I've taken my car here for routine maintenance for several years. Yesterday I had to take my car in for a potential safety issue involving my brakes. They worked promptly during the holiday season peak hours to get my car back to me and the issue resolved within 24 hours. The crew is always helpful and professional! They were working tirelessly and on multiple vehicles the entire time too.

Went to gene messer kia at 7:15 am this morning 9/23/23! The service was by far the best I ve ever had there! Thomas and the manager were two of the best people I ve ever encountered there! They made everything so easy. And it actually felt like we had known each other for years! This was the first time going to service department and not being pressured to upgrade, buy or tricked into buying more then what I came in for! John made sure I got a detail list about tires and explained everything that came with it! Devon the technician serviced my daughter s vehicle in a very timely manner! And that Thomas was hoot and I enjoy talking about sports and restaurants with him! After getting an oil change this morning, I have been burning my wife s ear up about how well it was ran there! Please go say hi to those guys and enjoy the different and new way Kia service department is ran!Service: Oil change

I called to get my 07 Kia looked at and serviced. They got me in right away. The service tech called me 3 hours later and advised me that a part needed to be ordered. Instead of keeping my much needed vehicle, they put it back together, and I was not without a car until the part came in. Thank you, guys.

I have waited a full 3 months to write this review and I must say that this is only toward GM Kia Service Dept in Lubbock, TX. We have owned 5 different KIAs and WERE a loyal KIA family until needing to use this service department.I had a 2020 Kia Forte which I purchased new in 2020 during the height of the pandemic. I noticed a rubbing noise when backing up in the steering wheel shortly after purchase and mentioned this to the service advisor at a scheduled oil change. They told me the steering column needed to be replaced. They were going to order the part but of course at that time everything was in short supply so I waited and mentioned it at the next scheduled oil change....still waiting for part. Next oil change, they knew nothing of it and would order part. Fast forward to end of summer 2022...still no steering column and now the AC started to fail. Only one side would cool (it had dual AC). They told me the vehicle had a hole in the compressor not covered by the warranty because I probably hit something (I didn't) and it was going to cost me $1300. I waited on repair since it was the end of summer. I took the car to two different mechanics (the first did not do warranty work) and they both said there was not a hole in the compressor and that it was probably the actuator which was covered by warranty. The second mechanic said there was a Freon leak somewhere (not in the compressor nor was it the actuator) in the vehicle and that it was best to take it back to KIA to find the leak. I do. We are now in 2023. What does KIA service department tell me? They couldn't find anything wrong with the AC. It was just low on Freon. Now, how would the car be low on Freon if there wasn't a leak somewhere? And what about the $1300 they originally told me I was going to have to pay because there was a hole in the compressor?? and the steering column I had been waiting on for almost 3 years?? they would order the part. What??? I feel like they wait to do any work so the warranty would expire and of course I or anyone else would need to pay more. I had also in the past during an oil change requested they rotate the tires on this vehicle which they charged me for but did not complete. I knew they hadn't completed the tire rotation because I had a flat tire 2 weeks prior and the chalk mark showing the tire leak was still marked and that tire was in the same position as when I took it in. They are liars.....all of them! Then they tell me they've changed Service Managers...like that would make a difference! All they did was make me trade in my very much loved KIA Forte for a Chevrolet. Just so that I don't have to deal with this shady A service department! Don't fall for their lies!

The staff are very friendly but apparently they don t have enough mechanics to operate at a satisfactory level. I have routinely waited close to two hours for scheduled oil changes. The last time I took my vehicle in for a schedule routine maintenance, I was told they they were so overbooked that they would need to keep my vehicle all day. I had to get transportation back and forth for this date. Today is my most recent negative experience. I booked an appointment for 10am because my engine was overheating (2021 Kia K5) and was told right away that they would need to keep my car for a minimum of two days. I just called at 530 pm for an update and was told it hadn t even been looked at yet. Basically, scheduling appointments at this service center is pointless. Second, as a single working mom with one vehicle, it makes life very difficult to say the least. I wish Lubbock had another Kia dealership or more staff could be hired for this one.

Worst service I have ever experienced. All I need is simple replacement and they have had my car in and out for days! I have to pick it up for the weekend because I cannot be without a car!! No offer for a loaner or rental. They keep saying they are waiting on calls from Kia to approve the replacement and running tests . It should not take days to run tests! Got an oil change at a different place today and they left a cap undone under the hood that could have caused damage to the car! They have never changed the air filter from times I have changed the oil with them come to find out. Not to mention the ridiculous price for an oil change. HORRIBLE!! I love my car but will seriously consider something else when it s time if I have to keep dealing with this company.

Made a appointment for recalls. They acted like the didn't have my appointment when I got there and had to go through all of it again. When I picked up my vehicle, I had a list of items they recommended I get done including transmission and radiator flushes because they said the fluidsw were "excessively discolored ".I had my mechanic check and they're both fine. They also broke my key fob NOT TRUST WORTHY.

I've called and gone on line its the same just for an oil change. . On line thay take all your info and still forward it to whom ever. On the phone you wait for I don't know how long. It's suppose to be a local number. I've decided just to go through a drive thru to get an oil change.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

We went into the service department yesterday and the woman there was NOT helpful at all, did not even try to help find an answer to our question, short with us, and not friendly. This has happened to us with the service department before, so maybe we should take our business somewhere else.
