Absolutely Flawless process Lake LBJ Marineland had when We purchased our boat this weekend. No Hassle, stream line sales from Tommy. Then once the deal was made we took a test ride and drive with Tye where he took the time to show us everything even though it was time to close. Honestly I can t wait to take my boat back for service just to see the whole crew again. We bought a G3 18 Bay and couldn t be Happier.

My husband and I bought a Hurricane deck boat from this company a couple months ago. The entire staff has been absolutely professional and courteous in every sense of the word! The owner, Rick, gave us an amazing deal. Upon delivery, Tommy, personally went over every aspect of the boat with us and took us out on the water himself to make sure as new boat owners, that we were completely at ease. I would absolutely recommend this company to everyone looking for a great buying experience!

LBJ Marineland is an embarrassment of an establishment. Customer service is non-existent here. After doing business with this marina for 12 years and providing ample business you would think that they would provide the minimum amount of good service but in fact they treat their customers with the worst possible treatment you can imagine. Let me give you the low down on how they like to treat their customers.Once again we decided to take our business to LBJ marina and received a quote on our boats maintenance for $2,500 for 6 weeks of repair. This is what was AGREED upon. Finally after 6 MONTHS (notice I said months not weeks, this was not a typo) the employee named Rick decided that he was going to do some unauthorized work on our boat to end up over tripling the amount quoted at a total of $8,000..... after several arguments about this Rick decides that he will not return our boat until all $8,000 is paid for in cash. What a clever way to rob a family with 3 children all either in college or newly graduated. I am embarrassed to say the least to have sent not only our business but refer friends to them as well. Unless you would like to be absolutely ROBBED of your money for disgusting customer service I would recommend never going to this establishment. The only reason I gave one star is because I would be able to post the review without marking at least one down.

Absolutely worth the over 8 hours of drive time to have our boat repaired after it was damaged by a drunk driver. The customer service was excellent, and they will be our top choice for future work (and maybe a new boat?!?!)

I bought a boat from LBJ Marineland about 6 weeks ago. Rhonda was the Sales Rep who helped me and she was fantastic to work with. She was never pushy, was completely transparent and patient as I made my decision. Having never bought a boat before, I did a lot of research prior to visiting the LBJ store. I had a lot of questions and Rhonda was good enough to refer me to Rick, the owner and CEO, when she wasn t sure of an answer.Rick came out in a mechanics shirt, grease on his hands and smile on his face. He spent about an hour with me going through several considerations I had not thought of. (E.g., how much time in freshwater vs saltwater? He used my answer and a couple others to figure out the best prop to match to the motor.) He told me about ethanol gas treatments, maintenance schedules, and many other aspects of boat care that I now adhere to religiously. My family and I were going to Houston that weekend for a family get together. I asked Rick if I could take the weekend to think about it. He asked Rhonda to put the boat on hold for me (without a deposit!) and said it would still be there Tuesday.Tuesday came and we took it for a test drive on the lake. The LBJ team showed me all the ins and outs of the boat including how to get it on and off the trailer, docking etc. I never felt a nuisance, rushed or that my questions were frustrating. After all that, I decided a 22 Hurricane Deck Boat w/ a Yamaha 250 SHO was the best fit for our family. I had done research on pricing (around the country) and Rick cut me an unbelievable deal. They got the boat ready for me in 36 hours and the paperwork took less than 20 minutes. (Their finance team is just as friendly easy to work with as everyone else.)I just returned from getting my first scheduled 20-hour maintenance on the boat. Dustan got me scheduled and made sure the boat was ready for me on time. Rick was (as usual) outside sweating in the heat working on customer boats. We shook hands and I told him how happy I was with the boat. There is great comfort in having a relationship with the owner and CEO after making such a large first-time purchase. I have no doubt that if I need help, or there is an issue, Rick and his team will stand up and do the right thing. If you are in the market for a boat or need somewhere to get your boat fixed or serviced, I would highly recommend you call LBJ Marineland. They run a great business, and most importantly to me, they are just plain good folks.

We really enjoyed our experience with Rick and his family at Lake LBJ Marineland. It had taken us over 2 years of searching to upgrade to a new boat. Problem is everyone else at the moment was thinking the same thing. With inventory low and prices high it was like looking for a needle in a haystack. With luck riding low well into this season for buying, we had all but given up the search. On a whim while out at our lake house we decided to drop into Marineland to take a look at what they had left in stock. We were looking for a new or slightly used pontoon to take all the family on. After talking with Rick and his daughter Rhonda for a few hours we made a great deal on a slightly used pontoon. Rick had it cleaned up and looking like new. The closing process was quick and painless and all exceptions were met and exceeded. Thanks guys for the boat and looking forward for years to come.

After dealing with Rick over the phone for a week I decided to drive the seven hours to pick up a boat. When I arrived the boat was ready to go and they had installed several additional safety features on the trailer for the long return trip. This family-owned company puts national chains to shame and really made me a believer, as they went out of their way to ensure I knew everything about my new toy. Just good people all around, and I will not hesitate to make the seven hour trip again for my next boat.

Since 2005 I've purchased three boats from Lake LBJ Marineland; this is a family owned business. Rick and Tommy know their stuff when it comes to boats. For those of you that complain about this company you dont know what your talking about. They would not have the largest Hurricane boat dealership in the south if all the negative claims were true. Keep up the great work!!!!

Great buying experience. I really liked being able to compare the different boats in the showroom. Tommy was great to work with. Was patient and answered all of our questions. I live 300+ miles away which was a concern but Tommy volunteered to meet halfway to deliver the boat.

Do NOT go to LBJ Marineland. First and foremost, they are rude and there is absolutely no customer service. My family has done business with them for about 12 years and Rick is possibly one of the rudest people I have ever met in my life.An estimate was written for about $2,500 for about 6 weeks of repairs. After having our boat for SIX MONTHS, Rick charged $8,000 because of unauthorized work that he decided to do anyway. There was no consulting before the additional work was done. He proceeded to pull our boat out of the water and wouldn't return it until all $8,000 was paid IN CASH. After going there for 12 years, you think there would be some sort of customer relationship. 12 years is 12 too many. DO NOT GO HERE.

We just completed a long Distance deal with Tommy and Lake LBJ Marineland. I live in Illinois and it was challenging due to the distance, the Covid pandemic, and the weather Texas experienced this past winter. But Tommy Hartly and his team was the extremely accommodating. They handled the issues we experienced with fairness and understanding. I purchased a 2008 Hurricane SD 2400i/o. It s the Boat I always wanted, and I thank Tommy Hartley, Christina, & Kevin for making it Happen!!!!

I got a deck boat from them this week. One of the best dealerships I have felt with in a long time. They treat their customers right, and that is why I will biy from them in the future even though I live in Houston. Also, the finance girl, Cheryl, is super professional and amazing at getting deals done quickly. Keep up the good work!

Rick and the entire Hartley family are amazing to work with. Our family has been doing business with the Hartleys for decades and there isn't anyone else we would trust with our boating needs. Their sales and service teams are both top notch!!!!!! You won't find anyone else in the area that will treat you better.

They lied about how long it would take to get a boat fixed and said it would be about $2,500 to fix it. While working on the boat the mechanic (Rick) said he found other problems with the boat and decided to fix them without consulting with me about it and charged me $8000 for it and I would have to pay it or els I won't get the boat back and it has to be in cash. Very unprofessional and hard to deal with. I would not recommend them to anyone.

No service, no sales, no nothing! I've tried twice to purchase a boat from them as it would be easier for service on the lake. Neither attempt could I get someone to leave the counter to sale a boat. Clearly they don't need the money....I've asked them to give me estimates for scheduled maintenance, but they're butt hurt that I bought the boat elsewhere and told me "it would be unfair to our customers if we worked on your boat."Seriously, I don't know how the Hell the place is in business. Bunch of jerks, all of them.

The Team at Lake LBJ Marineland is nothing short of Awesome... Pricing was great, good feedback during the service work... When I picked up the boat it looked like the day I bought it... This is a great company, won't go anywhere else.

We recently purchased a boat here and we ran into nothing but wonderful, professional, and friendly people here. From the first call, to visiting, to buying....it was a great experience. The mechanic is super also. You can tell they all really care.

BUYER BEWARE!! My recent experience with Rick and Lake LBJ Marineland during May and June 2017 is/was VERY REAL - and VERY DISTURBING. I had been a customer of his/theirs since 2006 when we bought a used Hurricane boat from them. All was copacetic (got a great deal; Rick was always willing to do repairs or upgrades, we were looking at upgrading to a newer Hurricane, & I never questioned an invoice) until this year. Cosmetic and mechanical repairs that were supposed to cost approx. $3000-4000 ended up costing $8000+! I RECEIVED NO COMMUNICATION FROM RICK or anyone else TO PRE-APPROVE ESCALATING CHARGES, DESPITE MY HAVING LEFT MY PHONE NUMBER, AN EMAIL ADDRESS AND PERIODICALLY POPPING INTO THE SHOP TO CHECK ON PROGRESS. Rick said he's never had to 'pre-approve' costs with customers! W.O.W.!! It should be noted, too, that HE AND HIS FIBERGLASS CONTRACTOR HAD HAD MY BOAT SINCE DECEMBER 2016....and no work commenced until June 2017. Rick claimed it wasn't his fault, but rather his fiberglass contractor's fault. When I tried to point out discrepancies to Rick - discrepancies such as 'I had not approved the extent of work done,' his parting words before hanging up on me and telling me I couldn't get my boat back until I paid the full amount were, 'GO AHEAD AND SUE ME!' The value of the boat is/was about $13,000 but the work charged was $8500. He shaved a whopping $500 off; big deal.In my 53 years - and dealing with businesses throughout the United States and literally around the world, this has to be the ABSOLUTE WORST RIP-OFF I have EVER EXPERIENCED. If this is the kind of 'family-run business' you care to deal with, go right ahead. As for me, I'll never step foot in that place again. Extremely disgusting and disturbing way to run a business. Cannot even begin to count the number of people in the Highland Lakes community who have told me that they have either heard-of or themselves experienced this kind of rude, poor business practices from this place - and Rick in particular.

STAY AWAY. HORRIBLE SERVICE. When I took it the first time and spent 750.00 on carb kit. Thats 73.61 for the kit the rest was labor. They broke the ladder clip (they didnt know how) and tore up the pin stripping on the front (from getting in and out from the lake test). Worked fine for 5 or 6 trips with the boat then started having problems. Took it back and they "worked" on it and was told it was fixed. IT WAS NOT. When I got it home and took the cover off I had found that they had ripped all 3 seats in the back where the stitching comes together from stepping on the seats when they entered the boat. One of the straps that has a snap on it to secure the seat was ripped off from someone snapping it them pulling it open without unsnapping it. The plastic part that fits over the top of the engine was laying on the floor in front one of the seats. Seats were very dirty, didnt bother to try to clean them. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. How about taking your shoes off or stepping over the side of the boat and putting something down on the seats before you work on it. When I returned to show them the problems the mechanic said they were not going to pay to repair the seats as they are not responsible (they have to step on the seats to get in the boat). I then talked to the owner and he said that they never step on the seats to get in the boat. I told him what the mechanic had said and he then said they would pay to have the seats repaired. It took them all of 2 mins to fix the snap on the strap. Bottom line they DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR BOAT. Will never step foot in that place again. I advise you to do the same.

Rude on the phone. Rude in person. They charged me $550 to clean out some fuel injectors. 3 weeks later i was having the exact same problem and they refused to take another look at the boat without charging a massive overhead cost.Go see the Boat Doctor off Park Road 4
