I ve always had a normal experience at Honda, until yesterday. I took my car to get an oil change at the dealer yesterday morning at 8am, and everything went normal. They got it done in a good time and were friendly. I didn t use my vehicle until 9pm last night to go to work, on the drive I noticed a smell of oil but had no sensors or engine lights going off so I assumed it was maybe a little spilled oil causing the smell. Upon getting to work I popped the hood to just make sure everything was normal and as soon as I went to open it I felt something. The gas cap was left off, and sitting by the hood release. The whole engine bay has oil EVERYWHERE (see video and pictures) and the dipstick showed it was VERY low on oil. I have a 30 mile commute and I can t imagine how dangerous that drive was/could have been not to mention the concern I have as to the damage that could be done to my vehicle. I ve had to go try and find oil (getting rides from coworkers) for my vehicle at 1 am when most every store is closed, and now that I have put oil in when I let my foot off the gas my vehicle is making a clanking noise. I m now sitting here debating how I m going to deal with this situation, 30 miles away from the dealership and my home, and deciding if it s even safe to drive the car at all. Very disappointed, and upset that all of this is coming from what should have been just a simple oil change.

BUYER BEWARE!!! $12,000 MECHANICAL FAILURE!!! Bought a used 2012 less than 90 days ago, I was given a 100 day 5000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. 3 gaskets are leaking oil so I brought into service. Service is doing an outstanding job but sales has completely dropped the ball. They are now telling me, today 3/20/24, that I will have to pay $900+ for a housing gasket that sales does not want to cover under their warranty.I have bought several cars here and everything was great until sales management failed. This is completely UNSATISFACTORY and I will be contacting the BBB as well as local news to report this malpractice. Honda of clear lake you have lost trust and a lifetime customer.Buyers do not buy here if you desire honest business with your dealer. My wife and children planned on using this vehicle for school and soccer transportation. This is a very personal and important purchase that has now turned 100% garbage.

Outstanding Service by Lacie at Honda of Clear lake.I recently bought a used 2018 Civic Si and faced several service issues. Lacie provided exceptional assistance. She greeted me warmly, explained the process clearly, and kept me updated throughout. Lacie's proactive approach and dedication to solving additional issues were remarkable. Thanks to her expertise, my Civic is running smoothly. I highly recommend Lacie and Honda of Clear lake for their outstanding service!

My experience with Honda's CR-V Hybrid has been nothing short of a nightmare. I purchased the vehicle back in August with high hopes, only to be met with a series of disappointments and frustrations. The first incident occurred when the sunroof spontaneously busted while I was driving on the highway. Despite the fact that this happened on a sunny day and clearly indicated a manufacturer's defect, Honda refused to cover the repair costs, leaving me to foot the bill out-of-pocket.Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, three months later, my steering wheel started sticking, posing a serious safety hazard. Upon contacting Honda again, I was met with the same lack of assistance. They claimed they couldn't help me.In a last-ditch effort to resolve the situation, I inquired about a trade-in value for the car, hoping to at least recoup some of my losses. The manager initially assured me they would provide a value the next day, acknowledging the manufacturer error. However, to my dismay, they reneged on their promise, citing potential losses for the dealership. Now, I find myself stuck with a nonworking car that is not only unreliable but also dangerous to drive. Honda's failure to take responsibility for their faulty product and their unwillingness to provide adequate assistance or compensation is deeply disappointing and unacceptable. In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend Honda's CR-V or Honda as a company to anyone considering a purchase. The lack of accountability and customer support exhibited by the company is utterly disheartening, and I urge potential buyers to proceed with caution.Furthermore, it's deeply concerning that despite being aware of the problem and the potential safety hazards associated with the steering wheel issue among other issues Honda continues to sell cars off the lot without addressing or disclosing these critical issues to prospective buyers. This blatant disregard for consumer safety is alarming and further highlights the company's prioritization of profits over customer well-being. Proceeding with such disregard for safety is not only unethical but also puts countless lives at risk.

My experience was great. Lacie was incredibly helpful and explained everything that needed to be done to my vehicle, in a way I could understand. Rick was able to determine where my issues were coming from and now my car is running perfectly. I ll definitely bring my car here for any future repairs or maintenance

Thank you Justin H. (Sales) for showing us the pilot and going into so much detail about the pilot. Even though it was your 3rd day being there. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle we were looking. When it came to talking with a manager about price at first due to a miscommunication things started out not so good, but Anthony worked his magic and got it taken care of and yes there was some negotiations done but at the end of it we settled on everything.. and I'm ABSOLUTELY HAPPY AND LOVE MY PILOT!!! Thanks Anthony and Justin H. We will definitely be recommending ppl to Honda of Clear Lake!!

Update 2: Still no response from Harvey Bishop. DisappointedUpdate Post:General Manager Harvey Bishop responded to my post asking that I email him to discuss the situation further so I did just that. I sent him an email and waited a week for a response and did not receive anything. Again I sent out another email to Mr. Bishop and it s been another week with no reply. I am going to reach out one more time to see if I m able to get a response but I am doubtful I willOriginal Post:I m not one for leaving bad reviews, but the experience that I had with Sales person, Brian and his manager, Anthony was less than satisfactory. We were promised a 4% interest rate when my wife and her father went in to talk And then the next day when I m off work and able to go, Brian tells us the same thing that we are going to get a 4% interest at 72 months and he even had her sign a paper stating 4% Interest rate at 72 months. Well, after they run our credit with a hard credit check and we get down to signing papers they tell us 5.99% interest rate. Anthony somewhat tried Helping our predicament, but couldn t do much, and when I asked if I could speak to his higher up, he told us no and That s not going to happen . We tried negotiating with Anthony to see if we could get our monthly payment down lower, but he said nothing could be done and that we could either sign the papers or walk out. Miscommunication is one thing, but being lied to is just a big stab in the back and disrespectful. We ended up signing the papers because they already hurt our credit score and we couldn t get those points back. Had they had been honest we wouldn t have even gotten to the paper signing part. Honda is a good car but I wouldn t recommend going through Brian or Anthony to get one

Our salesman, Steven Bramlet, was great. He was VERY personable, patient and helpful with his knowledge and sales approach. I had another Honda dealer to visit, but after meeting Steven, my wife and I taken with his going out his way in helping us deciding which vehicle we needed and wanted, before and after the sale of our New Honda CR-V. I have purchased a number of new Honda vehicles from Honda of Clear Lake over the years and had been very much pleased with every one. Thanks Steve!John Monnat, HOUSTON, TX.

We are very happy with the service we received. We were given the approximate time when the car would be ready. The recall items were fixed and the timing was perfect. Our service agent was very professional and courteous. Kira had our loaner car ready for us when the car was being worked on. Great job. Thanks.

This happened when everyone had to wait weeks or months for a car to become available. I put a $500 deposit on a new civic and was told the wait for it was 2 weeks. Cool. After I left, I tried to contact the sales person for information on the car to get insurance. Couldn't get the guy to answer or he wasn't there. The car arrived on a weekday and salesguy called me to come get it. I told him I live far and would be able to pick it up on the coming Saturday. He tells me no, I need to pick it up today or they'll sell ot to someone else. So I have someone drive me almost 2 hours to the dealership. Salesman didn't even expect me to want to test drive. On the test drive i ask why it was important for me to buy it today instead of two days from now. Last day of the month and dude was trying to boost his sales. After the test drive, I found many wrappers, excess window tint that was cut while tinting the windows and other trash inside this brand new car. Also found fresh grease stains on the headliner. After telling him the issues of having to come up here today, not being able to contact him, and the trash found in the car he got upset. I told him that the walkout price needs to be heavily adjusted for all the bad service and trash found in the vehicle and he scoffed. I told him I want my $500 back and no longer want the car. He told me the deposit was non refundable. I said ok and started to walk out. He said let me get the manager. I spoke with both the manager and salesman and they offered to lower the price by $1000. I told them no, that the $1000 wasn't worth me not being able to contact anyone if I had issues with the car. Manager started a lecture about how I'd never find that car at this price. Don't care. I told them I would like to leave and then both of them stepped in front of me and started to try to lecture me about how I was a terrible person for not buying the car and wasting time. Then the salesman told me he had a list of people to sell the car to. I told dude he should stop wasting time and go grab that list. Because they had my back to a wall, I asked if I was being held here (I get that it's a little dramatic) and told them I'd like to leave. They stepped out of my way and I left. Be careful with this place. It's my opinion that the dealership doesn't care about you as a customer and only sees you as a paycheck. The $500 they kept was an expensive lesson I had to learn. Hopefully this review keeps anyone else from making a $500 mistake like I did.

I got my van here and loved the customer service I received, they were great...until it came to doing the maintenance here. I wasn't aware 3rd party warranty being canceled, then when I tried to ask how I could go about it. Several people were so very rude! I had my mom take my van and the way they spoke to her and then me when I called in regards to this... nope...never again I'd rather drive further out to another dealership to get my stuff done than right down the street. People matter guys...let's do better.

I purchased a car from this dealership on November 22, 2023 that I test drove with the salesman. Car ran fine and I also bought a 3rd party warranty that they offered. Within the next day or 2 the turn signal goes out and the tire light comes on. Not really thinking much of it, because it was a used car but it was quite annoying. Reach out to get the tire repaired and they were unable to assist. I ended up having to buy a new tire within the first days of buying this car. Couldn't find anyone to fix the turn signal. Next day or two the oil light comes on. Check the oil level. No oil in the car. Put oil in the car and move on. Next day or two car running rough, check the oil again - empty. What the heck is going on? Go to wash the windows, no wiper fluid. It's not even been 10 days of having the car. The part the really kills me is when the check engine light comes on. I haven't even made the first payment!!!! Call the warranty that they sold me / drop the car off / get a loaner car (that I have to pay for) / wait 2-3 weeks only to discover the warranty company does not want to pay for the broken part even though it's included in the warranty. So now I'm being offered to PAY for the repairs on a car I have hardly driven, paying insurance on, didn't have access to over the holidays, pay for the loaner and the payment is now due and now they are expecting me to pay for all of this at once. I do not want this car anymore. I will never do business with them again!

I came into the dealership while deciding whether to trade in my car for a new one or have the current one repaired. While there, one of the sales associate, Mr. Pickney, was very helpful when it came to considering a new purchase. Thanks to him, I later drove away from the dealership with a new car after trading my old one for a great price! And a huge thanks to the service staff for their help while I was making this decision; I didn't feel rushed at all and I appreciate that.

I purchased a FORD car from this dealer. However, within a week of the purchase, I experienced issues with the engine and battery. I also bought a third-party service contract and scheduled an appointment for inspection and repair. Unfortunately, the service center did not even inspect the car, claiming that they were not familiar with FORD cars. As a result, I had to take it to a FORD dealer for repair, which was not guaranteed.Unfortunately, six months later, I was informed that the engine coolant had failed and the engine needed to be replaced. It is disappointing that the dealer did not inspect the car before selling it to me and does not provide after-sales service.

This company uses bad business practice by deceiving customers into thinking they are getting a good deal. The salesman took my down payment of $2500 and only applied $1000 to down payment with very high interest rate. Also the finance manager made it seem like I had a one package warranty but signed me up for 4 different warranty agreements instead of combining them. I will never do business with this company again.

My husband's just purchased a truck on 1/22/24, when my son and husband test drove it with the salesman, truck was running fine, but the check engine light was on, salesman said they would get it fix. Before we bought it the light wasn't on anymore and we asked the salesman what was wrong with it and he said nothing to worry about that the truck was fine, on 2/10/24 the check engine light came on again and we took it to another shop and told us that the transmission is bad and the AC condenser is bad. Called the salesman to let him know what had happened and he said they couldn't do nothing about it, I've been asking for the report on what got fixed before I bought it since the check engine light was on but he hasn't emailed my husband. I'm thinking they knew about the transmission, AC wasn't working when we got the truck but we didn't notice until we had already purchased the truckest since it was really cold the day they test drove it, they didn't bother to turn it on. We only got one key and no key fob. It was our first time purchasing from this dealership, but I would never come back to this dealership again. I've never had a problem like this at other dealerships. I don't recommend this dealership to anyone.

Worst service experience ever. Happened with me twice. 1st time when happened that service advisor name Wayne Leith told me your car will be ready by tomorrow but was not ready. I was waiting for call but did not get any response So I called and then he told me your car is not ready and will be ready tomorrow. I let it go that time.2nd time same thing happened. He told me, my husband and dad that your car will be ready by tomorrow afternoon on 02/13/24. If additional service needed we will contact you. I said great. I was waiting for his response but did not get until 3pm on 02/13/24. So I called them and he told me that your car need additional service. I told me why did you not tell me that before and waiting for my call? He was shouting on me that whatever you need it ready but additional service need your approval. I told him you should send me email about the service that needed. He told me that I will send it to you right now. See how does I know my car needs additional service?I told him you supposed to call me regarding that and he was saying if you want your car come and grab it without additional service. He was being RUDE. This is his mistake that he did I not contact to his customer regarding additional service and when customer called he told this.

Description: We went last night, Honda of Clear Lake - 11/24/2023, to buy a car with our daughter. The salesman Brian, presented our offer to his manager. We have no idea what the manager's name is. He YELLED - NO!!! - very loudly. This is according to my daughter as I had stepped away to the ladies' room. After mulling it over, our daughter wanted to go back today. We were again prepared to purchase the vehicle and decided yesterday must have been a mistake or was misunderstood. But the lack of professionalism reappeared as the manager yelled again at the salesman. "NO" - AND THIS was a complete turn-off. We were negotiating about $500.00. Which maybe would not have been a deal breaker. But the yelling absolutely was. We left. I told the manager "You can yell at someone else". I was informed I was very funny. that "lady is very funny". I apologized to Brian, and told him we came back to him because he was very nice yesterday and thought it was a misunderstanding; the initial yelling. However, we could not ignore the yelling a second time. We will buy somewhere else. Maybe something else completely. Your poor salesman Brian and your customers deserve respect. It was very sad for me, as my dad was a car salesman. It was just very sad. Our daughter's first car purchase - as an adult - was sad. She will certainly bounce back, as will we, but wow. Just terrible.

I will never shop here for a vehicle again. When I purchased my 2014 Honda Civic in 2016 I was sold a package of free oil changes for the life of the vehicle. Fast forward to 2023 and the dealer is under new ownership and I was told these new owners have decided not to honor these old deals . No notice given, no other compensation to make up for the discontinued agreement on their part. Well new ownership, you have spoiled me as a future customer and I will always advocate for others to shop around, no need to give money to people who want nothing more than to take it from you.

Typical dealership tactics. Sales manager told me all sorts of things over the phone, I gave it a shot and came in to talk to him and was met with a young salesman named John. Everything we discussed over the phone want out the window once I arrived. As I was sitting down with John, he pronounced my last name wrong. No big deal, I corrected him and moved on. Finished up the visit with the information I needed to discuss with the wife to return in the near future.John called me back on Monday to check in and once again pronounced my last name wrong yet again. Okay, he forgot, no big deal. I corrected him again and continued on with the conversation. As the conversation progressed, I realized this young man cared more to make a sale than he did about his relationship with the customer when he, for the 3rd time, pronounced my last name yet again. The lack of professionalism I experienced was enough to know I never want to do business with this dealership. 10/10 would not recommend.

From start to finish we have had a very enjoyable experience with Honda of Clear Lake. Joe was outstanding in communicating to us about inventory and when potential options that met our requests arrived. We were able to take a test drive, sign the paperwork and trade in our car in just a few short hours. We had not purchased a car in over 10 years and this experience was relaxing and smooth. We walked out feeling great about our selection both with our new Hybrid SUV and Dealership. Great job!
