EDIT IMPORTANT ENGINE INFO: I took over my own service (see below) and could not believe the gross negligence in the part of this dealership s service department. I am a trained mechanic, not a parts changer. These were my observations upon servicing my truck for the first time after they had it. Photos included. The tech failed to tighten the clamp where the air filter box meets the intake tube. This is a critical piece to tighten and it takes all of about ten seconds to do so. I caught this one early as I had to fill the oil to the proper level (see below) and gave it a once over when I did. It takes one cup of dirt in an engine to wreck it. Doesn t matter if it s over ten years or two months. I was going to let it go, however, when I changed the oil I found the plug to be grossly over tightened. I m not sure if the top of my head but I can say confidently the torque recommended by ford wouldn t be 100ft/lbs. The oil filter had zero oil on the gasket and was over torqued as well. I would be surprised if they even put the correct oil in it. These are simple things. The tech was either negligent or incompetent. Neither of those things are acceptable considering the cost of one of these new trucks. The service contract is not worth the paper it is written on. Charmin is cheaper.ORIGINAL 3 STAR REVIEW: The people in the dealership service department are extremely kind and professional. (Edit: the service department in Plainview is very good. I purchased a new ford and the premium service package that came with it for the scheduled maintenance. I will say that my truck has been on the low end of full of oil every time I ve had it changed there. In a diesel, that is almost a quart and a half low. Seems as though that s a cost saving thing on their end and I likely won t use the service here again because of it. I paid too much for the truck to blow an engine because someone wants to save a few dollars.)

I didn't know that Smith Auto offered mobile repair services, but I'm so grateful that they do, because my car battery was completely dead and I had no way of taking it anywhere to get it repaired! Cesar at Quick Lane told me to call Victor at Smith Auto and he set me up with Tim and he came to my location and replaced the battery and got me back into my car!!! I cannot express my gratitude enough. This service is so needed in Plainview! I will make sure I refer as many customers as possible! Again thank you!

Lori was a help from the beginning. When we started looking for a car and had questions about vehicles she would answer honestly and clearly. She checked on us to see if we had found what we were looking for. When we did find a vehicle that interested is, she was honest and went over all the details clearly. For our next purchase we will go back and let her help us.

I found this place through my employment and previously through a social media platform. BOTH times these people could not deliver and are so full of promises they had no intention of keeping or fulfilling. I inquired about a couple of vehicles and the salespeople were SOOO nice at first but when they realized it was too much work to get me into a vehicle, the salesperson (Jana) just vanished off the face of the earth, just like she promised she wouldn't do. She won't answer my calls or texts. No updates , no offer , no phone call telling me anything. I will not come back here a third time and I will not recommend this dealership to anyone and will be giving my employer this info.DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Purchased a used 2019 F250 from this dealer. The dealer agreed in writing as part of the conditions of the sale to perform a few repairs to the truck. In the process of performing some of the repairs they damaged the truck. Specifically there was a skid plate bolt in the frame they could not easily remove so they cut it off in the frame and did not replace / fix it. Now the skid plate only has one bolt holding it on the truck on that side. They also damaged the transmission oil pan and did not perform a front end alignment or full $250 make line ready detail. There are more issues but these are the main ones.After I contacted the dealer many times and spoke with Janna Ward the salesman and Victor the Sales Manager, I was told they could only offer me $100 gift card and the cost of the bolt itself. I told them it s not the cost of the bolt itself, it s the fact that it will take a technician hours to drill it out of the frame to replace it.Absolutely the worst vehicle buying experience I have ever had. They don t stand behind their written word! Very unfortunate.They have refused to do anything more than a $100 gift card despite a signed written agreement that details all of this. This offer is unacceptable considering all of the damage they caused and un-performed services could total well over $1,000-$2000The pictures below show the cut off bolt, the trans pan dented, the steering not touched for alignment and the filthy condition it was delivered to me in.

I drove in from out of town on a Friday around closing time for a hunting trip and unfortunately I had an issue with my DEF injector system unannounced. Luke took my truck in and had it fixed before noon the following day. If I lived closer to these guys, I would buy all of my trucks from them. Top notch!

My Expedition had been in the shop going on past four weeks now. We are dealing with warranty and I feel the service department has really drug their feet. We have called week to week and been told they d give us a call back numerous times and never received a call back. All to find out the part has been on backorder from the very beginning. They ve known and never said anything to us. This is a bad way of communication. Not only does this make this service department look bad but it puts a bad image on Ford. My wife finally went up there to get answers and she spoke with a Crystal and she tried to put blame on another service advisor because he started the ticket. Which no longer works there. He is real reason Smith Auto got our business to begin with. This is all unprofessional and she didn t know at the time but the individual she was talking about was a family friend and my wife immediately told her that! I just thought this was a very poor impression of what this company stands for and needs to be addressed! We were supposed to receive a call today still no call and vehicle still there!

I bought a certified pre-owned F-150 on June 28th, 2022. The truck had few miles on it and was still covered under Ford's warranty. Four days later the truck smokes on start-up. I took it back to the dealership and it took them a full week to simply get it looked at. The service department did not keep me updated that they did not have the parts. Instead, the truck sat doing nothing. When they finally got the parts, I had to call every week to get updates on the work. Each time I called there was always another excuse. It has been three months and now I'm being told they misdiagnosed it and had to start over. For three months I have been forced to borrow cars from family. I was not given a loaner, nor was I offered one. Meanwhile, I've made insurance payments on a truck I'm not driving. I've made truck payments on a vehicle I only drove for five days. Lastly, the last update I received was that we are, again, waiting on parts, and once again, I had to call them to get that update. I will not buy another vehicle from Smith Auto Family. While the salesman was great, and I've never had an easier time purchasing a vehicle, everything since then has been a nightmare. If this was a certified pre-owned vehicle, why did I immediately have problems with it that were obviously noticable? If the service department did not have the parts, why did they not inform me? And why is it that I have to call every single week to get an update just to be addressed as if I am the nuisance? It has been three months. Either fix my truck or buy it back.January 2024: Twenty months later and the engine in my truck has been rebuilt three more times. I asked the dealership to take the truck back and pay off the remainder of the loan while I would take a $9,000 loss. They told me the truck had too low of a trade-in value and that they have upheld their legal responsibility of repairing the truck. Nevermind the fact that it has been in the shop nearly half the time I've owned it.The check engine light just turned back on.
