Rick at Simms Automotive is the ONLY professional master mechanic I trust with mine and my families vehicles. He is not only extremely detailed and informative with all the work he does on my vehicles, but also you can tell he cares about doing a top notch job. Rick and Robin own the best Mechanic shop I have ever frequented and is now the only shop I use for anything vehicle related.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance, Battery, Oil change

This is a family owned business with owners who treat you like they are your family. I have had various mechanics and shops throughout the years, but since I found Simms Automotive, I have not needed another mechanic. He has serviced my family's vehicles for many years. I have had routine maintenance and numerous repairs done here on our cars. I currently own a 4Runner and have over 250,000 miles on it. Because of the owner, Rick, my car is running great even after all these miles! Rick is a master mechanic, but more than that, he takes the time to know your car and he will tell you the immediate needs and prepare you for expenses to come in the future, that way you can budget for them in advance. He is even great at checking out cars you may want to purchase. He is a kind, knowledgeable and trustworthy man. I highly recommend Simms Automotive for all your car maintenance and car needs.

I went in for a simple oil change. Instead I received a great deal of information on how to best take care of my car, a look through by a master mechanic, tire pressure filled, fluids checked, and a detailed customer profile created so that Rick can track what maintenance is done and what is due on my car. Oh, and I got my oil changed.The front desk was polite and knowledgeable, Rick is a great guy who runs a great shop.Simms Automotive comes highly recommended.

Simply put, I WILL NOT use another mechanic to work on my vehicles. Rick Simms is one of the most honest individuals I have ever known. Other than diagnostics, no work is performed until authorized. Additionally, a complete explanation of what service is to be performed and why it is necessary is always provided. Rick is extremely detail oriented, thorough, and takes great pride in his work. Rick treats my car as if he would be driving his own family around in it. All automotive repair shops should be run with the same level of integrity as Simms Automotive.

I highly recommend Simms Automotive. They have taken care of my personal "fleet" of vehicles for over 15 years. Simms is a professional, dependable and thorough operation. Simms employees have cared for my vehicles as though they were their own. I have never been disappointed with their services. Their customer service is outstanding. The shop is clean and up-to-date. Their labor prices are competitive with the professional auto industry. The technicians are continually trained on the latest automobile engines and electronics. If they have been unable to service a specific vehicle issue I've had, they assist by providing options and referrals. Simms is the only automotive repair business I trust.

Exceptional professional service and care for any automobile. My family recently moved to Pearland and I needed to repair a leak I noticed on my new driveway, it was the rear differential for my F150 Raptor. I found Simms Automotive in the neighborhood and they went above and beyond to take care of me and my truck. The total cost for the repairs was clearly communicated to me before any work was started and when they finished the bill was actually $150 less than they estimated. One of the parts was cheaper and they passed that savings on to me, I am confident that most shops would not have handled it the same. I have worked with dozens of automotive repair businesses in the past and I have over a decade of hands-on experience working on vehicle repairs, custom modifications as well as paint and graphics... Rick and his family own and operate this shop with the goal to treat customers vehicles as their own. I have heard that many times before but this was the first time it was 100% legitimized by the quality of their work, knowledge for vehicles and compassionate customer care. I highly recommend Simms Automotive for maintenance and repairs.

Pros: Rick and company are highly skilled and have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to servicing your vehicle. Also, i enjoyed looking at the old parts and being explained what was wrong with them.Cons: Although they try to keep up with communicating through text and phone calls they fall a little short in that area. Rick and company are working on other vehicles so their time is limited to give updates.Overall: They put out quality work in a timely fashion and educate the customer if they have the time to listen. It only takes a few minutes to speak with Rick to know that he cares about his work and his customers. I will definitely use Simms Automotive again.4.5 Stars from me...

We heard of this place by my step Dad that is a member of a local Church in the area. He mentioned how a member of his church can help us with our vehicle. So My husband and I went to them thinking they wouldn't rip us off. After paying for a full diagnostic on our vehicle, they said to change the ABS would be $1,300 for parts and labor. Once we told my step father, Even he said that was over charging because it's easy to replace those. When we called to ask further questions about our vehicle so we could figure out what part to replace ourselves, She said she would call my husband back and never did. It's only money with these so called Godly people. Because since we didn't go spend a arm and a leg for something they were over charging us for, they couldn't help answer a question they knew about the part needed to change out. We called Lincoln dealer ship, and they we're a huge help on what part we needed to change. Just over the phone from telling them what the Automatic diagnosed. My husband looked up online for the part and he changed it out his self in less then Ten Minutes! He found the exact part for $80.It's a shame. But we will definitely not recommend this place too anyone!

FINALLY, my wife and I found a mechanic who is honest and worth of our trust. We've lived in Pearland for nearly 10 years and tried many places until we stumbled upon Simms. We have used them for 2+ years on our 3 cars - for major fixes & diagnostics (troublesome ones that other mechanics never got right), and I waited a while to rate them to make sure our vehicles were truly fixed. They were right, and up front about the costs, and we are very grateful.They also did a pre-purchase check on a used car we were thinking of purchasing. They steered us away from a potential money pit. The second car we brought in for this check they accurately said was sound, and we never had an issue with it.

Rick is the absolute most thorough mechanic I have ever talked to. Really takes the time to explain everything and make and make it understandable. Zero pressure when it comes to what needs to be done and gives options to boot. Family run business that makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. Great team! Just wish I would have found them sooner.
