I want to give a shout out to Ulises.Ulises went above and beyond to fix a minor issue. 2 other places quoted me $2,000 to fix and replace my mirror which was not needed. The mirror was jammed out of place, and Ulises took the time to identify the issue and he managed to fix my passenger side mirror without the need to replace it.Honest and reliable, I would recommend to anyone needing car work doneService: General repairs & maintenance

I called ahead and asked if they had time for a state inspection that afternoon. The person on the phone was super nice. He said to come by before 5:30pm because that's when they take down their inspection system. I got there at 4:52pm and my car was done before 5pm! Really great service and attention. Awesome mechanic. Fair and honest. Replaced a crank shaft sensor in my Journey quickly and the price was great. We just moved to the area and definitely will use Old Katy car care in the future and highly recommend them!!

The owner is top-notch and very honest and reasonable in regards to cost on the last two times I've had to use them. He had to replace an AC pulley and an engine mount on my son's car and based off the other quotes I got not only was he very reasonable but he noted that the other folks were trying to overcharge me for something I didn't need. He has earned a customer for life.

My 2012 Silverado was diagnosed with a failed cylinder. The first highly-recommended place I took it for estimate told me: Bad cylinder on #6, only option is to replace engine, for $$$$$ and change! I got on social media and asked for recs, and Ulysses at Old Katy Car Care sounded like someone I wanted to take it to. Ulysses took the diagnosis and actually explained the different scenarios that I might run into, trying to fully diagnose and repair what could have caused the cylinder to fail; where such diagnosis and repair could lead to even further diagnosis and repair, and so on, and eventually I would be well on my way to funding a rebuilt engine. He quoted me a price in the $$$$ range and I felt good about, and today I feel good about driving my Silverado with a remanufactured engine for another 200k!Recently went back to Ulysses for full brake work, and he even honored my request for a little un-common body work. I was impressed that he would even bother. Not sure if I should broadcast the body work, and maybe he will comment. My old mechanic hung it up after 20 years. He referred me to Ulysses at Old Katy Car Care. He said that he had worked with Ulysses at Christian Brothers over 20 years ago. I gave it a shot thinking I would have to bounce around until I found someone I trusted again. His shop floor was impeccable. His office and paperwork were organized and not cluttered. The first impression was excellent. Clearly, repairing vehicles is the most important thing. He did not disappoint. I never felt like he was running up the bill or adding work. He always provided a less expensive alternative if it was available. I have using him for two years. I am thrilled at the service I have received and refer all my friends to Ulysses.

Ulysses was so extremely helpful. I made an half hour trip just to get his service. First quote I got that didn't make me feel like I'm getting ripped off. I take my personal Vehicles to this place, it's one of the only places I go for car care. The office space has a great atmosphere and the employees are concise and professional. They are an honest, hard working shop that will not advocate work that does not need to be done.TLDR;Go to this place, they do better work than most dealerships.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Our family has lived in Katy 5 years and we have taken our cars to a number of recommended auto repair shops. The others shops did good work, but there was something missing so we kept looking. I believe we have found what we are looking for in Old Katy Car Care. They provide honest, professional work at a fair price. Repeating what another reviewer said "done right the first time". Highly recommended.

I brought my Ford truck to Ulysses due to a check engine light. Another mechanic shop in the area couldn't diagnose the issue since there were multiple check engine codes. Ulysses did a great job of diagnosing the problems and took care of it on the first trip. He repaired my vehicle in half a day. His prices are very reasonable and he did a great job.

Have taken my cars to Eduardo here and he does an amazing job. His prices are better than most people and he tells you straight up if he can do the work or not. He also gives very realistic extreme case scenarios for the work to prepare us for anything.

Stopped in for an inspection and they had me in and out quickly! This place has a very good vibe for a mechanic shop. You can tell their passion is working on cars and taking care of their customers. This place is ok.My experience: People that work there aren't super friendly or easy to get a hold of.Cost of service has ranged from cheap to above regular pricing.I'll do my state inspection here and oil changes elsewhere.

I came in to get my timing belt replaced on my '96 Ranger and these guys are awesome. They let me know that while they had the engine torn apart I could replace the oil seals and the water pump if I wanted. They gave me the option of doing it and didn't pressure me.I am not taking my truck anywhere else. I highly recommend them.

Im not local but this place is my go to when I am out of town. They are very honest and good people. If you ever need a vehicle checked out or have the unfortunate situation of your car needing service stop in and use them. Trustworthy and do not overcharge.

I brought my bosses van here for an oil change and a brake change. The van was returned with zero oil in the engine. The day after that the brakes caught fire. The owner told me he watched his mechanic put oil in the vehicle and watched his mechanic change the brakes as well. We brought the van to another mechanic and the brake pads were backwards. So before you spend money here ask yourself how important is your car too you. Carlos (the owner) was very rude and unprofessional
