They do not care for truck drivers. Security passes judgment after a fake greeting.If you are a driver, take your business elsewhere, MutaTruckas! The staff is not welcoming. Lot is not paved.

Literally went in just to check out the tacos...def didnt disappoint. Was some of the best ive had and the girl that served was awesome.

Parking lot has seen better days. No effort to repair the lot either. 9 times out of 10, your food or drink item will most likely be expired... (based on my evaluation today). Makes you wonder about the quality of the Mexican food and chicken that they sell there... Store closes at 8pm till 4am so you are SOL on that end. Only upside is their big variety to choose from. Definitely a safe haven if ur out of hours but not a place to get excited about for a 10 hour break..Edit. I have to come back and say this too... The place states that they close at 8pm. I'm a truck driver and was unloading half a mile a way.. During this time, i ran out of service hours making this truck stop my home for the night. Now, well aware of this store closing I finally got done unloading and booked it over here so that i could grab dinner, water, ect.. I pulled up at 7:35pm and the doors were locked!!! What BS!! I had to stay the night here as i can not legally driver for 10 hours. I had to endure the night with no water, no food, no bathroom, and no smokes! All because this place decided to close half an hour early. I can guarantee you that i will not give this store anymore of my business. My experience here with their bad attitude and appearance of this place shows that the owners dont care! They know they have somewhat of a money pit since it is so close to the port and serves as a safe haven for drivers. I'll tell ya if flying j or loves opened up shop nearby, it would bury this place and take their crappy parking lot with it

They carry a big selection of things for truckers that many truck stops don t. The kitchen food is pretty much the same as others. The diesel prices are about average. BUT the parking lot sucks! They close at night. The people that work at the registers are nice and helpful.

Great place to visit. Trucker friendly, clean and, lots of parking. This location is the best in the area for great services and prices. The people who work here and frequent this place are awesome.

Just bought a couple items from there they need serious help with there inventory I didn't notice until I was about to eat the muffin I bought but it's over a year expired! As well as another item. With visible mold growth!

Not the best place, but when i was there, there was some parking. The place had no ac, but that was being fixed. Also the shelves were overflowing with merchandise and unorganized. The staff was friendly, but spoke limited English.

This place is small, dirty and cluttered.The restuarant is outdated and the food looks as if it's been drying for days. Chicken is overcooked and rubbery. The city of la porte has banned all overnight parking so find a place before getting to la porte,tx

Staff is friendly. They sell a LOT of stuff here, from TVs to safety vests & shirts to beer, wine and soda. Also have a small food service inside that I've heard is pretty good but haven't personally tried. Biggest gripe is this place has the smallest men's restroom I've ever seen at a truck stop. One stall, one urinal, in a very small room. Be careful opening the door, you'll probably hit the guy washing his hands.

This place is like a diamond in the rough. Man they have some really good food in there. And I'm amazed how much stuff they have in there. From the outside you wouldn't think it. it's just a shame if the city of Laporte has decided to act an ordinance to refuse to let trucks park at a truck stop because these doofuses in Laporte decided to build houses next to the truck stop. But I do recommend these guys because they really do have good customer service

Lots of spots to park in the dirt. But it's dirt lol with pot holes. But so far peaceful (no strange people walking around or lot lizards). It's about 8:30pm and the store is closed. But there's plenty of FREE parking so 4 stars for them.

The lot is dirt mostly and not cleaned up. The store is cramped with stuff everywhere. They definitely run this like Mexico, the restaurant is closes and it's 8:30am. Great way to come to America and expect rights, we don't work 9-5 and truckers here work 24/7.

Very bad place. they sell a drink a meal expired already be careful when you buy something from this place everything is expired. Allrady Today. Is. 06-10-21. And the. Chocolate. Milk. Already expiring 06-07-21

Place to park up. There was a shower, not the greatest, but the water was hot. Little cantina in the back, food was good. Biggest drawback is that it closes at 8 pm. No where nearby for drink, toilet facilities that I saw.

For every fuel need safety vest hat and even a pretty decent hot meal. I'm so glad my company has an account, I can virtually get anything I want. Nice

This place has always been a hell hole. Craters large enough to swallow a truck. Store is over crowed and disorganized. The shower is in the restroom so if in use you are SOL for a toilet. Restroom was down right filthy and the toilet wiggled so much I feared it would topple over.On the bright side parking is usually available

Local smaller truck stop with a decent amount of parking filled mainly with local drivers and trailers. The store and restaurant is a little sketchy. There is NO OVERNIGHT PARKING, THEY WILL BANG ON YOUR DOOR AROUND 7 PM TO TELL YOU IT'S TIME TO GO. You will need to find somewhere else to do your 10 hour break.

Pretty inside but the outside could use some work. A lot of dropped trailers and container guys flying in and out so keep your head up. Great little Mexican restaurant in the back, food was good and I filled up at a pretty cheap proce.

They treated me with great customer services. Can't even lie about that at all. My second best truck stop ever. The products they have are phenomenal. Great food services too.

I give only four stars because there's no overnight parking there. But it is not the Truck Stops fault. Seems some developer decided to build an apartment complex by it. They got the city to not allow O/N parking. Casher, maybe the owner?, was real nice and told me they are fighting it in court to allow them to put up a fence so they can have O/N parking again. Is this place still in America? Maybe some one moved the boundary line. Lion King was there first. What about making the apartment complex put a fence up?By the way, the parking lot is not Dirt. It's old asphalt. Little rough. But not that bad. No big sink holes in it like you see and can get stuck in at some other Truck Stops.

Stopped to scale load. Used app so I was in and out rather quickly. Clerk could have been a little friendlier. Coolers not working properly. Drinks were warm

This is the only place I found around here with a scale! It was fast and easy. Make sure you exit through the south exit, or you're going to the port! Lots of trashcans and cheap diesel. Glad it is here!

This place is a trash hole of a truck stop. But it's place truck drivers need to park. Be nice owner would take time to clean place up and fix parking lot stop cars from parking in truck park. Clean up inside store so nasty u can barely walk in it. Put in a place to eat I went in food look like someone threw up in pans. Put stuff in English.

This place needs a new parking lot and a new fresh coat of paint and well.... some soap i guess. Well maybe just some soap. But the prices are nice, if your on a truck drivers budget. And the LIVE lion! Awesome!! I like their mascot idea. But if your going to keep a real live Lion in a cage on premises, then take care of the animal properly. Poor thing. Its main is all matted up, its ribs are showing, and it barely gets up and moves. I mean I know it must be expensive to feed a wild animal like this big but still if you're going to keep it, feed it. Plus the poor thing attracts so many flies. I think it needs a bath. But it looks like nobody will get close enough to it because well, it's a lion. Still all those things considered I would come here over and over again and bring my kids to see the lion. At least until the poor thing dies. Real dirty truck stop but still probably the best place to stop in the area. Make sure you come see The Lion King

This truck stop is expensive. A stick oversized load flag is $12, this is absurd when they sell everywhere else for over half the price of what they sell here. Place is highly disorganized. They have restaurant here, but i ate somewhere else. This place needs torn down and it would be better to have a Pilot here instead. Watch out for all of the crater holes in the parking lot also.

It's a Truck Stop so don't expect fine dining or spealized Beef Jerky but if you're a Trucker at the Port it's a great place to find everything you need. I really dig the Fried Fish also the Tacos are authentic......in Texas Tacos are life....a way of life.....well life so we're a little judgy. Everything from screws to screwdrivers.....enjoy.
