Brought my truck here to get head gasket and arp head bolts installed just to leave the shop with more problems. Took it to an actual diesel mechanic that sent me pictures of the motor still having factory heads and bolts. JJ never did any work on my truck that I paid for so I paid thousands of dollars to get nothing done he s a scam artist that takes advantage of people please do not take it here . He messaged me asking me for money for pain medication. Very unprofessional guy and the shop reaked of cannabis everytime I showed up..Service: Engine repair

WORST AUTO SHOP EVER!My husband had his vehicle at JJ Rush Performance for nearly a year, where they allegedly installed a new engine. However, they never provided us with a warranty for the supposed new motor even when my husband kept asking for one. Shockingly, the so-called "new" engine is already experiencing issues. We are deeply dissatisfied with the shop's services and strongly advise against going there. Thousands of dollars down the drain! Don t even waste your time going there. Find another auto shop instead.

Let s just say my truck ran better before I brought it. I brought my truck to get some customs stuff done to it he kept on pushing it back stating there was more problems and that I needed to buy the parts for it. I have never had a mechanic ask for money down for anything and he was very rude to his clients. Finally I had to go and get my truck and take it to a different diesel mechanic shop to fix everything he didn t do to my vehicle. And gave me a tuner that didn t even power on and won t provide the part number or anything. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE !!!

Very nice guy, Johnny! However, he makes his actual living but again SmartStarts for Texas gov t and works on your vehicle in his spare time. So what takes another mechanic to ours might take JJ rush three or four days. I met a guy with a Ford truck that had it at JJ rushes for A YEAR. He finally got it towed to Steve Key auto just down the road on Washington.

Best service in town. I had a bad alternator that gave up on me suddenly and had to miss work because of it. I called around everywhere and couldn't find anything reasonably priced or able to help me same day on a Friday. I called here and he not only quoted me half the price of everyone else around but could do it same day, topped off my coolant no charge and went the extra mile to make sure everything was solid and good to go. This guy is passionate about what he does which is important when you're needing honest and good work done and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing any work done. He gets it done and done right.

Went to JJ rush performance to get an alternator replaced. Not only was he able to get it done in a timely manner kept me in the loop with the entire process. With this being a business that is so close by I will be taking multiple vehicles to him down the road. Johnny is the man!This is location in pilot point is the best, this is my 3rd time and each time they go out of their way to help meToday went in and it 100+ degrees , this gentleman was on his lunch break but put everything to pause to help meThey have always been professional and always putting customer interests firstAs someone who work in business and autobile, this work can be frustrating but never the less, they give the bestThank you John and team at JJ rush Perfomance~Aaron

I'm a client through Smart Start and I gotta say, this guy is awesome. He's super nice, fast, and he has helped me out more than once when he didn't have to because "I don't like for people to suffer." I think that shows good character and I really appreciate it

The owner and mechanic (Johnny Rushing) is the pure definition of a SCAMMER, LIAR, UNPROFESSIONAL, DISHONEST. EtcOne star is a great rating for this shop. I Took my truck to get engine replaced last October 2021 and paid this guy almost 8k, lied multiple times about not getting it fixed and made me go to the shop a few times to give me excuses. He Took the money to supposedly buy parts but never bought anything, didn t fix my truck and I had to pick it up to get it fixed somewhere else. He has done the same to many other, I m taking this shop to court to see if I can get anything back.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

I cannot begin to tell you how happy we are that we found JJ Rush Performance. They literally saved us THOUSANDS of dollars! Two dealerships quoted us over $15,000 to fix an issue with our engine. JJ Rush Performance was able to fix our issue for HALF the amount and they did it quickly and efficiently. They worked to find the best quality for the best price for us. We cannot thank them enough for saving us time, energy and money. Amazing experience and fantastic people. Thank you SO much!! We are forever grateful!

Super service and great price... had my Ram transmission and transfer case removed to replace crankshaft sensor and tone ring... i normally do my own work but after meeting JJ i knew he was an honest shop owner and competent.. I was proven correct as i rarely take my vehicles to any shop, including dealer, as i don't trust anyone working on my vehicles.. i have many collector cars and you bet i will be bringing them to JJ Rush Performance for any work i need in the future.. super reasonable prices and superior work ... IF YOU HAVE SMART START DO NOT COME HERE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THE PLACE IS A DUMP AND THE OWNER IS A CONFRONTATIONAL LOUD MOUTH. Website says they close at 5:30 but I was yelled at in front of my small children and treated horribly because I was somehow supposed to know they close at 5. The calibration I needed literally takes less than 10 minutes, a simple plug in and go. But he told me I needed to pay him an extra 50 on top of the 75 service fee for the inconvenience for him. I told him I couldn t do it and he unplugged the chord and told me to get off his property. So unprofessional and I m not the type to complain but that was just ridiculousService: General repairs & maintenance

Contracted JJ Rush Performance for emergency brakes and Exhaust manifold replacement. Was given a fair price for all the that needed to be done.Had a few problems, but JJ worked some long hours to get pass it so the job would be done as promised.Thank you for all your hard work.Jeff LeightonServices: Engine repair, Brakes

Called Johnny about my evaporator core in my impala and got not only an incredible quote for labor but was thankful for his honesty and knowledge! What most shops were telling me would take 2-3 days to complete, he did so in 1 day! I would highly recommended him and his shop to anyone with automobile questions, concerns and maintenance issues!! Great service!!!

There is nothing related to "RUSH" services, worst experience ever. The owner doesn't care about customer service and has a worst attitude. We made an appointment in advance, drove 50 min to get there (because we needed rush services) only to be there and be turndown because he didn't have us on the schedule. Then we made another appointment for next week, with him directly. Then again same thing happened. If you want to waste your time go there. Otherwise I recommend you go somewhere else.Service: Engine repair

I'm honestly not saying this will happen to you, but this is what happened to me. If I could give zero stars I would 100%. I know there are bad and misleading scammers out there, but I took a leap of faith in this shop. It's a small town business, so I decided to have faith like in our lord Jesus Christ. I was let down completely. He offered me a ride home every time I came over to check up(jonny was very nice, cool, and agreeable) my trust in him lead me to being convinced to put a large portion of the cost down up front, which you generally shouldn't do, but I had faith and misplaced my trust. I needed my transmission rebuilt, which I was told from multiple different mechanics. I took my business to jonny with my faith on high. He said he needed funds up front if I could, so I did. I spent around 8k in the end with new wheels involved as well as the radiator. Turns out I found the exact same transmission and radiator in my vehicle in the end with the same problems I had at the start. He told me my transmission was too far gone and had it sent to his transmission people to have it taken apart and they "told him" I just needed a new one so I took his word and sent in the funds to cover a 2009 transmission of a hummer my exact year and only 30,000 miles. I should have stopped there because the chances of that being here in that year, only 30,000 miles on it was a million in one chance, but still I had faith and trusted him. A BIG sign I made a Huge mistake was after I had put all my money in was one morning I went to check up at the shop he made his update and offered to drive me home. He smelled of marijuana. And this was before his work hours by 20 minutes. Needless to say I ended up taking my truck back to the dealership I bought it from about two hours away and they told me this was the same transmission And radiator that was in it when they sold it to me. Serial numbers and All. I thought it looked like there were not any components changed with no new looking fittings or anything. I know jonny did do Something to the transmission because it was better for about 2 months, but then right back to the exact same issue. What is the chance of that? Radiator worked about the same but it was hard to tell due to the much cooler weather. Again I'm not saying this will happen to you, but it did happen to me. He gained about 7k for work he didn't actually have done. He charged me for tires one size up when he in the end told me that size was not going to fit, again my fault for not questioning that and getting the difference back. I was just soo excited to get my vehicle back. My fault for my ignorance, but he did take advantage of my trust none the less. In the end months later he sent me a text claiming he sent it to the wrong person but it was about contacting a detective to press charges for faulty work on my vehicle. Mind you he never once contacted me to tell me about this. The dealership was proof enough he is a liar and scammer. Same transmission and same radiator. There was no honor in how he took advantage of me and my trust in him. The fact he moved out of Aubrey, and neighbors of his shop commenting of the stench of marijuana from his shop confirms it even more. Please beware of this before choosing this shop to do business with. Just because he did this to me does not mean he will do this to you. I'm sure he will be more careful now once he finds out about this post. I hope everyone has a better experience and he becomes a more honest person. He makes Pilot Point look bad to some of us, and we hope he becomes a better person. Who's to know but the Almighty! Be safe everyone.

All in all a great experience. Johnny and his team know how to take care of customers. It's the little things that make the biggest difference. He stands by his work and the staff provided good communication with me over the course of two weeks while everything on my truck was getting repaired. And I was out of town and hard to reach during that time. Thanks much. Will be back.

I had a very good experience. They are honest professionals that know what they are doing. They explain my cars issue so well that even i can understand it.. They are the CHEAPEST and they even supplied me with a ride to and from home so I didn't have to wait there. These guys are Awesome !!!! I highly recommend JJ RUSH PERFORMANCE

Almost every time i went to get my car calibration he was either busy or his computer was down. Do not recommend for your smart start provider.

The owners scammed me out of $4000. When I finally went to check on my vehicle it was in pieces. The owner lied on multiple occasions about updates on my vehicle. STAY AWAY!!!! Johnny Rushing will steal your money.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

I chose JJ Rush after reading these 5 star reviews. However my experience w them is far from 1 star. Brought my Nissean Xterra to them for transmission work. They were supposed to rebuild the transmission. Instead 3 weeks later I have a SUV not fixed and Johnny lied time after time to me. We paid him $1900 and have nothing to show for it.This company is at best untruthful and definately unethical.We asked him to give us at least partial payment back as they failed to live up to what they promised and guaranteed in writing.( have receipts). They refused.I will be seeking a lawyer & would advise anyone wanting tranmission work to go elsewhere. I am extremely disappointed & did not have 1900 dollars to throw away. Beware!!!

Honest and reliable! The only place in the area I will bring my vehicles. Great customer service (gave me a ride home so I didn't have to wait), honest pricing ($400 less than the chain store only 3 miles down the street). Didn't take advantage of me and that's is hard to find these days.

Great people fair pricing and thorough took car to 2 different shops one being a corporate shop to give whole car look over prior to a long road trip all said was good to go no issues these guys found few very obvious issues that needed to be addressed which was done timely and everything was properly communicatedThey make you feel like family can t find that anywhere nowadays would definitely recommend to anyone
