I limped my Jeep into MKT with a cylinder misfire, with no appointment; Matt, David and their team did their best to expedite diagnosing the Jeep, and called me with an update the next day. They got the parts in quickly, however, there was an issue with extracting the failed part. David kept me informed throughout the process. Thanks to MKT Garage and their team for hard work and putting in the extra efforts!

I took my car here after a recommendation from local auto parts stores and personal research. I came in with a noise I was hearing while driving and AC issues; AC issues were too costly to address, so I tackled the sound. They told me the sound I was hearing was from my control arms, however after the repairs the sound persisted and turns out the "forgot" to tell me the sound was actually my tires. They replaced both my control arms anyway since they claimed they were looking bad and all was fine. A month and a half later, I was in a different shop because one of my control arms was now missing a bolt holding it together and the parts in general were very loose. My car was stuck an hour away and I was trying to start a new job so it was very inconvenient. When asked if I could get some kind of refund or reimbursement for the work done from MKT, I was told to provide pictures, but what garage is going to take a picture of a missing bolt when even I can take a bolt out and take a picture. Unprofessional and not happy.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I haven't had my vehicle repaired here (yet), but did have the Opportunity to sit down talk to the owner about business. MKT Garage earns 5 stars because this shop has what you have been hoping to find: Integrity.No surprises, meaning your concern will be addressed first and foremost, and not be just one of many items that most repair facilities hit you with when presenting what they found once diagnostics/inspection have been performed. Best service ever! I was almost stranded on a Sunday when most shops are not open. They came to my rescue and I was able to get home which was several hours away. There was an after hours fee, but didn t mind because I would have had to pay more for a hotel. They did great work at a fair price and I was able to make it home.

So my wife and I are from the valley and we were on our way back home from Austin when the car overheated. So my wife calls roadside and a guy came and towed us to mkt garage. Matt really helped us by getting the car fixed the very next day since we're from out of town. He was very informative and real with us. He's a very honest man, and his workers do great work, and they fixed our problem. If it weren't for him and his garage, we'd be stuck here in New Braunfels. I highly recommend this place because they were an answer to our prayers. God bless you Matt, as well as everyone who works there! If we're ever in the area and need more work done, we will definately come straight to you. I saved the name and number in my phone. Thank you, we're very grateful.Update: We made it home safely and the car did not overheat. Problem fixed and solved. Thank you Mkt Garage!

On the way to Houston Saturday New Year's Eve, my RAM started malfunctioning. Every facility was closed but MKT called me back in minutes after leaving a message. I took it there and Matt spent close to an hour diagnosing the likely problem, explaining the issues and giving me confident advice. By huge coincidence he is extremely familiar with the engine in my RAM.Unfortunately, more diagnostics are needed before I can get on the road with confidence, and I am taking it back to him first thing Monday AM. He did not charge me today so I will be bringing him a thank you bottle for sure

My family and I were on vacation in Canyon Lake when my A/C went out (during the extreme heat wave, I might add). It was Saturday at 4 and nobody was open, could take us, or fixed A/C, but then we called MKT and they told us to bring it on in. They were accommodating, up front about pricing, compassionate about our situation (we were checking out the following Monday, so it was a fast turnaround time), and willing to work with our warranty company even though they were out of network. They had my repairs made earlier than expected and saved us tons of time and money. Definitely recommend this place!

I'm used to shops getting backed up and having a backlog of work. what i did not expect was being beat around the bush about even getting my car on a lift.I brought a 300ZX to the shop in hopes of getting the rear struts replaced, radiator neck fixed, and timing belt changed. Was told that due to it being an older car parts may be harder to find and take longer to arrive. Fine with me, I leave it at the shop.A week goes by with no word, I call and it hasn't gone up on the lift yet but its coming up. Fine with me. Another week passes with no word so I call again, to be told I'm next up as they take down a truck today, and that I should be on the lift that day.No word so I call the next day and they said I should receive a call same day with an estimate. This was on a Thursday. Monday I call back and they tell me it still hasn't gone up on the lift.Three weeks with no service or communication throughout the experience is undoubtedly the worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic.I took it to another shop, received a full quote in 4 days and was given the repairs in under 2 weeks. Unbelievable. I had gone here twice in the past with no issue but I will never come here again.

If anything ever needs to be fixed with my car I m taking it here!I know nothing about cars or warranties. I came in here with all my warning lights on in my Prius and they could have easily told me what was wrong with the car and how much (which will be easily over $1000). Instead they called Toyota for me, found out there was a recall and told me to go there and get it fixed for free. Now I m sitting at Toyota and sure enough there is a recall and they are fixing it for free.Thank you MKT Garage for being honest and helping me out today!

We were traveling through New Braunfels on Saturday evening when my Expedition suddenly started to overheat. We began to search for a mechanic on Google which seemed hopeless due to the time until we saw MKT Automotive listed 24 hr service. The owner Matt answered our call, then took time out of a family birthday celebration to line up one of his mechanics. He promptly called back (after hours call backs are from his cell, so be sure and answer all calls in this situation!) and said his mechanic would meet us at his shop, which he did as promised within 5 minutes of our arrival. Matt stopped by to check the diagnosis, bought the parts needed, left to celebrate family and then returned to check on everything just as his mechanic was finishing up the job. His mechanic, Josh, did a great job, updated me from time to time with what his progress was, fixed the problem and even took care to change his shirt before he test drove our expedition! All in all, turned a stranded on a holiday weekend situation into a nice experience and made it home 2 1/2 hours away on the same day in comfort. Really nice, professional people at this garage! I highly recommend MKT Automotive! I also learned they specialize in Jeep repairs as well!Service: Engine repair

So happy! Needed minor work done, but still thought I'd have to leave the car overnight. They called me in a couple of hours to let me know it was ready. And boy was I happy with the price! Great job!

Avoid this place at all cost! MKT Garage is beyond unprofessional. This garage was referred to me by Discount Tires, and I was planning on becoming a regular customer because I was happy with the services at Discount Tires and trusted their judgment in car garages. I made sure to call Discount Tires and tell them about my experience so they no longer give out the business cards of this garage to customers because their association with MKT is not a positive one. I just needed an oil change and what might have to be done, based on the recommended item on the maintenance book for my car. That was too complicated for them. Not sure why, but they worked hard at NOT earning my business, from barking at me when I parked (not a hello or anything besides yelling), aggressively telling me they didn t understand what I was telling them over the phone when I made my appointment the day before (I was told, "we don t understand why you are here" as a hello after I was barked at, again, to come into the shop THAT WAY! ), saying well, S***, you ve actually done all the maintenance checks on the book of your car , and it ended with, if you just want an oil change, they are not cheap here. It s gonna be at least $100 . At that point, I figured why give my business to a place like this and simply left. I didn t engage with their disrespect, but I m not sure why a business would make these choices at a day and age when most places rely on reviews, but then again they sure didn t seem interested in having me as a customer. You would think that someone who comes as a new customer interested in maintaining their car with your garage might be of interest (it IS what MKT is here to do, no?), especially when you see that that person does maintain their car (light bulb: this customer will actually come back and maintain it with my garage?!), but that reasoning seemed too complicated for these folks. Unless your car will not make it down the road to the next car garage, do not stop there, run in the other direction. I would give zero stars if I could.

I had a great experience with this shop. Not only was the quote they gave me the most competitive, the turnaround was quick, and on time.Having a Volvo there are a lot of shops that refuse to touch my car due to "special tools" or "just not wanting to get into it".... not this place. I stopped in for information, got my quote the next day, scheduling my drop off, and got it back quickly.I enjoy working on my car but this repair was a bit outside my wheelhouse. I'm very happy and confident in knowing if there is anything I don't feel comfortable with this shop can handle it.

Matt at MKT was beyond helpful. He went out of his way on a Sunday to get my truck up and running after I couldn t get it to start and had to have it towed to the shop. I was able to make it to work Monday. Along with that, the price was fair and they were very accommodating while I had to wait. Thanks Matt and the MKT team!

I was purchasing a used vehicle and needed a mechanic to look it over before we made the decision to purchase. So happy we found this local business. Mike knows his cars. So knowledgeable and gave us a very detailed report. Explained what he found and answered all my questions. I highly recommend MKT Garage they are honest and gave me great service.

The business deserves a zero. I went there days after the 10.13.21 flood disaster in New Braunfels. My car obsorbed water moister into the exhaust . The owner said "sure come on over and I'll check it out for you". I had already diagnosed the car and there was no over heating, no white smoke, no knocking and it runs smooth. All I asked was for an oil change. He opened the oil cap and said it caught moister and took off the air filter then handed me a $550 estimate to change oil and replace air filter. When I told him I didn't expect the cost to be so high and that I was taking my car. He became angry and said I owed him $130 for diagnosing it. I told him he didn't tell me about that prior to bringing my car and that I didn't have it. He told me "your insurance will pay for it!" and that I should have known that because no one would check my car for free. He with held my car from me and demanded $130. I had 200 to change my oil and he took 130 of it for taking off the filter and opening the oil cap. As I left the business, he held the door open and accused me of wanting something for free and that he only liked paying customers.

Matt and his crew is top notch. He will always shoot straight no matter if you like it or not. He takes care of my fleet of trucks for my business and has alway taken care of us on any warranty issues. This is my go to guy for any repairs and I couldn t recommend anyone more here in New Braunfels.

We were in New Braunfels on vacation with air conditioning issues, and they were amazing. Dropped the car off when they opened up and they were finished in 3 hours.They also took it upon their self to air up the tires and perform all checks.I highly recommend this place, and they will answer their phone regardless of what time it is.

I have taken my cars for repairs here several times over the last couple years and they have always done a good job at a reasonable price. Whenever I have had concerns (which can happen anywhere), they have listened and and addressed them fairly (I would even say generously). This is the BEST auto shop I ve ever been to!! The guys were awesome. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They explained in detail what was going on with my car and gave very fair pricing. They started on my car right away and completed the job so quickly! Very refreshing given that most auto places try to take advantage of those who don t know much about cars. I highly recommend this shop!!

These guys are top notch! Got my daughters car in and turned it in one day! Even had their techs stay late so a first year school teacher could get to work the next day! Excellent and friendly service! They came highly recommended and now I will gladly recommend them too! Thanks Matt and Kelso!

This shop was a life-saver! Had a brake caliper give out yesterday afternoon and it went full meltdown-mode. I was 5min from MKT, called them up and they said they would make room for me. They worked hard to get parts delivered (needed pads, rotor, caliper, line and wheel re-packed with grease) plus they had two mechanics work on it so I could get back on the road same day! Can't say thank you enough to Matt, Eric, Sue, and the other mechanic - I never got his name *my bad*.100 out of 10 recommend this shop!Service: Brakes

About 3 weeks before I was supposed to drive back home to Seattle from New Braunfels (2200 miles), a bunch of warning lights fired off on the dashboard of my Subaru. Never had any trouble before, so it's ironic that it would happen right before such a long drive. Anyway, I took my car to a different garage in NB (rhymes with Tanks Automotive) and they quoted me full replacement of the throttle body along with several other services equalling $2k to $3k. I had a hard time accepting it, so decided to get a second opinion (always a good idea). Called up Matt at MKT Garage, and he said to bring it by in the morning. They ran their diagnostic and suggested simply cleaning the throttle body for about $160. This seemed to do the trick. About a week later the lights came back on, so I took it back to Matt and Kelso at MKT Garage, and they ran another diagnostic and did some reprogramming of the ABS/traction control systems and that also seemed to do the trick. I made it all the way back to Seattle with zero car trouble or warning lights. Really thankful and happy I found MKT Garage, they saved me a ton of money and provided a great service to my car.-MicahServices: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic
