I don't get all the positive reviews. I had a Groupon for brakes and called to make an appointment. They don't pick up the phone, they call you back when you leave a message. I got there at noon as scheduled to find a closed warehouse in an otherwise empty field. I called and called for half an hour while waiting in my car and no one answered. I contacted Groupon for a refund and went elsewhere for service.

Went in with Groupon for brake repair. Mechanic took picture & showed me brakes were fine. What I needed was Replace Wheel Hub And Bearing Assembly both sides and Replace Stabilizer Bar Link. THOSE pictures were horrifying. they even offered financing option with zero interest for 100 days and no credit check!! I also needed bodywork for accident (another shop had given me estimate for $2900). Which they did beautifully even tinted windows, for over $1000 less than other shop's estimate!! I can't even imagine what could've happened if I hadn't gone to Discount auto with my car. I trust them 100% And my car is 17 year old Saturn. NOT easy to get parts for. All was done in 4 days. These guys are honest, but they need to be more professional and quickly in repairing job. I had to wait for long time to get my car done. Generally, it is good place for fixing car or oil change too

It is becoming more and more rare that companies truly prioritize customer service. I was having a terrible day. People make mistakes and car issues are rarely expected. We thought it was one issue but it turned out to be both front wheel bearings. I was having a bad customer service experience, partly because I have been taken advantage of and over charged from other mechanics in the past and it s caused me to be distrustful. The manager at Discount Car Care Katy Mills called me and apologized. Right off the bat before asking me any questions. Just apologized for the fact that I was having a bad customer service experience. Then he went above and beyond to turn my experience into a positive one. Got parts delivered over a holiday weekend and got me back on the road asap. These guys are awesome! Highly recommend! Customer for life.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I bought a wheel alignment online and called to schedule my car. I told him I had a Miata which was stock height (you can find the height online). Haven t done anything to it. I arrive on my scheduled day and the guy mentioned he can t work on my car. At this point I could ve been told this earlier so I could ve gone elsewhere.I asked for a refund and it took a few follow ups to get processed. Chris did mention another location of theirs to take my car but I m not going to waste more time and gas when I m being charged the same thing. Not to mention I saw a deal on Groupon and reached out to them by their email since that s what contact was given to me. Never got an answer back.Really sketchy business. Also they have a dying aquarium in the office. Things just seemed out of place

Small business owner with great service and staff that is professional but so friendly. They were great at explaining issue and working with me on finding a solution that fit my budget. They will be honest and tell you what to prioritize when other places shock you with that laundry list of car problems that make you consider getting rid of the whole car. Bought 2 Groupons for this place for brakes and an alignment, got really good deals. Go up there to make an appointment on a Friday. Everything goes great, nice young lady helps me. I get confirmation text message. Appointment Monday at 11am. Show up Monday. No one knows about my appointment, was told the young lady was new and messed up my appointment. They don't have the parts. I'll have to come back, some one will call with a date they will have parts so I can set appointment. Wednesday afternoon, no one's called so I call to see what's going on with the parts. The "owner" answers and I tell him what's going on, he gets defensive and says whoever messed up my appointment and whoever didn't call isn't important, he does know who did that and he swears he's lol that matters and he's going to "fix" it. Show up Thursday at 12 for an inspection of brakes and alignment, still no guarantee of parts. I show up Thursday at the requested time and was told I couldn't use my Groupons they have a 1 voucher per car per year limit. Even though the last time I'd been there was over a year and a half ago. And I have a different car. I point this out and the guy said he can only go on what the notes say. Horrible service, gave me the runaround for almost a week then told me the deal I purchased was no good. It's a scam, don't go to this place.

First time visiting Discount Car Care Katy Mills location. Christian took care of my vehicle today, and he was awesome. Great customer service. Quick oil change and tire rotation. He kept me well informed of what the processes were. Great prices. Definitely will be back.

Not sure if they changed locations but this particular address is closed. Shop is empty. Phone number don't work anymore. If they did changed locations, they should update it if they want to keep their customers.

Second trip to Discount Car Care Katy Mills location in the past month. Christian took care of my vehicle both visits. Great customer service. Quick oil change, brake inspection/flush and replaced headlamp assemblies. Christian kept me informed of what to expect at each visit . Affordable prices and high regards for quality. Pat, Nhat and Christian did a phenomenal job communicating with us and repairing my son's 2008 Honda Civic. I called them from Austin, TX and they were able to drive to my son's work in Katy, pick up his car, send us a quote, order the needed parts, fix the car and have it back to him before his shift ended! They had to replace the AC control unit and also were able to fit in replacing the broken trunk lock/actuator. The costs were reasonable. My son was so impressed with their professionalism and the repairs. I wish these guys were in Austin , I would definitely take my 2016 Ford Edge to them for repair. I have had nothing but good interactions with the workers at the shop. They have went the extra mile, not only on communicating but also making sure while my car was being worked on that not only me but my son was comfortable. Very friendly staff and would recommend to anyone.

I took my car for wheel alignment , it was only $55 and very cheap. But I lost my money as it didn t help my car. I told them about this and they got me another appointment next day but refused to honor it. Please don t lose your money!!The owner replied to my post blaming me for incorrect information.There is nothing incorrect info that I gave.I just shared my experience.

Christian is most definitely the best mechanic there is! Very affordable and hands on with you and your vehicle. Gives amazing updates and is great on timing. Will have you in and out in no time! You won t regret bringing your car to this Car Care!

This is a small shop but they are very professional and willing to help in any way they can. I can sit and wait and they have the chairs spaced out for our safety. They don't wear masks but I have mine on. The guy who helped me fixedy windshield wipers and gave me a great deal. Their prices are by far the BEST in town, even without a Groupon!! Check them out!!

This review is for the 2nd time that I went there. It was ok. I had to wait about an hour or more because the brake pads were not available on site, I guess. But I didn't know that until Christian told me that it was coming, but I was already waiting for quite a bit. Before he told me that, I thought they were already working on it. So anyway, I just waited it out. I went to groupon to purchase a deal so I saved about $20. I really don't know how bad the rotors were, but at first I was under the impression that it had, had to be changed for the brake pads to work. But in the end, it turned out that it could just be the brake pads. So instead of $285.00, it was just the price i paid for groupon. He did tell me they would not warranty it, so that was clear. It didn't bother me to wait because I had nothing else to do for the day, but it would have been better if I was informed beforehand. I don't know why, but I felt more confident the first time I went there when Billy helped me. That's the reason why I returned there anyway.Service: Brakes

The owner was very kind and time efficient! My car brake pads were fixed within an hour and the Groupon special didn t have any secret limitations or hidden fees. I d definitely come again!

So I got a Groupon for an oil change and went in on the 20th and was told to come back on the 21st at 12. So I called up there to see if I could come in sooner and was told without appointment they would not service my car and then proceeded to tell me that it would take 45 minutes plus to change oil. When I questioned about the timeframe the man then started yelling at me over the phone accusing me of telling him how to run his business and stating the I accused him of not knowing how to do his job and that they were slow which was not the case. Just wanted to know why it took so long for an oil change. Then was told to get a refund and take my business elsewhere highly recommend not using this establishment when you can t even ask a question and they get hostile and yell and they haven t even touched my car.

2nd time going to get oil change, coupon through Groupon, and always quick and cost effective service. Had issue with check engine and did diagnostic at no cost. I got a detailed explanation of issue with option of not fixing and fixing, cost, and time to replace. Great service with great pricing.

Worker had attitude first and second time we visited. We used a Groupon and they couldn t confirm what type of oil they put it until they saw the voucher. And then have the nerve to charge us $10 to screw a filter in. So much for a discount ! Ended up paying almost the same as going to the dealer where you actually get free coffee

Service was good. Delivery brought the wrong pads twice, but that could very easily have been autozones mistake. I ended up being in there for 5 hours to replace pads and a rotator on the front end. The quite I got over the phone was not honored although it did sound a little too good to be true. I was told that the $89.99 online proce was for all four brakes and they told me another $90 would replace both front rotors. Of course that wasn't the case when I got to the shop.

The person that made the oil change was Wen. Finally, when I had time to come back to "Discount Car Care", I realized that he forgot to put the o-ring to the oil filter based on his own explanation. That made the oil leak, and I had to put in almost two gallons to recover the proper level. In the end, Wen (or "Discount Car Care") never took the responsibility to compensate for the money I've spent (in almost two oil gallons), avoiding more damages to my car. Even though I insist, he told me his boss would call me to search for a solution. But they never called and were never interested in my case.When you go for an oil change, you do it because you are not mechanic and need for the appointment they will confirm and thinking everything should go under the procedure. In the end, Wen told me that was my fault because meanwhile (I was trying to understand why of the leaking and trying to have time to return to the merchant), I've never called.I can not recommend this Discount Car Care at Katy MillsService: Oil change

Kiet was the most outstanding young man I ve had the pleasure to meet in this business. And I MEAN that. I previously had my breaks (front and rear) done at his other shop off of FM 1960, and upon hearing he was also at the Katy Mills location, I went and made the 45 minute drive from my home just to have my state inspection done with him. He s treated my car and me with the utmost respect. That doesn t come standard with most people! He was even good with my special needs son. He s all around awesome! 5 stars for both Discount Car Care locations, and Kiet! Thank you!!

The place was really nice. Was in and out within 30mins. Didnt smell like a shop which was a plus. Didnt use the restroom, but the lobby was clean. Got my car in, did the job. Gave me tips on upcoming maintenance, and sent me on my way. Would recommend to others and will be back myself

They give out the best deals for around the area and the service there is great. Not much of a car person they were able to break it down for me to help me understand what needed to be done. Will definitely be going here from now.

Do not use this business. I m all about promoting small business and is the reason I went to have work done here during covid. this place I have been dealing with since July. They are running scams and having non licensed people working on vehicles. They have had my vehicle over 4 weeks total between July and February/March and my car has never been fixed. Please sure you share this with other katy friends. Don t use them!Service: Brakes
