Let me start by saying that, as a female, my guard is always up when it comes to car buying, car repairs, home improvements, etc. I've definitely had some bad experiences and/or have felt that I've been taken advantage of...This was NOT my experience at South Texas Auto Rebuilders! This is the second time I've taken my truck to them (for 2 separate issues). From the owner to the staff, I was treated with kindness and respect! They took the time to thoroughly explain the problem, they always did their best to ease my fears/anxiety, and the costs to fix were very reasonable. (I didn't say "affordable", because the work was extensive. But they also didn't try to "make payroll" for the month just to fix my truck! Very fair pricing and, for that, I am very grateful...)I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SOUTH TEXAS AUTO REBUILDERS FOR ANY OF YOUR CAR CARE NEEDS!! And, if you are a woman like me, DEFINITELY use them for your auto repairs. You can tell these guys love their moms and the women in their lives!Thanks again! I hope to use you in the future FOR MAINTENTANCE ONLY...:)

I had multiple scratches and dents on my vehicle, I took my car for an estimate to see how much it would cost and I was honestly amazed on how fair the price was. When I got my car back, I couldn t even tell there was any damage, it was like the body was brand new. Very bad service, they made me wait more than an hour just to see me, 45 minutes for a possible diagnosis. They gave me a supposedly diagnosis wrooooong , I think the owners of the company d not know the type of employees they have.

Yeah we will go ahead and give you a call back and update The amount of times i ve heard them say that is insane, with every time without fail, never calling back.Only information i ve received back on my vehicle is. Mechanic is on vacation Call back in 1 week Call back Monday Call back Friday Might take more time Being busy is not a problem, I completely understand; however, relaying that information and being transparent with your clients is just as important.I m going on week 5 without a vehicle and no information on it as well.

Can't complain. Quickest major repairs I've ever seen done and no issues. So far I've had suspension, transmission, and electrical repairs and had my vehicle back in 2-3 days max. I will be back.

Inspected my Ac System for leaks and found it was low on refrigerant. They were very knowledgeable on the newer 1234yf refrigerant. Service was done in a reasonable amount of time for a random walk-in.Service: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning

1. No communication. If I wanted an update on my vehicle, I had to call and hope they answer. Otherwise, they wouldn't call or tell me anything. 2. Slow. It took them 2 weeks just to tell me I needed a new engine. That isn't repairs. That isn't waiting my turn. My car was taken apart on a lift and they just weren't working on it. 3. Expensive. $150 just to look at, $150 for a diagnostic, $1,600 to raise it and look at the engine. $2,000 later and 2 weeks for a diagnostic. Ridiculous. I do not recommend.

I highly recommend South Texas Auto Rebuilders for all your auto needs.Their friendly staff will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and will go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with the service they provide. My first experience with them was a simple oil change. Not only did they change the oil, but they also topped off the other fluids, rotated the tires, and had me out the door in less than 25 min!When my son had a small fender bender, I had the tow truck deliver his vehicle to STAR. Mr. Villarreal was once again welcoming, and made me feel assured that he would take care of everything. True to his word, he dealt with the insurance company, the adjusters, and preformed an excellent job in a timely manner, leaving the truck like new. Mr. Villarreal personally inspected the truck with me present, pointing out the work that was done, and other work preformed that was not visible to the novice. They are proud of the work they do! Right before I left, I noticed that they also had truck accessories available as well. When I asked about the LED lights, he took the time to explain which would be best for the truck. They had them in stock and installed them in no time. I found that they have a complete line of auto, truck and Jeep accessories.I have since trusted them with all my auto repair needs for several years and feel confident that they will always pull through with the care of my vehicles. From oil changes to transmission work to auto body work, they have it covered.Keep up the great work!.

I made a stop at their shop to ask for an estimate of a paint job on my vehicle. The guy who was helping me went outside to take a look at my vehicle and took a couple of notes. He asked for my name, phone #, and email - you know, the simple stuff. I was told that they would email me the quote in 3 days. Come the 5th day I see no email, so I call and I am told once again they will email your quote today ma am, they just haven t gotten to it . Point of the story is, why do they make false statements? It s been 5 months already and still no quote or apology has been sent. This is very unprofessional from their part and it seems like something they do often to other people judging from their other ratings. These people have very bad work ethics. I took my business elsewhere and am happy with the results. Thank goodness there are better business out there with much better customer service! It seems like these guys are good at just wasting your time!

Hands down the best Mechanic shop I've visited in quite some time. Not only was the service fast and on point, but the customer service was stellar. The owner is on site, courteous, and knowledgeable.I went in for a brake service, but they offer a lot of other services as well. You will pay way below what dealerships charge and you will only pay for what your vehicle really requires and not what the dealerships up charge you. Very pleased and highly recommend. Good job!!

I came and left my 2017 Mustang here for some auto repair. The car had sustained collision damage above the rear-end left wheel. The work they did on my vehicle was impeccable; they left it as good as new. Hard-working crew with affordable prices and great service too. Would recommend them to my friends.

Since moving to Laredo I have been to this shop 3-4 for my car and for my husbands car. The customer service is great and the prices can't be beat. My husband's a claims adjuster and knows good deals when he sees them. They treat all their customers like family and get you in and out quickly. You can make an appointment with them or walk in and they treat you just the same. This is definitely our go to mechanic for the remainder of time we're in town. Thanks for everything Joel!

Not sure to believe their warranty for life. Had my car initially serviced in Laredo, when it started acting up, I took it to the Elmendorf location since it was closer. Supposedly there was "nothing wrong", but my mechanic found that they hadn't even inspected it, and the leak that was allegedly"fixed" hadn't been. So, I had to replace the part again. So much for the life warranty!? Grrr... P.S. My car was so dirty under the hood that there was no trace of anyone checking it out. All they did was reset the service engine soon light. Buyer, beware.

1. First off, great customer service which is hard to come by. Frontman, Joe, was polite, informative, friendly and very accommodating.2. Fast service.3. Prices are reasonable.4. I will most definitely keep referring any family/friends, in the future, in need of auto repair to this place. *Bonus* Waiting room decor is awesome.***Note: This is the first review I've felt compelled to write. Since I've lived in Laredo, TX my whole life, I've given business to several other repair shops in the area but this one is the bees knees. It's great!

Great service. Dropped my car off with some transmission problems and they had it ready in a few days. Didn't cost me much to get fixed either. They probably could have ripped me off (I don't know much about transmissions) but didn't, so I'm thankful for that. They seem very honest and they fixed my car is what matters.

I would definitely recommend this shop for any car repair. Great customer service and I felt well informed of everything going on with my vehicle. Alex informed me of an air bag recall on my vehicle, and went out of his way to print the information for me. I'm not familiar with car parts but I felt comfortable and well informed.

Waited 2+ hours for the workers to tell me they do not know what is wrong with my car. Referred me to Nissan Dealership. I know they tried their best which is why I give 3 stars instead of one. I'm sure they can solve many other issues, mine was more technical. I would definitely recommend.

My windshield was crushed by a huge rock on Loop 20. South Texas Auto Rebuilders ordered a new windshield for me and made sure it was the correct model for my car. Was notified to drop off my car which I did at 10am and they had by car ready by 2pm. Communication and service is why I will continue to be a customer here. Thank you!

I highly recommend this place. They are very knowledgeable on what they are doing. They had my car done in 2 to 3 days. I had to have all fuses, wiring, and power steering replaced. They really work with you and help you in any way they can. I was helped every step of the way. Every phone call or questions was answered. Not one disappointment.

Great customer service! These people know their work, they get it right the first time. The Best Master Mechanic in Laredo. They installed a lift kit, new rims new tires, brush guard bumper, and side steps on my Chevy pick up. This is a one stop shop!

Coming from someone who totaled his car and couldn't afford to buy a new one at the time. My car is running just fine. Id definitely recommend them to someone who looking for a really good mechanic:) it can be a bit pricey (idk thats just my experience) but I'd rather pay for quality work that I know will lastService: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance
