I came to this location about 2 weeks ago and had called this location prior to arriving asking how long it would be for me to get in and get my oil changed, the lady Imani advised me it would be a 10-15 minute wait. I got there in 4 minutes after that conversation as I was just around the corner. Now when I first arrived I waited 10minutes in my car just to be greeted. I actually waited a total of 50minutes before they even got to my car. Let alone the oil change was quick and I was able to leave. Upon checking the paperwork not only did they spell my name wrong even after spelling it for the young man phonetically, they also said they checked my tire pressure and it was a psi of 35 which was a lie as my tires pressure ranges for all 4 was between 31-33psi, so how did you get 35? That s weird, they also stated that they reset my oil service light indicator which was also a lie as I had to reset it myself. Get it together Valvoline, next time I ll do better off spending 2-3 hours at my car dealership to get my oil changed, at least there I know they will actually check my tire pressure, reset my indication and at least wash my car too for $60 cheaper. Trust the reviews you read for this location, go somewhere else. You are better off!

To say I m disappointed would be an extreme understatement. I should have known better after my first time visiting, where I had to return twice just for them to properly secure my skid plate again. However, I saw a coupon online for the oil change + inspection, so I thought I would give them another try to save money.BOY WAS I WRONG.I was charged THREE times. My total was supposed to be $154.15, but they charged me the incorrect amount TWICE and blamed it on my bank, saying that the purchase didn t go through. I called my bank right there, and on speakerphone the bank even said that the purchase went through and I would need to report their fraudulent charges.There was no manager in sight at 4pm on a Friday, it seemed like it was just the very young workers left to deal with it on their own. I was essentially told that I was on my own with getting this sorted out, which I completely believed. I ended up spending nearly two hours of my day yesterday (not counting the wait which was 15 minutes tops) going back and forth with my bank, the staff, and them calling who I assume to be their accounts department or management, whoever it was ended up being ZERO help.I work multiple jobs, so trying to get ahold of their corporate customer care while working was not how I wanted to spend my Saturday. While the customer care department was polite, I find it absurd that they couldn t have just refunded me the difference of what they overcharged me. Instead, they took ANOTHER $154.15 out of my bank account. If it weren t for a quick loan from my family, I would be dealing with overdraft charges as well. I ll provide a screenshot of my bank charges.And for the icing on the cake? After the payment situation was resolved at the store, the techs decided that it would be wise to rush through the rest of my service. This meant they did not even bother to secure my skid plate. AGAIN. I don t even want to go back, so my boyfriend and I ended up getting underneath my car and securing it ourselves on my lunch break today. I ll attach a photo of my damaged skid plate that I took after my two hour stay at Valvoline.Needless to say, I will not be back, nor do I recommend anyone taking their vehicle here for any reason. I had JUST left the walmart tire center for a new tire and I m kicking myself for not having them just do the oil change at the same time. Their staff were not only polite, but also prompt, knowledgeable, and verified everything before charging me the CORRECT AMOUNT the first time.As for management reading this, I have already sent an email, did two live chats, and had a phone call, so I have a reference number. I request that I get my money back as fast as you were to charge me three times.

I used to really enjoy this Valvoline location but it s been slowly going downhill over the past year. I went in to get a oil change and inspection at 10:20 am, there was only one other car there at the time and looked like there were 3 employees. I pulled in and they said they could do the oil change but not the inspection until 11:00 because they are short staffed. This was a little confusing because there was no one else in line and the guy helping me said he was the inspector. They didn t check my tires or lights like they used to, not a huge problem to me just something they used to do that they don t do anymore. By the time they finished the oil it was 10:40, and they said to come back at 11 for the inspection while there was still no one in line behind me. I went somewhere else for the inspection, and will not return to this location after this experience and reading other recent reviews.

Got oil change > days later car is leaking oil > return and say my drain plug is leaking oil > am told I need to see a mechanic because that wouldn t have been them because that s not something they touch.I must Look like I was Born yesterday or something. Lord help these people. How the heck do you change my oil without touching my drain plug?I gave Them a chance to remedy their error and instead they turned me away because they didn t want to do the work? Because they didn t want to take responsibility? How would the guy that checked my leak know what the guy that changed my oil did or didn t do?Save yourself the trouble incase they cause you a problem too and they refuse to fix it.Now I ve got to go get a second oil change to have someone else fix this mess.Thanks Valvoline

Good guys that work there no issue with that. The issue is 198.99 for an oil change and a set of wipers . WTH!!! No refill on the wiper fluid no air pressure check on tires no coffee and donuts. For that price should have donuts and coffe and a massage chair it s inanely priced for so little.

Showed up at 6 to get an oil change, 1 hour before close. They turned me away because they didn t have the information to do an oil change on my new car (2023 Kia Seltos). Called the other Valvoline in McKinney and they said to come on over and they were 100% able to do it. The lady on the phone said the other Valvoline was just trying to close early. I manage a restaurant in the area and will be telling my drivers not to go to this Valvoline. Absolutely ridiculous customer service and taking advantage of a girl.

I would like to start off that the employees are friendly and communicative. My complaint is that quality of work performed. I got an oil change for my car and everything was fine but there s was hints that they aren t fully trained from what I saw. The metal rod they use as a secondary measure to prop the hood fell and may have landed on the bumper/fender/engine bay. Also, the technician was having issues putting back my engine cover. Anyways, I had left and parked near the Kroger next to it and check my car. The hood, fender and bumper is very dirty due to the oil marks from the technicians gloves. I opened the hood and the engine cover was misaligned. Simple details like this makes me questions the quality of work done like if the proper oil and quality was put in my car or if the oil was drained completely and if the filter was replaced. Definitely will not come back here.

Took my car in on Monday for a routine oil change. Car drove home fine. Tried to leave for a road trip today and my car was lugging, stuttering, and billowing smoke. I had to get it towed to the dealership and the dealership told me there was double the oil in my vehicle. Either Valvoline didn t drain my old oil or they weren t paying attention and put in too much new oil. Either way it could have destroyed my car. Will NEVER be going back here and I highly recommend you avoid at all costs. They cannot be trusted

Easy to mess up a simple oil change I guess. Had issues once I had i left but, not right away. Going back to have them check it out went three times to get an inspection and today they said to come back and the inspector is not here again 12/10

Made me wait for 30 minutes while 4 of the 6 employees just stood around doing nothing. When I did get pulled into a bay I immediately got told oh sorry we don't have the oil filter. Customer service used to be amazing now it's abysmal. So took it to Walmart for half the price.

As a previous employee and customer, I would never recommend Valvoline to anybody . They are not customer friendly, employees are rude. 98% of the workers , do not do there job fully. They would rather stand around. You never genuinely see true team work. When I worked there they messed up on my car while giving it a oil change, tried fixing it through them several times. My car is still leaking oil.They are biased. I was wrongfully terminated. Never given a warning or a write up. Just fired me because ( a bunch of kids under the age of 22 made a false report) sayin I was supposedly Racist . Although , I never told anyone my personal business , so they wouldn't have known my family is a mixed race. They need to learn how to do thorough investigations and to fire based of proof.They allow under age people to smoke there .Just all around unprofessional. They don't take peoples complaints serious, unless they are fond of you. They pick and choose who they like and who they dont.They were so quick to fire me, they didnt even pay me properly. They dont respond professionally , or in a timely manner. I am still trying to figure out the rest of my pay and how or when I am going to get it.Service: Oil change

Very bad service I don t recommend anyone for them I took my Mercedes van sprinter for oil change take about 1 h and they don t know nothing about Mercedes and looking on YouTube to update the services. They added an excess oil more than the Max level. If you don t have experience about Mercedes it s easy you can say check another place from the beginning

Big shout out to Rafael who helped me with oil change service and inspection on a different occasion. Both times he was honest and polite with suggestions. Recently stopped by to get the oil change and after checking he informed that oil condition is still good so can ignore the engine light for another few more miles. He could have just very easily changed the oil change without me noticing but I was pleasantly impressed by the work ethic. Thanks.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

This particular location blows. Oil change was the most awkward experience I've had, ever. The kid lacked people skills and didn't do the 18point inspection that happens every time I come. He was on his personal phone for half the experience. Aside from that I also heard another tech, who looked to be working on his personal car, tell my tech he wasn't doing inspections when a car pulled into that bay. I've been here myself a couple times needing an inspection only to be told they didn't have anyone working to do it... Switching my loyalties to Brakes Plus moving forward.

I ve tried stopping by for a state inspection 5 different times and every time I was told their inspector isn t in yet and to try another day. After 5 different days of the same thing I gave up. Don t waste your time, go somewhere else.

0 stars. Failed an inspection because they thought they heard the brakes were bad while taking it for a one minute drive around the building. Not even sure this is legal. Will pursue having their inspection license revoked. Avoid this place.Update: here are pics of brakes you failed. More than 1/2 pads left. Complaint has been filed with the State.

TERRIBLE always someone leaving early with 2hrs left from the time they close and excuse why they can t do something. Did a BMW for me and put the oil filter on wrong and cost me an engine!!! AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

Just had another great experience here at Valvoline's Josey Lane's location in Lewisville. I was greeted and educated by Tony, the service manager. My vehicle was thoroughly checked as far as my turn signals back and front, my brake lights and headlights, and sure enough, my driver side, front turn signal, was out and needed an immediate replacement.I'm always looking to get a better deal, and I find that with the online coupons for synthetic oil along with being an Uber driver, I do receive adequate discounts and Superior Service at Valvoline. As the best seat in the house is always in my car, I always receive VIP service, which is always preferred, performed, and appreciated!

Stopped in for an oil change and they took me right away. Everything was easy peasy and they gave me $20 off for a coupon, even though I didn't have it. The only reason for four stars instead of five is because there wasn't anyone there who could do my state inspection. I had to drive to another business to get that done. The staff at Valvoline were friendly, courteous, and very helpful.Service: Oil change

Two experiences here. Months ago this location didn t have the filter for my car so I was told to go to another close by location. I get to that location and after waiting an hour in line, they didn t have it either. Went elsewhere. Sunday I dropped by at 3:50pm and they told me they were already cleaning up so I said no problem, I ll come back. I followed up and went in today and the cashier kept trying to upsell me, shortly after that I was told there was no filters for my car but to go down the road and try them. I wish they would at least confirm it s in stock elsewhere. this location just isn t the best in terms of hospitality.Service: Oil change

This was fast and easy and no pressure! I came in on a weeknight around 6:30 and was able to get my oil changed and state inspection done in about 25 minutes. Kevin and the team were efficient and friendly. I usually do my own oil changes and general car tune ups, so I also loved that they told me about other services they provide but put no pressure on me to buy right then. It feels like a kinder way to do business and probably speaks to their value if they are willing to let me go home to compare prices elsewhere. I will be back! Pro tip: check their website for a coupon before you head in!

I came here for an oil change today it cost me about $100. They dropped a piece in my car and had to look for it for like 10 maybe 15 minutes while I waited and then I don't think I checked my tires to air them up. I will probably go somewhere else next next time.

I asked for 10/30 weight, the put in 5/30. When I asked them to correct it they lectured me but gave in to fixing it. When I showed up, one kid told the other to drain the oil but not to change the oil filter. It made me realize the probably haven't been changing the oil filter all along. I dealt with the Manager Dalton who told the kid not to change my filter. I asked them to do it right...I should have known, I had just seen another customer speed off in a rage with the old draining out of their car onto the payment. The Service Tech said the customer got upset and drove off before they could finish their oil change!?!Worries me when EVERYTHING is the customers fault and you have a lot of customers complaining.

Man I thought I went to Valvoline not take 5 but hey here it is .Well I got my oil change back in October of 2022 when they had some manager by the names of dalton running their circus. So they changed my oil and in the process they stripped the drain plug and I drove all the way to Lubbock with my truck like not realizing it till I got there. So I called in immediately after realizing the problem. Anyways long story short. They have since then hired 3 other managers apparently the one there now is Tony and because the mechanic that came out to fix the screw up they did. And Didn t fix it the cheapest way now they can t reimburse me for the labor or parts because he didn t put a makeshift plug or oil pan saver and we would have per Tony to get my dodge ram 2500 Cummings diesel back home. Which by the way is 5+ hours away if they can t take responsibility for there screwups now what makes you think there going fix that blown engine that was caused due to there pan saver or oversized drain plug in my aluminum oil pan word of advice make sure they have somebody with experience working on your vehicle and make sure to take pictures before and after
