Thanks to Gary s Service Center for the great Leap Day gift you gave me yesterday.I took my 2006 Lexus in at 8 AM, expecting that you would examine it and call me saying a broken switch, engine, or equipment failure was keeping my front passenger window open more than three inches from the top in 33 degree weather with rain and snow. The online information I had read said that repairs would probably be upward of at least $300, and I anticipated it would be a several-day repair. I felt grateful that this was the first time my hybrid SUV has been in for repairs in the eight years I ve owned it and added 65,000 miles to the 80,000 it had when I bought it. But managing the best I can as the wife of a husband confined to memory care with dementia, I dreaded the call confirming the problem and cost to repair.Before 10 AM the call came with a question whether I had recently replaced the car battery. My reply was positive; yes, the battery was replaced shortly before 2023 ended. I was then told that when the battery is replaced, it is necessary to re-program the windows to raise and lower. The work had been done and the car was ready to be picked up, less than two hours after I left it! I was so dumbfounded that I forgot both then and later to ask why, with at least three battery replacements in the last eight years and no previous window problems, this had now happened. Never mind, the bottom line, as I signed the receipt, was a zero balance owed! No charge! Just a wonderful gift on a cold damp Leap Day, February 29, 2024! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I ve already told the story and recommended Gary s Service Center to several friends who were happy to get the recommendation. I m not wishing any additional repairs to cause my return, but now I know where to go if necessary.Gratefully,An 87 year old VERY satisfied fan of Gary s Service Center

A friend recommended Gary's to me when Firestone quoted me a very costly repair and I wanted to get another quote. Turned out, the issue was not even what Firestone told me it was. Gary's shop saved me literally thousands of dollars. Since then they've kept my 13-year-old high-mileage Subaru going, and I've greatly appreciated their honesty. I'd gone to Firestone because it's national and it was nice to have my records go wherever I went when I moved across state lines, but if you want trustworthy and reliable service, nothing compares to a local shop run by local people who are invested in the community. I highly recommend Gary's.Side note: any shop that has a "shop dog" is legit in my book. Dog people are good people. Thanks for all you do, Gary and crew.

The nicest mechanics I had ever met, extremely trustworthy, even gave me a student discount. The employees were very nice and complimentary, helped me out ensured me everything was good, even pointed out that one repair I thought I needed was actually fine and the other mechanic I went to just misdiagnosed it. Didn t ever feel like I was being taken advantage of, Definitely my go to place now

Hands down - the best experience I've ever encountered with a auto mechanic shop! All of the employees I personally dealt with were very knowledgeable and experts within the automotive field. Every diagnosis and potential service was explained to me with integrity and trustworthiness. My vehicles issue was taken care of promptly and efficiently. Excellent service!!!!

From the moment I walked into this establishment, I knew that I was in good hands, Jake was both kind and knowledgeable. Being new to Lubbock, I was not sure where to find a reputable, fair, and honest shop so I got a list of preferred shops and then checked the reviews and chose the one that felt right with God's discernment. Great people, Great knowledge, helpful employees and technicians. I ve dropped off my personal fourrunner a few times now along with my company truck and it s the only place in town I trust. Johnathan every-time has been able to dumb it down for me when explaining what s wrong/ advise the best steps forward to keep my vehicles well maintained. Definitely not the cheap guys in town but do you want quality or value? Good isn't usually cheap and cheap usually isn't good. They pull out all the stops to make sure your vehicle is in tip top shape and use quality parts. The mechanics are well trained and will have you back on the road in no time.

I took my expedition to get inspected. The guys were polite, friendly and very helpful. My husband even took his motorcycle for inspection. They were really fast, didn't even have time to cool off in the office before they were done . I would definitely use them for any mechanical issuesThanks a lot guys, you are awesome

Brought my car in for a state inspection. I didn't need an appointment, and they took care of it within a few minutes. Everyone in the shop was very nice, and they have a pleasant waiting room with coffee. The next day I had a small issue with one of the screws holding on my license plate, and they took care of it without a wait and I was in and out in a few minutes. One of the best mechanic shops I've been to. I went by 3 other mechanic shops to get my motorcycle inspected. They seemed not to care or not have any knowledge of my motorcycle. At Gary's Service Center I was instantly cared for and taken care of. Customer for life now!

Friendly service, very open and honest workers. When I described my vehicle's issue, he looked into potential safety recalls and found one, gave me the paper and referred me to my vehicle's dealership. Could have easily put my car in the garage and charge me for an inspection fee despite known it was a recall issue, but was very friendly and honest. Will be going back here if my vehicle ever needs general service again.

I've been going to them for three years and they are fantastic. You need a mechanic you can trust and that is them. They do great work but they are also not looking to rip you off. Yesterday my car was running fine but something was hanging down from the bottom of the car that seemed deeply problematic. I brought it to them and they explained it needed to be secured. Not only did they do it that day, they didn't even charge me for it!!! When was the last time you went to a mechanic where they did work and didn't charge you anything? Gary's is a great place. I highly recommend it.

I ve been using Gary s for 15 years now. They are the absolute best! Any issue I have ever had, they resolved immediately. Outstanding customer service! These guys go above and beyond. Had my Honda CRV starter fixed here recently. I am happy with the service and their professionalism. The staff was really helpful and courteous. The front desk office lady who helped me with rides to and fro from my house was really awesome and such a sweet person. Would definitely recommend this place:)

On our way through Lubbock to Angel Fire, we had a wobble and need help quickly! Called a few repair shops and none could help us same day. We called Gary s and they said they could at least take a look. Turns out it was a fairly quick fix and they took great care of us! Friendly staff and a comfy waiting room! I have no word to describe how incredibly kind and caring the staff here is. I am a young college student in nursing school and I rely heavily on my car, so when it comes to honest repairs my life depends on it. Jonathan checked out my old 98 Camry and gave me the diagnostic I needed to know and gave me the truth about my car. My car is getting to the end of its life but Jonathan is partnering up with me to give my car what it needs to get me through school. He is so incredibly kind and truly is a caring person, Id trust this man with open heart surgery! I highly recommend Gary s, as he seems to have a good eye for hiring honest people and doing good work. LOVE this place and won t go anywhere else! FINALLY an honest mechanic shop, Im so glad I came here over any other place in the area.

I usually do my own maintenance in order to save money and the only shop I truly trusted was back in Dallas. However, I took my truck in due to hearing some noises in my suspension that I couldn't diagnose myself. Not only did Gary's service center solve that issue, but also took the time to look into other areas of my truck that they were hearing and gave me free tips/advice on how to fix those issues and what the process looked like. They went out of there way to make sure I understood what was going on and helped me save money in the long run. If you're worried about getting scammed or having work done incorrectly, bring your car here! They know EXACTLY what they are doing! Owner is ornery. I m only rating this based on who I dealt with on the phone, was rude and condescending. He labelled himself the owner of the business. He refused to give an estimate on a very specific service I had all the details to, and tried to get us to bring it in and pay $60 (it would have had to be towed) to most likely tell us the same problem. (Trying to squeeze out all the money he can get is my guess) I was calling around for second opinions for my friend who is from Africa and has an accent and a bit of a language barrier (she was at shop asking her for a lot of money after they diagnosed the problem). Other shops I called after him had no issues estimating and were kind and cooperative taking less than 5 minutes. He also condescended to me, called me girl instead of ma am, and quickly escalated the aggression of the conversation within all of one minute reminding me it s my business not yours which was not at all necessary or relevant. I didn t yell, I simply said I was confused why the details I had were not enough.

First visit to Gary s Service Center for an oil change for my daughter s car. I m visiting Lubbock so had to look up a place to take it based on reviews. Jonathan helped me and was very friendly with quick check in and I got a text when car was done. Quick reasonably priced service. Happy to have a good, honest auto shop that my Tech student can take her vehicle to for future oil changes and any other maintenance and repairs. Go Red Raiders!

Took a chance with this place after losing a longtime family mechanic who closed shop and happy I did! I wanted to avoid franchises and big auto places but I m always hesitant with the issues that often come with small shops. But! Gary s was everything my last mechanic was and more, and the price beats the big name competition by a huge margin! I had needed a ball joint replacement and was quoted a price less than half that of Christian auto. Gary s would have just done that work but I asked them to check the steering over - they found just a few critical replacements needing to be done that I opted for. (And I knew the steering was shot - the truck was on rugged mountain roads constantly for three years in CO). I expected the whole normal game to be played with the final call before the work was done - I know I have three easy fixes that any mechanic would notice that could be offered on my truck. But Gary didn t try to sell me till I was broke on any of those other issues (example, o2 sensor out; easy and profitable fix for a mechanic to upsell on). That alone gives confidence to their work, as it s so easy to say this or that is an urgent repair to sell more to ignorant customers. Very happy I wasn t put through the ringer.But what impressed me most was the price and quality - good solid parts used and great work done. I was charged $800 for work (much more than just the joint) that a place like Christian auto would have charged at over 1800.The guys at the shop were friendly and professional, and I was overall very pleased with the whole deal! If I wasn t moving soon Gary s would be my go-to for any repairs for years to come. I ve recommended them to three others so far, but I recommend them to you all as well!Service: Steering & suspension repair
