My name is Michael Wright and my wife is Stacy Wright we have been coming here for over 5 years.I promise u in the name of Jesus Christ u can trust them with your life!!!! What a wonderful becoming family they are!!!!!! They are very honest and they will treat you right!!!!! Their is no company out their like Greasy Monkey Transmission, they are the best of the only best Top Gun!!

This place was egar too get my truck in and fix it for 3200. Went picked it up and it was missing third or fourth gear so took it back, and it sat for over two weeks before they even looked at it. Every time I would call and check on it, and I was very nice, i got Nothing but attitude from the lady on the phone. Went and picked up my truck transmission bolts werent even tight. Was missing one nut and the other i was able to unscrew with my fingers

Not sure if they even looked at my car thoroughly before giving a diagnosis. Car sat almost 4 weeks in the exact same spot, I live not to far so I periodically drove by. Was not the TCM the transmission had internal damage per Ford Dealer. I was given the the TCM diagnosis by them when I just stopped in one day for an update because no one ever called and car never moved

Don't use this place they will keep your car and blame on a death we missed out on holiday festivities because Athey wanted to take higher paying jobs more priority than warranty work they had our car for 3 months take legal action if you do any work with them

Great and expeditited very accomidating on first trip. So far have been good about follow up. But my second dealing not as well as I waited a week and half for incorrect estimate and then dropped my vehicle only to be called Later and told i had to put down most the money on a way more expensive estimate. I chose other option. Very experienced knowledgeable and some of the only people that has done good business in last two years. NO SCAMS.......****UPDATE***06/13/23. AS OF NOW I HAVE FOUND OUT!!!! RON SUFFERS FROM ZERO CHARACTER. THAT MEANS ZERO RESPECT ZERO HONESTY ZERO PRIDE ZERO ETHIC ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE ZERO TIME PERSOECTive. Sold and installed high mileage used up transmission. That was a core off ANother upgrade.he had come prior to. I was an easy target to make a fast 2800 dollars off of. that is me my and my my 72 yr old mother who just had surgery and came home. It's our source of transportable. He knew this. There a 100 % that is 100 percent scam and Ron is not a man or a man of his word. trash don't do it!!!! scam!!!!

I have been taking my 2 cars here for several years. They care about their clients and treat you like family. Sometimes it takes a while due to many cars, but they always fix my cars and make sure i have a running vehicle. I was in a pinch with my '89 Accord. Drove to Dallas for work in January 2017 and needed the trans (5 speed) rebuilt while there. Parts are difficulty to locate and things often break when working on the old girl, but Ron promised he wouldn't charge a dime if he couldn't rebuild it after tearing it down to find what failed.After meeting him and speaking with him extensively regarding a couple other issues, I felt confident he could complete the job to my satisfaction. As promised, the repairs were completed on time and have been infallible for the first 3 months. See, my coolant fan was failing to come on, which took some extensive trouble shooting, my front rotors and wheel bearings needed to be replaced, and my transmission had to be rebuilt at 350k miles before making my return trip to Nashville, TN.I put a lot of trust in Ron and his shop. I'm glad I did and would recommend this shop to anyone needing minor repairs or transmission work. I'll probably never return to Dallas, but I left with a great experience knowing there's still honest business owners that do it right the first time.I'm still driving the old girl everyday and plan on doing so until the wheels fall off! Cheaper to drive than our 3 OR our 7 Series BMW's. Plus we've owned it since it was new.Ron Rich

Ron is always willing to help. He built my transmission and when the input shaft snapped due to a heavy right foot, 10,000 miles past warranty, he just fixed it at no charge! It took 3 days to get my truck back. Great shop and great service! Highly recommended.

My wife Stacy and I moved to Texas just over 8 years ago. Our transmission was slipping from the long trip from Michigan. Not knowing any shops we could trust we took a shot with the first place we seen. Ron has become a good friend and a trusted Mechanic that we have faithfully used since that gamble 8 years ago. He now maintains our company trucks and whoever I can send his way. Fair, honest and trustworthy. Would recommend him anyway to anyone.

I took my truck to them for a 2nd opinion when another shop told me a lot of work was needed during an oil change. They were able to look at it the next morning without an appointment, told me there was nothing wrong with my truck and saved me from getting taken advantage of for unnecessary "repairs". And they didn't charge me a dime for checking everything out. Sweetest people and I will definitely be taking all my vehicles to them in the future.

Ron always takes fantastic care of my family. When my dealership priced me thousands for an oil cooler repair, my parents told me to take it to Ron and he did the repairs for just over 300 bucks. Thank you so much for the honesty and efficiency!!!

So I want to start off by making clear that these really are polite people. But they've had my car this go round for over a month, since the last couple weeks of April, and its now the first week of June. They really didnt have anything they could tell me, and kept saying they couldnt or hadnt gotten around to my car, when it was there for so long...no explanation really on that other than saying they'd been so busy. Its being towed to another shop now to be fixed, by our choice, because, and I quote from phone call I had with one of the gentlemen this morning, "I just couldnt get to it, I really dont know whats wrong with it." If I hadnt been raised by a mechanic I'd understand a little more....but it didnt feel very much as if I was important as a customer either so probably for the best. Unfortunately the service is not near as good as it used to be here, and I had come in a couple times before. But it is what it is. Again, they're at least polite. Service: Electrical

Had my transmission rebuilt hereHad to bring it back 8 times the first year ofwarrantyStill had issues with the transmission not shifting properlyHad to take it back 3 times during the second year they said they had to replace a censorEvery thing worked food for maybe 6 monthsSame problem happened againThey kept my car 2 weeks said they replaced the censor again.The warranty ran out before I got the car back 2 weeks later same problemTransmission is still messing up still not shifting properlyGoing to have to spend more money to have it fixed properly after spending $2400.00 to have it rebuilt by this company

I have been working w/ Grease Monkey for years now - It has been an amazing experience! I can call and they know my name, always take care of my vehicles and offer very competitive pricing. What I like the most is how when I need something, I can count on Grease Monkey, no matter if it is a quick phone call or stop by to look at something small Ron and his team always make time and get us taken very fairly! It's like a small town reliable mechanic right in the metroplex!

I was taking my son to an appointment when my transmission was going out. I googled a close trans shop. The young lady answered and said I could bring it in. The owner checked out the truck. Gave a estimate. He informed me when it could be completed. I left the truck and he had it back to me when he said he could. This is a great place to get your vehicle fixed. I will be going back for mechanical work. I reccomend this place of business.

Picked up a hole in my transmission pan and burned out my transmission, the kicker is it's in a 38' motorhome. I wasn't able to find a tow company and get it up to them until Tuesday. I told them we had a trip planned on Friday, they were very fast in getting with my insurance and getting to work on my transmission, I can't thank these folks enough and would highly recommend them.

Closed twenty minutes before six. Was going to have them start work on my vehicle but they closed. So I figured I'll take it to someone that wants the work only to find that they not only left my vehicle outside, But they took my stereo out! Now they're closed until monday!!! No, I will never go back and will never recommend grease monkey.

The worst effing place ever... Put my car off for 2 months and lied the whole time. When I got my car back, the battery died shortly after. Had to buy a new one and it still didn't work.. Taking my car to a BETTER, RELIABLE shop tomorrow. The people there were very, very rude and misleading on the phone. SMH! Do Not waste your time or money here! (only giving one star because I have to)

I have been using Greasy Monkey Transmission now for over 5 years. I have had them work on my company vehicles and personal vehicles, I never had any issues. They are also very honest and fair with their pricing. I have recommended this place to many friends and every has been extremely satisfied. Any issue that may have came up, Greasy Monkey was easy to come to a resolution with. I would highly recommend Greasy Monkey Transmission in North Richland Hills, TX.

I've been through many mechanics and I've learned that you get what you pay for. I've gotten some great "deals" only to be disappointed. You only get one shot at getting the job done right - that's the idea anyway. If you're looking for peace of mind, then hire these guys.
