Highly recommend this place. The man at the front counter is extremely courteous and has an understanding and helpful heart. We left our car with them and it checked out fine. Obviously they could have found 'something' but after checking and driving the car, all was normal things and no high repair costs to us. We appreciate honest folks. We believe you can put your trust in this company.

I've used Daltons multiple times over the years. They've always been very friendly! They always get my vehicle taken care of, going above and beyond with my insurance/warranty and making sure I get taken care of at the best price!

They honestly don t even deserve the one star I gave them no stars from me they kept my car for five almost 6 days because they were trying to diagnose it and couldn t figure out what the hell was wrong with it and every day I called they would tell me that there was something different wrong with it even though they couldn t figure out what the hell until I finally got enough of it. I called on the fifth day and i said give me back my car. Obviously there s nothing wrong with it terrible experience terrible management, terrible mechanic shop altogether. Worst experience, zero out of 10.DONT COME HERE

Brought my car to them and they didn t quite fix it correctly the first time, but Joe was very forthcoming and didn t make me pay for labor to bring it back in and was very apologetic. Seems like an honest place and somewhere I ll bring my car back to despite the misstep. Appreciate how the situation was handled.

Dalton's took care of my daughter's car for 4 years while at Tech. I have always felt like she was in good hands and they were treating her like their own daughter (in fact, they even had a father/daughter conversation about the inner workings of her car). Was in town for work, and my car started acting up. Brought it here because it was the closest to where I was staying, and had decent reviews. Took them a week to even tell me what was wrong. Mass air flow sensor, they said. Then they quoted me almost 400 dollars for the repair. I Googled it. It was an 80 dollar part, and took ten minutes to install. I told them not to do anything, that I would be back. I then had to have a friend drive from Dallas to come get me. So, I rented a car, drove BACK to Lubbock with the part, and they still wanted 165 bucks to put it on, the price including a diagnostic. I wasn't happy, but needed the car and needed to get home, so I paid. I didn't get halfway back to Dallas when the car started to fail again. I barely made it home, with the car repeatedly dying as it had been doing before. When I arrived home, I took it to a mechanic I know and trust. Within minutes, he had pulled off the new part, put the old one back on, drained my gas tank, and installed a new fuel filter. Turns out it was just bad gas that had fouled up my filter. Now, tell me WHY supposed professionals didn't or couldn't figure that out? They fleeced me for my hard earned money, I doubt they even ran a diagnostic, cost me a ton of money in rental fees, gas, not to mention what they charged me for NOT fixing my car. Do yourself a favor. FIND ANOTHER MECHANIC. These people will take your money, overcharge you, and probably won't even fix the actual problem. Find yourself a mechanic you can trust. It'll save you time, money, and aggravation in the long run. Thanks for nothing, guys.

Only place we get our cars taken care of and fixed. The peace of mind knowing it will be done RIGHT and not guessed at and never overcharged! Absolutely trustworthy mechanics, I trust them with my kiddos cars also and would highly recommend. It may take them a little longer every once in awhile but it's always an excellent job.

I took my 2014 GMC Pick Up to the shop I had been had been using for years3 times for the same problem. They told me I needed to take it to the GMC dealer. I took it to Daltons instead. I have used Dalton's over a time span of about two years. I love how they treat me. They don't use terms I can't understand and never hesitate to answer questions professionally. I never feel like their prices are unfair. If something isn't quite right, I bring it back to them and they are fair on whether I get charged again or not. They take care of what work they have done, and are honest about if something is a different part or not. I have been super-satisfied with how they've taken care of my car. They know I'm busy, and they honor that. That's why I was excited when one time when I had the oil changed, they noticed that the Inspection was due to be done, so they took the initiative and got it done. Also, I'm grateful they can run me to work when I drop off my car. I trust them completely.

The staff was so friendly. No one talked down to us because we didn't know nothing about cars. I've had that experience before. Our water pump had went out. They repaired it and we had our car back the same day. This is where we'll be taking our car from now on. Thanks guys.

Great service. My check engine light came on as I was driving back to Dallas. Dalton's was recommended to me by my brother. I was in and out of their shop in two and a half hours. With new spark plugs and injection coil. They were super busy but we're kind enough to get me on the road again. Thank you.

There will be a long wait, they will be short and angry at you as if You intended for your car to break, and they will overcharge. I live very close to the shop and have taken my previous truck there when I busted my tie rods. They were rude and took forever to even look at my truck. When I got a new car I had something leaking from the engine. They had it for a day and a half to tell me it was coolant and I needed to replace the water pump. Just like the other review said. Something fairly easily to diagnose. I knew I had a wheel bearing out so I asked about getting that fixed as well. I also needed parking break shoes. They quoted me at $1040 for parts and labor. I decided to find the parts and do the work my self. I found the parking shoes for $70 (they had it as $150). They wanted $350 for a wheel bearing that he said was a "better one" than the one that I found which was $70. Needless to say they will find a way to get more money out of you. I will not be returning.

I've taken several cars here over several years and never had one problem with their timeliness or service. It's always a pleasant experience and they always give the lowest quote. I normally call four or five places before taking it there; they haven't let me down yet.

After an estimate for repairs I had doubted at another establishment, I took my car to Dalton's. My car was checked over and necessary repairs have been made. The cost was much more reasonable and I am confident that nothing was charged unnecessarily. This was my second time ever to visit Dalton's, but I found I can trust their judgment once again. I learned my lesson.

My family has always taken all of our vehicles to Daltons. From the used beaters to the new cars. The guy at the front counter Irvin always has an answer for any questions I have and if he doesn't know the answer he always gets it for me in a very timely manner. They are very competitive in their prices. In short there isn't another shop I would take my cars to. Thanks guys keep up the great work!!

I had my transmission oil "replaced" and my filter "replaced" by Dalton's. Five months later my car is stalling and not properly accelerating. I took my vehicle to A-1 Automatic Transmissions on 34th street and they assured me my transmission was fine and that my transmission oil was low. How could that possibly be with Dalton's just having "replaced" it five months ago??? We took it back to Dalton's because they supposedly warranty their work. Dalton's told us that the transmission needed to be completely replaced and that the oil was actually "too full" and that they would call me with an estimate. Of course, no call back and it's been over one week now! I took it back to A-1 and they had to replace the filter since it was improperly installed at Dalton's and had to replace the oil because it in fact WAS LOW! Dalton's complete and utter disregard for properly doing their job could of cost me thousands of dollars because of their lack of knowledge in doing a simple task such as changing the transmission fluid. And I agree with the previous post, we had to wait almost two hours just to get a price estimate! Dalton's has terrible customer service and are incompetent when it comes to transmission work! I highly recommend A-1 Automatic Transmission off of 34th street here in Lubbock! They are qualified, very conscientiousness and extremely helpful. They have gained a new customer!

Took in my moms car to see how much it would be for them to replace the negative cable. I drove the car there and waited a bit.. after a while the rep said I had two options. 1. to buy a cable that the manufacturer made or 2. buy a replacement cable.. the first option he stated would cover over 1,000 and the 2nd around 88 dollars. They finished "taking a look" into the car I decided to check elsewhere. I come to find out that now the car won't start.. so I look under the hood an they completely undid the wiring for the batter "to start the car" and didn't bother to tell me what they had done, nor offer to assistance in helping me get the battery cable reconnected "as it was" when I drove it in. It took me a little over an hour to finally get it running and decided to look up this part that the rep had mention... as I checked and DOUBLED CHECKED. That part only ran between 7-8 dollars.. so they wanted to charge me between 80 up to 1,000 for some "cable" where as I found it for as low as 7 dollars. Plus the undid the wiring for the battery as well an did not bother to fix what they had undone.. at the end of the day.. I'M GLAD I DID NOT HAVE THEIR OVER PRICED SERVICE.

Mr Evans, you were told you needed a wiring harness. You did not want to spend the money to fix the truck correctly. You asked to keep the diagnostic charges at a minimum and to keep it at a minimum you told us you were ok with us working on it between other vehicles. Since you did not want to buy the new wiring harness as we suggested, your only option was to buy a used one at the wrecking yard. You had also already disassembled the dash before you came to our shop which makes our job more difficult. The actual dates your truck was at our shop was October 19th until November 21st. That doesn't look like 3 months to me.

Today when Discount tire on 82nd and universitytold me I needed a new tire because it had a big slice inside the tire , I called Irven at Daltons and he said they would take a look at it. He had a service technician on it fast and it was a very tiny hole that could be patched. Very nice to do business with honest people. I will be back !!

So far it's taken them exactly 24 hours (kept overnight) to tell me my coolant was low. Something I told them going in and something even Walmart would be able to detect. I've had to call them for every update only to find out "they're just about to find out"

Okay, took my car in because the AC wasn't cooling. Cost $170 for Freon and dye. Couple of months later, stopped cooling again. This time it's $750 for a whole new system. Drove the car a couple of miles down the road, and it's blowing hot air. Took it straight back, and apparently there was a "leaky O-ring". Two weeks later, it started blowing hot air again. I've spent $930 and have been in FOUR times so far....and the last time I went it, the manager says "oh, good lord" and rolls his eyes when I tell him it's not cooling. I'll NEVER EVER EVER go there again.

Reasonable and honest mechanic shop. They quote you a price and get it done for what they say. Extremely fast, most repairs are completed the day you take it. I'll continue to use them and tell others.
