Love this Shop! It's a father/son team that are good honest people. If they can't fix they'll tell you instead of lying about just to earn a buck. Prices are very reasonable at that. After getting several quotes from different places I chose Durango s Auto & Transmission Services to do the work on my vehicle. Besides great reviews I had a friend who had used them and was pleased with the work they did. After speaking with Oscar about bringing my vehicle there I felt that they would do a good job. It s a Father ( Ernesto) and Son ( Oscar)shop. Ernesto Campos is very knowledgeable in automatic transmissions and even explained what happened with mine when I went to pick up my vehicle. Oscar told me how many days it would take to repair and I got it back sooner than I thought I would. I was very pleased , great customer service and I ll be using them for other services, they also do oil changes, tune-ups, brakes but for transmission work Ernesto knows what he s doing. I moved to Pasadena this year and as a young female I often get ripped off at auto shops... Not Durango s. Very nice Father and Son business with extremely knowledgeable mechanics who ALWAYS call with a quote before making any repairs. Definitely the only shop I will goto. the reviews are TRUE. My check engine light came on and Auto Zone s reader said it was a fuel pump issue, Durango s diagnostic showed it was a separate piece for my intake near my exhaust that was malfunctioning, not my actual fuel pump (which would ve been more expensive to replace). very thankful for them!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

This is a father/son business which I found by driving down the street when looking for a shop to repair the suspension of my truck. Oscar, the son, was very cordial and helpful and told me he could take me home so I wouldn't have to wait. The job was done that day, well performed and reasonably priced. I am very thankful to have found a mechanic whom I can trust and to whom I can go for other repairs needed!Service: Steering & suspension repair

I used this shop not too long ago to replace the fuel pump on my truck. The guy seemed really honest, kept me informed, and had the work done quickly. I'm going to need some more work done soon and this shop is definitely at the top of my list for places to go.

They are the best. We completely trust them. Honesty is something that really matters to us. I highly recommend them for any vehicle work you need done. I won't use anyone else but them.

I've lived in Houston for about two years with no major car issues. But my car is older so I wasn't surprised when I began to have problems . I took my car to these guys and I don't think I will take it anywhere else. They are super knowledgeable and work with me on what needs to be done. I had several suspension issues and they patiently worked with me on fixing one issue at a time as I could not afford to do it all at once. We are still in the process of getting it done but I am thankful to have found them.

Mechanic was very nice, only issue I had was we paid $65 for a diagnostic and usually you get a full list on paper or what s wrong and cost to fix. They literally just handed us a receipt and said since they didn t do any work, they don t put it in their system. But if I m paying $65, I expect some form of proof to take home with me so I know issues and costs for future times when I m better able to afford it. But now it makes it to where I cannot go anywhere else without paying them to do a diagnostic, pretty much forcing me to only use them to save money.

I normally do most of my auto repairs but i recently over stepped my boundaries when my transmission went out and i tried to do the repairs myself. Durangos was able to get my truck back on the road at a very reasonable price.

UPDATE (05/12/21): 8 years later, still going strong! I have also recently sent my in-laws here as well for services on their vehicle (engine swap issues) and they have fallen in love with Oscar! Very intelligent, communicative and friendly service as always. Durango's found older forgotten underlying issues and brought it to their attention. My in-laws will continue to help promote Durango's and prefer them even over the dealership! Great work guys!-8 YEARS AGO: Excellent, fast, quality service. Brought my 99 Integra here for a new water pump. I didn't have the tools to do a timing belt and pulley wheels. I chose them because one of the younger mechanics here use to drive an Eclipse (Now Evo) and while he was selling it, I talked to him about it and all the mods he had done to it. So, I knew he knew cars well and was safe letting them work on mine. Received my car the next day. Noticed it even sounded better and ran smoother. What I love most about them so far is when you tell them something is wrong, they fix whats wrong. You wont go in wanting new ignition wires and come out with an overhauled engine. This place is awesome. I had work done twice here that another mechanic was suppose to fix, but didn't do the job right. Not only did Oscar fix what the other mechanic didn't, he did it at a good price. This auto shop has been on Preston in in Pasadena for years! My oldesr daughter Carlee uses them for her mechanical needs. They are reasonable, reliable, and just good honest workers. They do stay busy but are good at letting you know a timeline and working you in.

I IMPLORE YOU, DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give this place no stars I would. I took my car in a couple weeks ago to get my power steering pump replaced. After only a week and a half it started acting up again. I was told by another mechanic that they may not have installed it properly and left air in the system. So I took it back thinking that they would do the right thing and give it a look. Almost immediately, they suggested me going to buy another pump and paying them again for labor. The owner and his son were rude and treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about. So after half an hour of trying to convince them to look at it, (without charging me again for labor) they took it around back and popped the hood. Another 30 minutes, and they were finished, saying now I had a leak in one of hoses but that they temporarily fixed it (DUCT TAPE!) and when I asked if they could fix the leak they told me "NO to take it somewhere else." So I took it to the other mechanic that had looked at it before and he said there was nothing wrong with the hose that morning! Meaning they cut the hose to let the air out, put duct tape over it and then told me I needed a new hose. I REPEAT, DO NOT GO HERE! They ended up costing me more money! I will be contacting the better business Bureau and reporting them..

First I would like to start by saying wonderful experience. Ernesto rebuilt my transmission on a 91 Chevy truck. There shop is clean and service is excellent. My truck is a happy happy truck. I would refer anyone who wants transmission work done,do yourself a favor Durango is your guys.This place is a cut above the rest ,top notch. Professional,courteous,timely and affordable. I have been driving my truck for a full month and his work stands strong. Durango you rock

I have done done business with Durango in the past. So when I needed some work done on my car last week you guys was my first choice. But I will not do business with you again after the way I was treated. Last week I called 4 time to get an estimated. Over and over I was told we will call you right back no one did. The last time I called the guy on the phone said I am sorry let me look up how much the parts is give me 20 mins and I will call back. No call back so I guess you don't need my business I happily took it elsewhere.

These people are amazing,,,I have alot of friends who think they are mechanics,,,but not one of them could figure out what was wrong with my truck,,,I took it to Durango's and Oscar went way beyond what I thought a mechanic was,,,he found the problem and took the time to call me daily and update me and fixed it at an incredible price,,,I'm so impressed with the service and how knowledgeable this young man is,,, Durango's is a gold mine,,,I definitely recommend y'all take your vehicles to these true professionals,,,5 stars doesn't come close to my experience with them,,,,thank y'all so much,,,I won't ever take my vehicle to the dealership ever again,,, Oscar,,thank you young man!!!

Man i took my 1999 Honda Prelude to the with skipped timing and in need of head work and they fixed it within a week. Extremely impressed and have had zero issue since.

Gustavo Ramirez no matter which way you look at it. Durango did what was wrong and cut the line!! I purchased another line it was replaced and bleed properly and GUESS WHAT it had no other issue. DURANGO's did not do what was right after we paid him and wanted to be paid again because "WE DID NOT PURCHASE HIS PART". My husband purchased his part before and he still charged us twice to do the same job that he did not complete properly. So I will write of review. And God knows exactly what happened. You work for Durango so of course!!! But I stand for what is right and what was done to us. REGARDLESS.. My husband, my brother, My son, My self and The other Mechanic and You all at Durango's knew that Line was not leaking. Never had a leak, Never advise of a leak when the Fuel pump was replaced by Durangos, Ect. The owner was upset at my brother for asking how he bleed the brakes. Took it upon his self to say he would look at it and not even 15 minutes later called us to say there was a leak and that he temperately repaired the issue. His temporary REPAIR was to cut the line to release the air and then Guess what "THERE WAS A LEAK." Durangos lost a customer who has spent THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WITH HIM AND TRUSTED and we never thought he would do this until he did!! Lesson learned!! WE HAVE NEVER BEEN TOLD THAT OUR MONEY WOULD BE RETURNED. THAT IS A LIE.
