Recently added some modifications to my car for the first time. Spoke with both owners who reassured me of my options and provided the best quote for someone who was trying to save as much money as possible. I gave my car in and had it back within a week! The modifications were also to the suspension and since I ve had my vehicle back, no unusual vibrations or sounds in the cabin and the car handles beautifully. They really know their stuff and offer great prices. I had tried asking around for quotes and TKA gave me the best price.Go to spot if I m back in Lubbock!

So far my experience isn t great! My car has been here almost 3 months and I ve been calling consistently about updates on my car, and get the same answer. This is not the best service so far and I m pregnant and in need of my car bad! I have yet to be told prices of fixing and see any actual results. My insurance has been waiting on them with my vehicle and it s been over 3 weeks now to break my engine down. I don t want to make this worse on them because I know that I can, but this a nightmare! Praying whenever it is fixed that they fixed the problem on my car for it to have been there this long!! I ll update this review as soon as I can!Service: Engine repair

I brought my truck in over a month ago for a simple electrical repair that I did not want to do myself. I did act like I didn't have much knowledge on mechanical or electrical repairs.. I've stopped in a couple of times to see how they were doing with my vehicle and to my amazement they told me that they were still working on it. I waited a couple of weeks and then came back and he told me the same thing I'm still working on it we are pulling it in and out of the shop as we go. I decided to go examine the work that they did claim to have done.it was obvious that the car has not even been looked at the door panel wasn't off or any signs that it had been taken off. I could not believe that they blatantly lied to me. I don't know about his mechanical skills for i have not been able to see any, but I do know that their character was not up to par when it comes to integrity.it's hard to find a good mechanic that's why I do most of the work myself.. I would suggest finding another place to go if anybody were to ask my opinion.

Took these guys my 94 Ford Bronco for a complete drive train installment and then some (Motor, Trans, T-case, Intake manifold, Headers, etc.). It took a little time but it was a big job to say the least and I understand these guys have to get other smaller jobs in and out to eliminate clutter. My review isn't really for their great work but for their gracious demeanor. Their service was great, talked to them atleast once a week if not more, professional and respectful. We had a family emergency that led to us to the ER at the Covenant Hospital and put us in a financial bind. Well it's such an older vehicle and bolts seize and or other parts just don't come apart like they went together when built. So some extra work was needed to be done to be able to finish the assembling of the motor and what not. Well with extra work/parts comes extra cash and that was cash I just didnt have at the moment. I CANT THANK THESE GUYS ENOUGH FOR THEIR GENEROSITY. They worked with me on the total cost, even went out of their way to give me a ride due to me having to ride the ambulance to the ER. Just good people and they'll get you taken care of. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE. Thanks again Trevor and to the Total Knockout Shop.

I tried to get a THERMOSTAT replaced in a 2001 Explorer Sport trac. I looked it up online 1st. It said it should cost between $118 and $160 for the thermostat AND the housing BOTH! The labor should be between $65 and $85 and the parts between $55 and $70.THIS GUY HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME IT WOULD BE $590 PARTS AND LABOR!!!!THAT IS A 500% INCREASE OVER THE SUGGESTED PRICE!! Remember, sometimes you are paying for the lifestyle or rent of the shop or mechanic, ALWAYS look up the price yourself 1st!! YOU COULD SAVE 400%!!!So...... before chosing this shop, remember, some of those reviews are from friends or family, do your research, I did and saved $500 on a $120 job!! That is downright THEFT! AND THIS SHOP SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR TRYING TO RIP PEOPLE OFF TO THIS EXTREME!!!

Took my car by for a check engine light and had it looked at and fixed same day! Great guys and they know what they're talking about. Highly recommend!

These guys are the best!!! Came through for me at 430p, replaced my fuel pump, and back on the road that very day!!! From out of town and had to be rolling out at 7am.....the next morning...not all hero s wear capes.

The other reviews on this place are from the owners friends. THIS SHOP IS TRASH. Will tell you they can fix anything, when in reality they have no idea what they re doing I would avoid this place at all costs! I let this guy work on a perfectly fine truck and now it is all messed up!
