Crystal was excellent as far as helping me with the price, but ended up having to bring it back over another small problem, and they had me fixed up right away. So far the transmission is working as it should, and I have no complaints about the quality of their work. Thank you all at Ideal Transmission for helping me.

Buyer beware. They claim to know what they re doing but they don t. How are they still in business? Read all the reviews and ask around town especially in the annex building where they hold arbitration. Just ask them how many times a month they see them in there. It ll blow your mind! They had my truck 4 times for over 6 months and drove it (without my permission) to silsbee Toyota and was told it was a bad transmission and flashing it will do nothing but they ignored them and gave it back to me still with a bad transmission. I got part of my money back thankfully from arbitration or who knows how long it would ve taken if I went with the judges ruling. Save yourself money, time, and frustration and do yourself a favor by avoiding this place like a plague!

My wife got her transmission rebuilt less than a year and a half ago with these guys and it's already starting to fail again. Poor craftsmanship at its finest. They should close there doors with the work they are producing. I definitely regret using there services and don't recommend anyone go to them.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

They tell you one price is cheap then I put the car in the shop take your transmission out and then tell you some outrageous price or you're not going to get your car back believe me I've been there

Do not use these guys.I am a 1988 graduate of JHS and my mother is 83 years old. Ideal Transmission is the only game in a small town and know it. My mother s 2014 Nissan vehicle suddenly started shaking and couldn t shift properly. She would turn it off for a while and it work but the problem started again later. She Took it to Ideal Transmissions and they said it needed replacing and they couldn t find another one so they would have to rebuild the original for $6600. That didn t pass the smell test so we had them put the parts in the back (in buckets) and my family hauled the vehicle to Huntsville to a family friend s transmission business. The Huntsville Transmission repair shop was very surprised at the $6600 price and found 3 replacement transmissions in 15 minutes. The total cost at the Huntsville shop was $2700. My mom drove it for two days in Huntsville and in a parking lot it did the exact same thing as the original problem. When we took it back to the Huntsville shop they found it had at least one bad relay and that the book suggested to replace both. The cost for the relays were $300. Those are the facts, make your own judgements.

They charged me 3600 for the transmission to be rebuilt then another 125 for a sensor they said was bad. However I got my truck back and then I had no break lights at all. I carried it back to them to get things checked checked out on fluids and to inform them on the light problems that I'm having now and they wanted to keep driving it for another few days and told me to bring it back then so they could check it out. I'm very unhappy with the work and the price that I've paid. Will buy a new one next time for half price at oriellys and do it myself.

We were passing through Jasper and our service transmission light came on in our motorhome. The shop was able to diagnosis and fix the censor all in the same day. Honest, quick service!

Let me start by saying my son s car broke down 4 hours away from home. It could have been a TOTAL nightmare trying to have it repaired that far from home. However, the process was so smooth and painless from the initial call when I spoke to Terry, to each subsequent conversation when I spoke with Brian for various reasons from getting the car to the shop, to the diagnosis, to authorizing repairs, to expectations as to when it would be completed, and then when it actually was ready (which was EARLIER than projected!!). Brian went above and beyond what was expected, even meeting my husband and son after hours, on a Friday evening, to pick up the car! I cannot say enough positive things about Brian (and Ideal Transmission)! Highly recommend!!Service: Transmission

They fixed my transmission great! However they could use some work on how to talk to customers... I have never done business anywhere in my life where my concerns were so unimportant and where I was treated like I didn't matter.

Ideal completely rebuilt my old manual transmission. They did a great job tracking down the parts. It now works like new plus a one year guarantee.

I ain't have no experience there and at the prices they was wanting to charge me I want have any experience there and when I told them it was a manual transmission and they kept telling me they will check fluid and check the bands in it I dont think they need to look at my manual transmission
