Wife took our new Truck to get inspected and I was on the phone with her, I received a alert from my truck that I had a flat tire, immediately I told my wife to go check on the truck and turns out that the guy did something to my truck while he had it and busted the tire. I do regret not being there because I would ve made a big scene, but since my wife was there, the owner and son took advantage of my wife, even making excuses that my wife drove that truck like that to the shop. Stay away from this place these people are stupid and don t know what they re doing.

Great experience for a car inspection.. took less than 20 minutes and very friendly staff! Not going to waste my time any more at other shops who make you wait a hour even on a Tuesday

I heard a very loud clicking sound when I was coming home and realized this needed to be taken care of ASAP. The qualified personnel at lone star auto were able to diagnose the issue with ease and assured me that my car would be ready in a matter of hours. Very rarely do you find an honest place that isn t just trying to rip you off like most car mechanics these days. Highly recommend this mechanic shop to anyone and everyone!

Strongly recommendedI did my state inspection there because the staff is very honest, competent, and speedy. I finished the inspection in five minutes and they gave me a full report of my vehicle's performance.Inspection Pass I'm grateful to Mohammad, the humble certified inspector.

Went in for an oil change and brakes. They informed me I didn't need new brakes and to save my money. I thought that was cool, a mechanic saving me money. This was on November 6, 2023 before a trip home for the holidays. Well, my grandfather is a well respected mechanic and he was who I visited. He informs me that my car is low on oil, showed me that my oil was extremely too dark to have just been changed. My filter also needed replacing. They didn't change my oil! They definitely took my money, but there was no work done. Now my dashboard is confirming that (and we're buying oil for the car as I type this) while Lonestar's sticker is still on my window showing I still have over a thousand miles until I need another oil change (yes, math isn't their strong suit either, but thats okay. I needed an oil change). Seems like a toss up on the kind of service, if any, you'll get.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this mechanic shop. I sent my wife for a state inspection on my 2019 car, and they turned it into a frustrating experience. The mechanic told my wife that a turn bulb light needed replacement, even though I hadn t noticed any issues with it before my wife took the car in for inspection. Although I told my wife to let them change it since it was $25 and I needed the inspection done.After making my wife wait for an hour, they informed her that they didn t have the required part. Frustrated, my wife decided to leave, and I had to return on another day to sort this out.Upon my visit, the mechanic couldn t accurately diagnose the problem, which was concerning. They initially claimed it was the connector, then shifted to blaming the lightbulb and argued about the inspection payment that wasn t done by my wife but they didn t completed the inspection because if the lightbulb. They wasted time trying to locate the connector, which they should have retained from my wife s previous visits. Adding insult to injury, they demanded payment for the inspection before addressing the issue. I left without paying, with plans to return once they had all the necessary parts.On my subsequent visit, they claimed they couldn t find the connector and suggested it might have been left in the car. I clarified that it wasn t in the car, but they refused to take responsibility for their loss. The connector was not something readily available at an auto shop, and I had to buy it directly from the Mazda dealer, costing $125 for the connector and the wire because they don t sell it individually. See the picture of the other light connector.This experience left me extremely dissatisfied, not only because I doubt the light was even malfunctioning in the first place, but also because of their mishandling of the situation and their refusal to take responsibility for the missing part.I would not recommend this shop to anybody, family, friends, or unknown people. One start is the least but I should rate this as a negative 5 starts.

They have excellent customer service and are very reasonable on their prices. I went to two other repair shops, and they are by far the best prices. I also came in another day to see why my car had maintance required on dash board, and they just changed the setting just out of kindness. I am so pleased with this place and will not go anywhere else. Mohommud is amazing to work with for sure. He is also the owner.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Auto Lone Star is such a great repair shop! I moved to TX in 2019 and have used them since arriving. The team is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I love this place they do such a amazing job in repairing my car. I go to no other place but them! You can honestly trust them and their prices are very affordable. Let me start with this, I m a car guy and prefer to do my own repairs. Owner and management here have always helped me out on jobs where I don t have the tools to do it myself. They are fair, honest, and do good quality work. They don t give me any special treatment that they don t already give everyone else. I ve sat there and listened to many conversations with customers who have been tricked by others and come for a second opinion. They do their best to speak at an intelligible level, not over your head.Last year they helped with an AC replacement, with limited parts availability. This year, two months after the part warranty went out, the AC died catastrophically. I took it in and got same day replacement. I am shocked. I had no expectation that it would be possible to do it that fast. They were very fair and lent a hand in bringing their price down as it is holidays and they felt bad that the only available replacement part last year was not as good as it should have been. Parts go out too soon, otherwise we wouldn t need auto repair. No blame on LoneStar whatsoever.I can t thank them enough. I don t think they understand how much that helps me right now to not pay full price, and especially being well under dealer pricing.

I have gotten my car repaired at Lonestar multiple times and I have always been satisfied with the quality of their work. They are dependable and get the job done in a timely manner. Their prices are very reasonable. The owner and son are honest and hardworking. Most recently, when my car needed brake repairs right before a long road trip the team at Lonestar helped get my car fixed and ready to go in less than a day. I always recommend them to my family and friends because I trust the work they do.

First class individual Father and Son duo. So nice with a lot of class.Very hospitable let me do my remote work without bothering me and I appreciate that.Had to get my brakes fixed on my Porsche Cayenne .Service was amazing he got me in and out . I would definitely use this repair shop again. When my car wouldn t start, I had to have it towed. I dropped the car off in the parking lot and placed the keys in the drop box after 9pm. My family and i have been going to Lonestar auto repair for years, the owner and his son are honest/humble people. They will never overcharge you. I take all my car there from my BMW to Toyota to Lexus.to honda.They back there work and do a really good job for a low price !!!Other shops in Katy rip you off.I have been going to this place for years and have recommended them to my friends and they all loved it.They do all kind of engine work.TRUST ME GO TO THEM !!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Wheel alignment

When you come across someone that is� honest and trustworthy why would look for another. I have lived in the area for 15yrs. I have� been a customer� for 15 years.� The owner also� referred me to someone for a� service he did not offer, I was not disappointed.� My father is� a customer,� a few friends , and now my son. A new driver in the house� means another loyal customer for LoneStar Auto repair.� Try em. You wont be disappointed.

I have taken 3 different vehicles here and have never been disappointed. I knew what work the cars and truck needed, but simply did not have time to make the repairs myself. I was greeted with sincerity, honesty and welcomed. I would recommend Lone Star Auto for any repair as some repairs I had done were complicated. The prices are fair and reasonable and the work was completed on time. Thanks Lone Star!

No respect for customer service at all. I purchased brake pads in NOV 2016. The very next day they started making noise so I took my car back and they changed some parts saying that it was fault and giving me an impression as if they were doing me additional favor free of cost whereas I paid $ 350 for this in first place. Anyways, they gave me a 12 month warranty for brake pads and associated issues. Last week, the brakes started making noise again so I went back to them for inspection. After checking they told me that the rotors needs to be changed and advised me an extra $ 400 bill. I didn't argue and went for more opinions from other repair shops. I had the brakes inspected at Firestone and Toyota DonMcgil. Both said that when the brakes were installed first time the repair shop didn't resurface the rotors which a general practice and now the brake pads are also wearing out a lot quicker. I went back to these guys with printed report and the owner simply refused saying we don't do resurface its a bad practice and in addition he said I have 30+ years of experience and no one does resurfacing of rotors not even the certified car dealers. To that I said, I have got same opinion from Toyota and he just started giving weird responses leading to no support at all and there I am with a new bill for new brake pads with rotors resurfacing. All those who had good experience I am sure they must had good experience and they are honest but I am also giving an honest review. Please make sure before you make big spending on this shop.

Since i moved to Katy i have had some trouble finding an honest mechanic. I'm from out of state but i have experience in working on cars. When i went in for a routine oil change elsewhere, i was told i needed $1,700 worth of work and fast. I knew it wasn't accurate. I came in to this shop near the end of the day and talked to Joe. I didn't tell him about the other shop but i mentioned i may have this problem and I'd be interested in having it fixed. He checked it thoroughly (which i had already done personally) and he told me there was nothing wrong at all. I asked if he was sure and he said "yes, i don't steal money from people. You don't have a problem but feel free to come back if you need any work done in the future." Rarely do you see such honesty with a mechanic. He could have easily taken my money because i told him I came there willing to have the work done. That must be why this shop is packed with customers when i drive by. Integrity like that is hard to find in this industry. This shop is further away for me to get to, but i'll make the drive knowing I can trust these guy. Thanks Joe, you just made yourself my go-to-shop for all my future auto work.

If your car needs service, than this is the place to take it. The owner and staff are all courteous and professional. They know their business and know how to take care of your car and you. With mobility issues, it is difficult for me to get around. The owner made sure I could pull up as close as possible and helped me in and out of my car. A very service-minded organization with honest, caring and knowledgeable personnel.When you leave, you feel save and secure, knowing your vehicle has been properly serviced. I am never ignored or spoke down to when I take my car to Lonestar Auto Repair. He always finds me the lowest price for my parts and my repairs are handled quickly and with quality service. He takes the time to explain and show me exactly what repairs were completed. He is a honorable man that stands by his word. So grateful for all Lonestar Auto Repair has done for me.
