Thank You Nick's Automotive for making my most recent car repair experience the best car repair experience I have ever had in every phase possible! They totally delivered on everything their TV Commercial advertised. I brought in my Chevy Equinox LS to Mr. Chris the Technician & Ms. Becky the Service Advisor they Diagnosed the problem free. I arrived a little bit after 10:00 am and everything was resolved before lunch! My thermostat was going haywire and my AC/Heater dead. When time came 2 pay the bill my receipt was easy 2 understand & had a complete detail of the parts, labor, & time used for the Job. I have had the same kind of work done on previous vehicles I've owned and the Price Nick's gave was more than agreeable. I have never felt more stress relief or eagerness 2 settle up with the car repair place. Now my AC is Blasting Cold air & All the warning lights on my Dashboard gone! Thank You for Honesty & Professionalism You Guys are Absolutely everything you say you are! This IS the BEST place 2 go 4 any car repairs you may have, I promise!

I have used Nicks several times over the years and they have always been very friendly and HONEST. I was told by another auto shop that my car needed a $900 repair, when I called Nicks for a quote on the same repair their quote was $400. I took my car to them and they looked at my car and it didn't even need the repair the other shop reported that it needed. Nicks didn't even charge me to look at the car. To think I would have paid $900 for an unnecessary and overpriced repair job to the other shop. Another time I thought I needed a new battery. Oreillys said the diod failed their test. Nicks looked at it and said it just needed to be tightened up and once again didn't even charge me to look at the car!! And most recently, a very well-known auto shop quoted me $2500 for repairs, Nicks quoted me $1500 for exact same repairs. And when they looked at the car one of the service items wasn't even needed as it all tested out good and so Nicks didn't charge me for that either. Most auto shops would have just done it because I asked for it but Nicks tested the coolant and said it was still good and no need to flush and fill it and charge me for it. They are honest every single time which is rare in this field of business. I recommend anyone to use them and at the very least compare their prices to their current shop. They will give free estimates. Their office manager is a female and always friendly and willing to help. Recommend 10/10.

I recently decided to have my tires rotated before the winter season. Unfortunately, during the tire rotation, one of the front wheel studs was broken, and a piece of the stud got stuck in the rotor. This caused my car to make a concerning whirring noise, making it seem unsafe to drive. In a hurry and needing my car for work, I visited the nearest mechanic shop. However, they were unable to fix the issue and suggested leaving the car for repair. As a physician on call, it was not possible for me and I needed the car.Upon my request, the technician called Nick's Automotive for assistance, despite two of their technicians being away. Neil, or the technician whose name I might have misremembered, kindly agreed to help. I drove my car cautiously, not exceeding 10 miles per hour, to Nick's Automotive. I was greeted with a warm and friendly reception. They promptly ordered the necessary parts and managed to fix the issue within 20-30 minutes of the parts' arrival. I was pleasantly surprised that they charged me a very reasonable fee, not taking advantage of my vulnerable situation. My overall experience with Nick's Automotive last week was excellent, and they have now become my go-to mechanic shop. It's not easy to find a reliable mechanic, but I wholeheartedly recommend Nick's Automotive to others without any reservations.Services: Tires, Brake service & repair

They were nice people to interact with and most of them certainly have very good intentions. From my experience I could only recommend them for work that is on the simpler side of mechanics and I would not take them any deep or very complex engine repairs. I had my truck checked at Gary s (my usual spot for the vehicle) because I was having a pretty bad coolant leak; they told me I needed my timing cover gasket replaced and that I should take it to sunset automotive and to be weary because any other place was likely going to ruin my truck but I was foolish and looking to cut corners on the price however I could. I remembered that awhile back I took a vehicle to nicks to have a simpler repair done and received a price that I could work with so I took it there instead after they quoted me about 2-400 less than sunset and a much quicker timeframe. First, I was told it actually just needed a new radiator cap and they charged me the diagnostic. After questioning them about it and not really believing, I left and changed the cap. About two hours later I drove about 4 miles to work and the car started smoking/steaming so I opened the engine and it looked like coolant had sprayed all over the engine or something I dunno .took it back and had them tell me it was the water pump and I badgered them about it because I knew it was the cover gasket first and they assured me it wasn t. Then they said I needed a pulley replaced. Asked about the timing cover gasket and they assured me no it s not that. They put it back together and when I went up there (after hearing no word of status) they finally acknowledged the timing cover leak and said they had to take it apart again. finally got my truck back I drove to work and then somewhere else (about 2 miles total) and the engine just stopped in the middle of driving and I had to pull off and call a tow. Got it back to nicks and the diagnoses was that I needed a new gas pump. Then the timing belt jumped and that needed replacing. Then that didn t fix it maybe it was a head gasket. Then it wasn t a head gasket, it was some part they had to special order. But that didn t fix it either and when I went to start my truck just to see what was going on the engine was shaking and running horribly and they basically said it was done and they thought it would be best if they could try and help me trade it in. After spending what I would have spent to take it to sunset and have the proper repair done the first time(hopefully) I declined and had the truck towed back to my house and sold it. It really really sucked. Could have been bad luck but from the overall experience I got the feeling that someone was slightly negligent in the beginning and then they kept on even after they were in over their heads. They didn t make me pay for all of that work, but I still shelled out almost a grand on all of it only to have my engine ruined by the end. This was all at the beginning of 2023, my truck was in the shop for a month or a little over? And I had to call them to get updates, instead of the other way around. The last time I went there (maybe 5/6 years ago) they fixed my car (wheel or axis stuff I dunno) in one day and it was affordable.

Neil was very honest and after he diagnosed my VW Atlas got no charge. Nowadays, mechanics will try and take advantage of you? But here at Nick s Auto - they are not out to take advantage and overcharge for repairs. Thank you, Neil!!

Ac started blowing warm in my car. First shop quoted me almost $2000. A friend recommended Nicks for a second opinion, their mechanic determined it was only a clogged condenser. Less than a quarter of the first shops quote and a few hours later, my ac is working better than before! Highly recommend this shop to everyone. Very friendly and professional staff.Service: Air conditioning

My family has been going to nicks since nick started that shop up and if you are a loyal customer you would know how long that actually is ! Well I recently been having problems with my car over heating (about 2 months ) and I been to nicks 3-4 time they charged me $60 two times because they thought that s what was wrong with it . Me being a young single mother that s 24 trusted them and their service. Well Aug 12 at my house I took a video clear as day my coolant tank was leaking so I had proof the next time I took it up there so I took it last Friday and today they called and said they couldn t find anything wrong with it but we told them there was a leak . I ended up getting off work just to go point out where exactly it was leaking , just to get told let s get you a quote . Which at this point I m upset because your the mechanic why didn t any of you see it ? So no I m not paying AGAIN when it should have been fixed the first time. Well after me saying I wasn t going to pay again, DON said you can take it down the street and find someone else to do it I don t even want to work on it no more in a unprofessional very disrespectful rude manner ! That s very unacceptable of him to be talking to anyone like that JUST BECAUSE THEY POINTED OUT YOUR JOB ! I will be contacting nick because my grandma knows him well and I WILL NOT EVER go back again to die the employees at nicks !! It was no excuses for this kind of behavior to a customer/family that has been coming to you for years !

Kaylob has great knowledge of the fitness and calisthenics world. He worked with my 12 year old on strength, speed, and agility and we saw major improvements and gains. You won t find a better option for a reasonable price. His energy and personality for well for my kiddo.

I wish I could give them 0 stars because the service was TERRIBLE. Took our car to auto zone because it was squeaking and jerking and they said the MAF sensor needed to be replaced because it was causing our car to jerk. Brought our car here and told them our car was squeaking and it was jerking because the MAF sensor needed to be replaced. Long story short, they didn t fix it. We dropped off the car and picked it up and they said they stopped the noise coming from the car. We got down the road and the noise started again. Took it back to them and let them know the squeaking wasn t fixed. We dropped off the car again the next day and picked it up and they said they fixed it. Started driving and the squeaking came back and my car started jerking again. Took it back to autozone and o Reillys again and they both said the MAF sensor needed to be replaced to prevent the jerking. Took it back to Nick s and told them the MAF sensor wasn t changed and it should ve been done the first time we brought it in and the squeaking still hasn t gone away. The mechanic stated the squeaking will never go away unless we order 3 more parts costing $4000. Then we asked him why didn t he tell us that before instead of lying saying he fixed it and didn t? Then he said we ll I didn t find out until after . So instead of telling us he decided to lie and say it was fixed and it wasn t. Then he admitted he didn t change the MAF sensor the first time, knowing it needed to be replaced . Then he proceeded to say what do you want to do about it because I m not gonna pay to order the part . At the point we just took our keys and left. DO NOT go here.

My car needs strut assembly and brake replacement. First I went to another store, they didn t accept parts other than OEM, which were so expensive. But my car is 11 years old, it is unnecessary to change OEM parts. Then I came to Nicks and they did it really quick, after 3 hours I dropped the car they finished the job. The noise when braking and turning has gone. I really appreciate it because we planned to have a road trip tomorrow.

Never take you car here in the last 3 months they have took my money and never fixed my car right and nel is so unpleasant and don't know how to run a business I would love to speak to the owner and I will find the owner because the girl that answered the phone and threatening to call the cops on me today does not need to be working for them and of nick or his nephew doesn't own it they need to take his name down because they are making him look bad I'll. Never use them ever again and no one should

Came here for the cheapest option to get my car fixed. They did their best to provide a cheaper option. They provide a loan service in case you are needing more help covering the cost. It did get higher than originally planned. They do not provide alignments.Service: Steering & suspension repairService: Steering & suspension repair

I took my car to the brand dealership and was shocked to get a $4,000+ quote. After a few hours with Nick's, they were able to find the issue and completed the repair for just under $500. I had my car back in under 24 hours, they explained everything in detail, respected my vehicle, and were polite. We will return and bring both of our cars here! Thank you, Nick's!!Service: Battery

Nicks Automotive provided quality fast service and demonstrated the utmost integrity. I brought my vehicle in and It was suspected the arm control was bad and needed to be replaced (about $400 repair) to which I agreed. When time came to replace the part I received a call a loose bolt was tightened and problem was fixed at no charge. They even offered to change out a tire that was bad and put on the spare so I could safely drive to get it replaced. In a world where it seems honest business is hard to come by. Nicks Automotive is definitely not looking to make a quick buck . I have brought my vehicle here several times for different repairs and will continue to do so because of genuine integrity, care, extremely fair pricing and excellent service they provide. You cannot beat Nicks Automotive.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Shop went to hell after Nick gave it to his nephew Neil. I have 3 experiences at this place since about 2018 that are not good. I didn't understand why I had 10+ years of amazing experiences with this shop and the last few were hell until I asked where Nick was. It all makes sense now. I recommend taking your vehicle anywhere else in town. Nick gets 5 stars Neil gets 0.

I used to bring my vehicle for every need to Nick's Automotive since 2020 and continued to use them over the next couple of years until March 2022... I brought my vehicle in and sat for a few.... they seemed bothered by me hanging out in the lobby, first red flag. While I am sitting in the lobby they received a complaint call and they rudely responded to the caller, second red flag. I assumed they would be very quick as they have been in the past so I tried hanging around until I was pressured into leaving. I called an uber due to them telling me there was 4 cars ahead of me and they haven't even looked at my car at all. I understood and went home. I called 2 hours before the end of the day and was told a mechanic was driving around to see what he thinks the problem is. I initially brought my vehicle in to have a part replaced as one of the previous mechanics before the new management took over, told me was needing to be replaced. 1st call they said they don't think that particular part was the problem. I said okay? And they said they would call me back when the mechanic returned. No call back. My wife calls the next day and they tell her the exact same thing, They're not sure what the issue is but they think its one of two things. They never responded about what neither of those two things they thought were. My wife is told again, she would receive a call shortly after the mechanic comes back from driving the car. The 3rd day I did not call until 2 hours before they closed for the weekend. When I did call I was told they aren't sure what it is but its not what I brought it in for. I asked "so did you fix the car?" and they said they were test driving it to see what the issue was. I went back to pick up the car because of course it was Friday and after spending 100's on ubers I decided enough was enough. I had not received a clear answer, each time we called and I felt we were given the run around. When I went to pick up the car, a gentleman asked if I would be bringing the car back, I said Yes so i wouldn't seem rude but I was done with the entire experience. Come to find out they are under new management which explains why the entire experience was off. I really miss the old management because they were caring and made sure to provide the best customer service. It was the opposite this past visit and solidifies my choice of not going back. Also, my car is actually driving worse than it was before I took the car, I am beginning to wonder what was done to my car for it to be running worse than it was prior to me dropping the car off?? All in all I had cash to fix my car, I trusted this location due to prior experiences but I have lost my trust at this newly managed mechanic shop.

My car wouldn't start on Thursday so I had it towed to Nick's right after lunch, having asked them to look it over so I knew for sure that it was just the battery and not the alternator before I went out to buy a battery. Friday, I called them while on my lunch break and was told that the technician was working on it at the time. I was told they would check with the technician and call me back. I never heard from them so I went by after work. That time, they told me they hadn't yet had a chance to check it out but that they were pretty sure it was just the battery. They had it for 2 days and not only had they lied to me about having been working on it when I'd called earlier but then they told me they couldn't get to it and it would have to stay there over the weekend. It doesn't take 4 days to check a battery. This afternoon, my stepdad called to see what they had found out because they still hadn't called me. They had already installed a new battery without ever having discussed a diagnosis or pricing with me, much less getting my authorization to do any work. So a $189 battery ended up costing me an unnecessary 4 days without my car and almost twice the price I would have paid if they'd done the honorable and professional thing and discussed it with me before doing anything. Nick was always honorable and fairly priced. But since it's been under new management, there seems to be no integrity left in their practices. After 15 years and many referrals, I am sad to say that they have lost mybusiness for good because this is now the 2nd time in 2 years that they have treated me like an ignorant woman rather than a loyal, paying customer with more knowledge of cars than they give me credit for.Service: Battery

*****UPDATE 06/12/17*********The water pump they installed that is under warranty busted. They agreed it would just be the cost of labor to have it fixed. Thirty minutes later they called back saying it wasn't just the pump but also a "timing gasket" that would cost almost $500 to fix. It's amazing how Nick's replaced the water pump and a month later my radiator needs to be replaced by another garage since Nick's refused to fix it. Now their water pump busts and now the "timing gasket" needs to be replaced even though that piece should have been replaced when they replaced the water pump the first time. It's amazing how I have never had a problem with my truck until Nick's touched it. I will save my money for a mechanic I trust and ride a bike to work.DO NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE REPAIRED HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just spent over $300 to have a water pump repaired and now a month later my truck has lost all of the antifreeze. I called them and asked of they would look at it since they took everything apart to replace the pump. They said only the pump would be under warranty but it would cost more to fix. So instead of seeing if one of their employees didn't tighten a clamp or something small and easily fixed they are ready to start finding things to charge me for.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE TO GO, went for repairs on my car and was told he would be while until he would be able to get to my car so I left my car in confidence due to the recommendations I got about him but oh were they wrong he towed my car not long after I left it for him to repair and even though I left him my number, email, and address he never let me know anything until I just recently called to get an update on my vehicle. He had no remorse and said if I'm lucky it won't be crushed by now???!! So now I'm stuck paying a towing bill before I can even think about getting my car back:(Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Nicks automotive was awesome, my car broke down and I had to get it towed. I towed through nicks and they simply added it on to the total instead of charging me right away. I towed my car to them yesterday. They knew what the problem was a few hours after I towed it to them. (the timing belt & some other stuff) and by 8 am they already called me and explained to me the issues and that the car was fixed! They charged a fair price, even with the tow included I paid less than what I paid at the dealership a few months earlier. Now my car is driving fine and I have peace of mind! Nicks is definitely the place to go. Close too, just off 34th and Indiana. I recommend this place to any confused college student like myself who doesn't know much about cars. They explain everything great and Avery at the front is super informative and helpful! So glad I chose this place!
