My experience with Aus-Tex Transmission was incredible. My wife s Escalade had lost the transmission and sat for a year while saving up to get a new one. Everywhere I went the quote was WAY out of my budget, the we found Aus-Tex. The staff is extremely friendly, they matched us with our budget, had the vehicle ready ahead of schedule, and the vehicle drivers like a dream. Thank you AusTex for helping us back onto the road!

Just picked up my truck 2003 F350 from getting a Stage 1.5 transmission shifts a lot better than before. Will keep updated on longevity of the transmission but so far so good. Customer service was good as well no complaints there.

Lost some gears and was losing reverse, Called Aus-Tex on a Friday and was able to drop the truck off on Monday. The turn around was super fast given Thanksgiving was in that same week. They updated me every step of the way and didn t add on anything else without letting me know first. 10/10 would recommend to anyone having some transmission issues!

I m not going to say much here. You want it done right with someone who has been doing it and continues to grow his knowledge that s Pepe at Aus-Tex. When I m asked do I know anyone I send them to him. You want it done right first go, see Pepe. My 2nd transmission from them 2 different vehicles. This last one they did complete install on it. They communicate, they have great customer service, and they get the job done right. As long as Aus-Tex is around they will have my business and will continue to refer anyone I come across to them.

Recently got my 6L80 built with a stage 2 package for my silverado and the people here were very helpful keeping me updated through the whole processes, highly recommend any transmission work to Pepe and all the others here at AusTex.

I had my 2002 Mazda B3000 dual sport transmission rebuilt. There was an issue with valve body but they warranty it with issues. Customer service is beyond great. Also tech support from Pepe is top notch. Highly recommend getting your transmission work done by these great people.

From start to finish, Aus-Tex Transmission was phenomenal in their service and product. Hats off to the young man that helped me gain the confidence needed to replace my transmission all on my own. Aus-Tex has transmission and diesel repair specialist. It's the only family owned repair shop we take our Dodge for over 4 years now. Honest in the work that needs to be done; Trustworthy in knowing you're safe when you pick up your vehicle and it's repair is compete and done right; and Fair in the price they charge for parts and their time.

First, I have to say the ladies in the office were awesome, very knowledgeable and funny and kept me up to date with pictures and info on my transmission rebuild. The qoute they gave me was exactly what they said .The guys rebuild my transmission in time period they told me and did a great job! they even painted it. I am not typically the type to write a review, especially not one like this. But in this case I can't help but tell this. I got the chance to purchase one of my dream trucks a chevy (90's OBS). I love this truck and could not have been happier to get the lucky deal I did. The truck was in amazing original condition and only had 2 owners. I am no stranger to mechanics and knew it would require some love motor wise. I had a new rebuilt block put in, new starter, ignition switch, spark plugs & wires, radiator, water pump, back axle you name it, I have tried to replace and do as much as I can. Well it then came time to need the transmission done. I first brought my truck to Aus-Tex in 2020 and got my transmission redone. I was pleased with the ladies in the office and with my truck, so I thought. I figured this would be my final major purchase for a little while considering all the rest that has been replaced. WRONG!!! my garage kept truck that I wouldn't even end up driving a 1,000 miles would fail. But unfortunately when it failed I was past my 12 months in the warranty but not the 12,000 miles. Not even a 1,000 into that 12,000 my truck torque converter fell or failed. I got one story then another. But it gets better. I took it back to them and got it repaired there since they were the last people to have their hands on it. Also, I wanted to have faith in them, like I said I was pleased customer service wise at first, and thought they would help restore my truck. Again, I bring it home and it is put in the garage. It is a collector truck to me so I don't drive it daily, or very far for that matter. I have wanted to baby this truck since I got it. But yet again, it would find itself back in their shop for a broken flywheel that started making a noise as soon as I brought it home. My fault for thinking it wouldn't have anything to do with my transmission when I heard the noise. I took it to my mechanic not knowing for sure what the sound was, and he told me it was the flywheel hitting my shield. So I called them and they scheduled me an appointment about a month out to bring it in. When I got it towed there, sure enough it was my flywheel but I would have to pay an additional $1000 cost to have this fixed as well. This now brings the total amount to $4500.00 that I would pay these people to do my transmission work/truck work for the 3rd time. Of course I picked it up and have chosen another shop instead. My problem is not with paying. I am a laborer myself, I know labor and trade cost money. But everything that has broken on my truck since 2020 when I first brought my truck here has been parts that are ATTACHED to my TRANSMISSION!! So how do the things that keep breaking on my truck are parts attached to my TRANSMISSION !?!?!?! I understand how a transmission works and know it is connected to my torque converter and then it is also connected at the flywheel. They are separate parts but connected in a way to the transmission. I am not saying that the parts couldn't be old and needing to be replaced, but then tell me, don't put my truck back together just to let it fail and fall apart once I bring it home. And if you cracked my flywheel then just tell me, don't let it seem like it is my fault. I KNOW MY TRUCK!!!!!! I baby her and treat her well, like I said I waited to get a truck like this and just to have someone play me for a fool and mess her up (my chevy). But I have the original paperwork from 2020 when I first brought it, as well as messages, emails and pictures. They were not so well with the pictures after the first time, guess I know now why - you were continuously tearing up my truck and trying to hide it. And trying to make a bunch of 5 star reviews to try to cover this up isn't going to work. I am coming for the money I WASTED paying this company to restore my truck. You took advantage and gave poor service, and will not admit your faults. So thank you guys for destroying my truck!!! BUT NEVER AGAIN AUS-TEX

If you have a 68rfe or any of the 47 48 dodge diesel you better get a unit from this place If you want it to last. Or Atleast get the parts and guidance he offers to professional builders so you get it right the first time !!! Hats off to aus-tex they pay attention to detail. How do I know I m a builder myself. Got my truck hauled over to austex due to a cracked trans housing & I didn't know why it cracked & they quickly found the sollution it was due to bad pinion angles so truck got everything done internally in rearend new 6l80 housing stage 1 internals circle d 2600 stall torque converter new built rearend 4:56 gears Yukon axles seals bearing kiy Eaton trutrac trucool 40k with hd braided cooler lines 5" aluminum driveshaft. Drove the truck home for 5 hours & just by normal driving no need to go wot it felt better than ever & more responsive austex sure exceeded my expectations.

What can I say.... Excellent work and service. There are people out there that repair and change parts. Then there are those that fix things. And then there are the few that are a step (or 5) above all of those people. That's Pepe and AusTex. You may be able to get a job done cheaper...but always remember you get what you pay for.... In reliability AND experience. These guys and gals know their shi.. stuff. A++++

Hand down a solid establishment. I didn t even end up purchasing and after they said freight would kill the whole transaction for me due to pricing and having to set up freight they were still helpful and informative knowing I wasn t going to purchase.

It's been a while that I have had to put my car in any shop for a major repair such as this recent for transmission rebuild to my Lexus IS250; and I rarely take the time to do reviews but from the time I walked in and described the issue I was having to the completion of the work that was required I was extremely happy with the process and the work. I love the fact that they have someone on staff to "text message" with updates and send pictures of the work being performed. Special shout-out to Sabrina who was the one that kept me informed throughout the process via text message! ..also, to Pepe - thank you for performing the work and your expertise in what you do! I wasn't ready to let go of my 2006 Lexus (IS250).

Aus-Tex Transmission was a great experience from the initial visit to the end. The front office folks explained exactly what they were going to do including the heavy duty transmission parts (F350). The time frame plan was 10 to 12 days, they were able to rebuild, install and deliver within four days. I m very impressed with quality of work.Service: Transmission

I only left 5 stars because I could give this guy 10 little would you know because he is way too humble you have found one of the absolute best transmission guys in the. Area as well as being an industry leader each and every transmission they build and sell comes with a free paint job and it's sure to look better than most rigs thank you for your expertise and what u put into our industry ..

Aus-Tex has awesome customer service the office ladies were very nice and helpful. When I got there to drop off my truck they gave me a tour of the shop and showed me where everything happens and I even got to talk to the owner Pepe who was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. Perla kept me informed with pictures of everything, the transmission came out looking badass and they even installed a fleece coolant bypass for me. Would recommend for anyone looking to get a rebuilt transmission.Service: Transmission

Austex has rebuilt 2 transmissions for me and 1 transmission for a friend of mine. The first transmission was for 7.3 powerstroke that was pushing more than 1000 ftlbs of torque. This rebuild was not a stock rebuild because of the torque output of the motor. When I got the truck back it slammed through the gears just like I wanted and quit over heating, it was a freakin awesome transmission.The second transmission was for my sons truck. We had an issue with a small leak from the dipstick tube right after we got the truck back. Austex replaced the dipstick tube at no additional charge for the inconvenience of having to bring the truck back for the repair. Great group of people at Austex. Thanks Pepe and Sabrina

I can't say enough how please I am with the service I received with Aus Tex transmission. I had them rebuild the transmission on my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500. Sabrina was a pleasure to deal with and communicated frequently from quote to final invoice! They were fairly priced and made sure I knew what all my options were as well as made recommendations that were sound. They hit the timeline exactly as quoted and answered all of my questions when I picked my truck up. It has performed great so far and I expect it will keep me running another 200,0000 miles! Pepe and his team at Aus-Tex Transmission ALWAYS "understand the assignment" as you might see on Tik Tok. My cars have always been serviced by them and I trust that they will fix what needs to be fixed at a reasonable price. I am always kept up to speed and updated with pictures and explanations of my cars needs. I am grateful of having Aus-Tex here because there are not many trustworthy shops out there. My business will always go to them, customer for life. Also, I must add: as a woman getting her cars fixed/serviced, I have never felt uncomfortable asking what I need to ask, neither have I ever been over charged or sold jobs that my car doesn't need.Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes

May only be me but got 2 transmissions for Alfredo and they dirent even last got a stage 2 4l60e and stuff broke on it with a stock motor. And on the second trans I had to pay even though it was still under warranty and get the second one back and I bought a bigger trans cooler to see it it would last and nop last even shorter time. My first trans shop and I would not recommend this place at all for Chevy transmission I still had to pay my mechanic 2 times for a transmission job and they trying to blame me for breaking them how am I gunna break a 500hp trans with only 190+- motor
