Dealing with a screw embedded in the middle of your tire tread that you find late on a Friday. This leaves you the dreaded Saturday visit or Monday overload. With the Discount Tire's line backed out the door at 8 am, I had no chance of getting in (I had a 10 am appt). Scooted over to texaco in hopes they could plug it. Whew. They came out, did the pull/ repair/ test in minutes and I was on my way. Reasonable too. We've come here quite a bit over our 24 years here, and ownership has changed but I am so relieved to have a reliable location for all the weird things that happens to cars, from batteries, to tire issues/axles, etc. I will definitely bring it here more regularly for the fixes needed on my 13 yo Lexus that don't take long to do. I've gone here for about 5 years for oil changes and vehicle inspections on a car that is about the same age (5-6 years old). For quick in-and-outs, Lakeway Texaco is fine - maybe almost *too* quick, as in, you wonder whether a careful inspection is actually being performed. For more intensive repairs, beware that they are on the high end of pricing, and that they might be backlogged and poor about communicating ETA on job completion. This is what happened to me most recently. I was quoted close to $2000 for a failed water pump on a Thursday, told the car would be finished on Friday afternoon. This was more expensive than other places, but timing matters when you are a parent of small children and have to coordinate car seats, pickups, drop-offs, and childcare, so I agreed to it. I called Friday afternoon to get a status update and then was told, with no concern or apology, that the car wouldn't be ready till Monday. This put me in a mad scramble to rent a car for the weekend on short notice ($400 more - thanks) and to move car seats etc. from my car to the rental car before Lakeway Texaco closed for the weekend. I spoke with Brandon about this to see whether they would be willing to give me at least some discount for their miscalculation of time and the extra $400 and hassle that miscalculation cost me (while, mind you, no work was being performed over the weekend; my car was just being held hostage in the garage). He told me the best he could do was a free oil change or some car washes in the future - no adjustment to the pricing of the service in question. I am not satisfied with this resolution, particularly given that most online estimates for a water pump replacement for this vehicle make/model are actually $500-$700 cheaper than what Lakeway Texaco charged me. It's conveniently located, so I might be back some day out of desperation, but my trust in the business has eroded due to this most recent interaction. This is sad for me, as I really do prefer to support a local business over a car dealership, but I feel left with no other choice. I offer this detailed review as a caution to other busy working parents who don't have the luxury of waiting for a car repair that takes 3 days longer than promised.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Saw people filling up and pulled in. Filled my car...and there was no receipt tape. Found they weren't actually open on Sundays, which it was. Was not able to get my receipt for my business trip. Not their fault, but might try somewhere else if you're on a business trip on a Sunday and need a receipt.

I live in the area and was sent to this location from the Advanced Auto Shop on Hwy 71. Not only are they HONEST and fair in pricing but they even finished working on my car much quicker than orginally promised because I needed it for work. Cody, Brandon and Ross are the rockstars of auto repair in Lakeway. Don't hesitate to use this location for any of your car repair needs. Service: General repairs & maintenance

Fast, Friendly service.What a great experience. I ve driven by the place hundreds of times but other than buying fuel a couple times I did not realize they have a large service shop attached with several bays and quite a large staff.In and out quickly and the mechanics were so helpful when my battery had died from not driving car and as a result the computer had not reset when I replaced, so I could not pass my state inspection. They advised me what to do to get it to reset and when I went back late same day it had reset itself and it passed. It was so professional and such prompt service. I dealt with at least 4 people there and everyone one of them was polite and helpful.They have a new customer in me!Definitely made my inspection task quite painless and I ll be having my oil changed there next .

Great work, but had to leave car for 3 days to have radiator replacement, transmission service, and catalytic converter replaced. Could not have done it if my friend had not loaned me her car! Everyone was very warm and friendly (Brandon & Cody). When you call, you get a knowledgeable person on the phone. They desperately need a larger shop! Quality of work is excellent and prices reasonable.

They have consistently given us outstanding, professional, timely service at relatively modest prices. Their response time for work completion outperforms everyone in our area. This has been my neighborhood service station since I was a kid. It s changed over ownership several times but it s always been reliable. They also have a decent car wash in the back. If you need your car serviced with a family type atmosphere then give them a go

It never ceases to amaze me how friendly and helpful these guys are. I'm always greeted with a friendly face and even when busy they can find a way to help out with quick fixes (tire repair, coolant, oil change, etc) in a pinch. Fantastic experience. They did a great job in the oil change. I asked them to change the air filter which is an easy way for them to make more money regardless, but they called and said they checked both the air filter and cabin filter and said both were clean and did not need to be changed. Who does that!

I love this place. Took my older SUV in for a terrible sound, ended up being less than a $100 fix. Honest, fast, knowledgeable! What more could you ask for? And I absolutely get better had mileage when I fill up here as opposed to other places, you can really tell on the #SPI trip 6 hours. I got more than � tank more!!!!

I was in Lakeway doing some work and my alternator died. Homeowner recommended these folks. Called them, they referred a local towing firm. Brandon is a can-do guy. Even had them do my front brakes. Wednesday afternoon to Thursday afternoon. Very happy.

Since day one Lakeway Texaco has been getting great reviews and recommendations from people I know and trust in their opinions. We recently had them take care of our SUV and they were professional, timely and friendly. Took the same SUV there the other morning and they checked out the battery and alternator quickly for us. Would recommend them with high marks.

This station is so loved in our community. Practically everyone working there is like family. So convenient when you need fuel or a repair, air/water/wash/vacuum but don t want to drive up to the highway.

We ve used Lakeway Texaco a few years now. The employees are always friendly & there s always someone available to answer questions (in person or phone). When they provide an estimated time, it s pretty accurate. They always take excellent care of our vehicles and inspections are super fast!. Highly recommend.

Great service and very honest. We were on vacation and needed to get car check to make sure it was safe to drive home and they quickly checked it out and wrote up a explanation and took pictures so that we could show our mechanic back home. Very reliable and precise.

We had a problem with our car and we went to Lakeway Texaco to fix it. Although it was Saturday afternoon and after their working hours, they fixed the issue kindly and since it was a minor issue, they did not charge us at all. They were so professional and friendly. Fantastic service. I asked Ross, the Owner if they could inspect a car that I was considering buying. He said sure, bring it in. It was the best $80 I have spent in the last year. As it turned out, the car, while overal in good condition, needed $2,000 in repairs. They saved me from making a mistake. I will certainly bring more business to them.

These guys are FANTASTIC! Not only did they take care of my husband and I's vehicles, they were fast, detailed with their findings, and found the best prices for us. I was stranded without a vehicle while the cars were getting fixed and these boys provided me with a ride to and from work. They stayed in constant contact with me as well which is something I had never gotten from other automotive places. Great customer service and All around great guys. Thanks Rob, Cody,Chris and the rest of the gang for taking such great care of me. I will only come to you guys and I have already told EVERYONE about ya'll. Thanks again!

These guys are complete professionals:1) they provide the sort of honesty dealerships fake,2) they give status updates when they promise them,3) and they don't take a causal approach to simply replacing parts and hoping it's the fix needed.This shop deserves your business.

I highly recommend Lakeway Texaco. They are HONEST. I dropped my car off and told them I thought I needed new brakes (the brakes were making a lot of noise). They called me back and hour later and said my brakes were fine and didn't need to be replaced. From this day forward - I will buy my gas, have all my oil changes and future repairs done at Lakeway Texaco. I TRUST THEM. And, I really want their TRUSTWORTHINESS to be rewarded. Everyone there was incredibly polite too.

We live in Lakeway and have two vehicles. Lakeway Texaco is a family owned business. We recommend LT for Auto repair and maintenance. We have used their services on several occasions. All of our interfaces with LT have been 100% professional. They have earned our trust.

Called for an emergency tire repair. Staff took care of me immediately and was fairly priced for the expedient and friendly services. Highly recommend.
