not impressed with this business. explained what was supposedly wrong with my trucks transmission, showed me how they supposedly fixed the problem no old parts just pictures???? and attached a warranty that I have used 3 times now. Would not recommend their services

This tranmission Shop is absolutely, most highly NOT RECOMMENED. I had my car brought here to have a transmission service done on my car. Also my car gas tank was completely empty. Mr Jeff call me that evening saying my car won't start. That it will crank than stall. And my reply, was look at dash it's says 0.0 on the gas mlog. I had 2 gallon jug of super that was to be left with car. But it wasn't and ended up on my front porch and I don't understand why ? So I asked Mr. Jeff he could ticket me for gas or I can bring him my jug. Mr Jeff said well alright it takes unleaded right. After I just told him my 2 gallon jug was filled with super.... so again I respected myself to him and said super only. Mr Jeff called me next morning said has your car been flooded and my reply was no why? He said well you need to come pickup car cause your gas tank has water in it and I'm a transmission guy only. I was confused and asked him how is this possible and you know for sure? Mr. Jeff reply back was ya one of my guys pulled you tank hose off and it was nothing but water. So I told him I would be up there later today. I show up and asked him we both know my tank was empty and he had went to store for gas that he needed to fix this and Mr Jeff story changed and he said it was his son who got gas for my car not him. I then asked Mr Jeff what gas station did your tht get it.? Mr Jeff reply was nothing he ignored me and I had to ask him more than four times and Mr Jeff reply finally was why does it matter ?? Mr Jeff customer service was negative and disrespectful towards me with attitude on anything I asked about. This

I went in because I was having transmission problems with it slipping and to have my brakes changed. They were very reputable, professional and efficient. They found my problem and took care of it at a extremely reasonable price compared to others. I def recommend if you are having any issues with your vehicle to give them a shout for your needs. Jeff at Baker s was extremely helpful. He kept me informed & updated on the status of my car. He gave me a quote & stuck to it. Then I needed a/c work done & he helped me with this as well. I've now taken 2 of my classic cars into them over the past two years for transmission items and have been very happy with the results both times. There are not many shops around that still have the knowledge or "want to" work on older cars. Yes, they are usually busy and require an appointment. Yes, they are more expensive than the fella fixing cars outta his house. If you value quality work, convenient location, honesty, and reliability this is your place for transmission work around Orange, TX.

My husband has taken three vehicles over the years to Baker's. Each time they are professional, give you a price range up front, have the vehicle done when they say they will, and haven't had any follow up problems ever with any of the transmissions they've repaired. They are our "go to" for transmission work every time and we highly recommend them. Friendly staff.Service: Transmission

Diagnosed my issue, fixed properly before scheduled completion time, Greg and Jeff took great care of me with excellent customer service, they were in contact me through the whole repair and there were no suprises. Best transmissions shop in southeast texas, there's a reason they have been in business for 38 years when other shops have shut down. The Freeman's are very knowledgeable, dependable, do quality work at a fair price , great people, have used them for 20 years for transmission and other repairs, would highly recommend to anyone, I wouldn't go anywhere else.Service: Transmission

Called up Bakers Transmission because my Is250 would not go in reverse. I didn't want to go with a brand new transmission, but the guys were resourceful. Found me a used one with 80k miles and I'm back up and running like its brand new. I brought my car to this place to get a diagnostic run on my car because it s not shifting right. I gave the person at the front desk my keys and he said he ll have a look at it. Couple hours went by and I got a call back from this place. Person at the front desk said that could be more of electrical problem than a mechanical problem. For them to do a full diagnostic it will cost between $400-$600 dollars. I said no thank I ll go and pick up. After getting there said they charge me $100 for partial diagnostic. I felt like I got rip off a $100 for nothing. They didn t even tell me what kind of electrical problems is going on or anything. If I knew this was going to happen I would ve never came to this place. I end up figuring out the problem after I went to O rielly and ran a diagnostic for FREE! And actually getting answers that I was looking for.

The guy I purchased a vehicle from just had a rebuilt transmission put in by bakers two months prior with a 12 month warranty. Transmission throwing codes and having overdrive complications I called baker and the the man that answered the phone was not professional and said they have a policy that they do not cover warranty if the vehicle has a new owner he said they did not even want to see it. Bakers transmissions is the biggest joke.

These guys went above and beyond to find what was wrong with my car. Then they fixed the problem even when it really wasn't a service they provide. Brought my vehicle to Bakers cause of transmission problems.They said they test drove it and said it was leaking fluid everywhere and I needed new transmission.4900 $.I took it to Vidor transmissions and they said I had small leak and replaced my bushing and seal.Put new oil in .They also found two broke bolts on my transmission.Anyway They fixed me up for a few hundred dollars .Vidor transmission could have sold me a new transmission but their honesty saved me thousands of dollars.Thank you Vidor transmissions.I recommend Vidor transmission.Service: Transmission

My trans went out while i was in orange and I got it rebuilt here it went out twice within 3 months of getting it back and the performance tourque converter the guy put on it malfunctioned and wouldn't go into everdrive the guy did warantee to get it fixed buy a different shop in my home town but it was a big inconvenience. Iv also been told buy a few people that I was way over charged
