Such an amazingly lovely RV park and absolutely the best southern hospitality you ll ever experience. We were there for the 2024 solar eclipse and the place was superbly clean even though it was at its max capacity. They offer tube rentals for cheap, great laundry facilities and showers and also have cabins to rent (we stayed in our RV). Large spots with grass at each, picnic table and all within a short walk to the river. We could not hear the river from our RV bc we were not river side and the river was low but it didn t lessen our enjoyment. Super friendly guests and staff. The river is not frio at all! In early April we were playing in it and the kids found a hole to swim in. Great playground area and acres of beautiful trees. Newly built buildings very clean and enjoyable. The whole area is Very serene and quiet and even at max capacity it felt empty (especially compared to where we are from in Southern CA). They even brought in BBQ for sale and live music to enjoy. I would highly recommend!

Just got our camper last week and stumbled across West Frio River Ranch for our first RV trip. Everyone was so kind and helpful and the property was so clean and well kept. A little slice of heaven for sure. We will be back!

We had our first stay at the West Frio River Ranch in mid August 2023. I have no doubt we will be back again before long.Located just south of Leakey, Texas on the West Bank of the Rio Frio, West Frio River Ranch offered a very nice 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin with a full kitchen, a back porch, and dedicated parking. Our cabin was clean and everything was in good working order. The grounds include ample access to the Rio Frio which, despite a record hot and dry summer, had more than enough, surprisingly cool, water to allow a satisfying dip in the shade of enormous trees growing along the riverbank.Shops and restaurants are just a five minute drive away in Leakey, Texas. The manager, Rebecca, was very friendly, and helpful. As I said, We ll be back!

This was our second time coming to this camp!! The first time we pulled our camper, and this time we stayed in the cabins. Camp grounds are within walking distance to the river you can also drive down if you prefer. Cabins are air conditioned, 2 bed 2 bath full kitchen (has all your kitchen needs utensils, cutting boards, toaster, kurig coffee pot, microwave and oven, dishes, pots and pans); sleeps about 6/7 people (1 king master, the other room has 2 queen beds and the couch has a pull out but also plenty of room for an air mattress) the owners are seriously the kindest people and super accommodating to any needs. They also have a camp ground with full hook ups if you have a camper. 100/10 recommend! Thank you Becca and Kaileigh for the awesome stay and being so accommodating!! We will be seeing y all again this summer!

If you're looking for a small yet big rv park with all the amenities and a great river, look no further. Wifi, trash, tube rental and shuttle service, full hookups, and great service and people, this is the place for you. Full laundry mat and bathroom/shower if you need. There are cabins for rent if you don't have a rv. The river is just a short drive down a maintained road with plenty of parking space so come down and park yourself in the river and enjoy west Frio Rv Park.

Gorgeous properties. We stayed at the lower property, which we can 100% certify is big-rig friendly. Their entrance is giant & spaces are wide. No stress when trying to get parked is definitely a plus for us. We also did the float from their property up the river back down to where we were staying. It was the first time we took our kids to float & it did not disappoint!

Beautiful property. The river way awesome. Unbelievable customer service. 50/30 amp, water and sewage at every site. Also, the sites are not on top of one another. The bathrooms were very clean! I recommend bringing your UTV, we wish we had ours to take it to the river vs the truck.

Awesome place to stay. I loved the full hookups and 50 amp service. The park is extremely clean and taken care of. The entry way into the park is beautiful. The restrooms were really nice and clean. The sites are pretty level which is nice. Didn't take long to level out our rig. We arrived late and the owner came over with their polaris to help put some extra light out so we could setup easier.

We love West Frio River Ranch! We have stayed at the boutique park the last 2 summers. There is plenty of room for our group of friends. The river access is so convenient and beautiful. The pavilion provides shade and a place for everyone to hang out. The owners are great! Amazing customer service.

Great experience and much needed seclusion. We have a bunch of friends/family so we booked the entire 13 RV spots. We utilized the kitchen and pavilion everyday and it provided much needed shade and was very organized and clean. Complete with a shower, bathroom, and anything needed to keep our big group fed and entertained. We enjoyed being the only ones at the camp, no one there to tell us to quiet down, since it was only us. The river access was absolutely great and included a wonderful waterfall for the kiddos. We had awesome privacy, until some people made the walk up the river and kinda messed up the vibe. Another downside, there weren t any 110 plugs at any of the sites only 50 amp plugs. On one of the nights, we had the water go out, but we called the owners and they had someone there within minutes and reset the breakers. Theres not shade in the 105 weather so A/Cs are constantly running. There was a concert on the other side, so we took the short drive over and we had a great time and enjoyed music and dancing.I can say, WFRR was absolutely fantastic, clean, and we be back as long as they will have us. Thank you for the great memories

Future guests beware! This business advertises that their Boutique park offers privacy on the river so that their guests will not be disturbed by others. This is absolutely false and a promise that they cannot legally make. We, along with another family, took our kids down the Frio to a tube chute that is along their property front. When we arrived we were quickly told by some WFRR guests in the river that we were not allowed to be there, that it is private property. We politely let them know that Texas waterways are open to the public. The guest continued to argue, so we went further upstream and to avoid a conflict.About an hour later we went with our kids to go down the chute. The same guests seemed welcoming this time and six people in our party went down the chute.Soon, the guests again began to tell those six that they had no right to be there, and that they paid a lot of money to have that part of the river to themselves. We again politely explained that Texas rivers are open to the public. They said they were going to call the game warden, and we said that would be fine. At this point, they started playing profane music, in an effort to make us mad and want to leave as all of our kids ranged from 10-14 years old.A while later I, and the other mom in our group, headed back to the top of the chute to tell our families how much time we had left on the river. This time we were met by representatives of the RV park and told that we must be in the river , but could not stand on the dry riverbed. We politely let them know that according to Texas law, the entire river bed in public property, even if part of it is currently dry. At this point the employees left. Probably because they knew we were correct. We were not trying to be disrespectful or difficult, but it was clear that this business must be advertising this as a private portion of the RIVER which is not possible. This is the only explanation that made any sense based on everyone s actions. We later looked up the WFRR s website and sure enough, they advertise this as Other folks won t intrude and your children will be safe playing under the giant cypress trees along the river bank. According to the Texas Parks & Wildlife: Along a navigable stream, the public may boat, fish, swim, camp, and in general carry on any legal activity. Public use must be confined to the stream bed and, to a limited extent, the banks

They let guests block the river from tube traffic. If you like Leakey for tubing, these owners don t care.
