No honesty and No skill. - Estimated $1600 for changing the radiator for the leaking coolant. I paid $40 for nothing because they said they had to charge the check-up fee if you don't get the service here. I went to other mechanic, and he said the radiator is fine. GM's bad Engine gasket problem was found after 80k miles. He charged $800 for replacing the new gasket, and the car is fixed well.

They replaced the ac in my daughter's car, and now she has to wear a sweater it blows so COLD! She will not turn it down, just blasts it on high because she loves how good it works. The job took a day, the price was nice, and it works great. Nice work, fellas.

My parents have lived in Katy since 1989 and as long as I can remember they have been using Rick's for their auto repair. I have used them numerous times as well. Recently, I had something that appeared to be hanging off the front of my car. It ended up being my skid plate had come loose. They quickly fixed the problem and did not charge me for the service. I greatly appreciate their professionalism and expertise.

Rick's Hi-Tech Auto has great people, excellent and honest service. They fixed only what was needed, never pushing for unnecessary extra repairs. Just an all-around great experience for car repair. It's never fun to have to spend repair money but I trust Rick's to get it done for me as fast and as reasonably as could be imagined. Having a car repair place that you can trust is golden. Rick's is 24k. Most recent experience was a cost more than 37% cheaper than the rip-off artists near my house. I'll never go anywhere else.

Honest and reliable, informative and helpful. Thanks for the excellent service!My son broke down on Ave D while my husband and I were on a Pilgrimage in Europe. Several of our cars have always been serviced at Rick s. My son got a tow to Rick s and left a key and note in the night drop box. The alternator had given out. It was fixed the next business day.

I took my car in for an insurance claim repair. I was given an estimate for repairs to a front side strut mount. When the insurance adjuster asked the shop to provide evidence of the damage, the shop completely changed the estimate to something else. It definitely feels like they were trying to repair items that did not need to be repaired, and when asked for more details about it they changed their estimate and asked me to take my car somewhere else. Extremely questionable business practices. If you need an honest and reliable mechanic you will need to go elsewhere.

I had an appointment at 3:30 for an alignment. I arrived 15 minutes early and was told no problem we'll have it done, we close at 5:30 p.m. I went for a 15 minute walk and when I returned I was told they got busier than expected and they could not do my alignment. I do not understand how I had an appointment and at 3:15 it was no problem and they got so busy in 15 minutes that they were unable to work on my truck. I gave them 2 stars and not 1 because at least they told me before starting on it.

I have been a customer for over 25 years, since my move to texas, and I can not say enough nice things about this company, great customer service, loyal, accommodating, helpfull, and honest. Thank you Rick for being there the first time I walked in, and convincing me to use your services. .....

I called Ricks about getting my timing belt replaced. The guy didn't even know where the timing belt was. Then he started telling me that they had to charge me a $105 'diagnostic' fee to determine why the timing belt snapped. I have a '96 Ranger and it hadn't been replaced since it was put on at the factory and I'm not paying them $105 to tell me that the belt was old. Belts get old and wear out. That's what they do.I don't like shady mechanics so I took it down to Old Katy car care and they did great work.

Rick's is awesome! I referred a friend, with a special needs van, Rick's took great care of her! Van was in and out, and special care was taken for her needs! She even saved money!

I drove a 1993 Camry 275,000 miles. Rick and his crew kept me on the road in that car for 11 years. They always emphasized quality and a clear diagnosis. If I still lived in Texas I'd still be going there.

There were issues with the repairs and they were expensive. This was some 15 years ago, so maybe they're better now, but I go elsewhere now.
