On May2023 it s my first time I went to fix one of my car s spark plug In Steve s.I took theirs Professional s suggestion: changed 6 all of them. After that days, the car can t start when I try to pick up: NOW your fuel pump had big issue~~~ with few mystery reasons , after cost more than $1800 and more than 2 weeks, I Finally got my car back before they close. After picked up to drive 1 minute to park , I noticed my car s door got damaged. Even the engine sign was keeping to show, with an old friend reminding and need add gas, found out they gas cap got damaged even can t close .I took pictures and showed next day to the manager.I tried to talk to show them few times .No one took responsibility. Even I was wondering How the second time Big issue happened after they changed spark plugs, if someone doesn t know how to do right may cause the second happened.Everyone knows own car s special when you have nice car. They didn t take any pictures when you drop off or before you pick up, but they know how to tell you: THIS IS NOTHING WE DID.From the owner Steve, manager Ron, one worker left two bad scratches when he opened the door hit the pipe on the lifter.I wish I can give -10 . So bad and sad experience. Be careful with then by people can t be honest, and it s bad business.

They mis-diagnosed my old 3500 Ram work truck and offered a very fair price to repair the truck.I found them to be honest and quick but we did the repair work at home instead.Update! After replacing the very expensive fuel injectors we found that it was (not the problem after all). It was actually just the sensors on the fuel rail that caused the problem. FYI

I wouldn t have them do a brake job, they will charge you full price and will only swap out the pads. They won t resurface the rotors or replace, they won t clean and grease the guide pins or replace any of the pad hardware with the new hardware that comes with the pads. This is known as pad slapping.

Been going to Steve's since last year and so far I have no qualms as they always get the issue I have fixed and cheaper than most other mechanics.

I've been going to Steve's over the years for various vehicle issues. I brought my truck in thinking I needed an alignment. A call from Steve after the diagnosis revealed I needed brakes and rack and pinion replacement, an expense I didn't plan or have money for. I approved the quote and asked to get started. I was pleasantly relieved when I picked up my truck only needing brakes as the emergent repair, giving me some time to get the other repairs done next month. Most places would have not stopped after the first repair solved the primary issue, they would have done everything. I'm glad Steve's was able to get me on the road again and hold me over for another paycheck. My truck drives like new again.

To sum up Steve automotive, they would rather make a bunch of excuses, then to do the work right, Every time I ve had my car worked on here I ve had to bring it back multiple times because they couldn t do it right the first time, It truly is frustrating and save yourself the time, energy, and in this case money!

Scammers!!I brought in my vehicle to have ("all") the leaks fixed. Got a quote to replace several parts and some gaskets and seals. $1500+ which included (oil and transmission- parts and labor)I agreed for them to preform the work. (for the$1500)They call when the vehicle was finished. I picked up my vehicle to get it home to find it still leaking. They agreed to fix the issue(warranty) due to non fix the first time.I received the vehicle back the "second" time, took it home to find it is still leaking....returned the car....Third time back : Steve's Automotive- " You have a new leak"...Now : $900 additional to fix something they didn't fix the first time. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Had two cars fixed in one day. I was concerned that I wouldn't get any vehicle back in the same day but I got both of them back. The staff was friendly and professional. The mechanics were thorough and answered any questions along with offering suggestions to save money and time. I highly recommend this shop!

Steve replaced the engine in my daughter s car after a serious mistake was made at their shop. He took full responsibility for what happened...rented her a car and offered her next oil change free. Their customer service is impeccable!!! I recommend Steve Zakos s and his team to everyone! Thank you again.

I talked to Freddie on February 25, 2014 about having a look at my air conditioning and brakes on my Saturn Vue. He hooked up a leak test machine to the car and ran a test on the air conditioning first and found the problem very quickly. One of the main hoses had a hole in it and needed to be replaced. It would be $382 complete. He then took the car and put it on the hoist and pulled both rear hubs and one of the front wheels off. He asked me to come out and have a look at them. He said the rears were fine and the shoes just needed to be roughed up a bit and adjusted. The fronts needed new brake pads. We talked about the better pads that don't create so much brake dust, which is what I wanted, and he quoted me just under $206. I was recommended there by a relative and arrived at the shop around 8:30. I worked from the waiting area using the service counter as my desk. I was offered coffee once and donuts at least 3 times. I left just about noon with both repairs completed. I've only used the AC a couple of times so far but the air coming out will freeze me stiff. My brakes don't squeak anymore and I can stop on a dime. My total bill was $587 and that is such a great deal. The reason I know it's a great deal is that the local Driver's Auto quoted me $1,250 for the AC and $250 for the brakes. I saved $900 and couldn't be happier. Keep up the good work Freddie!

What a horrible place to take your car!! I thought I knew these guys and could trust them, but boy was I wrong. I got stranded on the side of the road and called a wrecker to tow it over there. Almost $800 later and a week later, I got the car back and immediately it was running very poorly and the check engine light was still on. I took it back the next day and they had it for another week and this time almost $500.Had the car for a little over a week and drove it about 4 times and it left me stranded on the side of the road again. This time they would not fixed it and pushed it out in the street and left it.I ever had to call the police when I went to clean out my car because they threatened to assault me!So in summary, after a month and just under $1500 and my car is still not running and they won't work on it. I have filed in small claims court on Clay Road to get justice!Since then I've run into people who I know that have been screwed over by them after working there.. So BEWARE if you take you car here!

Had our truck there a year ago. It came back with a dent in the fender, a broken coolant tank(which they tried to glue back together), a broken transmission dipstick, but it did run an drive as expected. Less than 10,000 miles down the road the entire $2500 repair they did failed. I took out to another shop who showed me they didn't change all the required seals, they didn't properly install 2 sleeves which had to be redone. Total cost of the repairs to fix the damaged items and redo their work was $2900. Stay far away from this place.

I went into Steve's Automotive on Saturday afternoon to have my 2007 Saturn with 128,000 miles looked at. Sheila asked me to wait for 10 minutes so they could put the car on the hoist and have a look at it. Sheila took her time to work up a price quote to fix the car and came back with a reasonable figure. I asked her if I could talk to Steve to get his opinion on fixing it. Steve told me that it might be best to trade the car rather than spend over $1,000 to fix it. He could have talked me into fixing it but he gave me honest advice that is rare to find these days. Thank you Steve! I will be back again.

This shop is fantastic! I took my truck in for some suspension/steering issues that we're a bit difficult to pinpoint the causes. They went above and beyond to make sure they got it figured out, fixed the right way, and not milk me for every penny I had. The shop I took it to previously over charged me, did unnecessary work, and it was sub par at that. I will not take my vehicles anywhere else but Steve's from now on.They are great people who care about their customers and their reputation.

This place was complete Garbage labor charges are outta this world. My car completely shut off on me in the middle of the road so I had it towed to Steve s hoping for good news. Just to find out I need a starter/Radiator Fan. So I get all that just for them to tell me they really have no idea to why it shut off I m the first place. So I picked the car up after spending over 400+ for all these repairs just for it to do the exact same thing 3 days later and leave me stranded. Also when I picked it up I also noticed my radio wasn t coming on, my interior lights weren t working, and I couldn t lock my doors anymore. Keep in mind this all worked before I brought it to Steve s. So as I was stranded waiting to get picked up I looked under the hood myself just to see that the terminal on my battery was loose and was the problem the entire time all I needed to do was push it down and tighten it problem solved. But Steve told me himself they tested the battery and all these things and noticed nothing wrong I don t understand how u test a battery and don t see the terminals loose and need to be tightened. Also to mention the reason I couldn t Lock my doors is because they took my fuse for it and never replaced it honestly I m not even sure if the intended to so basically in all don t take your car here unless u want lies and want your car to have more and more problems when u pick it up.

Went into the oil change shop directly across from this shop was referred to them due to a noise that was coming from my vehicle, went over and found the most caring group of people I have ever met, they took time on a Friday afternoon to look at my vehicle thoroughly - they were up front and honest about repairs needed and helped me to find the best price for parts that were necessary- I will forever be their customer!

Thieves!!!! They always cost more than they quote and then lie about the actual problem. Go anywhere else but here!!! I will never step foot in there again and will tell everyone that I know in Katy. They refuse to honor their work and left me with a disabled car because they tried to extract more money from me. Went to two other mechanics in Katy after this incident and they said to go to small claims court.
