I ve been taking my vehicles to Star Automotive for years and they have ALWAYS taken care of us! Which is why many of my friends and family now take their vehicles to Star Automotive. I try to take care of things myself but some things I just can t and Star Automotive always helps us out. Thank you Star Automotive!

Brought in my 2004 Ranger because the lower ball joints were completely blown out and the truck was making awful creaking and clunking sounds.I was recommended to Star by a fellow Rural Mail Carrier who also has a POV.We ended up changing the upper / lower ball joints and control arms. They had the parts overnighted, had it fixed the next day, and at a completely comparable price (looked 3 other places).Job well done! This truck is as quiet as a mouse and such a better ride.I will be back if I need more work.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Called for estimate on my car and was TURNED AWAY. I asked for price for an oil change which is a service they do and he not only refrained from giving me a price but also said we leave it to other ppl to do those ... ONLY quote he was willing to give was a $350 brake job and he literally had ME guesstimate how much it would be. No proper introduction just asked me what I needed and was vry dry. not helpful at all

Quality work you can trust! I have a few vehicles I don't trust anyone to work on except Ryan. I would recommend him to anyone that is particular about their cars or just looking for a place they can trust. Thanks Ryan!

If you want honesty and full service from your automobile repair shop you are coming to the right place. I have used Star automotive on my family's vehicles for a number of years now. I have not been there recently and found the number and called them and they exceeded my expectations again after a couple of years. I like to support my local companies that perform in an excellent manner. Thanks

I brought our truck in today with a diesel fuel leak. Fully expecting to be without it for the weekend. Within five hours, I received a call saying our truck was ready! A wonderful surprise! This place and the people here are amazing! If you need any work done on your car or truck, don t hesitate to come here for service! I called this morning to see if they had any room to check out my brakes today. Austin was very friendly and said they could get it done today. After I dropped the car off, I received a call within an hour or so explaining the problem with my brakes and a very fair quote (significantly less $$$ than another mechanic I went to in DFW) - Everyone I encountered at pickup/payment was friendly as well. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Mansfield/Arlington area. I feel relieved to know of a great mechanic in the area in case something happens to my car in the future. We have used Richard at Star Auto for decades and have found him to be honest, knowledgeable & dependable. I hope his son proves to be the same. Although we have moved to another town 35 mins away, I still rely on Star.

Austin and the team were great! I called in to drop off my car shortly after they opened for an engine diagnostic test. Austin checked in with me and had the problems fixed by lunchtime! And the pricing is fair, as well. I definitely recommend Star Automotive for any of their services.

Wow! This place is pretty amazing. My 2002 suburban AC stopped working on our trip from virginia to El Paso. This shop is really decent, they try to help you out! Ryan tried to fix a burnt switch, see if the compressor still worked. After they saw it wasn t going to work, they replaced with a new factory one, and even replaced the serpentine belt. After this, my suburban has no rattling. Ryan did a great job getting this done for us the same day. I highly recommend them, as they are a honest shop with the best of intentions! Scrupulously Honest -- Richard and his crew are simply THE BEST to deal with in every way - and I've been using Star Automotive since 2002 for all my repairs.He's completed simple tuneups and major repairs quickly and NEVER with any "unexpected" charges.I cannot recommend Star Automotive more -- only wish I could leave 6 stars.

Incompetent is a complement in my opinion... I took my Chevy Equinox here to be repaired for a bad timing issue that had rendered my car unable to drive. At first I was fairly happy, even though the repair would be over $1500, because it only took them 3 days to "fix" the vehicle. However, IMMEDIATELY upon leaving, within 1/4 mile, my check engine light came back on. They said it was just a leftover code and cleared it. I left, it came BACK ON, and I went back... THREE TIMES. The fourth time the light didn't come back on till I was halfway home, however by this time they were closed for the evening, so I just drove it home. On my way to them the next morning the car began shuddering and bogging down like it had before. I told them to find out what they didn't get fixed the first time when they supposedly "repaired" my timing system. Later that day they called and said that the sensors for the **TIMING SYSTEM** were bad and it would be $500 parts and labor to fix them. WHAT?!? I JUST SPENT OVER $1500 PARTS AND LABOR TO FIX THE **TIMING SYSTEM** AND YOU MISSED DIAGNOSING BAD SENSORS **FOR** THE **TIMING SYSTEM**?!?! AND YOU WANT TO CHARGE ME AN ADDITIONAL $500 FOR SOMETHING YOU MISSED!?!?!? After voicing MUCH displeasure about the issue, I agreed to pay for the parts, but NOT THE LABOR, as they should have fixed those parts THE FIRST TIME. Bottom line was: they didn't feel responsible for missing the diagnosis the first FOUR check engine lights and they felt that the extra time it took them to figure out WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT THE FIRST TIME needed to be covered BY ME!!! THEN TO TOP OF THEIR RIDICULOUSNESS, THEY DIDN'T DEPOSIT THE CHECK I WROTE FOR THE PARTS FOR ALMOST TWO MONTHS, THROWING MY BANKING OFF AS I HAD ASSUMED THAT THE CHECK HAD BEEN DEPOSITED A LONG TIME AGO!!!! Stay away from these people if you value your time, money and vehicle.

Went to the local Ford dealership for engine replacement. 1 month later no updates, no work done. Towed my car to Star automotive, and in 1 week driving away. Great on updating me on car status. Prompt, thorough, and used Jasper engine. Wife loves her car. Thanks Star Automotive!

I've known these guys for years! They are honest, dependable, reasonably priced, and accurate. Come-backs are a thing of the past when using Star Automotive. Google should add 5 more stars for certain companies. This would be one! The guys here are really nice, but I'm pretty sure I got ripped off and would have been ripped off even more if I didn't go somewhere else for a second opinion. I got a plastic shield replaced around my passenger tire and was first told it would be $45 then once they called about part, they said $117. Other figures they gave me on other work I had done included labor, but it wasn't until after this plastic shield was replaced that I was charged $172! I'm not a rocket scientist but pretty sure a small strip of plastic that just needs screwed in isn't that much. Also, after a diagnostic on some electrical stuff in my Odyssey, they told me it would be over $400 just to fix this one little thing with one power window. I took it to B&M Auto Specialists and after a diagnostic, they thought it would be $475 to replace a box and reprogram it to fix all my electrical issues, but once they got in there, it ended up just being some fuses and they got all my electrical working (power doors, locks AND windows) and didn't charge me anything! Maybe they don't know much about Odysseys at Star, so perhaps another vehicle would be fine there, but I'll be going to B&M from now on -- who also charged me less to have timing belt done which had a 2 yr warranty instead of costing me an extra $75 and had only a 1 yr warranty at Star. And customer service at B&M has been top notch entire time.

Being from out of state...and have an issue with U-joint...they got me in quick...and had me rolling in a couple of hours at a reasonable price.. thanks guys...good job
