The folks at Frieze are the best! I have been bringing my old cars here for years and I always feel like I receive honest and professional service. They have no problem explaining what the problem is and offering options for repair if there are any.

My 2017 Chevrolet Malibu would not start. Lights came on but it would not turn over. I tried to jump it to no avail. I had the vehicle towed to Frieze Automotive because they had worked on a 2005 Honda Civic that I had owned a few years ago and I was very pleased with their work. They managed to start the car and reported that the battery was low. So they hooked it up to a charging system and then checked to make sure that the battery was holding its charge. Everything worked and I was called to come pick up the vehicle. When I asked how much I owed, I was told, No charge! I worked in retail automotive sales for 26 years. Every dealership I know of would have charged me a diagnostic charge. I will be bringing my vehicles to Frieze Automotive as long as I live here.

Probably the most trustworthy place I've been in Texas. Brought my Kia in after an oil change discovered an issue with the axel boot. I brought it in, and they took a look (free, though the dealership charged 215 to just look at it) and told me the same. They said they could do it, but it would probably cost more than if I just went to the dealership.This is the 4th or 5th time I've taken my vehicles here, and yet another example of legitimate trustworthiness while also being reasonably priced. They don't take appointments, so logistics is a pain, but I trust them, which is priceless.

Honest mechanics! They tell you the truth and nothing but the truth. I was told in Toyota of cedar park that my rear wheel was bent and that I needed to change it . They told me it will cost about $600 dollars including labor. When I came here I spent only $47 . My rear wheel wasn t bent , it was just the balance . I highly recommend this place!

I am from out of town and had a very short window to get my A/C fixed during the summer. Gregg and his team were incredibly kind and professional. They were willing to take my vehicle in the afternoon to be fixed same day. I feel like they moved mountains to help me. They even educated me on the issue to prevent similar situations in the future. Excellent service. Very kind and honest people.Service: A/C installation & repair

We've brought our cars in several times since moving to the area and always feel like we get great service. They will provide an honest diagnosis and a quote before doing any work and they will tell you if work doesn't need to be done. Additionally they do a great job of explaining the problem and parts work together. The prices are always reasonable and much lower when we've received quotes from other shops. If you need something done that their shop doesn't do, they have recommendations for where to go. This is definitely a place I would feel comfortable recommending to family.

I highly recommend this place. I brought my RV in for an engine mounted AC recharge and they had it done in a few hours. Thank you James for your professional attitude and taking on a job not too many mechanics would even consider. Keep up the good work!

My entire family uses this place and every single one of us has been impressed by the speed of the repairs and the lengths they are willing to go for loyalty.Their workplace is almost always packed so get in early if possible as it is first come, first serve; but I cannot overstate how they blend together a wonderful mix of professionalism and customer friendly business practices.My family and I will continue to use Frieze and encourage others to support this local business!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Oil change

Not happy with this place at all. Took my daughter s car in because it was misfiring. He charged us $550 and didn t fix the problem. We took it back and he pretty much told me he couldn t figure out the problem. Didn t offer money back for at least the labor. I understand parts cost but after seeing that the problem wasn t fixed he could have at least offered some money back. Or at least try fixing it! Hope this changes the way they do business in the future.

Fast. Friendly. Honest. Excellent auto service, especially if you are a dodge ram owner. I can't say enough about this amazing shop, they fixed my truck and discussed everything with me as we went thru the service. I will not be going anywhere else. The owner and his son obviously take pride in their work and have integrity that is rarely found anymore. This gem is located in Leander. Huge thank you to the Frieze Team. My little cousin and her college roommate drove all the way from New Mexico for a visit May 25th,2023. Well, somewhere around San Antonio the A/C died (insert horrifying scary music). Thursday afternoon before the holiday weekend, the guys at Frieze not only fixed the A/C but did it at a very fair college kid affordable price. Very appreciative, they repaired the vehicle so quickly, honestly and economically. They saved these girls' vacation but also made going to the mechanic a not so intimidating experience while learning a bit about proper regular maintenance.

My son's car broke down on his way to work today. We have our insurance roadside assistance tow the vehicle to this shop. It was recommended to me via our neighborhood facebook page. I am blown away by the service and friendliness of this shop. The owner was super helpful and the office manager was also fantastic. I cannot thank both of you enough for your amazing helpfulness today.

From the communication to the professionalism, to the more than fair price up to the family vibe you get walking in to the office-this place is beyond legit! My check engine came on and I came to this shop not knowing what to expect and what I got was honesty and value. Where other big city brick and mortar shops wanted to claim transmission problems without even wanting to run diagnostics on my truck, the owner himself stopped what he was doing, made time and did a proper inspection on a spot second notice. This establishment fixed my power to my engine problem and did so in about an hour!!! Stop going anywhere else to fix your vehicle because if you want one hell of a deal and an honest answer look no further than here. And yes, it s worth the drive!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I was having issues with my Teluride and called the Kia dealerships and they couldn t get me an appointment until weeks later. I didn t feel safe waiting that long so my husband looked on our church Facebook page and people were recommending Frieze so today I filled out their online contact request form. I was pleasantly surprised when I received an email from Rachel and when I called her she was very attentive, asked me questions to clarify and told me what they could do to help but also was very honest that I might have to go to the dealership too. I was able to bring my car right over the same day. Rachel was very welcoming and the other man I dealt with explained what was going on with words I could understand. Then because the issue might be corrected by just a reset of the computer stuff they didn t even charge me for anything. I ve never had such a wonderful experience at a mechanic. They are now for sure our go to for any car issues or oil change, etc.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

They were VERY helpful in getting my car a back to me before the weekend. Single mom out here with not any family, my car is so important. I appreciate the extra mile they took to get my starter replaced. Between the mechanic and the front office lady -- very good experience all the way around. They've helped me in the past as well - affordable (even though a starter is generally expensive) I know they gave the best price around. 100 Stars.

Excellent service, stopped in and the mechanic set me up with a lug nut (free of charge) assessed the vehicle and I was able to finish up a vehicle inspection down the road. He also provided clear, concise, and affordable quotes on future work, which I will have done at Frieze. Thank you and I am thankful to have an honest and highly competent mechanic in town for all of my families car needs.

I have known and used Gregg for many years, since about 2009... He has performed great service on whatever vehicles I bring him. He's got a really great girl working for him now called Rachel, and she has always called me back, even shuttles me back to the house (a 1/4 mile away) when I have no other transportation. The thing that strikes you about Gregg, is that, being a small business owner (like myself), I can tell that he not only KNOWS his stuff about cars (I'm a car guy myself), but even with that advanced knowledge, he doesn't use it to gouge you for additional repairs, even though he could. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the honesty and integrity that he offers, which provides me the peace of mind I need when dealing with the people that I'm paying for a service. I only wish the best for Frieze Automotive going forward!

I have been taking my cars to Frieze for a couple of years now. They have always been fair and upfront with me on all recommendations. And the owner has always been very honest when I ask him for alternatives.As a previous 1 star review pointed out, they do make an occasional diagnostic mistake, but they have always owned up to is as soon as it is discovered.Their prices are better than most shops I have checked out in the area. And the quality of work and turn around times have always been exceptional. All in all, I would highly recommend Frieze for anyone needing repair services in the Leander area.

I've used this company for several years and I absolutely love them. Gregg is an excellent mechanic and he has never done me wrong. He is a very honest mechanic and I trust him completely. Well always use him

Family recommendation after two previous bids for A/C work. Explained upon arrival that two other bids (Christian Brothers & Rush Automotive) were for a new A/C kit and replacement. Instead of assuming that was the issue, technicians spent quality time with our Honda, and determined the A/C kit did not need replacement, just the coil. This saved us $1,200.00. Honesty and integrity will keep me and my family coming back for years. Repeat business is the best business!! Thanks!!

I switched to Frieze automotive after having a frustrating experience with another mechanic. Greg was able to fix a problem within a day that the other mechanic had not been able to do after 3 different attempts .Very reasonably priced, personal attention, knowledgeable, and quick turnaround. Everything I look for in an auto mechanic!

What can you say about a guy that is usually the only mechanic in the shop? He is always busier than a 3 legged cat at the dog races. Gregg is very fair in his prices and only uses high end parts. We have used him for several years and only had to go back twice, once was my fault, should have done both cats at one time and the other one was one of his, no longer there, helpers did not tighten the emergency break cable properly and that created an issue. Gregg ended up doing a complete break job for no charge.We even had him replace the motor in a 2004 Monte, yes Mr. Chevy 5.7, it really was bad, and he was less expensive and even went with a 2005 Malibu motor with 20k fewer miles . . .Sadly some guy on his cell phone in a beamer knocked the front end off of it.
