I had a good experience at this firestone in McAllen. I arrived here in a weekday without an appointment, and although I had to wait a bit, my car was checked and I was given a diagnosis. The staff is friendly, a young man there was very nice and knowledgeable.

I have been coming to this Firestone for the past 2 years. Customer service is top tier... I have not had a bad experience, they provide exceptional quality service. Waiting time is reasonable to service needed. Every technician is knowledgeable and takes the time to explain what is needed and recommended. Coffee bar and snack bar is always stocked while you wait. Rick and Kevin's Customer service keeps me coming back... 5 stars

Maria Torres took the time to review service recommendations from another service shop then conducted a complete vehicle inspection. She was able to explain the services that I actually needed which resulted in me saving time and money. I ve learned to never take my vehicle anywhere else ever again. I am grateful for her care, thoroughness, and attention to detail. She truly prioritizes customer service. Maria is a true asset to this organization.

I took my vehicle this past weekend for an inspection without having had scheduled an appointment. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and my vehicle was inspected with very little wait time. This location is always my go to for my vehicles they have employees with great customer service.

I brought my vehicle in at 9:00 A.M. on a Saturday. I expected a call with an estimate, I didn't receive a call and fin ally called in myself at 5:00 and was told that due to a build up of fluid under the engine that they couldn't look at it.They could have called me and told me that at 9:05 A.M. and I would have had the day to find a mechanic who could help me, since they didn't I'll have to wait until next Saturday since I have one vehicle.It is bad enough that a mechanic refused to help me with a mechanical issue, but to keep my vehicle from 9-5 only to tell me they didn't even look at it after I called in is absolutely unacceptable.It might not matter to them, but they have lost my business and I will tell anyone looking for a mechanic about my negative experience and tell them not to go to Firestone.

I went in to get one of my tires fixed it had a nail. Was told I needed to replace all 4 tires, 3 of my tires I had bought from you all on 11/19/2021 I have only had them for 2 years and you all are trying to get new ones. I was very upset,I was told that because I didn't get the alignment. I went to Pueblo tire for the one tire I needed and the alignment (which was told it was fine) and they had to refix the tire with the nail because your patchwork still left my tire leaking. Very disappointing you just lost a customer.

Bridgestone's mission is to serve society with superior quality. My most recent experience did not exhibit this. I purchased a car a day ago and this location was listed as a preferred vendor for diagnostic and repair. I had an appointment at 1pm, arrived at 12:48pm and was not seen until 2:15pm. The truck did not leave your shop until after 5pm. We went to this McAllen store where they damaged my new truck with the garage door. Since the incident on December 27th, there has been non-existent communication, no sense of urgency or any empathy expressed from your store located on 23rd. We are now left with a damaged vehicle due to negligence on your stores part by backing into the door. We had scheduled vacation to go out of town but now inconvenienced because of this matter. It has created an undue hardship and unnecessary stress. I understand mistakes happen but the sincerity expressed from this location and the leadership team at Bridgestone's none.Update: First point of contact received today. I received a call this morning 01/03/2023 from a claims adjuster and he stated that they will only fix the wing whereas it was recommended for the entire vehicle to be painted because of the color and it all matching. There was no concern of when the vehicle was altered by the damage caused form the negligence of the shop. It's the principal of it all. It's a need us attitude and that's just not right.

Brought a 2010 Mustang here a couple years ago. They wanted to charge me around $1500 for a tie rod replacement, and were telling me I NEEDED all 4 tires replaced. Looked at my tires and the tread was still good on them. I ended up just paying about $10 for the diagnosis. Did the job at home and paid about $50-$70 in total. Crazy overpricing and will tell you that you need things you don't really need.

Got my tires changed and alignment done. $700, which isn t too bad for all four tires. Drove away with a clanking noise from the parking lot. Came back to ask if they had done anything wrong, because that noise wasn t there before. I know a bit about cars, so I thought they over tightened the lug nuts- easy fix. Now they took my wheel apart, come back and say it s my wheel bearing and want to fix it for $400, say clanking sound isn t their fault. I m no mechanic, but I ve worked on cars long enough to be pretty sure it wasn t the wheel bearing. Sure enough, I say no. They put my tire back together and like magic, the clanking sound is gone. Noise hasn t come back. Car isn t shaking. Steering wheel isn t loose. I can only attribute that clanking noise to their mistake that Sunday. Went to my suegro, he s a mechanic. Checks my wheel bearing and it is fine. So conclusion: they either don t have enough knowledge and wanted to charge me $400, or they did have the knowledge and lied to me and wanted to charge me $400. I am not a happy customer right now.Service: Tires

Got tires delivered to here from a simpletire website so firestone could install them, upon arrival they said they couldn t install them because the the machine can damage the wheels, theyre custom wheels, the lady at the front was rude & raised her voice when i was asking simple questions on why it could not be done & got told the basic response of it wont work because of the machine . Basically i got offered a service they could not provide & then got upset at me for asking why & sent me out with my uninstalled tires..Service: Tires

Service was nice but they did take 2-2� hrs to replace one tire. I would see people just standing around. The tire was clearly non repairable and the Clark lady was really trying make me sweat say I may not have insurance for the tire when she check the computer. I had to ask another gentleman and he did confirm.

Maria and the staff that work here are great. Got my alignment and new tires done without issues. Been a customer for several years.This is the ONLY firestone i trust in mcallen mission area. If it wasnt for Maria I dont think i would be going to any Firestone.To the ppl that complain about the wait, i agree but thats expected anywhere you go. Just drop the vehicle off and go about your day.

Will never go to a Firestone again. Oil filter cap was way over tighten. They offered no help other than 3 months later we will have to change oil again. No I don t want that I just want to have you tighten it correctly and not over tighten it so I can get the oil change again.Then they are over priced. Bad service.Services: Brakes, Oil change

I stopped in here for some brake work and state inspection. I explained to the service manager that I would like to get a phone call prior to starting any work and they happily obliged. The brakes and state inspection were addressed and the team of techs performed their jobs on my vehicle masterfully. I recommend them!

All in all a good place. Ive taken all my vehicles there for rotation, balance, and alignment. All was good until I took in my new vehicle that I recently purchased. First visit was fine. Second visit (where I as a woman went alone) the guy told me one of the belts was super damaged and cracked and had to be replaced right away. Also that the cabin air filter was horribly dirty and needed to be replaced right away. I said I would take it to my mechanic. My mechanic after observing the vehicle for 15 min tells me and shows me the belt and filter are in perfect condition especially because I just recently purchased the vehicle and its not that old. Won t ever trust them for other services except getting my tires balanced, aligned, and rotated. Stick to your local mechanic for other issues.

This location should be avoided at all costs. I requested an appointment online and was told that 6 p.m. was too late and that I should bring the car in earlier for AC repair and maintenance. So I rushed to be there in ten minutes (15:00), only to be told it would be hours before they could even touch the car. I objected that I was advised to bring the car immediately away, and that setting an appointment was pointless anyhow. They lied to me by claiming they never said they would take the car in. They are incapable of telling the truth because they lack the decency to do so. In a 101-degree heat day, I was driving with a child in a car that had no air conditioning.

Horrible service. Towards the end of business day, took a flat tire in for repair. I had used Fix a Flat provided to me by car manufacturer to get to my car to the location. Was told by Firestone that they would not repair tires that had been treated with Fix a Flat. Since it was end of day with limited options, I ended up buying a whole new tire from them to the tune of $170. Took the flat tire with me to get second opinion, and Firestone still charged me for tire recycling fee even through they did not have to recycle my old tire. Was told by multiple other tire services that tires temporarily repaired with Fix a Flat are absolutely safely repairable.This Firestone took advantage of a single woman at end of day who was out of options. Very unimpressed, do NOT recommend.Service: Tires

Took truck for tires and shocks. One shock came off went back talked to Johnny very bad customer service. Told me one and half to put bolt. Never again going back

I meant to write this sooner, but I was in there last week for a state inspection.After I have all the information that was needed to start the process, I figured that I'd just sit in the waiting area, drink some coffee and watch TV to pass the time...well, surprisingly enough, I wound up striking up a conversation another customer, along with one of the owners, Jonathan and the time just went by so smooth that I had no idea on how long I was really there!I was very pleased with the over-the-top courtesy and service that was provided!I will most certainly go back for any other vehicle issues that may arise!

The service was amazing. My tires are a hard size to find, but Fred went above and beyond to take care of me and they also offer a Military/Veterans discount, so I spent less than I was anticipating if Walmart would've had them in stock.
