04-04-2024Was referred by a friend to take my vehicle here due to having a coolant leak. They found the leak and replaced my radiator and thermostat. My vehicle was ready the next morning. Also let me know they found an oil leak also. Very informative on what was going on, what needed replaced and answered all my questions. Cameron and Hud were both super nice! Great customer service! Will come back here in the future next time I need something fixed! Fair pricing! Also gave me over $120 off for being a first time customer!

This is by far the best auto service in Lubbock! I have had so much trouble getting my car into a shop until I came across Huds. My car got in, and out of the repair shop so quickly! The repairs were phenomenal! My car drives like a dream! I'm recommending them to my parents for their repairs! The prices were fair and can't speak highly enough of them. Everyone was so nice and I received great customer service!

I took my car in there because I got a good reference from somebody. They checked it out and said there was zero compression one of the cylinders and that I needed a new motor he didn't even offer to diagnose it further(in fairness to them the vehicle does have over 200,000 mi on it). So I decided it tow again to the dealership Go to find out It needed a fuel injector. Needless to say to say I won't be bringing my cars there if they're don't have enough time to thoroughly diagnose the issue or just don't care.

Have taken my ride to Huds for years. The last few times there, Cameron at the front desk is always extremely rude & he is always trying to sell me things I don t need.

We brought our Dodge 2500 to Huds because A&B Muffler highly recommended them. We had previously taken our truck to Frontier Dodge 3x and one time they said it was the catalytic converter and would cost over $7000. The last time they couldn t figure out the issue, so we took it to A&B Muffler, they tested it for FREE and said it was good, so we went to Huds. They got us up and going quickly! The guys are honest and reliable!

Have used shop in the past and never had an issue. Took this week to have our suspension checked out from running over a curb. Huds wanted to charge 2400 for 2 struts, a tie rod and alignment. I took to a different mechanic who couldnt find anything wrong. We chose to have an alignment completed for peace of mind. Huds charged me 85 for diagnosis. There was NO damaged parts and an alignment fixed the issues. I reviewed the alignment sheet and the car is 100% in spec. The alignment was 95.00 so it cost me almost as much to get it from Huds as the actual cost to fix my car.Cameron who is the manager is a flat crook!!!! Do not use this shop unless you want to pay for items that arent damaged!!!

A friend recommended Hud s saying they were honest and affordable. We have had all 3 of our cars worked on at Hud s. We have always been treated respectfully and they are always willing to answer questions concerning what could be or is wrong with our cars. I feel they do good work, don t recommend unnecessary work and have fair prices. It s hard to believe there are any low ratings for this place because we ve always been pleased, will continue to use Hud s and I recommend them to anyone who needs auto repair.

I had such a great experience with Hud s. I was greeted warmly and the entire staff was beyond helpful. My transmission is shot and they were honest and helpful. I can tell they re not out to get your money and genuinely care to help.I ll be moving to Lubbock soon and I m glad to say I found my auto care place!

Attempted to use this business to help my grandmother get her car working again. After explaining that the car wouldn't start another licensed mechanic did a home visit to resolve the issue, but was unsuccessful, the shop decided to "pass" on working on her car. I understand "no shoes, no shirt, no service" but find the immediate dismissal despite both my and my husband's professionalism was jarring and suspicious to me. I expect that part of the reason for the immediate dismissal was due to hearing my sister in the background when I called to confirm details. Extremely unprofessional.

We came in a few weeks back to get our brakes fixed, their receptionist was very professional and polite and he was able to give us an accurate and fair price in no time at all. I was very impressed with the timely work done here and this will definitely be the only shop I ll be taking my car to if i could give 6 stars I would! The staff here are amazing. Even with the current environment and having to run their business with "no contact" they exceeded my expectations. My repairs were done the same day and they called to explain everything that was wrong and get my consent before they repaired anything. Nathan was even so kind as to recommend that I file a claim with my insurance once I realized what must have caused the damages. He offered to keep the damaged pieces for me at the shop so the adjuster could see them. The next day, Cameron took the time to send me pictures of the damaged wheel hubs that I could send to my insurance company. Their level of service is above and beyond and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Being new in town, finding a new place to get our cars serviced can be challenging. From the first phone call we made to Hud's to when we picked up our car after service, they were AWESOME. Nathan in the front office was incredibly friendly and helpful. They gave us a free inspection and diagnosed the problem quickly. The quote they gave us was half the price of the quote we received from a place out of town and lower than the quotes we received from a few places in Lubbock. We will definitely be going back to Hud's. Highly, highly recommend!

We were from out of state and we had Issues with our diesel truck late in the afternoon. We looked for a close diesel repair place, and they answered the phone immediately as several put us on lengthy holds. We asked them for help on short notice, and they enthusiastically told us the would clear a bay and start as soon as we could get there.They recommend a towing company for us very fairly priced. We arrived there at 5pm and they told us the 2 scenarios and they were able to fix it and even stayed a little past 6pm so we could be on the road.Their kind demeanor and professionalism throughout a very frustrating ordeal was above and beyond what I have ever received from any repair shop or dealership. The service manager even offered to give us a ride to a nearby restaurant. Would recommend to anyone who needed car repairs.

I feel very lucky to have found Hud's Auto Service and I would not take my truck anywhere else. They are professional and very honest when I need my truck serviced and I know that the job will be done right. I have just dropped by with a problem and they go out of their way to get my truck serviced. If you are looking for honest, dependable work on your vehicle, this is definitely the place to go.

My car was driving funny and a diagnostic test at another company showed I needed to replace my alternator. That company wanted to charge an overpriced amount. I called Hud's to see if they could do the job and they had my car fixed and ready to go the very next day. The service was amazing and everyone was extremely friendly. The shuttle service they provided was great and much needed. I was highly satisfied with my experience and at such a great price!

I took my Toyota Corolla to Hud's because I was having issues with the car hesitating on starting. They checked it over and found a faulty starter. Before starting the repair they contacted me, and gave me an estimate for the parts and labor. I gave my approval and within a couple of hours I was contacted again and told that it was ready. The final cost was actually a little below the estimate. This makes the second time that I have taken my Corolla to Huds for mechanical work. Both times the work was done quickly, and at a fair price. I also have had no issues with the quality of work done.

I had several people look at my car no one could tell me exactly what was wrong. As a single mother money was tight and my car was having trouble I went here and not only were they able to fix my car but did it at no cost to me. They said it was a very simple fix just needed to add a bolt and refused to take payment from me. The staff was super friendly and even help to entertain my son while the repair was being made I wish more businesses had the report and demeanor of this establishment. A huge thank you to HUD's, I would recommend their service to anyone!

Hud's Auto Service is by far the most professional, competent auto shop with which I have ever dealt. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and honest. If you have a car or truck that needs repair, you should look no further. Our alternator went out on a road trip. We detoured to Lubbock and HUD s Automotive took care of us right away even on a Friday afternoon. They had the replacement part we needed on hand and completed all the work in under 2 hours. The price was more than reasonable and their professionalism was much appreciated.

We had an issue with the RV A/C in the truck where it was sometimes blowing air but also seemed to turn off -the whole family sweating in Texas July heat and had a long trip ahead on July 4th weekend. The RV place we rented at, if we ever got through to call, indicated it was likely a sticky unit? And to try turning to cold then hot then cold and see if it would help (and then they left as we waited on hold).. it did not and we were on our own. We stopped for Freon but Freon was full. My father found HUD s and they were a lifesaver; God is good. I barely had any money in my wallet so I gave him what I had. We cannot say enough good things about this place, the employees, and highly recommend if you are in or around the Lubbock area to go here if needed! To the mechanic and team at HUD s-Thank you for all you do- we appreciate you and wish there were more places like this everywhere and closer to our house. I drove my suv across the country when I moved to Lubbock. When I got here though, my brakes were wrecked. I called Hud's asking how long and how much it cost to get them repaired. They told me they could do it the same day and then gave me a very reasonable price. I dropped my suv off around 10am and they were done by 2. The man at the deck was very friendly and went over the price again. I will go here again if my car ever needs it, because I know they don't try to rip you off and have very good customer service.

As someone with ZERO mechanical knowledge, it's comforting to know that I'm not being taken advantage of when I take my car to Hud's. Their staff is knowledgeable and willing to work with you when you can't afford to do everything they are suggesting. I often have to ask "what is the minimum I can do and still have a safe car?" and they are quick to suggest what has to be done vs. what can wait. They are honest and fair and as much as it stinks having to have work done on your car, you can rest assured that you're getting fair work at a fair price when you trust your vehicle to Hud.

This is the place to go for honest quality work on all of your vehicles. Some of the first things you worry about when your vehicle breaks down is, "how much is it going to cost?" and "who should I take it to?". Hud's Auto Service always does an excellent job of diagnosing the problem, explaining it to you and giving you a summary of cost. They only repair what need's to be repaired and don't try to up sell you on work that you don't need. Hud's Auto Service always contacts you before beginning work on your car.The quality of work at Hud's Auto Service is unparalleled. I have had them work on all of my vehicles; each and every time the work is completed right, the first time. From mechanics to the front office, everyone is professional and knowledgeable. They truly care about their customers.If you have car trouble or just want your car looked over for preventative maintenance or before a road trip, your first and only stop should be to Hud's Auto Service.

I took my vehcile in for A/C problem. I delivered it first thing in the morning and was told it would be ready on or before day's end. I picked up vehicle around mid afternoon fixed and ready to go. I have used Hud's services several time on my personal autos and others in my family. I have always received superior service in a timely manner and reasonably priced. With service like this and pricing, I will continue doing business with Huds.
