Recently had a 100 hour service and detail done by these folks, boat looked great, great price and was a quick turnaround. Russel even took a random phone call I had about maintenance a week after everything was done. I ll be a customer for many years to come after such great customer service.

I ve utilized R & S since 2013. They have performed monthly maintenance and taken care of the various issues that come with owning a boat. Trim tabs, bait well water pump, batteries and preventative maintenance on the motor, etc. I m very pleased with the service and highly recommend Russell, George and the crew. I ve used R and S for years. Russell and Sherri have been very reliable. They do good quality work for a reasonable price. Russell has done a great job repairing my Yamahas for years and now he is working on my Mercurys.He has done a lot of 100 hour maintenance jobs and he has even replaced a of lower unit. I put a lot of trust in him, since I primarily fish offshore. Thanks to him I ve never been stranded.Sherri has also done a wonderful job of keeping my boats looking great.Services: Boat cleaning, General repairs & maintenance, Battery inspection/service

Used R&S first time dealt with Russ the owner. Excellent work on installation of drains on my transom. Also some miscellaneous fiberglass repair. Good communication and very timely on the work done. R&S Mobile Marine has been doing my boat s annual service for years. They come to my house and perform this service in my boat slip. No trailering the boat back and forth by me. When they discovered an issue with my boat motor that could not be fixed at the house, they hooked up my trailer to their truck and took my boat to their shop. They returned boat and trailer to my house as soon as the repairs were made. So convenient and saved me a lot of time. I've enjoyed working with Russell and Sherry for many years. Taking my boat offshore requires highest confidence in the people who maintain the engines and boat systems, and R&S provides that to me. Both Russell and George know my boat well, and a recent mobile service quickly solved an engine trim problem. Sherry has always been my go-to person for boat cleaning and waxing. I would like to thank Russell and his crew for the job that they did on my boat. They were extremely courteous and efficient. They worked on my yamaha motor and the final results were great. They even worked on replacing the water pump even after they were closed. Everyone there were great even the bill was very reasonable. If you ever get to Galveston and have a boat problem of any kind dont hesitate taking your boat to them. I cant say enough on how well I was treatedThanks Russell everyone was great and the boat works better now than it did straight from the factory.

My wife and I were pulling up to the fuel dock at the Galveston Yacht Basin when the throttle cable on my hunter 36 broke. We were able to safely get tied up at the fuel dock I explained our problem and the dock attendant (Trevor?) recommended R&S. I called several times before their opening hours and left no message but shortly after 8:00 am Russell returned my call. He showed up in just a few minutes with the part he though we needed ( turns out I gave him a poor length estimate on the cable) unfortunately it was too short and he had to get one dime West Marine in Clear Lake. Russell and George worked until they got the job down. These guys were friendly and most important knowledgeable, skilled and quick. I cannot say enough good about this business!

This was my first experience using R&S Mobile Marine, and I could not be happier. I scheduled normal maintenance service online a few weeks in advance, and they easily accommodated my request. When the technician arrived at my home, he uncovered a problem that could not be easily repaired on site. They were able to get my boat back to the shop, repair it, perform the normal maintenance, and have it back the next day. Their prices were in line with similar services that I have had in the past. I would highly recommend them if you have any boat needs!Service: General repairs & maintenance

This place is the BEST! They stand behind their work and give great service at a fair price. Russell fixed my bait well pump n short notice so I could enter a tournament this summer. This weekend, he diagnosed a faulty water fuel separator, replaced it, & got me back on the water so I could enjoy a weekend of fishing rather than putting my boat in the shop. These guys really care about their customers!

Have been using R and S for years now to service my bay boat. I find Russell and his team to be timely, experienced, and reliable. They are great professionals who know what needs to be done. Also, Shirley s cleaning crew does an excellent job!

Russell owns and operates a very knowledgeable crew of people who are honest and trustworthy and can fix things that other boat mechanics simply cannot fix. He stands behind his word and will correct any issues that arise that were undetectable the 1st time around. His prices are very reasonable and he is easy to get along with. I highly recommend. 6stars.

Captain Russell and his staff are very knowledgeable. Provides excellent customer services and prices are reasonable. R&S Marine has been servicing my 23 footer for the pass 2 years and I m happy to say I ve been a Happy CamperGood fishing to all.I ve also recommended a very good friend to have her boat service by R&S Marine and highly recommend you check them out for you boat service needs

I m definitely VERY unhappy! These guys had my jet skis sitting there for over a month after telling me it would only be 2 weeks tops . I brought my jet ski it because it was starting but a lot louder than it usually is Just to be told that it s a cylinder and that I just need to buy a new engine after finding out they didn t even take my engine apart to even check anything out the guy said it wasn t worth it for him nothing was done nor fixed and I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND!Service: Engine repair

I would like to preface this review by saying that I have worked with R & S on 2 separate occasions. My first experience was with their mechanic, performing a service on both engines and troubleshooting an electrical issue. The mechanic was wonderful, he went above and beyond to complete the job in a very professional manner. My second experience was a polar opposite, this work involved working with the 2 owners.My advice to anyone working with this company would be to communicate all details of the job, both before and during the process via email, text, etc. only ; you want a record of your conversations with R & S. Also, I would certainly recommend before and after photos of both the boat and trailer, if applicable. Also, if you store your trailer next door at Galveston Yacht Basin ( Nothing negative concerning the GYB or their staff, they are wonderful) , make sure it is behind the gate on the trailer lot, if that is not possible, place a sign in a visible location that contains your name and states for no one to use your trailer. When preparing to move my boat temporarily to Dallas, we could not find the trailer. With the help of the GYB staff, we spent several hours searching, we finally found the trailer in the R & S lot with someone else's boat on it, I have no idea how long they had been using it. When launching their boat from my trailer it started to sink, I feel for the owner of that boat. Minor damage was present on the trailer which was not noticed until I launched the boat in Dallas, the owner of R & S said I should have said something prior to leaving his shop, difficult to ascertain trailer damage with a boat on it. His camera must be able to see beyond the capability of the human eye as he said the camera revealed no damage.Again, my recommendation would be, should you choose to work with this business, to only communicate with the owners via email or text, don't pay them until the job is complete and to take plenty of pictures.

I have used R&S for tilt repair on my 175 Suzuki. Finish Line did not repair. George, One of Russell s mechanics replaced the tilt motor which was cracked. Had my eleven year 22 BlaZer Bay detailed and it was beautiful again.No body but R&S works on my boat and motor. Ed LucasBayou Vista.

Another satisfying experience with the R and S guys. I have been using them exclusively for the past 2 1/2 years and am extremely happy. Just noticed last trip that my anode was in pretty bad shape. They got it replaced in no time and for not much more than the cost of the part. I have real peace of mind knowing these guys are helping maintain my boat in the salt water environment. 5 stars for sure. Thanks guys!Services: Tune-ups, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

We were headed to the Galveston jetties but the motor ran rough and jerky and would bogged down. So we returned to GYB and R&S Marine Service to see if they can help. Their mechanic (Bryon I think) diagnosed a fuel problem and changed the fuel water separator filter and the inline gas filter. He assured us that we can head to the jetties and return with no problem. this mechanic and Russell have always tried their best to get us back on the water as quickly as possible. They're honest, courteous, and professional. Anyway, the 150 Merc ran fine that day and we limited out on sheepies, two black drums, and one speck. Thanks to them!

Nothing but pros everywhere you look. From Laura in the office to Russell and George. I found a gold mine with this company. I will use this company again. I told the owner Russell that I didn t have the money to send my motor to his shop and pay to have it fixed so he sat on the phone with me for multiple days trying to fix it over the phone so I wouldn t have to pay him. I didn t end up fixing it and just ended up taking it to him when I got the money. Haven t got it back yet (only been a week) but so far have had nothing but a good experience with this company and the owner.

Took over a year to repair my waverunners just to over charge me for work that initially wouldn't have needed done if they would not have sat with motor apart in galveston weather for 6 months.I specifically told then to let me know before running up a repair bill because I did not want to spend more than it was worth.Services: Tune-ups, General installation, Engine repair
