I love AAMCO, they are really the only people I trust with my vehicle. They are very friendly and do really great work. They work with and even show you, if they can what is wrong. They don t just rip you off. I highly recommend them!

My transmission went in my 23 year old self converted camper van when I was traveling through Texas. Everyone I know said I should just get a different one & start over, but this thing means the world to me. I also figured that if I got a different van, the same thing could happen in that one. But if I have it rebuilt, it'll be much more dependable & will hopefully last for much longer than another used, old van. Once I decided for sure that I wanted to have it rebuilt, there was no question where I was gonna take it. AAMCO is a trusted shop, especially when it comes to transmissions. There are shops with longer warranties & shops where you'll spend less on having it done. But AAMCO has shops all over the country. If you just plan on driving your vehicle around the block, a local shop might work. But if you're like me & you like to go where the wind blows, you're gonna want these professionals close by no matter where you may be. The entire process took a few weeks, but it was well worth the wait. They found a couple other little things that were wrong & barely charged me to fix them. I got to pick it up on Friday & made the trip back to Florida where I live. This baby ran better than I've ever seen her run. Smooth shifts, no more leaks of any kind, runs quiet now that the exhaust leak is mostly fixed. To say I'm happy with the result would be a huge understatement. They did an awesome job & the woman I talked to about progress, Laurie, is super professional, knowledgeable, & friendly.Anyway, I appreciate y'all at the Killeen AAMCO. You're awesome!

I was having alott of different electrical issues with my car and had tooken it to several different places. They were super helpful and understanding of my situation, I work overnights and Lori was very accommodating to that. She was always very nice and helpful! I felt like she genuinely cared to help me! This shop encouraged me to bring my truck in asap when I told them my issues over the phone, they worked with another AAMCO shop to get some repairs paid for under warranty from previous work, and they got it done pretty quickly, only a week, on short notice. They worked with the military discount they provided me to get me better parts for the same price which goes a lot further than saving a bit of money. The work they did was replacing some U-joints and front suspension ball joints. They even replaced my brake pads as free labor since it overlapped with the components they had to remove. Additional warranties were given for the services provided, overall very happy with the service and speed of it.Service: Steering & suspension repair

The first thing that made me feel comfortable with this group of people was this: I'm waiting to drop off my truck, in order to have it fixed properly. As I'm waiting I hear Lorrie talking with an elderly couple, whom we're traveling through(but from the area). The way she treated them made me feel good about my decision to use them. A previous garage, hurt me right before this.She calls after they were able to get a look at it and offered for me to come see the transmission and talk to Web,the mechanic on my truck.The wear on it was obvious. We discussed the rebuild and options on upgrading the valve body, to an HD kit. They completed the work and two weeks later wanted to do an integrity check on the work. Perfect... Since then, I've driven it to California to see my mother and back. Which was a good test for it. This is my daily, trailer pulling work truck and that transmission just wants to GO! I highly recommend this company and the great staff. If I EVER need anything that I can't do on my vehicle..... I'll be back! Thank you and God bless.

After all of my experiences with auto shops, this specific AAMCO takes the cake. Lori and her auto techs have taken a situation I didn't even know how to handle, and are willing to help the entire way. All of the advice I have received outside of the service I got is above and beyond. Real empathy and sympathy here. I'm willing to return for any car troubles I can't fix on my own just to support the shop! It means a lot when an autoshop is willing to try and help you out of a situation they know you're not prepared for, especially when it can be contributed to poor manufacturing quality of a vehicle. If you're in a pinch, at a loss, or just need someone honest and reliable, I recommend this shop hands down! I was amazed when the manager was looking into alternative solutions for me after I'd informed of how my situation had progressed. They don't put any pressure on any options they give you as well, but lay out all pertaining information to help you make decisions in your own best interest. If you want to deal with honest people with priceless experience, this is your shop!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

They dont repair hybrids at all here.That being said, i didnt actually get service. However they were kind enough to do a quick diagnosis and point me in the right direction.

I took my truck to another local business which I just had a $1200 tune up and spark plug change. I took it back within a couple days because the issue I had with hesitation on a cold start was causing me to have concern. I thought it was because I needed a tune up and spark plug change. Nope. They gave me a price of $4500-9000 to repair my truck. I needed my truck to travel in a couple weeks and was prepared to buy another one because I was NOT going to spend $9000 on a 2011 Ford F150. Anywho a friend of mine told me to take my truck to AAmco. I never thought of that. By now I'm stressing because the other place had my vehicle for a week because of the ice storm. I got it back on Friday. Paid $380 just for them to look at it. So now I have to wait until Mon. I called Aamco and talked to the sweetest lady. She told me to bring my vehicle in on Mon and there wouldn't be a charge to look at it and there were no guarantees but she tried to tell me things that may be wrong. I took my vehicle on Mon. Got a call the next day telling me I needed to have my trans flushed and my blinker light was out. It's going to cost about $500. tears of joy. Fix it ALL I said. Of course she reiterates this may not fix it but if you have anymore problems please bring it back OR you can take it to Any Aamco. It was ready for pick up on Wed. 1 month and so far so good. Oh I didn't mention when I dropped my truck off I let them know I would get my stuff out the truck. Well I got my donuts and kolache out and LEFT MY PURSE. I didn't realize it until the next day because I was stuck in the house and movers were there packing my stuff for my move. I must admit my nerves were bad just stressing about my truck. I needed a plan B, C, D and E. When I called and spoke to the lady she assured me NO ONE would bother it and she would get it out my truck and put it in the safe. That's exactly what she did. No one bothered my purse. I'm soooo thankful to have found this place not just because I got my truck fixed but all the employees I encountered while there were the nicest people. The lady I spoke to said she'd been working there for like 20+ years. I'll edit and put her name later. I could go on and on. I felt like I could trust what they said.... unlike the other place. It's a feeling sometimes. If you have transmission issues PLEASE go to this place.

Amazing individuals, amazing costumer service. Reached out to me with every single detail of my vehicle. They gave me a date for when it would be ready, only about a two day wait. I was out of town for a few days, they understood and allowed my car to maintain under their care till I returned with no additional charge. Service was worth every penny of mine. Very honest and professional service! I am extremely satisfied with my experience. They diagnosed my issue which turned out to be totally different from what my assumptions were causing the issue, and they saved me alot of money. When you take your vehicle here, tell them the issue and then step back and let them do a proper diagnosis and resolve your problem. I went in in 2022 and got some good advise. This time I called with a question and got more good advise. I will continue to go here for my transmission needs and if I ever get work done here I know I'm dealing with honest people.

The staff and technicians are very knowledgeable. I got a quote to repair my transmission from another place that wanted to charge me almost $950. The folks at AAMCO told me that all that work wasn't needed. Charged me under $300 and everything's been great ever since. I love going to people I can trust not to gouge me or tell me to repair things that I don't really need!

I have been here 3 times already. I had just bought a 2011 chevy traverse and needed a diagnosis on why i had a horrible noise coming from it when i was driving. Lori and theresa got me in right away and the mechanic guy webb found the problem less than a hour. Gave me the paperwork of what needed to be fixed since that issue is under warranty with the company i bought the car from. Lori and theresa are amazing people and they are very knowledgeable about vehicles and the pricing is decent and better than most shops in killeen.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Had a transmission rebuilt. Seems to be holding together great. Great people work here and they were always able to give me accurate updates on timeline. My only complaint would be their hours. No weekends and only open until 5PM.

We had a great experience at AAMCO getting the transmission of our 2013 Chevy Traverse rebuilt. The customer service was exceptional- thanks Lori- and the technicians did a great job with the work itself. The ladies were very professional, warm and friendly. Laurie was the one I called a million times. Lol. She was very knowledgeable and kept me informed about the process of my car. Unfortunately I didn't get my car serviced there because I didn't have the best warranty coverage. The ladies still treated me with dignity and respect. Kudos ladies and staff. God Bless you

They are very nice people. They got the job done in time, when I needed it done. Affordable and reasonable prices. I first took them to do my spark plugs. They did a great job. Because I was so pleased. I came back a week later to do my breaks. They were very busy but fit me in and had it done in two hours. I recommend them to everyone. They are nice people and will treat you fairly. ;-)

I declined service to the transmission they inspected due to the overall bad condition of the vehicle (a recovery from vehicle theft). Everyone was pleasant to deal with and understanding of my situation. Would recommend this shop based on their integrity.

The Customer Service and work done on my vehicle were top notch. The staff are highly knowledgeable, professional, caring and extremely courteous. They even installed an option to prevent further mechanical issues. Couldn't find a better car care service in the local area. Not to mention, the rewards program and warranty are well worth it. They even do a free courtesy check to determine the issue with the transmission. Couldn't thank them enough! God bless them. Excellent service!

I dislike dealing with vehicle issues, but my experience here was excellent. Lori is a tremendous asset to the company. I had a pretty big job with both my transfer case and transmission needing to be replaced and rebuilt respectively. I was given my options and kept informed the whole process. Very good communication.I actually miss chatting with Lori. That good of customer service.

Recently had my ac replaced and fixed after two years of being broke. Ive went to about 3 to 4 different places within 2 years and no one has been able to successfully fix my ac. Lori explained what possibly needed to be done, helped with Total Car Care and when AAMCO received the truck, Lori explained the findings of the mechanics. After the repair, she explained what was done and how to drive to prevent damage. We will be returning the vehicle in 10 days as required.Excellent service from all personnel!

I came in to fix my car and they were able to give me a quote and schedule my car the next day. The ladies working at the front desk were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to fix my car that same day. When I got my car, it was driving smoothly just like a new. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a car repair shop.
