I have stayed at this property several times over the years. Unlike most hotels that get run down as they age, this one has only gotten better. My recent stay was a one night stay passing through. I cannot say enough about the front desk agent that served us the most, Ethan. He got my name during check-in and used it in every encounter, really made me feel like I was appreciated. A good desk agent will offer polite small talk during check-in but Ethan s was genuine while remaining professional. I m Titanium Elite with Marriott have stayed over 1000 nights at Marriott properties around the world and Ethan is probably the best I ve ever met. I hope Marriott can hold on to him and offer him a long career with growth opportunities. When I stayed at this property before there were repairs and updates in progress. It appeared most of those had been completed. The lobby is modern and nice and the rooms are updated and clean. The location is great, easy access to freeways and there s a large selection of restaurants within walking distance we walked to Cheddars at Ethan s (front desk agent) suggest and it was superb. Good prices and very good food.

The front desk and patrons of the Fairfield have complained numerous times about the constant clanging of the Courtyard s flagpole halyard. I am in town multiple times throughout the year and this still has not been fixed. This occurs all day. The front desk at the Courtyard is less than helpful. Please fix your flagpole.

Days before asking about booking the receptionist gave attitude. When I arrived the gentlemen was very kind and sincere, and I liked the Spin the Wheel feature. The rooms was well prepared and everything I expected. The pool had a few dead bugs near, not too thrilled about that. I was a bit disappointed about the breakfast, I had hoped for more options.

Spent the week at this hotel and had a good experience overall. It s located in a good and safe location, within walking distance from various restaurants and a Walmart. The staff is very friendly and professional, and the rooms are very comfortable. It s a perfect option for both single and group trips. The driveway and parking lot require some maintenance but nothing not a big problem. I ll definitely consider it again for future visits.Nearby activities: There are a lot of food options in the area. It s also not too far from the university campus and other modern outlets/malls (~ 5-10 min drive)Safety: The hotel is located in a safe neighborhood.Walkability: The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and stores.Noteworthy details: I commend the staff on their friendliness and hospitality.

I arrived wayyyy earlier than a typical check in time due to a last minute conference call being added to my schedule. I asked Kenzie if I could take the call in the lobby but, much to my surprise she said they already had a room I could use!! She was super helpful and I could tell she was hurrying as fast as she could to make sure I could get up to the room in time for my call. Her smile and positive attitude definitely relieved that last minute stress of trying to figure out where to do this zoom call and not bother others around me. I stay here once a month and will continue to with customer service like this. Thank you Kenzie!!

Looks like this site needs a little love and attention. Switched to this hotel because it had a restaurant in it and a hot tub, both of which were not operational when I was there, which was disappointing. Slept great, nice and helpful people at the front desk, coffee service in room could also use attention as it tasted awful. The sign on the building was not completely lit on either side, huge potholes in the parking lot and their back patio had so much pigeon poo it was hard to find a place to sit. Otherwise the patio would have been a lovely place to hang out.

I had called to make two reservations: one for me and one for the person accompanying me. I was assured that the other person would be able to pay for her room and I would pay for mine. I would NOT be charged for both rooms. At check in (on 21 Dec 2022), I again explained that we were paying separately. My friend showed her credit card to the front desk clerk. At check out, she again showed her credit card to the desk clerk. Now, I see that MY credit card was charged for both rooms. It will be difficult (if not impossible) for me to recoup the charge for her room.I discussed this with your front desk clerk today. He explained that it was a front desk clerk's error.NOT typical of a first-class hotel!

The room was not secured because the sliding door was not locked and the house keepers apparently didn't check it. Then room service did not respect the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and entered the room. Received a call asking if we were staying another night and had to inform them we were checking out on Saturday. Pool and hot tub were great.

Very friendly staff . Greeted us every single time they saw us come and go I thought that was very nice. The lady working the breakfast in the mornings was a delight as well. Our room was very clean the sheets were fresh and I never saw any bugs I didn t have any issues at all and enjoyed my stay. It looks very updated and we had a blast at the pool . Highly recommend and definitely will be back when visiting again.

ASSISTANT MANAGER MARIA RODRIGUEZ AND FRONT DESK CLERK KENZIE MARMOLEJO are the absolute rudest people/employees I have ever encountered at any hotel I have ever stayed with. We are Titanium Members of Marriott and Kenzie had the worst attitude and was speaking inappropriately to me in the lobby when I asked her a simple question about a $10.00 gift card. Kenzie was also extremely rude to me and my daughter when we checked in the day before but I let it go. I complained to another member at the front desk and they called Maria on the phone and Maria had a screaming kid in the background that I could hear through the phone. I hung up on her because she was talking so inappropriately to me. She kept calling my hotel room numerous times and was harassing me over the phone. She constantly interrupted me when I was trying to explain what happened but she was obnoxious and very overbearing screaming and yelling at me over the phone. MARIA was NOT even on site at the hotel when Kenzie yelled at me at the front desk and accused me of yelling when that did NOT happen. This was beyond inappropriate and we will be contacting tomorrow the CEO of the Marriott Hotel Division. The hotel is very run down, the towels are dingy and thin, elevator was not working, spa was shut down, no complimentary breakfast is offered like other Marriott's and this area of town is not the best area of Lubbock. We moved to another hotel and the hotel and the staff were great. Maria threatened to kick us out (when we did absolutely NOTHING WRONG) and call the police but I hung up on her obnoxious attitude once again and we moved to another hotel at 9:30 PM on the night before Easter. Maria and Kenzie should be FIRED for their atrocious behavior. They both are NOT how any employee should treat a customer!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SORRY EXCUSE OF A HOTEL!!! Marriott should be embarrassed they have these two representing their hotel. These two staff members deserve MINUS ZERO STARS!!!

Very friendly staff, a/c worked great, hot water for shower. Bed was comfortable and quiet stay.Breakfast is not included, expensive. Pigeons prevent you from using the balcony but staff stated they work hard to try to eliminate this.

It doesn t look promising from the outside, but the inside is newly renovated including all of the rooms. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. HBO and Netflix were included on a good size TV. Price was good. Checkout wasn t until noon which was nice, and the staff were all incredibly friendly. This is especially impressive considering I checked in at 2 AM. Overall, a great choice at a great price.

Loud neighbors upstairs late last night, called front desk multiple times to only get the option for me to move my family in the middle of the night because the hotel won t deal with the noisy neighbors. The bed was uncomfortable which is not like other Courtyards I have stayed at, just an overall bad experience and wish we would ve stayed at another hotel.

Great hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, a little dated but nicely updated decor. Bistro has good food. Just know that there is no free breakfast, you have to purchase breakfast from the bistro downstairs. Overall a good stay!

We were at a TownePlace Suite about three exit west of this Courtyard, and that hotel was really old and dirty. I had to cancel out second night and move to this Marriott. After reading some reviews indicating this hotel is under renovation, I decided to take my chances to move here.I was happy that I made the right decision to move here, the room was completely renovated and it was nice and clean. There was some minor renovation on first floor at swimming pool and hallway, that doesn't bother me at all.Next time we will be back again!

Everything was great and I'd definitely recommend others to stay here. I took a star off because the bathroom was a bit small and we had a misunderstanding with the maintenance man that had to do with our service dogs. However, the front desk attendees were very knowledgeable and handled it promptly and professionally.

I always enjoy my stays here. The Bistro has just opened for breakfast and it is pretty good. The property is nestled behind some pretty good restaurants off of Loop 289...this being said, Uber had no issues in picking me up for rides and for food delivery.

We stayed over New Years weekend and all of the staff were extremely accommodating. Their bistro was close but they were great at notifying guests of the closure. Despite being closed, two of their employees still made us coffee from Starbucks. They called after check-in and made sure our room was ok. Indoor hot tub was great. Rooms were clean and had a nice big balcony. Highly recommend staying here.

The bed and accommodations were nice. The staff was friendly upon arrival and departure. However the bathroom floor was filthy. I didn't dare step on it. There was hair and grime all over. I was also disappointed that for the money we paid there was no continental breakfast offered. Also there were only two towels in the room for a double queen room which doesn't make sense since you would usually have 4 people in the room. We didn't get any more because we didn't have time.

I have had the best experiences at this hotel. It always helps to have an amazing staff. The rooms were clean, pool was spotless and great breakfast. I hope it is okay to add but they had an employee who worked the front desked named Omar he was so personable and made us feel welcomed ! Definitely come back next time stay in Lubbock !

I have stayed at this property previously while in town for business. It's been a little noisy in the past, but nothing like I experienced March 25 and March 26. I had the misfortune of being right next door to a group of drunk student athletes who were screaming in the parking lot, slamming doors and loud/obnoxious all night. I didn't sleep more than 2 hours. When I called to report the situation to management, I received nothing but the runaround. I've contacted them three separate times and been assured I would receive a refund for my 2nd night, which has never materialized. Terrible experience, terrible response by management and NEVER AGAIN.

Great location, clean rooms and friendly associates. One draw back was the small bath/shower a little tight for one person and there was an incident with a maintenance person with our service dogs. The front desk took care of the incident and we were good to go.

Great staff compliment this beautiful hotel. Omar and Victor went out of their way to make us feel at home. Great indoor pool is very relaxing. Centrally located. Rooms nicely appointed and fairly clean.

Have stayed two nights in this hotel due to being stranded in the huge snow storm this week. The hotel staff have bent over backwards to serve stranded travelers. They have been welcoming, warm and extremely helpful in a very difficult situation for the many guests that stayed unexpectedly in the hotel. It's been a true adventure. Fantastic service!
