These guys have been great from 1st point of contact till pickup of our repaired 2015 f-150!! Very personable, knowledgeable, & honest!!! I never felt like I was gonna possibly get taken advantage of because I am a woman. Best repair shop I have been to in lubbock & I've lived here all my life & have been to several shops. I have found my repair shop I know I can depend on and trust!! My truck has been running well and I am a happy customer!! Thank you both!!!

Jason is great. He's super honest and really knows his stuff. My car's suspension and brakes were in bad shape, but he fixed everything up at a very good price, definitely a better price than other auto shops. If you need a reliable and honest auto shop, this is the place to go, no surprise they have only good reviews here.

This place is a lifesaver always recommend to my friends and family. Can t find honest mechanics these days so they are a God sent. Joe is always very nice and professional and gets me in and out as soon as possible

Both jason and joe are awesome. Honest people. I went there to fix my door locks and horns. The pricing is fair. And they have drop off and pick up. The place is also quite nice. Will surely recommend. I will also visit them again for sure.

This place is a true money saver. They worked with me and did not make me feel stupid when explaining to them what was wrong with my vehicle. This is one of the god places. And they are up to speed when it comes to technology. I could pay online and I loved that because I work some much I don t have time to take off work to come up there and ect.

Jason has helped me numerous times when I think my car s going to die on me. He s awesome. I had my car towed to the shop the other day thinking it was done for and he got it up and running within a day. Super kind people. Highly recommend this shop for all your mechanic needs!!

Excellent Automotive lives up to their name 100%!!!!! Both Jason and Joseph are really sweet, honest, down to earth, knowledgeable, and very helpful.JOSEPH RODRIGUEZ helped me out with my Nissan and he couldn't have been more nice and helpful!! I had to bring it in on three separate occasions over a period of two weeks. The last time I brought in my vehicle to have StopLeak added Joseph didn't even charge me which was so, so incredibly kind of him, and he got me in and out super fast!! This has to be by far the best garage I've ever taken my car to. I will continue to give them my business and refer all my friends to them as well!! Really great group of guys....can't say enough good stuff about them.Anitha Pal

I have had more one-on-one contact with Joe, but both Jason & Joe are amazing! I have had multiple experiences of coming to them for issues with my check engine light and repairs that were needed for my Mazda 3. I cannot recommend them enough. Their prices are beyond reasonable for services they provide, which is really meaningful considering I am a graduate student (with not a lot of income).Also, for more context on the ONLY 1 star review: the vehicle in question that had a more expensive oil change was a new BMW. If you don't know, anything concerning BMW's are always going to be more expensive no matter what the issue is...because it's a BMW.Service: Auto maintenance

I'm going to save you time and they're going to save you money! I read 10 to 20 reviews to get a gist on who I'm thinking about hiring for whatever issue that that has slapped me in the face and making life harder than it needs to be. So listen to me , stop reading and take your vehicle to Excellent Automotive! Jason and or Joe are straight up honest and care about ppl and helping them with their vehicle's. I'll give you some context as to my experience with them. I am a spinal cord injury person that is paralyzed from waist down, as such, my vehicle is a modified truck that has both driver-side doors welded together that open on a hydraulic system. So when my truck is not working I'm dead in the water and just can't jump in a loaner vehicle due to my disability. Jason and Joe full on understand this and always work me in typically the next day or asap, no matter how busy they're! Who does that anymore these days? To top it all off they're always priced hundreds of dollars less than the competition. Example- my alternator just needed to be replaced and I got quotes from several companies in the area, and all of them were 850 to 975 in price! Guess what Excellent Automotive charged me. 518! Yep. 518 and they did it on the fly. Look, if you're still reading this rather long review stop reading and get your vehicle to Excellent Automotive and you will not regret it at all. Hands down, the Automotive repair shop in lubbock! I just wish they offered a " frequent broke down vehicle card." bc my truck is always in the shop! Had a wonderful experience here. Jason was courteous, professional and honest. I brought my car in to diagnose a potentially costly repair, but thankfully it turned out to be a minor problem. As other reviewers mentioned, he charged very reasonable prices for his services. I think I just found my go-to mechanic!

I cannot say enough good of this business and those working there. I showed up flustered after my power steering and AC went out 10 minutes into a long drive to NM - after an already long day of medical emergencies.The gentlemen who helped me were able to quickly identified the problem with my car, (snapped serpentine belt) and found someone to rush the needed parts to their office. They had me in and out in well under an hour.They treated me with incredible kindness on a day when it was much needed. I will definitely be coming back if I ever have car trouble in Lubbock again!!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

HONEST - EXPERIENCED - FAIR PRICING - PERSONABLEI am from out of state and had my moms car fixed here. Jason and his crew were professional from the very start. They went above and beyond to accommodate my mom by picking up her car and bringing it to their business. Communication and expectations of needed repairs were constantly provided and held to. No surprises. They even were able to assist with getting tire repairs completed at another business. I also liked the fact that I was able to pay online so my mom would not have to worry about it. Jason & Joe always up front & honest. Been extremely patient with my 01 Pathfinder & all it's issues. Got a replacement engine in & running, though was a long & arduous battle. But they prevailed. Were quick to take it back in & do some tweaks after put some miles on the newly installed engine. Will gladly use them again in the future. Thanks Excellent Auto guys!

Many thanks to Joe for everything he did to get my Cruze fixed. From an O2 sensor to replacing the turbo I was kept informed and was treated with respect. Its hard as a single lady and a senior to know where to go for car repair. Now I have no worries Excellent has my business because I know I can trust not only Joe, but the business as well. Ladies, here's our shop! Hubby works out of town (and we're new to Lubbock), had car trouble, hubby called Jason from where he was at and told him "my wife will bring it in". I had a few concerns when I first arrived, Jason noticed and made it right, right away! He listened to our dilemma and was empathic and professional. Best customer service around! If I ever have car trouble again, I'll call Jason directly and tell the Hubby about it later! I know I can trust Jason and know he'll be fair and he'll even give you a ride back to work/home and let you talk his ear off! Thank you Jason! You definitely made us your Number 1 Fan! I don't even know where to begin.Jason put my mind at ease from our first phone call discussing my frustrating car problems. I was also concerned about being able to afford it, and still get it fixed well enough for my mom to drive safely.After calling around town and being told I would have to pay a $100 fee just to find out what was wrong with the car... I was more than pleased to hear Jason say that he would not charge me this (9/10 times, unnecessary-fee) Having that extra money to put towards actually getting the car fixed, vs lining the pockets of the Chain-Auto repair shops was Paramount (of utmost importance) to my thin wallet, yet still getting quality repairs.When I arrived, Jason spent extra time with me discussing my options and gave me a good estimate on what I would be looking at in terms of not only what was required... But no surprises in $$$.*I didn't have a ride home and before I sent for UBER to come get me, Jason was already asking me if I was ready to go home? (Taking me in his vehicle.) In a very timely manner, the car was ready! Before I started looking for a ride to his shop, Jason informed me he would be happy to drive my mom's car back to the house! What a great guy, & such a relief! My Mom was unable to get vehicle herself & I was very busy, all day as well.I had a check made out for Jason when he arrived and was told that the problems were all corrected.He took the extra step of telling me to let him know IMMEDIATELY... IF I had any other questions or concerns... Not to mention any problems with the repairs.Needless to say the car is in fantastic shape and I couldn't be happier with the price!Thank You so much Jason, and everyone at ~Excellent Automotive Repair~ I will be back with any future car care needs!Christopher Ryan Dugger

Had a headlight that kept turning off and went to 4 deferent mechanic shops to see if they could fix the wiring and got turned down by all of them, But when I came here he had it fixed by the next day and didn t charge me anything. He even explained what was wrong and how he fixed it.10/10 would recommend.

I needed a new compressor for my car's AC. Jason was able to fix the car quickly, he did a fantastic job, and the price he quoted was much lower than all the other places I called. They have a customer for life now.

A dealership quoted me $1300 to fix the heater on my wife's car. Jason fixed as good as new for $115. He also checked the rest of the car and told me what need to be fixed an what could wait. So great to find an HONEST mechanic!

Supposedly had a transmission issue and took it here based on advice from a friend. They checked it out and told me it was a wheel bearing guaranteed. Jason took care of it quick and for a fair price and no more noise! I'm going here from now on in Lubbock.

Would not recommend. Moved from Dallas and trying to find where to take my car. Excited for the reviews but..$96 for an oil change (synthetic) is too much. Customer service was also not that great. On to the next.
