I went to Automax due to reviews from other sites and will state that I'm very satisfied with the extensive work they performed on my vehicle. I'll gladly return here for all future work on my 22 year old pride & joy. Miguel runs a professional shop here, folks, and he is very fair, upfront, and honest. And besides, it's right around the way from where we live. Automax has our business for as long as we live nearby.

Miguel and his team are quick and efficient . Definitely trust him and his opinion on my vehicles. Inspections and oil changes are fast! He has a very clean waiting area. Very happy customer every single time!

Came at 1 pm for inspection but was told to all technicians went to lunch so need to wait an hour. So I went home. I came again at 5 pm, I was told that inspection can t be done because the road is wet. I understand we had a rain in the afternoon and some part of the road is still a little wet. But there are dried roads too So I called another car inspection service and they said they can do inspection without any issues. Well .I guess you just can t come to this shop at 1 pm (their lunch hour) even though they open the whole day. And you can t come after a rain too :(

I found this shop because I live in the area. I have brought a few vehicles here for state inspections and no issues. Great customer service and very friendly.Last week my son's car had an alternator problem and they fixed that as well as a pulley that was bad. They also advised him on some other things he should consider.I have confidence the owner cares about the quality of work his shop performs. We will be back if we need future repairs.

Twice I've come by here. Twice I was treated VERY disrespectfully. The first time I came the repair guys saw me enter, left the garage, came back with food, sat down to eat lunch right in my face and told me to park "over there" and they'd get to me. I left after 15 minutes.Today, when I came every parking space was full, so I pulled into the first empty garage bay.A frumpy and clearly pained guy in desperate need of some self-care walked up to me and said, "Who are you and why are you parked in my garage?"I left. Based on the high-star rating, I have to to assume my treatment is race-related, as I am a black woman with no history with this place. Oh well, it is what it is.

Needed to get my SUV s thermostat replaced, they provided a great estimate and gotten back in a couple days.. staff is friendly and professional, I would, however, recommend for them to give better times for repair completion.

I use them for my state inspection and they are fast and very friendly. Price is great as well. This is my second year using them and I recommend to anyone who lives in the area. If I ever need repairs or service I'll be sure to update this review on things relevant to that.

This place is AMAZING!! Miguel is honest and treats you like family. He will not sell you something you don t need and will give you fair price on all services. I went too precision tune and lambs auto in Pflugerville and both of them did bad business. Miguel fixed my problem and I haven t had any problems since. I recommend too anyone and everyone.

I got my front brakes done around March and afterwards the steering wheel would wobble when I braked around 40 mph. I called them to tell them and I was told that it may be a problem with the rear brakes, and that I should get them replaced to see if the problem went away. There was still life left on the rear brakes though, so I waited a few months as it got worse.I took the car to a shop I had used before and trusted, and they replaced the rear brakes. They checked the front brakes and said the pins had not been greased causing them to stick to the rotor, and the clips were also missing causing uneven wear. I had to pay for front brakes a second time.I can only imagine someone new or with little experience did the brakes, but someone supervising should have done a driving test and noticed the mistake. The person I called should have advised me to bring the car back to check the work.I have never experienced a problem like this with a car repair before, and I'm disappointed that this well reviewed and convenient shop could make such a mistake.Service: Brakes

I was needing to renew my vehicle registration and needed to get my Mustang inspected. I Googled inspection stations around Round Rock area and came across several inspection stations on Google results.After reading customer concerns at several locations that had upward reviews ranging from 100-200, I observed that there were high number of complaints of up selling and unethical practices of vehicles being worse off after they left the shops.I came across Automax Service & Repair and was hesitant because there were only about 35-40 reviews. However, of those reviews, the average was 4-5 stars.I decided to stop by and check it out. It's the best decision I ever made regarding car inspection and car maintenance. Miguel inspected my car and I didn't have any concerns it would not pass as I keep my cars well maintained.Miguel is a straight shooter, and I advised him of some concerns I had with some strut/shock work that was performed on my vehicle at a nationally recognized service center.Miguel confirmed that the work was not performed correctly after I explained what was occurring after the struts/shocks were replaced.I had gotten under my vehicle about a week after the work was done and 400 miles away from where it was serviced, and noticed that the driver's side strut was missing the rubber insulation on the bottom of the spring. It was present on the passenger's side. I originally took the car in because passenger side strut was rattling around like the strut mount kit needed replacement there were no other noises with my suspension. I advised the nationally recognized service center I wanted front struts and strut mount kits replaced and rear shocks.After they replaced struts/shocks driver's side spring was making a noise when I turned this was due to them forgetting to put back the rubber sleeve that goes slipped on the bottom of the spring. The car still rattles on the passenger's side which may indicate they didn't replace the strut mount kit or maybe it's time to replace my motor mounts.Nonetheless, Miguel is honest and does not try to up sale and takes the time to explain the problem and offer a solution. Miguel's labor rates are also fair and competitive to other shops, but with his shop you can buy your own parts and they'll put them on.Automax will be my go-to service center when I can't do the work myself.Excellent customer service and honest. Two Thumbs Up!!

I've been taking 3 of my cars to AutoMax for about 5 years now.Repairs, inspections, oil changes. Best pricing around. But more importantly to me, they are all very honest, fair, friendly and even sometimes will fix minor issues at no cost !!

I have an old car and I don't know a lot about cars. They were very nice and super patient and I will come back with any other car issues I have. Miguel is who fixed my car but the other employees that I spoke with are nice too.

I stopped in, without an appointment, in need of an inspection on my motorcycle. They told me to bring the bike in out of the rain. They were all friendly and helpful and my bike was inspected in no time.
