Clark's Automotive is the best place to go if you are in need of car repairs! I've used them for years, and they never steer me wrong! You can trust this shop to take care of you without charging you an exorbitant amount.....or taking advantage of you! When I need help with my car, I don't even consider going anywhere else! Clark's is the best!

My 2014 VW Beetle has been running rough for quite some time and the issue was starting to get a lot worse. Took it to Clark's and they diagnosed the PCV valve unit and a hose (apparently common with this vehicle - I had already self-diagnosed from YouTube, so not a surprise). They had it fixed in just 2 days - sooner than initially estimated. They also fixed the wiper spigots that have been broken for a long time! Very friendly, professional, knowledgeable. I will only ever take my vehicles here. Thank you, Clark's!! So happy to have found an auto service I trust here in New Braunfels.

We have taken both of our cars to Clark s for maintenance since we moved here over 3 years ago. Both Chris and Kenny give clear explanations of what was needed and we never felt taken advantage of. Once, my car needed some transmission work, and Kenny gave a great recommendation since transmissions was not their specialty. They also get the work done in a timely manner so we aren t without our car for too long.

Discovered red light engine indicator issue was not an engine issue but rather an outdated system s computer program at needed an update. Fuel was running lean and upgrade solved the issue. No engine problem. Lucky for me I had access to Clarks Automotive.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenanceServices: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

From day one I have had the BEST experience with Clark's . I had an older car in need of lots of repairs. They helped me prioritize the most necessary repairs first and worked with me over time until all the repairs were done. As a single mom businesses like this have been invaluable to me. They are family owned, have a knowledgeable skilled staff, they never try to sell you things you don't need and ALWAYS go above and beyond. If you need a trustworthy qualified mechanic, I can't think of a more deserving local business to support.

Problem with my car not starting from time to time. Clark's kept a few days to replicate the error without any luck, however cleaned the battery terminals tightened the connections and the car seems to be working well. They only charged me a minimal amount which is highly appreciated.

Even though he couldn t fix our issue-it was a dealership issue, he was honest and forthright about what the problem was.

Theses people couldn't/wouldn't connect to my OBD port on my car to do a accurate diagnosis. They said that there was something plugged in to the port when there wasn't. I gave them permission to remove whatever was plugged in they said they couldn't. They still charged me $135.00 to diagnosis something they said they couldn't plug in to. Lastly the car was the dirtier than it's ever been. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone.

Highly recommend this place! I was so nervous about taking my car into a new place after just moving in here from out of town, and it's so hard to find an honest shop these day's! They helped me every step of the way and had me back on the road within a week even though they are super busy! Kenny was awesome! And made me feel at ease.

These people are good but more importantly they are honest. They will go to great lengths to make sure that they are only replacing what's necessary. I understand, before my Coleman engineering career, I owned an automotive shop in San Marcos.

My son went in for some A/C work on his car. Price quoted was avg. but the work was done fast, which is good. But here is where they really show what a quality business they are. Next day A/C was not working, took it in and they had missed something, but they fixed it on their dime(s) (quite a few actually). As a small business owner that has made things right for my customers before, I know how it feels. This is great service and integrity. They will see business from my family again. THANKS!

I had a maintenance issue with my 04 Element and took it to Clark's after reading some positive reviews. They were very courteous and professional and were able to get me in very quickly and even though they spent time and effort to diagnose the problem, they could not duplicate the issue and in the end did not charge me a dime. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a honest and professional auto shop.

So grateful to Clark's! Saved us another trip back to DPS by quickly fixing a brake light. It must happen all the time judging from other reviews, but they really dropped everything to gladly helps us out. Very nice!

I was referred to Clark's Auto Service by several happy customers. I was looking for a reasonably priced mechanic after having a bad experience elsewhere. They have exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Clark's.

We had to get a brake light repaired and on super short notice to make it back to the DPS for a driver's test. Chuck kindly fit us in as soon as we pulled up and replaced the light bulb for us right away. I was quoted $4-5 bit it turned out to be. $3 part so that's all he charged us. Incredible, honest, speedy, gracious service!

Great place and friendly service! My oil light needed to be reset and they did it for free and checked the rest of the car for any other issues. One was found and fixed within an hour and a half

This place is the most honest auto repair shop around. My wife and I have two vehicle's and we would not trust the vehicle's with anyone else. I read the negative review on here and can say that when there are only two guys working on as many cars as they work on it might take longer but it has never been a problem. I would rather have two experienced mechanics that care about the work they do than have a auto shop with a lot of guys that don't care about the quality of their work. No one would tell a customer they should throw any piece of jewelry in the river that is unbelievable and shows the character of a impatient individual who tried to bad mouth a auto shop with a great reputation.

Quick. Friendly. Fair prices. Honest. Clark s handles repairs, maintenance issues, pre-purchase inspections and requests for advice with equal courtesy and professionalism. Our kids have followed our tire tracks and are also Clark s customers.

I had just moved to the NB area, and my VW Tiguan had the Engine Light on. I decided to go to Clark's based on the reviews, and I'm glad I went there. The issue was thought initially to be a sensor, but after they were about to replace it, they found that it was actually the Turbo itself. They did communicate their steps all along the way. Rather than trying to make the sale, they advised me to take it back to the dealership (the vehicle was still under warranty), and have them replace it for free.Once I took it to the dealership, the diagnosis was confirmed, and at the end of the day, I just paid Clark's for the initial diagnostic, and the Tiguan has a new Turbo under warranty (from the dealer). This level of honesty will take them a long way, and I'm definitely coming back if any of my vehicles have issues.

Took my 06 Subaru in to have them change out my head gasket. While it was there they found some more issues with it. They told me that since they were already tearing it apart they would not charge me labor to install the other parts. They got everything working in the quoted amount of time. Car is driving great! Will take my other cars here when we need work done. Thanks!

Took them just a few hours to diagnose and fix an issue that Bluebonnet had failed to find on 4 occasions. Very pleased with their work and professionalism. Would recommend to anyone looking for repairs.

Excellent locally owned business! I had previously had a Prius in for a minor repair, and to check out the place last year. I was impressed then with the professionalism of Chuck & Chris, and the appearance of the busy shop. Nondescript exterior, but clearly clean, modern & well organized bays, tools and diagnostic equipment, and tidy office area. This time I asked the guys to do a list of age-related maintenance & repairs on my 14 year old LX 470 (Lexus-badged Land Cruiser). Specifically, timing belt, front & rear main crankshaft seals, plus a catalytic converter, and AWD selector linkage. These were high mileage repairs that need to be done precisely in order and with the correct OEM parts to integrate with the Lexus ECM computers. Done properly, the vehicle will go another 100K to 150K mikes or more until the next major update.Chuck inspected the truck carefully nose to tail and confirmed what I believed was needed, plus found an additional leak I (and a Lexus dealer) had not noticed. He also caught and suggested two small maintenance items that were in the R&R work flow of the major repairs.Net:Truck was repaired perfectly with OEM parts. No drama, and no hassle. They even managed to find an OEM part from a source that saved me $1200 on the bill. These total repairs if done at a Lexus dealer would have been 2-3X the price. Great job!

Brought my rental car in as I had run over some shredded tire on the interstate and the clips for the shielding underneath my car became were ripped off. The guys there were extremely nice, helped me out quickly, and got me on my way. Very very appreciative!
