This is my business that I started a little over 10yrs ago. I am not a big fan of social media. Being in business you can t make everyone happy. You put air in my tire and now my a/c doesn t work. We see on average 10-15 cars a week. People don t want to have vehicle problems and aren t happy about it when they break down. On most occasions we have them in and out with out any hiccups . So when that one that leaves a review that s not happy whether it s something else related or just an over site on our part that can usually be remedied easily it really makes a business look bad. Just remember there are always 2 sides to every story. If you just communicate with us we will work with you. We really don t want your vehicle here broke down as much as you. We really want you in and out and back on the road. Thank everyone for being loyal customers and future ones to come.

I had shared earlier that my car had been repaired but my engine cover had been broken while in their hands and I realize now that I should have contacted them directly. Because they saw my post and replaced the engine cover. Thank you so much for your top notch customer service!

I have had multiple things fixed at Rods & Wrenches. Finally an honest mechanic! I looked on the internet for the amount hours required for the repair I needed. I get to the shop to pay him and he tells me "It would cost you xxxx price usually but, since I know a trick to get it done way faster, I'm only going to charge you how long it took me." Who does that!?!?! I have never left a review in my life but with such honesty and integrity i felt i had to. I have dealt with them 4 times, everytime fair and quality work. I will never go anywhere else and am referring anyone I know that needs repairs to him. 5 stars easy.

Had my truck stolen from their lot, with the keys left inside the vehicle. Oh well things happen right ? All I asked was to be reimbursed for my deductible. I m still waiting! Always given the run around when I call. Save yourself the headache, these guys will put you on ignore if things go the least bit wrong.

My wife and I experienced a negative experience with this business! The owner, Mr. Jeremiah WITT, demonstrated a dishonest, uncaring, unprofessional, and deceitful operation! Since my job stationed me out of Texas on assignment, I initially performed online research and instructed my wife to take her car to this auto mechanic. The repair, which I was knowledgeable about, involved the simple "remove and replace with the new part" to fix her car. I even provided Rods & Wrenches Garage with a YouTube video that thoroughly showed and explained how to perform the simple repair. Mr. Witt and/or his mechanic took an unreasonable 5 WEEKS to perform this simple service! During this lengthy time, they proved their incompetence and dishonesty by talking to me on the phone about how the business was overwhelmed with other customers, only to be disproved by my wife who drove by the business to dispute what I was being told on the phone. When I called again, I was told then that the delay was caused by them installing three (3) separate aftermarket parts that had been determined to be defective, which was causing the lengthy delay in their repair. When asked why he wasn't installing the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) part, he sarcastically replied, "no need!" The car was returned to my wife UNREPAIRED; all the warning lights were now illuminated on the dashboard instrument panel. When she immediately brought this to his attention Mr. Witt denied causing this additional problem and refused to accept the return of the car! She asked why he and/or the mechanic had rummaged through her items in her vehicle, and they lied about that as well! This incident demonstrated a dishonest business operation! I would not want anyone to experience what my wife had to personally endure, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this business to anyone. We immediately made an appointment with Keating Honda dealership in Conroe, (who I highly recommend) who competently and efficiently performed the repair the same day of her appointment, including the additional repair of the damage caused to the dashboard by Mr. WITT and/or his mechanic! My lawyer is compiling a formal letter to be submitted to Mr. WITT, owner of Rods & Wrenches Garage to pursue a formal complaint with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to recoup our money! SHAME ON YOU JEREMIAH WITT, OWNER OF RODS & WRENCHES GARAGE! And please, sir, don't try to refute this negative rating by trying to refuse responsibility by placing blame on your mechanic employee!

Great work done on my truck. Jeremy took the time to explain what was going on with my truck. Got the items taken care of and very pleased with the outcome. Highly recommend this shop for repairs!! Thumbs Ups!!2/22/2024, Visited the shop for a front/rear brake job on my truck. After removing the brake pads they showed me the pads were still in good shape and recommended not to replace. That showed great honesty & integrity to me. I highly recommend this shop for your repairs.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Got my AC fixed and within 2 month or less something made it stop blowing air and I was under the impression it was under warranty I just wanted my air to work but conclusion air didn't last much and wasn't covered by the "Warranty" so another waste of money and my vehicles air never worked properly supposedly it was something else.

Rods and Wrenches took great care of my rare 68 Corvette when I couldn't diagnose the issue. They arranged for towing, waited for he car to get there, stored it indoor, and fixed the problem within a reasonable time at a reasonable price. I could not have asked for more on my first time to use this garage. They have a new permanent customer.

Driving my truck home on the freeway from work after they did a 4 wheel brake job and the right rear tire was nearly about to fall off because they didn't tighten up the lug nuts, thanks to GOD though it didn't come off and kill me!!

These guys are angels in disguise! I cannot say enough good things! While driving from IL to Houston to see our new grandson, we hit some road debris and punctured our gas tank. After an irritating visit at the Chevy dealer, we went to Rods & Wrenches. They were able to put in a used tank on the spot. Staying late to do it. At first one guy was going to do it and it would take 3-4 hours. But several of the guys stayed and got it done in about an hour! They truly were our angels, saving our trip! I would highly recommend them. They were pleasant to deal with and tried to make us and our dog comfortable while we were waiting.

Steer away from this place at all cost... I spent alot of money here to have my car fixed only for the problem to get worse... I brought the car to my neighbor only for him to find out that they never did the work I had asked them to do

If you need someone you can trust this is the place to go. Service was fast and friendly. But best of all I wasn't taken advantage of. I will definitely go back!

We have taken our two vehicles there. Both times they give us a date and time to bring them in (like a doctor's appointment). They get them done in a short time and not costing an arm and leg to do it. Have referred them to several friends and neighborsn and will keep referring them!

They were able to find the problem that no one could find and stopped my sisters misfire plus they fixed everything wrench works didnt do correctly on our engine replace saved us some about 20 headaches!

So I took a truck to "Rods and Wrenches" in Livingston back in March for a/c work. It's was $1251. Three months later I take an exact identical truck for same a/c repair and it's $2100. Then they tell me they don't take checks anymore so I have to use credit card. Now they are CHARGING me $83 to pay by credit card. I highly do NOT recommend this shop.Service: A/C installation & repair

Original review was a 2. They got my brakes working correctly. Maybe we can get the ac system they worked on right now. Everything I've had worked on here has had to go back several times to get it right. They seem honest.

If you need a tune up I'm sure there great, I wouldn't have them try to trouble shoot any major issues though you'll just get referred to YouTube when they can't figure out the issue. UPDATE I reached out Monday cause the code popped again on Friday the day after I picked it up. I stated the misfire code was back and i was told heat from my headers was causing pre detonation in the cylinder, when asked how do we fix that i was referred to youtube. The one thing I said after I dropped the jeep off was " I've checked everything else I'm pretty sure it's the fuel rail wiring loom can i get the wrung out" I don't believe it was ever looked at because that turned out to be the issue.

HIGHWAY ROBBERY. Told me my jeep was fixed and charged me $1300. When I got in the jeep it was throwing codes, some lights wouldn't work, and some electronics on the car wouldn't work. All of that was working when the jeep was dropped off and when I asked the guy behind the counter if they would look at it he got an attitude. I left it there for them to look at but almost 3 months there and I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't touch it after I left. Won't be going back.

The BEST, most AMAZING people. My car broke down half way to Galveston, still 2 - 3 hours left to go. Dustin arranged a ride for me all the way to Galveston, then he picked me up in Galveston and brought me back to Livingston a week later. AWESOME SERVICE!!! Really wonderful, caring people! Jeremy the mechanic, and his wife were so kind and helpful. And my car transmission was fixed great for a reasonable price! I'm so grateful.Service: Transmission

We recently took our 2010 Toyota Prius in to Rods & Wrenches for an ABS System warning light, which required the replacement of the master cylinder booster and brake accumulator assemblies. We had done our homework before bringing the car in so we knew it required these items to fix it. Dustin was extremely helpful in arranging the work and answering all our questions. They did the job using Toyota OEM parts for a fair price in a reasonable amount of time. They also went above and beyond and replaced/exchanged our cranking battery (still in warranty) at no extra charge since it was showing to have low amps. The braking system on our Prius is working great again and we are extremely happy! The service we received from Rods & Wrenches Garage was excellent and we will not hesitate to bring any of our vehicles to them in the future for all of our automotive service needs.Service: Auto brake repair

I can not say enough about this place. Great customer service, quick service, amazing prices, thoughtful staff! We were passi ng through and truck started running hot! Was recommended to this garage from a guy at grease monkey and am glad I went. They were able to replace a squeaky belt and get me back on the road in no time. They also are very reasonably priced.

I went in with concerns about my car air conditioner. I was worried it might run low on freon. They tested it and said it was good. Did not charge me a penny. I'll be going back when needed. 4 stars
