I'm glad they offer a variety of services, it makes it easy to keep picking them for my car needs. I've previously been here with a car I no longer own, and it needed a transmission (CVT) oil change, something even the dealership wasn't willing to do, and Acclaimed Auto had no issues performing the service. Now I brought my sister's vehicle for a radiator replacement due to a leak, and I'm satisfied with the work that was done. With Acclimated it's as easy as telling them the issue and getting it fixed.

Got into an accident and called the shop to get in to get the car checked. Ben was prompt, and helped me right away. I fully expected/thought there were going to be issues but was reassured I don t need anything replaced - no upselling at all. The mechanic, Angel was great, went out of his way to ensure I d be safe on the road and was quick, prompt and honest. Will definitely come here for all my routine needs and any future repairs. Appreciate you guys.

This place does honest work at a fair price! I ve been here 3x and I m quite satisfied with the work they ve done so far. They also have not tried to sell me services that weren't needed, like dealerships tend to do. In addition, they provided accurate diagnostics (so far) for the issues my cars have faced. Kudos to Angel (the mechanic/technician) for his good work.That being said, I do think a few things can be worked on:1. Customer service isn t the best but it s definitely not horrible.2. The pricing structure should be more up-front (i.e. including any extra environmental fees, taxes, etc.). For instance a brake fluid flush is $59.99 according to the pricing board. However, I paid a little over $80.00. Apparently that s including the environmental fee & tax but something doesn t add up (to me at least). That s still a fair price, but if the final price is $20 more than what s on the board- that should be stated somewhere.Update (for point #2): I ended up calling the owner and was told that they did the brake fluid flush 2x because the fluid was very dirty & that added $10 to the price. He apologized and told me that he should have informed me of the pricing change (though I did try and ask for clarification in the shop while paying and was told that that was the price, which I did not have the energy at the time to argue about). I also think that they should let me know before they go ahead and perform anything that requires extra cash to complete. This is the shop that I choose to bring my business to now, so I would hope that every fee is explained to me in the future, as I hope to not be deceived.

Ben at Acclaimed Auto is the best! We trust him with regular maintenance as well as emergency repairs. He does honest work for a fair price, and is always transparent about prices and options for repairs. He even fixed a mechanical problem that happened the very morning we were leaving for an out of town trip! Thank you, Ben!

took my car for brakes but i knew it was more than just brakes on front. It was brakes front and back. Rotors front and back. My car blew the radiator unexpectedly a few days ago. We had it towed to Acclaimed Auto because they are a AAA location. Ben got the car in right away and had the guys start looking at it. He was kind, professional, and helpful while I waited. He stayed late that day to make sure I got a callback with the information about the car. His advice was very helpful and the quoted price for repairs was very reasonable. Ultimately we decided against the repairs as they were going to be very extensive and the car had little value. Ben didn't even charge me a cent for all the work and fluids his guys had put into my car or for the 2 days it sat on his lot until we could get it towed. We will 100% go back to Acclaimed Auto for all our auto needs - even though we have to drive over an hour to get there from our home! Best auto mechanic group ever!

I am very pleased with the customer service given by the on-site owner Ben Abbitt and his technicians! I called with a concern towards my car and was immediately welcomed to come over in order to diagnose the problem. As soon as I got there I was assisted and given friendly service. My car came off their lot fixed and able to run smoothly. I appreciate the reassurance of receiving an honest opinion on what was best to do about my car. Many mechanics try to oversell here in the RGV but Acclaimed Auto Service is definitely a place to go if you're looking for workers that go by integrity within a job well done. Nice, responsive and quality work. Can t say enough. Ben Abbot is an honest shop owner and Angel is a fantastic mechanic. I have 4 cars and I trust Ben and his team to work on each of them. From diagnostics to oil changes, to tune ups and air-condition work Angel has helped us with it all. He has even taken the time to change a tire. It is hard to find straight shooting honest people but I have come to appreciate the friendship that Ben tries to foster with each customer. AAA approved. Thought I can't go wrong. Owner stated that the mechanic was a genius. Had a small leak. It leaked all night. Mechanic did not check that. Proceeded to light my car on fire. He tried to blow it out with his mouth. The idea of his being a genius left my mind. I told him to get a fire extinguisher. He let the flames go for a few minutes. Owner took no responsibility for damage. Charged me $2500 and left me with his arrogance. Now I am working with the insurance company.Service: Electrical

Hands down the best shop I have ever been to. Ben the owner and his lead mechanic Angel always takes great care of me and keep my car on the road. I highly recommend them to anybody looking for a trustworthy shop in the area.

Very unhappy. Went twice for oil change. Both times came back one qt low. Went back to correct. Owner said that the computer showed 4 qts. How about checking level of oil manually like back in the days. And the 10 percent discount. If you don't ask about it he will put it in his pocket. Never going back. Would not recommend to anyone to get AAA auto.

They did a good job on my car. But the owner made me uncomfortable, kept staring and making inappropriate comments about my looks. It's 2020 women should be allowed to get their cars fixed, without being told inappropriate comments. Please, stop trying to flirt with your customers, it's unprofessional and awkward for them.

What I thought was a stuck thermostat, and causing the engine to overheat. Ben Abbitt the owner/manager asked me to bring my Grand Cherokee in at 1 pm. His technician, Angel, and Ben agreed that the problem seemed to be the thermostat. At about 2:30 pm my jeep was fixed, which included a road test. Mr Abbott was very reasonable on the service. I forget the technician name that left the shop to try and assist me with my blue expedition,but unfortunately he was unable to but at least he was kind enough to go and even got it towed to the shop. Truck stalled on me after it ran out of oil and after adding oil it didn't wanna crank. Technician stated he could be my motor went cout because of it but said he would be glad to have it towed and take a look at it for me all while i was late to work but least it wasnt left in the parking lot and hopefully the will be able to get it running.

One of the WORST experiences. I show up before 9am, tell them I wanted 3 things done, power steering fluid, a window & a fuse. Main guy, who was so nice at first, tells me they'll get to it before noon. At about it 1230 I call to check on the status & he tells me he'd call in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later I go by to pay my bill even if the car isn't ready. He proceeds to tell me if im not satisfied I can just take the car. I said no its fine, very politely. He says he'll call in 30 minutes. Another 45 minutes go by & I call again. The whole time Im polite & cordial & just curious about when the car MIGHT be ready. He seems polite at first then very rudely proceeds to tell me "Since we can't seem to satisfy you, why dont you come pick up your car?" This tells me that they havent fixed anything on my car in 5 hours. I politely tell him "Im being very polite & not wanting problems, i was just wanting to know a ROUGH ESTIMATE OF COMPLETION. I give him ANOTHER 30 MINUTES before I head over. I finally ask the mechanic the status on the car & tell him the gyy was super rude to me. Mechanic apologizes and lets me know exactly the status of my car. They could only fix the 2 small things in the car. It took 6+ hours for them to tell me it would be another day if I want it all fixed. The thing is I understand when a shop is busy, i respect their work & would have been understanding had he just said they were swamped. But instead this man decides to be flipping rude FOR NO REASON simply because I wanted an estimated time frame. I paid him my money for the 2 small jobs but I will NEVER go back there again. When he can learn how to treat PAYING CUSTOMERS, maybe I'll go back but according to the comments on goggle he does this. Never again.

Called and got denied a price quote, I mean my vehicle isn't mobile atm because I need some transmission done, what kinda of shop is this?. Don't call this place, they will not give you a price, you have to go in person to get 1, so screwed up in my opinion.

Mr. Ben Abbitt became very irritated, rude and unprofessional because i refused heater repair on my automobile after he gave me the estimate (his estimate was very hefty). I had done biz with him for more then 10 years. Gave him big jobs $250.00 tune ups for each of my two automobiles every 50k miles. I even apologized several times on this incident to no avail. Still, no hurt feelings here Mr. Abbitt.
