Have John (who runs this location) go teach the owner of the Harmony/ Gilmer location what it means to run a business. John and his team do an excellent job every time I come in. I drove 30 minutes out of my way just to rent from his location so I didn t have to deal with the incompetence at the harmony location.Great service, knowledge, and clean well functioning rentals.

My truck was not raggedy and it was great on gas although it was expensive to refill, I only had to fill up once traveling from Baton Rouge to Longview.

Kristen and EJ was very rude. The kept cutting me off while I was talking and ignoring me. I asked them about my 44 free miles and they would not honor it at the time. I was originally set up to rent a truck in Tyler and had it reserved did not find out that U-Haul did not have the truck I needed like two days before. The Lafayette regional office reached out to me and stated that I could rent my truck in Longview and promised me 44 miles if I returned to the same location. Well I got to Longview and they did not want to honor it. This is not a great location. Need better customer service. They never smiled or greeted me.

My husband and I had a nightmare of a move and the kind staff at Longview UHaul and storage on Marshall made our nightmare practically disappear. They were helpful, compassionate, and professional. The manager went above and beyond for us. I cannot say enough good things about this location because every single person we encountered was consistently awesome to us.

My husband and I went to refill our propane tank and the lady was annoyed and rude. She said I don t have much left. We said ok whatever you have is fine. Then she says I need to take a break inside I ve been out here for an hour. Ok that s fine we will wait. She comes back this yank it expired . We drove to tractor supply and purchase a new one. We go back. She says it s lighting I can t do it it is 95 degrees SUNNY as can be not one drip of rain or even signs of rain. Yes!! she refuses to refill our tank. We are a family of 5 with three under age kids. We are out of power just needing to run our generator. Yet again she refuses to sell us propane. I hope she never finds herself in a situation like half of Longview is facing. Times likes is when we come together and help each other instead of this type of service.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! POOR EXECUTION FROM MANAGEMENT, UNRELIABLE SERVICE FROM THE STAFF.After having a scheduled pickup time with a prepared truck at 10am, only to receive text 90 minutes prior to our pickup time, we were told to drive all the way to Tyler with no extended time.They had two of the trucks we needed sitting out on the other side of the building. If there was nothing wrong with the truck, they wouldn t be sitting outside, they d be in the garage with two of the workers standing in there, who were doing nothing.

My experience over the last 45 years with this U-Haul location and overall I am very satisfied with their professionalism and their pricing. They're always making things easier and better. And less expensive.

This location has serious communication issues with the costumer.Had a hitch installation scheduled for a Thursday at 11am. When I showed up they informed me that the hitch hadn't been delivered yet and that it would be delivered on Friday and I would get a call when they have it.On Friday I never received a phone call. Never received a phone call on Saturday. Never received a phone call on Sunday. (On those days I had contacted costumer service a total of 4 times, where the messaged this location to contact me. They never did contact me after 4 attempts.)Late afternoon Sunday I Finally got a hold of someone at this location and asked them what was going on. They told me that the installation has been rescheduled to Monday. THEY NEVER EVEN CONTACTED ME TO TELL ME THIS!! If i hadn't of called then I wouldn't of known this. I asked them why they never contacted me and they just stone walled me. They don't care any at all. got my money back

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a company's customer service.My calls to this location were always automatically forwarded to U-Haul's customer service who in turn would say I need to talk to the location. Then when they sent a message to the location to call me back I would not receive a call back.The general manager, David, is incompetent, rude, and unreachable.I had a U-box reservation that was guaranteed to arrive on Feb 11, 2019, however, they did not arrive until the 21st of Feb. U-box offers a $50 refund for every day your boxes are late. I had phone recordings proving that the location said they did not check in my boxes until the 21st. I spent three weeks trying to reach the manager of the location in order to get the owed credit. David, the manager, lied to U-Haul saying he was in contact with me, that my U-boxes were not late, and the issue was resolved.On the 1st of march, I was then charged storage fees even though, again, I had phone recordings proving that David said I wouldn't be charged until the 21st of march.Lastly, they tried to charge me $100 dollars to empty my U-Boxes.These people are uncommunicative, they are incompetent, and they will steal your money. Then they will make it seem like they are doing you a favor when they give you your refunds after you have spent weeks on the phone trying to get them.I would not not recommend this location or U-haul in general. If you end up using them be sure to keep all your quotes, receipts, and request all phone recordings. Also, block off time to actually visit the location personally because that is the only way you will be able to reach the manager. That is, if he is even there because half the time he is not.

First experience 2 days ago was good but not this one. They charged me over mileage using the mileage they had in the system. When I picked up the rental I disputed the mileage and updated the mileage with a photo. 30 minutes waiting on the phone and no response with online chat after 40ish minutes.

Very unhappy with service here. I reserved u-boxes on a trailer online, then personally went by to confirm, and did so. When I showed up to pick up, they said my order had been changed from Saturday to Monday, without contacting me. I had no way to get them on Monday! My son drove 300 miles to come in and help me on Saturday. After waiting in the store for about an hour, they decided they would deliver them for free on Monday. They would drop them off at my house, but I would have to pay to have them moved to the new house. I was reserving them for a month, but after asking more questions, I found out the trailer could not stay and I still would have no way to get them from my old house to the new one. Overall, I did not get what I reserved, was promised, and confirmed! I cancelled the order and will not be dealing with this location again! I had to choose one star to be able to post this! I give them zero!

My Christmas items were in storage for almost a year. Never filled up, I have been collecting nut crackers for over 20 years, as I unpacked my Christmas decorations, someone, those kids down there running the place stole Mt decors,wh I? Please don't put your values things in there.

Great place to drop off your UHaul in East Texas.Return was indoors which was important in the Texas summer heat. Dot checked the truck in and was friendly and quick. My UHaul experience could not have gone easier or better.

I will never rent from here again. The online 24/7 rental does not work. After standing in the parking lot for an hour I had to go inside and start the process over again. Horrible experience. The only thing that was good was the drop off. Quick and easy. Just wish the pick up was the same.

I was so impressed that Uhaul was open today after last night's tornado! We walked in and they were operating off one small generator with one light shining on the wall and just one laptop. People began to pour in, but the staff remained kind and friendly under what I can only imagine is a very stressful time for them. We got our rental as quickly as possible. David helped us and was great! We are so thankful for this location and staff for being here today!

Worst Experience Ever!!!I called Sunday (6/24) to schedule getting a hitch on my car and to rent a trailer. The man takes down all my information include my credit card information and says I am all set for Saturday (6/30) at 9:30am. Friday (6/29) another man from the location calls me to verify the time I am picking up the trailer. I told him I would be ready for the trailer after I get the hitch installed. They never put in the request for my hitch or to order the parts and they do not have the parts ready for me to get a hitch to tow a trailer. That man said he would call around and see if he could get the parts today and would call me back...3 hours later I am calling UHaul again because they have not notified me if they got the parts. I had to reexplain my whole situation to this new man, because their store lacks communication. This new man I was talking to stated that the only thing they could do is rent me out a $700 truck and a tow hitch to tow my car, when my original cost was supposed to be $400.They had no sympathy for their employees mistakes (not scheduling the appointment and installation and not returning my phone call). I ended up crying on the phone and having them cancel my trailer. I will never do service with this organization again.

Went to return a trailer 5 minutes before closing time, the employees had already locked the door and would not even give me the curtesy of answering my question if I could just leave the trailer there. Just kept waving me away. Total lack of customer service.

Uhaul Rep., Cody, or his Manager should be reprimanded for refusing to rent trucks to customers going out of town. Initially we informed Cody On Friday that we were moving to Irving on Saturday and asked about dropping off truck in Irving area. He said he didn't have enough trucks available for that service so we said we would bring it back. Cody responded that he could not rent to us because previous customers had lied about returning equipment to same site and left the rental at another site. After we walked out of their office frustrated and disappointed, we reserved a truck online for the following day. When we returned on Saturday we waited for several minutes to speak to a rep, an older rep was helping a young lady who was considering downgrading from 20' to 17'. She was told by the older rep. that they had a 17' foot available. While waiting Cody entered office and proceeded to assist us with reservation. He recognized us and informed us that they did not have our reservation and no 17' truck available. I said that's a lie because of what we had just overheard...He said we were giving him a hard time and he left to consult with his Manager. Afterwards he returned and said we could take the truck and drop it off in Irving. We said we had already made plans to return so we paid extra and returned the truck to same site today. Also we did not get the utility dolly we reserved. The truck had a regular dolly. The manager reduced our amount for the dolly when we returned the truck today...this was about the only courtesy we received. Thanks for making our moving experience even more difficult than it had to be.

They did a great job...but when returning and getting your credit messes the clerk up! Still checking on that credit...don't understand why it takes so long. Where I worked a credit is credited on same day...not 3 to 5 business days later.

I had a unique experience with my ubox. It got delayed in transit out in Ft Worth and the GM drove all the way to FT Worth and brought it to me around midnight. Brittany with the ubox department was exceptionally helpful as well. This was a very difficult time for me and my family as we had a death in the family a few days ago.

Young guy is very rude, is not at all knowledgeable on propane tanks. I can assure you of two things and one for sure. Would not have him as an employee he doesn't know how to conduct himself around customers cause he thinks he knows it all and its obvious thats not the case. I would recommend you getting propane anywhere else. Lost my business

My truck was due back Sunday August 12th, I turned it in Saturday night August 11th. They have been calling me since Sunday saying that they never received the truck back. I called to check the status of tgem finding the truck just to get a rude guy that hung up on me and didn't have the decency to explain anything to me. I will never use this location again as a drop off or pick up.

For some reason they have upstairs and down stairs storage units with no elevators. What happened to easy access UHAUL? The csr was upset when I said something about the unit not being satisfactory! How can I easily move my big heavy furniture by my self up a flight of stairs? Let s not mention the wait was ridiculous and her attitude unacceptable to say the least.

Rented from them yesterday and Kristin was extremely helpful and would recommend this location to anyone needing a rental in Longview. We had to call back while traveling and she was extremely helpful.
