Nadia gives very good customer service. She kept me up on the status and progress of my car. Staff was knowlable and extensive repair of the front end of my Ford edge was taken care of in a reasonable time.

Wow! That s my overall impression. I made my way into this mechanical shop as I needed brake pads and rotors for my Toyota Tundra. I m greeted in the front office by a wonderful lady named Nadia. She was courteous, friendly, and attentive. She followed up with me and kept me in the loop all the way from drop off, to the repair estimate to completion. The quality of work performed on my truck was also superb . The prices are very reasonable, specially if you pay cash .I can t think of a time where I ve been anywhere to get my truck repaired and I received this type of superior service. I highly recommend this shop in Mesquite!

Nadia did a fantastic job giving me a description of the service and how their shop could provide me service. Initially I was going to go with a shop a little closer by my home, but chose H and J to do my brakes and rotors repair due to how quickly they could assist me and their hourly rate was better than the other shop. Thank you H and J for the help today!

Brought my car in for a noise, it was running and working amazingly. They did 1500$ worth of work and when I left I almost crashed several time because my steering wheel was locking and in horrible condition, now I am picking my car up with a lot of damages that weren t there before. Do not come here!

I have an 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue took my car in there Monday it was ready Monday afternoon but didn't pick it up till Tuesday morning they do great work and their friendly and their kind and all that good stuff but the one thing that really makes me mad is they got in my car and all over the headliner and the sun visor they've got oil black oil on the passenger side and the driver side I gave them a three but they deserve a five but if they hadn't got all the oil all over my headliner and my sun visors they would have got a fiveIt will never happen again because when I pointed it out to you you said where was nothing you could do about! That's poor business! We. Always took our cars in to you guys for many years . To get it taken care of I had to buy another headliner which cost $350 thank you and you didn't even offer to pay that that was wrong bad business on your behalf you don't get no more of our business now I know you're not missing nothing but you've lost a good customer that bragged about y'all but not anymore

I took my 2018 Explorer in due to the water pump. I told them while I was there to let me know how much more for the coils and 02 sensors and do the state inspection. When I got there to pick it up, the price was not terrible but not good, I had them only change the water pump because of the outrageous price on the coils, never got a quote on o2 sensors, and never got the inspection. Even though they did not do the inspection they almost charged me for it until I asked. then when it was time to check out, they charged me $80.00 to use my car. I guess the $1800 wasn't enough. You can use this place if you want, but as for me I will stay away.

Guy who did alignment did not want to do the job because it was late in the day, told me he wanted to do alignment after new tires but I did not want a bad alignment on brand new tires. After job was done told me he could not get it all the way aligned due to bad tires, and said it will be more money than quoted. Was told 89.95 before job then told 125 after job I paid it. I decided to give them one more shot due to convince of location now they say ball joint is to worn and that the alignment would not work, then told me that's probably why they could not get aligned the first time. I went to this shop to get inner and outer tie rods replaced and they did a great job plus the alignment. Nadia was such great help with informing me about what was going to be done and pricing. I was quoted a price and when going to pay it came out to be cheaper than what was quoted. Name another mechanic shop that does that!!! Great Alignment shop. Excellent Staff! Fit me in at the last minute at closing time. Give me really good tips on how to permanently solve my alignment issue on my older truck.Will definitely be back!

Recommended by a friend from work - AMAZING service. I could not recommend this shop more highly; they fixed my brakes with no appointment and within two hours of closing because it would not have been safe for me to drive home. I paid half of what other shops had estimated, and no one tried to force me to purchase anything I didn't need. I returned last week and received help immediately. Thanks Matthew for fixing my brakes on 72 monte carlo. Nobody could fix my braking issue. The whole car would swerve to the right and lock up when braking. Matthew fixed it. Adjusted rear drum brakes, new caliper and hose, bleed, adjusted wheel bearing and its back 100%. Thanks man. He is a good honest mechanic. Labor rate a bit high but worth every bit.

What an excellent experience from the start. Receptionist Nadia was extremely helpful and informative. She helped arrange a perfect time for me to drop my car off and it wasn't much later she was already calling saying it was ready. I am extremely satisfied with the work that was done on my vehicle. Thanks technician Ron. My front end hasn't felt this good in a while. I highly recommend this establishment.

I had noticed my vehicle was shaky, and after replacing tires and wheels it was still shaking! At this point I knew the alignment was off, so about 3 months ago I decided to take my vehicle to H&J Alignments and Brakes for a full alignment. The price they had quoted and charged me was pretty cheap, about half the price of a regular full 4 wheel alignment, but I did not think much of it. After the alignment was complete I picked up my vehicle, ready to drive it as if it were brand new. But once I started driving, I had noticed that the shake was still there! Shaking in the same direction from the rear to the front! I immediately called the shop and asked if they did a full 4 wheel alignment. To which they confirmed that they had indeed done a full 4 wheel alignment.I was so puzzled by the situation wondering what could have caused my vehicle to shake like it was doing. I was wondering if I needed to check my suspension or even replace my wheels again! After pondering on the situation for a week I had decided to take my car to NTB and pay a pretty penny for them to fully look over my vehicle. What they found came as a full surprise to me!NTB had completed a full 28-Point Vehicle Check which based on their website checks the vehicles: Comprehensive status of tires, fluid levels, brakes, battery, hoses, belts, wipers, and suspension and steering. The appointment for just checking the vehicle took no longer than two hours, but when they called me back to inform me what only problem they found about the vehicle truly made me distrust H&J Alignments and Brakes.The representative had told me that my vehicle s Jam nuts on the tie rods were not tightened, almost as if they were loosen and screwed back by hand. when I had asked the representative on why the jam nuts might have not been tightened, they had responded questioning if I had received an alignment recently or if I attempted to complete an alignment myself, because the jam nuts are usually used to perform alignments. I would like to make it known that I have never touched anything on my vehicle that deals with its suspension, only because of the risk of damaging the handling of my vehicle. Therefore the only way my jam rods would have been that loose would have been if someone touched my vehicle s suspension prior to NTB. The only place that had touched my suspension would have been H&J Alignments and Brakes whenever they performed the Full 4 wheel alignment.I was furious, I had entrusted H&J to have been trustworthy and honest with their clients, only to have found out by a true trustworthy location that their work is unreliable! I m annoyed that they lied about performing the full 4 wheel alignment, or even the work performed on my vehicle as far as not tightening the jam nuts on my tie rods!After retrieving my vehicle back from NTB s services, I had noticed that the shake my vehicle had was no longer there.Now, I can sit here and say that H&J Alignments and Brakes did me wrong, but their H&J Tire Co is the complete opposite! H&J Tire has been trustworthy towards me in selling me the correct tires for the best price and providing me with outstanding customer service! Please do not confuse the two places, H&J Tire does an outstanding job for me! Never the less, H&J Alignments and Brakes has disappointed me, I will never recommend this place to any peers or family!The image I am providing shows my car s alignment prior to the services at NTB, but after the services of H&J Alignments and Brakes. As you can see, it seems as if an alignment was not even complete.Service: Wheel alignment

I cannot say enough GOOD things about H&J! We were in the Dallas area from out of town towing our RV, when we had the hub on one of our axles have major failure. We could not make it a quarter-mile, much less home with it. After several hours of trying to find someone in the Dallas area willing to help us on a Saturday, and most places said they could not help us at all, we found H&J. They were immediately willing to help any way they could. They graciously allowed us to take up most of their parking lot and leave it. Once we were able to make it back to Mesquite a week later to pick it up, he spent extra time showing us the repairs, then spent more time educating me on a few things and how to make adjustments. The sweet lady at the front desk spent time talking with my wife about family, etc..., and they finally told us a good local place to grab lunch before going home. Then to top it off, they stopped traffic at a busy intersections so we could pull our RV into traffic from an awkward spot. The axle repairs are still holding up well after 3 months. Thank you H&J for turning a miserable situation around for us!

Helped me out in a pinch, charged a little too much to put a bulb in but I needed it for inspection, the other shop wanted me to leave it over night for half the cost but I didn't want to be without my truck. Welcoming professionals got the job done, in and out in no time at all. Worth the extra cost!

Worst issues with rotary on my vehicle the manager is very rude and took my car back several times . even after days of repairs and overcharging

I came to this place twice for an alignment. The first time they couldn't do it was because they were "to busy", so I would have had to do it another day. That was slightly understandable, even though it was early in the morning and a few cars were there. The second time, a nice lady comes up and tells me that they can't align my car because they don't have the specs for it, so "before" they could, but now they can't. Hmmmm.

I've never had an issue here until recently. I was told they could work on my breaks, they were even told that it was a Volkswagen. I get there and wait around for 20-30 minutes before I'm told they can't do it. Had to take it a shop I'm unfamiliar with and now I can just hope Oswalts can help.

I stopped in on my way home, had some front end issues. They jumped right on it handle it in a timely manner at a fair price. I would definitely go there again.
