Can't say I would use them again, 16 months ago needed a clutch, took 4 months to find one, took a week to replace, took my deposit for parts or I would have went elsewhere, took forever and the car wasn't right. Did not trust going back for any warranty, got 16 months out of a substandard clutch. subsequent repair/replacement found work that was not put back correctly as shop said it was just the torque from new clutch. Exhaust not reinstalled correctly. Cost lots of money $2200 and time. I always look for the local shops and thought this would be a good fit but found it wasn't. Just my 2 cents

Highly recommended. They have worked on multiple vehicles and always stand behind their work. Honest, fast, and affordable. Businesses like these are few and far between.

I took the truck in the first time in March because I was going on vacation and there was no rush. It was picked up 6 days later at a cost of $994.15. Paperwork says they fixed gaskets and did transmission service. After a few days, I noticed it was still leaking. Took the truck back 5/16/17 and picked it up 5/18/17. Cost another $223.96 for this gasket work and I lost 3 days work (approx. $750). Even though the original work was warranted, they said it was something different. On 6/1/17, it was back in the shop still leaking. Another $180.90 for repairs and 5 days missed work.I still have an oil leak that is approx. 30" across even after all this expense and time.I took it in for a leak; $1400 parts/labor and $3400 missed work later, the leak is worse than it has ever been (see photo). Each time they said they fixed something different so the warranty did not cover it, but to me, I just wanted a leak fixed. It should have been fixed correctly the first time.

John and all the guys up there are extremely friendly with great customer service. I originally took my car to Eagle transmission off of Cooper in Arlington. The district manager of Eagle said that the manager of that store didn't know what he was talking about and I only had 1 gear and they were going to replace 2 things on my transmission and quoted me 2600 without even looking at my transmission. I called John and he was upfront that he wouldn't know how much it would cost until he took my transmission apart. So I had my car towed to him using the tow company they use which was $70. He also informed me to take my transmission apart it would be another $480. The following day he called me with a quote of $2250 and they were replacing 3 times the amount of stuff as Eagle. I took my car in today for the 500 mile check up and my transmission is running smoothly. He also let me know that I needed to order an oem fuel cap for my car because the one I got from AutoZone wasn't sealing it properly. They are so honest and I will be going there with any other mechanical issues I have. Thank you guys for fixing my car. I will also give anyone who needs a car repair your number.

Over priced and didn t even get the job done right. Charged me $6400+ for a rebuilt transmission with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. Most other places told me for that price I could ve got a Suncoast transmission with lifetime warranty. Then I still had to take my truck to get retuned for another $400 both tuning guys told me there was no reason to do what John from Performance Transmission was asking to get done but he insisted it had to be done. To make things worse I ended up leaving Performance Transmission with more lights on my dash then before I had took it to him and refused to do anything about it saying it was the tuning shop s fault. I highly recommend never taking it to this shop and if you do make the same mistake I made, please call around other places before giving these guys the OK to do any work on your vehicle.

Rebuilt the 4l60e in my 02 z28 and it runs great and shifts great. I wanted more warranty but it's a 1 year warranty just like you get pretty much everywhere else. Unless you take it to the dealership, they'll give you a 3 year warranty but it'll cost another 1300 bucks

I took my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac to them when I bought it in 2014 because it was leaking transmission fluid. They found and fixed the leak for a reasonable price.Unfortunately, the transmission broke in 2015 - probably because the previous owner was driving without sufficient transmission fluid. They pulled the transmission apart and rebuilt it. I had to take it back twice in the next month because one of the new parts was faulty or something - they fixed it again, under warranty, with no hassle - what more can you expect. It has been running strong for the past two years. Last week, it wouldn't move backwards and I took it back thinking that the transmission broke. Fortunately, they found an issue with the brakes - a bolt was loose or something - and they fixed the brakes. Amazingly, they wouldn't accept and payment from me for their time - made my day! These guys do solid work, honor their warranty without hassle, and are honest and good people.Transmission work isn't cheap, but I highly recommend these guys!

Very friendly and informative! Clearly broke down price and procedures for diagnosing and fixing my transmission. Then gave a reasonable time frame and met that goal. I highly recommend them if you suspect transmission issues!

Got car towed there to get a transmission built for it told me it would be around 5grand. Told the owner that is a rip off knowing what is done to my car performance wise. The owner proceeded to cuss me out over the phone. When I got there to get my car and take it else where they told me oh we will do it for $3200. They went from 5 grand down to 3. charged 8 hrs labor to put it back in when it only takes about 2 hours to get it out and back in. Horrible shop one of the worst places you could ever take your car.

Let me start by telling you I went to the shop down the street and walked all the way in to their lobby( which was very dirty BTW) and saw 2 Techs or what seemed to be Techs in the shop. Stood in their lobby where they could see i was but waited about what seemed between 5-10 minutes , apparently more important things on their phones than customer's. Needless to say I thought to myself I dont have to wait this long just to talk to some one or be greeted so I went to Kennadale Performance Transmission's where (Bret) the owner not only met me at the door but also offered to help unload my truck of the trailer in 100 + degree weather after discussing with him about diagnosing my truck. He communicated very professionally and got back to me in 1 day which he had already advised would take him. Let me tell you very honest people, I have been in the Automotive industry for 20 + years and their is some things I can't do myself due to diagnostics equipment needed. I had spoke to a diffrent shop which had mentioned a transmission problem might be and possibly replacement needed but fortunately I walked out from an honest shop with only an ignition coil being the problem and only $215 with diagnostics/ part/installation in costs. Thank you (Bret) and Performance Transmission's team. We will do car business repairs soon! I highly recomend Kennedale Performance Transmission's to anyone!

Been here twice with two different vehicles and both times had issues. John front desk said he would do cheap last about year or do for a little more and last longer. So both times we paid more in hopes for quality work. Should have known with having take 1st car back up there twice it was going be and issue. Then trans went out on 1st just passed year which is when their warranty ends go figure. My son just got rid of the car. The 2nd time after they fixed trans tried tell us battery messing up ect. We gave him another battery but when we got van back the van doors wouldn't auto open. So we spoke to another trans guy and he said if the trans wasn't set right it would cause issues with starting our model van as well as keep doors from opening. Plus the motor cover came up missing. I wanted to go back and tell them but my husband just decided to straight wire the doors and got another motor cover from wrecking yard. Anyways its only been 18mths just 6mths passed warranty go figure and they won't even make good on it. John says warranty is up and they would charge fix again and he try give me a discount. Sorry I no longer have faith in them and don't want to spend anymore time nor money with them. John is all talk just get you in. His guys don't know what they are doing. I will never go back. Now our van is at another shop getting trans work done for real.

Took my truck in to get the transmission rebuilt. They put the old gasket on it. Transmission leaked all of the fluid out. I did not know. Went back to get it warrantied. They refused. Finally they did it. Saying the truck was hot rodded. It was a family vehicle. They told me not to come back again. Terrible.

Don t use this place if you want any kind of long term solution. Had my transmission overhauled and 40k miles later, needs to be replaced again. Guy was very condescending to me when I called to discuss. Will not be using them again.
