World class flight museum with rare pre-WW2 aircraft. Plus tons of vintage cars and machinery. Extremely knowledgeable guides, long personal tour. Possibly willing to teach you how to drive a Model T Ford. Unique museum, always more to see. Has fly in days twice a year!Call before visiting just in case. Very much worth the stop. A++

I'm military and they let us in for free (donations were very appreciated). They had a Wings and Wheels Fly-In with some great planes and cars. Best part was the museum, where they built real flying replica of old planes!! There was also a WWII trainer that was down in from the south of Houston area. It was a very well organized and executed event!

If you are even remotely considering visiting this place, please go! We visited on a Wednesday afternoon so we received our own private, unhurried tour through 5 buildings with Roger. He was a gracious and patient host as we took him away from his restoration work for almost 2 hrs, but his knowledge and love for his work is quite evident. Amazing work they are doing on restoring planes and vehicles to working order whether for the Pioneer museum or for others around the country. Hope to get back there for the Fly-in in November!

We enjoyed our visit today to this museum with cars and planes from WWII times/1900s, We enjoyed viewing from corner to corner. Our tour guide & Pilot was very informative and kind, You could tell this time period is his passion, I'm very impressed at all they know to rebuild from research to motor to craftmanship and all the way to making it fly! I would definitely recommend this to everyone I know because this is a must do for anyone from any age MAY 1st - THEY HAVE A FLY-IN EVENT & WE CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK FOR THAT!!!

We decided to visit the museum and were blown away. Great people are running a fascinating operation of restoring classic airplanes. I learned they do work for other museums too and you can clearly see why. We can recommend this museum to all my friends. Even if you are not particularly interested in vintage aircrafts, you are going to learn something. Made my day for sure!

This place is an amazing vintage flight and auto museum and has fantastically knowledgeable proprietors. Not like a normal museum. My 12 year old grandson and I both didn't want to leave.

I happened upon this place while taking a short cut down a back country road. I'm so happy I found this place! Antique car shows, military vehicles, airplane shows, and drone operators allowed! I stopped to ask questions about locating a legit FAA Drone Certification location and they not only were they able to provide me with some valid leads, but I found so much more! I can't wait to attend their shows tomorrow! Please put this location on your maps/in your phones, and if you love antique cars, have one you'd like to show, want to watch air shows, and have a place to practice flying your drone- these guys are great! They do not charge, donations accepted- so please donate if you come out! This place deserves to afford to keep this museum/location to provide entertainment open and operational!

A walk through history, cool to see old and classical cars and planes. Loved to see those dressed in era. Food options were good and couldn't have asked for better weather. Reactment was interesting. Even though it was free, we gave donations at several stations. Educational and glad we went again! They have Wheels & Wings in November and May.

I visited on a Wings and Wheels Fly-In day. It was great. Some very well restored and renovated aircraft from the WWI period and earlier. The older airplanes were in a large hangar and the more recent ones were parked along the grass airfield. There was also a classic and antique car show, along with some WWII and Viet Nam era Army displays. Very interesting, and the kids had a blast.

Such a hole in the wall. One of the few hole in the walls that are worth visiting. We spent so much longer there than expected because it was a truly engaging experience.I m not a museum person - this changed that.

This place is a hidden jewel in Central Texas. A place dedicated to the restoration of planes and vehicles from the Great War (WWI). During our visit we had the chance to see their workshops where the magic happens and older planes, sometimes just puzzles, become alive. The museum's owner was very kind and provided us with explanation regarding how planes get fixed, what materials they use, how they where used. and some history. We left with a big smile. Volunteers to work on the plane are welcomed. Whenever you go there, please bring your camera. I posted a lot of pictures, but honestly those pictures do not do justice to that place. This is a place for having a unique cultural experience and a window into our historical past. This place has a bonus: Their collection of collectible vehicles from that era is remarkable! :)

I was at their "Fly In" Veteran's Day Weekend and it was AWESOME!! This place has motorbikes, automobiles and airplanes from the early 1900. Most being lovingly restored to working order. Part of its charm is that the volunteers and participants dressed in period clothing for the day and put on a spectacular show. This place is great for the entire family, we are definitely going back next year!

Awesome experience! Roger was super friendly and knowledgeable! This is an active restoration and building operation, which gives insight on how these marvelous aircraft are built and maintained. Most of the pieces are operational, and are demonstrated at the fly-ins twice a year. Well worth the visit!
