Armando Martinez communicated very well with everything that was happening with my car while it was in repair, was patient and kind. I had a loaner the same day, my repairs and recalls went so smoothly! Best dealership so far to do my repairs!!

Amanda was the best! She helped me with my car getting the head gasket fixed and assured me it will get fixed. It took a little longer than expected, but she kept me updated. I had wipers installed too, gave me a discount for waiting longer. They treated me good. 11 stars all the way! I def recommend Gene Messer VA! Ask for Amanda.

My experience with Gene Messer was phenomenal. Cade was willing to answer any questions I had about several vehicles and was super friendly. I test drove two of their cars and was able to make my decision after that. There was no pressure to buy right then and when I asked for pictures and information they were quick to get it to me. I definitely appreciate all of their help!

This was our first time using Gene Messer VW service and the staff were very professional and a pleasure to work with. There were some difficulties with the repair that were out of control of the dealership but they handled it extremely well and kept us informed during the entire process. I'll gladly take our vehicle back for future service!

If I could give 0 stars, I would.I brought my car in after a fender bender, because my tire pressure sensor and steering stabilization were messed up. Today I got my car back, they charged me $900+ for the sensor, didn t fix the stabilization, and broke my side mirror and now my engine light is on and it wasn t before. I have picture and video proof of this before and after.For reference, the steering stabilization is so messed up - my wheel has to be held 30 degrees to the right for it to steer straight and it s hard to turn it to the left. THAT is the main reason I brought it in, and it s not fixed, and in worse condition than before.Not only that, but it took them a month and a half to fix one thing and break two more. They never answer the phone - myself, my dad, and my insurance agent couldn t get ahold of them for an entire month. My insurance only covered 30 days of rental, so now I m out of pocket for that too. Screw Gene Messer VW - go somewhere else. Dark picture is before, light picture was today after picking it up.Edit also! They broke some buttons on my steering wheel! It won t change between pages on the dash anymore. And I saw someone else s review of their side mirror broken as well. Get it together.

My experience at Gene Messer VW was an easy process. And that is the greatest compliment I can say. Taking my car in after many years I knew it needed some work. Amanda was great. She always kept us updated and informed on the process following the diagnosis. And receiving text messages and videos (if needed) on what was wrong and why from the mechanics? Absolutely great quality service that is very hard to find today. I will always return to have my car looked at. Thank you to EVERYONE at Gene Messer. Happy Holidays and stay safe!

When you start shopping out of state for cars, you always are a little bit nervous. I didn t need to be nervous with Gene Messer Volkswagen. Don Rodriguez was patient as I deliberated and never pressured me. He made buying my Golf R easier than I could have possibly wished. From the initial inquiry to discussing financing to finalising paperwork, everything was smooth as could be. Don even arranged for me to be picked up from the airport when I flew out to take delivery (shout out to Nathan Thomas)! Very pleased with my experience. Would recommend.

Dropped my 2018 Tiguan off at Gene Messer VW on Saturday May 20th 2023 and pick up my vehicle on Monday, May 29th 2023. I was getting some warranty work done and everything was fine in that aspect as of right now. My biggest issue was upon inspecting the vehicle when picking it up I had a Huge gouge on my rear bumper and informed the service advisor that brought out my vehicle. He let his service manager(Mark Jimenez) know what I was claiming. The service manager came out of the office already in a bad mood asking me to show him the damage and then he reviewed the pictures and proceeded to tell me it was already there. I review the picture with him and clearly the large gouge was not there. Yes In the pictures it was dusty but the gouge is very noticeable. He told me he asked the tech and the tech told him that he never even got in the back of the car which I know he did because some items that were in the front of the car were in the back of the car when I picked up the vehicle. Either way someone there caused my vehicle damage and when I addressed by it, The service manager Mark Jimenez was completely rude start to finish. Never have I had such an experience with the VW like I did today. All Service advisors were great. This can t be the first time that manager has treated someone that way. I ll be filing a complaint with corporate about the way I was treated. Completely unprofessional. Currently waiting for the store GM to reach out to me like I was told. Will keep this updated. I want my car repairs ASAP!

The service manager Andrew was nice enough.. But I was told my car needed a heater core. A $1200+ dollar bill, when in reality it needed a heater door actuator. Mears was kind enough to do the work at no charge after correctly diagnosing the issue. Maybe a one off experience but still aggravating to almost be had like that.

Was noticing tremble while driving and brake dust on wheels. Service department found my car had wrong rotors and brake pads. I had taken it to Onion Creek VW in Austin and they failed to find that issue. Very grateful to Andrew and his crew.

Lots of mix ups and misunderstanding once they have your down payment. Nothing done like they say. And it was difficult to contact my salesperson as soon as I signed. Typical. But I got a good car

The sales kid literally seemed bothered I was there. They had a used car that I liked- it was not clean- vape or cigarette film inside windshield- dirty outside- dirty inside. It wasn't a perfect car- modified with intake and exhaust, tint bubbles, dings dents scratches, asking price was top end of the market. Found 5 or 6 in Dallas online for cheaper and better shape- wouldn't budge on asking price, they low balled my trade by a few thousand- even after showing them multiple offers for more. Car had been sitting 120+ days. Manager said they paid to much for it and that's why they couldn't lower the price.... well maybe if you lowered the price you could move it off the lot and bring in nice clean 1 owner trades and make money. Even the manager guy was like "$500" off that's it.... they didn't want to sell a car...

The Technicians are great A++. Parts and Service writers are F-. Prior to my 60,000 mile service I had taken the vehicle in for service due to a broken wind deflector on the sun roof. The broken part was removed and a new part ordered. Fantastic service on that end. Parts department and or the service people never called me when the part arrived. So at the 70,000 mile service I followed up again and the part was ordered again. Again part arrives and no call. When the lack of the part was the cause of a service complaint at the 70,000 mile service you would think they would let you know when it came in. Car has been dealer serviced since day 1. The Technicians are the best. The other folks with parts and service writers don t follow up.

Always great service. I am never concerned about taking my car is for service or evaluation. Have to say that Andrew innthe service are takes it a step further. He makes me feel like a friend and does things to show that he truly cares about us and that we are always being looked out for. Timely updates, honest assessments, and going the extra mile to make sure his department has done everything they can to make my situation better. Great Job!!

As far as just doing a regular maintenance of our car oil changes and recalls, I have never had a problem with Gene Messer. However if you have an older car, there service department is definitely not my top choice. They say the initial diagnosis is free, but they can t tell you anything with the free diagnosis. So after you spend a couple hundred dollars they ll tell you the ten year rule on the cars is up parts can t be found and they can t fix it for any guarantee. It s also a guessing game if you can ever get ahold of anyone in the service department. They will call you for more money, but you can t get them if you are trying to call back to ask questions. On top of it all if you are any type of mechanic they will definitely not explain anything on how or why you had or are having problems. It s a beat around the bush situation with no guarantee of results they just want your money.After having the time to fix my car I wanted to update my review, so that all the people that don t trust dealerships have have the piece of mind that they are correct. The $1,800 I was quoted to attempt to fix my car just cost me $125 plus a spanner wrench I had to buy. The timing belt was loose and the plugs and wires needed changed. However I was told buy the service department that they changed the plugs from the picture you can tell that was never the case and there was an engine mount out that was extremely obvious. If they have this bad on technicians working there maybe they just need an actual mechanic. As for my cars they will never see this dealerships service department again, I ve truly seen their colors. Oh and the reply you see from the service department they never called it s just to make them look good on their side.

Gene Messer has exceeded my expectations on all aspects of our purchase. We worked with Kyle Hind on our recent and previous purchases with dealership. Kyle told me at the onset of our conversations that he sought to exceed our expectations and he followed through. I was impressed with his knowledge, prompt responses, and helpfulness in our purchase. He took us at our word as we progressed through the deal by providing us opportunities to discuss financial options before committing to a purchase and taking time to consider all factors. Kyle went as far to pick us up from the airport when we flew in from Dallas, TX to finalize our purchase deal. With every step along the way, Kyle represented the best of Gene Messer and Volkswagen. I appreciate hearing from Tyler Mitchell, the General Manager, and appreciated his willingness to answer our questions throughout the purchase. I feel confident that I will look to Kyle and Gene Messer for my next Volkswagen purchase based on the service we received. It was truly first class.One suggestion: having direct lines to Sales Specialists and Managers would be helpful in the future. The dial system for the dealership's phone line did not always work correctly and did not always route me to Kyle or Derek, the Finance Manager, when needed. Providing direct extensions for the staff would be helpful.

We bought our jeep April 3rd........still not registered to us, do not have plates..(stated have to get a duplicatetitle)..if you do not have a title dont put a vehicle for sale.....going on 3rd dealer tag fixing to be 4th Oct 1st...sales person Bailey does not check in....we didn't even get a call to see if we were happy with our purchase. Will not ever use this dealership again!

Girlfriend bought a used buick from them and got screwed royally. The car had electrical problems from the start but after a few days in their "service department " they claimed they could find nothing wrong with it. 13 months later they're saying it's been over 2 years and she has a useless car.
