Many changes to camping world over the last couple years. No more guns in the store. And the recreational vehicle prices at camping world are higher than most other dealers around. Always a nice selection, but priced too high. i d like to see a return to the camping world of yours back, patriotic, flying the big flag, and competitively priced. And not worrying what they sell in their store.

Purchased our travel trailer here. Naggie, the salesperson, was very helpful. Had a couple off issues, but they were taken care of. Highly recommend this place.

Visited on a Monday afternoon and they were busy. We walked around the trailers. A young salesperson, Forrest, showed up, introduced himself and gave us the grand tour. He asked the right questions and gave honest answers.

Honestly, I was blown away with the high level of service provided by Jonathan Koskela. I've been shopping around, and his ability to help my family the perfect RV was incredible. He actually took the time and really narrowed down to what fit our needs. Hands down If you are in the market for a new RV or used, he definitely is the guy to see!!

Great selection of inventory that meets all needs. Todd the salesperson who assisted me with my first travel trailer purchase was very helpful and communicative as well as the entire staff. He went out of his way to make it happen!

I enjoyed viewing all the camping trailers rvs etc they had on the lot. I was only there because my father was the one interested in buying one for himself. So we were looking at all the features they had and gave him an idea of the features he'd like to have in a camping trailer. The only reason i gave it a 2 star is because my father was the one who inquired about the trailers . When trying to show the inventory that is a walking distance to an older man with a cane, itd be polite and part of customer service to offer a ride in the go carts they had. My husband and i saw so many other salesman driving other customers around showcasing their inventory. Felt a little discriminated. Hopefully they'll offer it next time, if my father decides to buy a trailer from Camping World.

My refrigerator stopped working. I called camping world and they sent a mobile technician out to look at it and missed diagnos the problem on October's 30th and missed diagnosed the problem totally the technician fault and my extended warranty refused to pay because the technician said in his report to the insurance company something was bend in the freezer, which nothing was bent . After all of that Finally the insurance company sent one of their people out and checked it out and told us that the refrigerator was not getting power it was faulty NO OUR FAULT and it was replace. The part that really bothers me is we were without a refrigerator for 10 weeks and camping world messed up. We talked the the service manager Cody and told him that we had to go out to eat allot because we had no refrigerator and and the cost for us was really expensive. They never offered to compensate us in any way. Very disappointed

The Good, The Bad, and The UglyThe Good, we walked in no appointment on a Saturday, and the front reception asked if we had an appointment. We didn't, but Ricky, the salesperson, was there with a smile and said, "No worries, I can assist." Which he did. He asked us a few questions( needs and ability to tow). After that we walked several rvs which he was very knowledgeable about. We made our decision on what we thought would suit our family best. The Bad, so after more qualifying questions, we ended up pulling our credit (710), and we were told that with that score, we could pretty much name our payment price. With excitement and realistic thoughts, we said about $350 max $400 would work and a pretty sizeable down-payment. Ricky went back and forth with the sales manager, trying to get our needs and requests to be made. After some time, the sales manager came out and informed us that after some tweaking, he might be able to make those numbers work, but it still would be closer to the $400 mark. We said well that's fine. The Ugly, once in the finance room, the gentleman informed us that the unit we wanted was actually being worked to be sold the same as what we were working on. He asked if there was another unit we might be interested in? Mind you, we asked about the unit to make sure we would be the only ones who are buying it. We were informed that yes, if it was sold or if a down-payment was put on it, we would have pulled it off the sales lot. So moving forward, the finance manager then informs us that there is another unit in a different state, but we would be charged a fee to bring it here since we requested it. We said no, we aren't the ones who said the unit was still for sale and as well the sales manager should have informed us that the unit was sold prior to pulling our credit. So that's on yall. If you wanna make the sale, then you need to bring the rv to this site, and we aren't paying for it. We ended up having to leave because that was the most we could do that day. After many back and fourth emails of detailed information from the finance manager, he finally informed us that they would pull the camper from wherever it was. Now remember, our payment was close to $400. Well, we were informed that every thousand dollars we put down is roughly $15 off the monthly payment. Well, I wonder why it would have jumped up to $480 all of a sudden. Maybe because they, in fact, are trying to charge us the transfer fee after their mess up.The Really Ugly, well yes I understand that we shouldn't be buying something if we can't afford it but at the same time we budgeted for $350 to $400 max, mind you that we needed to put insurance on it. Which cost double if you go through the one they give you at the store, go through your private insurance, it was more coverage, and was half the price. After discussing it amongst ourselves, we decided it just wasn't in our budget to have the monthly payment and insurance be closer to $600, which we know is unrealistic in our budget. The main reason we went is due to the many commercials we saw that falsely advertised payments as low as $180 which we were informed by the sales manager "that is wrongly portrayed since that's a 180 month loan and no loan company will finance an rv for that many months." So makes you wonder why would you show it so much?

Sales department experience was fine, service department experience was TERRIBLE. We purchased our RV only a few months ago, that experience was pleasant enough. However, we were told that a missing switch would be replaced before we drove it off the lot. When we arrived to pick up our camper, it was not addressed. They quickly replaced with a rigged up, non-matching switch but it worked. They said they would call when the actual part arrived, we could bring it back and they would correct it. We never got that call. Our camper wasn't washed before we took it home, which was slightly disappointing. Weather stripping also blew off both sides as soon as we left the lot, we were told they would fix that as well. Never happened, never addressed. Fast forward 2 months later and our RV sprung a leak under the shower, we didn t purchase the warranty so we knew this would be an out-of-pocket repair, fair enough. We called the service department to set up an appointment and were only given limited drop off options, none of which worked with a regular working schedule. No chance for a weekend drop off either. We decided to make it work, drop off an hour and half from our home with them because we purchased from them and supposedly received a 5% discount on services. After several conversations about scheduling the appointment, my husband had to take a half day off work to drop off at 3 pm on a Monday. We were told we HAD to schedule with one specific person and her availability was limited, she HAD to be available to drop off. Now, on Monday, at drop off, she isn t present, we never spoke to her, she never communicated with us either. SO WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THAT LIMITED AVAILABILITY? At drop off we requested they address the shower leak and the missing weather stripping, all at our cost. After we left our camper we got no updates, no communication, nothing. We had to call them to check up on progress the following week, we were told Oh they are going to look at it today. . No update. Called back the following day to state we were picking it up on Thursday evening, we expect it to be ready, they agreed. (They had it for nearly 2 weeks, without providing updates.) Picked up the RV, paid and no one gave us any details of the work or walked us through, we received no discount. They sent us around back to hook up, our camper wasn t sitting on blocks or a riser so we couldn t connect it to the truck. We had to go back in, through the rain, to ask someone to come out and lift it up so we could connect. No apology, no explanation. Whatever. Once we arrived home we realized they had only addressed one side of the weather strip, which was clearly missing on both. Whatever. We took it camping the next day to learn our grey water tank was completely full, they had filled it and didn t bother to drain it or tell us. We hauled it over 3 hours, full. I called on Monday to discuss these issues and the team was uninterested in my feedback, did not offer any resolution or empathy. It was an awful experience; we will never be back. Very disappointed in this service as the bar is really, not that high.

If I could give a zero rating I would. Wish I would have read Camping World's horrible reviews before taking our rv there. Just thought Marcus Lemonis would have a reputable business. Guess not. Absolute con artists. Took $3600 of our money and literally did nothing. They were supposed to fix one of our slides. Not only did they not fix it, they broke our water filter off. We also noticed our shower head was broken after we got it back. We paid them to break our rv. It makes us sick to our stomachs. We aren't rich. We don't have that kind of money to throw away. We are now still trying to find someone to fix our slide since camping world took our money and fixed nothing. They suck.

To say that this location s service department is an absolute mess is an understatement. I feel for the poor service advisors that have to talk to the clients when the technicians, support staff for parts, management and flow structure is a complete catastrophe. Save your adrenal glands. Go anywhere else. No matter how much they mess up, they just cannot make anything right. Over. And. Over. Again.Updated: when we picked up our coach, they lied to us stating they had applied a UV coating on the roof (this was the second attempt at this UV coating that they failed to apply). I only found out because I climbed up on the roof myself. Then, when we asked the technician, Don, about it and other related shortcomings to both this and our previous service experience, his reply was, I m not gonna lie, sometimes I cut corners. So, to recap, Don cut corners on our $3800 roof scrape and seal back in July, and then failed to correct this issue when we had to bring it back (again) to correct what they didn t do right the first time. He said he didn t have time for the redo work when the coach was there for 3 days for a 1 day job.Lastly, the service manager JT (I believe I am correct on his name) truly could not care less. He never offered an apology or showed any emotion for the poor service and performance of his team. Just an unfortunate mess. I could go on and on with details like they dinged our back bumper on the lot, ordered the wrong part 2 times, charged us for evaluations $199/item claiming nothing was wrong when there were issues. Just awful.

I would give them a minus 5 stars if I could! My husband and I purchased an RV in October 2023. My husband and I saved up money (both working 2 jobs each) for a couple of years to buy one, wanting to retire and travel. We purchased the RV from Camping World, picked it up on Oct 5, and went on an 11 day trip. While on our trip, we noticed a few things wrong, so when we came back, we took it to Camping World on Oct 16. Since Oct 16th, our RV has been sitting at Camping World for 96 of the 101 past days. During the week that we had it, the batteries died and it broke down again. They have changed the battery twice and it is still not working! INSANE!!!IMAGINE BUYING SOMETHING THAT YOU CANT EVEN DRIVE BECAUSE THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE BATTERY! AND THEY ACT LIKE IF IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT, THAT WE BOUGHT AN "AS IS" RV!!! COMPLETELY UNETHICAL!!Since we have only got to enjoy it for a week and a half of the 4 months that we've owned it, my husband asked them about a buy back, because we are so soured by this experience, that we want to be done with it and move on. They offered us 1/3 of the purchase price. They have said to just let them fix it, but its costing us more in repairs than its worth - they sent my husband an estimate of $8000. Imagine, 8 grand to fix something that has been sitting on their lot for 87% of the time we have "owned" it. My husband has messaged their board of directors but not one cares enough to follow up with my husband. So, they sold us a lemon, that we cant use, and to make it "right", they offer my husband something ridiculous, while still charging us and arm and a leg to fix it. If anyone reads this, please, do yourself a favor and buy somewhere else. They dont stand behind the things they sell. Once you buy, they just don't care about you!

Ricky took the time to show me multiple options for price and wants! Great experience, and I will go back for a purchase! Ricky showed me the exact package I wanted. Just need to pay off a previous loan, so the camper trailer is the only load I have.

Sales Staff is pretty great. The financing and insurance folks are awesome. Not having the best experience with the service folks though. They're not upfront with the service repair process. I had to make sure to ask the right questions to get the answers I needed for information. They were not forthcoming.

Richard was a great salesman that answered all our questions and really made us comfortable when we were looking around yesterday for our camping needs and it was our first time there.Update:2023Had to bring in my camper and after a year and some months Richard remembered me! Made me feel like an old friend happy to see me. He s an amazing good person. Again, assisted me with my reason for bringing in my camper and service department attended me very kindly and helped me right away. Highly recommend Richard as the Go To Salesperson for a camper, or any camping gear or just to look around and show you what s available. Richard is not pushy to sell you but to help you fit what camper best suits you and your pocket . From a scale from 1 to 10 and 1 being the lowest rank and 10 being the best rank . I d give him a 10 +(plus)! As you can see , went to the beach that same day we picked up the camper . !

BUYERS BEWARE...BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE....One week after having my RV my slide leaked, tech comes out does nothing and says the leveling off by 1%. Slide leaks again second tech comes out and see that the window seal is bad nothing gets done. The seal is so bad he could put a knife through it. Then my front slide leaks now. Then the next week my whole underbelly gives and water comes out everywhere. 2 techs come out and figure out the kitchen sink has a leak. An they said they fixed the seals on the front slide and order a new window for the other slide. So I ask what do I do if it rains go buy tarps is what I was told...Wow....Now the bathroom sink is leaking. I have called their corporate office because the GM Rico would not call me back. Then as I go in today to let them know about another leaks and have requested for them to buy back the problem they sold me. I found out Jordan in there corporate office has been lieing to me too as well. Save yourself and wallet and buy somewhere else.

It hurts me to write other than 5 stars for this outstand chain. We travel a lot by RV and have visited stores coast to coast. This is by no means as a reflection on the entire store or all the employees.I will not even mention names but hopefully when someone like me who has written dozens of reviews on CW even wrote to the CEO people might understand they dropped the ball.We were staying at Canopy RV park in New Braunfels TX and had a minor issue with our RV. The park manager actually had a board saying they allow Camping World on the grounds to do certain repairs. For RV'ers this is not always the case and some frown on any repairs. He explained CW had a mobile service and gave me the number of the local store. The number connects to the store and you must ask for mobile service. I left messages 3 days in a row not getting a call back. I even told the operator I tried unsuccessfully to get a call back and asked if there was a direct # but was told no.While my issue was I felt minor I was traveling from east Tx back to San Diego and mentioned that in all calls. After the third day with no return call I mentioned this to several fellow travelers at the park. Both said get the part and we we put it in. We also had a plan to leave in a few days.I went to the CW store and got the part but felt 3 days without even a call back I should tell the manager, which I did.He really seemed to care and introduced me to the mobile tech whose name was the same as I called 3 days in a row.He (the tech) said he has be pretty busy. I said (privately) a 2 minute call back would have had me consider other options and not waiting for a basic callback. I told him we would try to make the repair. He said if you can't give us a call and I will "try" to get you an appointment.Like I say I speak very highly of CW and was a great customer of the San Marcos CA store before it closed. We even bought an RV from another location but this was not their usual way to conduct business and I hope this is not an on going problem.People need to depend on CW. When you have rigs that cost $400-500 K you would expect a little more consideration

Forrest has been really great to work with. He answers all questions and concerns I have. As a new RV owner I am learning every detail there is to know and when I need help with some research Forrest takes time out of his day to help also. There were some minor conflicts with some sections with camping world and I was able to reach out to him to help resolve issues. He responds quickly and even if it is his day off he still available to address concerns. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to purchase at camping world. Thank you for all your hard work Forrest! May the Lord continue to bless you and all those around you. Peace be with you.

Perhaps the focus should be on customer service FIRST, sales last. I ALWAYS base my buying decisions on customer service, get it right and your sales will increase. Yes I know what I'm talking about. The employees outnumbered the shoppers 3 to 1

My wife and I walked into Camping World today with a ton of questions and left feeling a lot better about purchasing our first travel trailer soon. All of the staff were very helpful, specifically Forrest, who answered all of our many questions, but more importantly, made sure we were asking the right ones. We are both feeling more confident in our knowledge and now know more specifically what trailer is going to suit our needs. Camping World has definitely earned our business in the near future.

I have been trying to get an appointment since June for service with a Good Sam s service agreement. No one from the New Braunfels service has called me yet. The call was escalated 3 times today and still no contact. I paid over $3,500. For this service agreement. Don t buy a service agreement. They are worthless unless someone will do the work. Obviously Camping World doesn t want our business.

Very impressed with the professionalism and quality of the team that took care of me. Especially Nicole Brummett, who went above and beyond addressing my concerns and ensuring the safety of my 5th wheel and timeliness of the team addressing my needs. It is individuals like this that make a difference every day for Camping World by ensuring the satisfaction and safety of the customer. I purchased a 5th wheel in New Braunfels, TX from Denver CO and drove down to pick it up. Lowell Unruh, my salesperson did a great job ensuring everything was ready for me when I arrived and answered my questions in a timely fashion. Due to my timeline this was critical. Roz Latta ensured everything was inline days before my trip to pick up the 5th wheel. Marcus Romon did my walk through. He was also top notch, explaining everything in detail and addressing all of my concerns. I wish this shop was closer to me as I am very impressed with the team and their attention to detail. Makes me want to at least try the Camping World in Denver. I have only been to the retail store which I liked. Thank you all very much! Really appreciate the service and hospitality!

Staff were helpful, but I was disappointed with the contents. I have never been in one before but had read so many good comments saying you can get everything you need, that I think I expected more.
