Finished having my lunch after picking up my windshields at Mygrant. I blow on my machine and it says violation so I blow a few other times till finally it lets me turn my truck on. Now I m headed to smart start cause this is not the first time this has happened and they are making me pay the violation. Don t come here find someone else to get this done! This place makes their money from this here! Don t come here this place is a Fraud! I have an auto glass business as well but this place here is no good!

Even though I try and show up for my calibration early in the morning this place somehow still ends up having a huge line of cars going towards the street. They should set up and be able to do calibration in the 2 garages depending on the scheduled installation for the days. Having to wait in line for almost 4 hours just for a 15 minute calibration is a waste of time and gas. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!

even though having an interlock is annoying as hell, these guys at this location WORK HARD and are always friendly when I come in. they are also easy on the eyes if you know what I mean. they don't allow the line to be crazy long without servicing you in the bay areas. so far, the best location.

I took my vehicle two hours early to be sure I was on time. This shop completed the work did not call me to tell me my vehicle was completed. When I was called a team member stated they would stay until I was there to pick up my vehicle. That team member left did not advise he was leaving. I drove over an hour when I get there building locked my vehicle was left outside unlocked. I could not get my vehicle until the next day and the sales team misrepresented cost of install. They schedule the recalibration appointments for people with no rhyme or reason in the app and today I was told you're just able to come in whenever. I thought it was really weird when I pulled up for my 10:45 appointment and there was a line of vehicles, so I asked the clerk guy and he said "oh we just put random times really, you can come by whenever"This place is a joke. They also had me scheduled for another appointment in the app for 2 days later on a Sunday when they were closed which turned out to be an error. Then after I left I realized they scheduled my next recalibration appointment for 4 days after the one I just did and it's supposed to be once a month. Good luck getting a phone call through to the actual office too, the automated call will send you in circles forever.Highway robbery every month having this thing and the staff is underwhelming at best.

Had an installation today at the Irving shop and everything went great, experience was better then expected. Gentlemen who trained me, I believe his name was Chris was very knowledgeable and professional. Overall not a bad experience.

I arrived at the Smart Start Ignition Interlock (4848 Plaza Dr, Irving, TX 75063) location where Draeger Technician: George Deleon had personally scheduled my next interlock calibration appointment for Wednesday September 6, 2023 at 3:00pm. As I arrived on time, there were no Draeger Technicians and since Draeger Technician: George Deleon had failed to be present to calibrate my interlock device in the scheduled time of need, a Smart Start Technician told me to get my interlock device calibrated at the Haltom City, TX location (the only Smart Start Ignition Interlock center with a Draeger Technician available to calibrate my interlock device that day). I had called Smart Start in an attempt to reschedule but after being put on a long hold, I had to obligate (to avoid any fees/ fines & interlock device lockouts), to drive an additional (one hour) commute to the Haltom City, TX location (battling the DFW traffic) and another (one hour) commute back to Dallas. All the miles, gas & wear on my tires just for a 10-15 minute interlock calibration that should've originally been calibrated in Irving, TX as was scheduled. Unbelievable!

I have been going to this location in Irving for quite some time now, over 2 years. The hours are 8-5pm which does not permit working class citizens to take care of there monthly commitments to Smart Start after working hours. This is a huge inconvenience. Please be prepared to wait in line over an hour any day of the week this place is operating. I went to this place on my lunch break at 1pm on a Wednesday, it took me 12m to get there from my home and I didn't make it home until 3pm. You do the math! When I pulled up to the window after waiting over an hour and 20m I wasn't even greeted with a "Hello". They need to revise there service hours and subpar customer service.

Went in about 10 minutes late the first time, and although I understand I was late, it was my first day of my college semester so I couldn t leave classes early. They refused to help me and made me reschedule over the phone. When I went the next time, I waited for over 20 minutes to be helped and finally they got the ball rolling. This is a terrible company that has pretty subpar customer service.

Probably the only location that can install on an EV. Took the time to figure it out seamlessly. Had an issue with my control console after my install. It was repaired immediately. Very happy with the way my wife and I were treated with honesty and no smoke blowing. Friendly and courteous to get through a difficult situation by having a device installed on your car.

Staff is very uneducated. Would reccommed making the sacrifice to drive to a futher location if possible for first time installment. Unproffessional and even worse cutomer service for people who are forced to be customers. It almost seems like they are working off of commission, it's that much of a scam. A lack of care in just about everything. It's a shame they let this staff handle an operation as important as this. I believe they are the ones who are inebriated, with what they believe they can get away with. And based on the recent reviews. This staff seems like the downfall of this location. Only 11 more grueling months to go with these people...

The employees here are very welcoming and was very professional about the whole situation. Walk me through everything step by step and answered any concerns I had. The way Smart Start operates is much better then a few other companies that I had came by. To be honest I had to request transferring my remaining time that was required to have an interlock device from another company to Smart Start just because Smart Start had better offer and better services. I will do what ever is required by law but doesn t mean I have to be miserable doing so by staying with a company that doesn t serve me well. So another word in my view Smart Start is the way to go. Hopefully this help someone out there to make a better choice on the company services they choice to service them .

This place is an absolute JOKE. How do you expect people working a Monday-Friday job to come on a Saturday while you re only open 9-1??? And closed on Sundays!! Not to mention once you get there expect to sit in over an HOUR LONG LINE!! There has to be a more proficient way to speed this process up especially when people are spending over $70 a month on this service that we re forced into by the courts for some people YEARS. This company needs to do better about store hours and these long lines people have to wait hours in.

Horrible customer service and product.You can't get through to anyone on the phone that just runs you in circles. I'm sitting in front of a closed shop at 8:25am and Google says that they're busy. There's no sign on the door implying that they're closed and you can't reach locations directly so there's no way I can verify if another location is open before I waste another 45 minutes trying to get this done. Never do this to your employees.45 minutes on the phone before I got someone in Canada (I'm in Texas) and they couldn't even tell me if anything was open and just sent me back to the automated loop.The product keeps failing, I've had it now 3months and they've replace the cord twice and the handheld once.The blower says I'm not blowing when I am and constantly giving me errors.The only thing consistent is the irritation it brings you by its inconsistent readings. I don't even drink.

This location got started on my car early and were very professional. Even finished up my install way before the time it was said it would take to complete. They made me feel comfortable with the handling of my devise. Looking forward to seeing them soon.

Great Service and Friendly Staff. I'm happy to announce that after 3 years of being a 'mandatory' customer I finally got the interlock removed from my car. This location has a convenient drive up window where a red-shirt employee attends you. The process is not that bad as long as you make your payments on time and NOT drink! Thank you guys for helping me these past 3 years. Best of luck to everyone else.

I didn't "choose" smart start ... I was court ordered to so don't get too big of a head up there Ron. That being said the service was quick and professional. Everyone was exceptionally helpful and I have to say the quality of the guys I spoke with and did the work was top notch.Honestly impressed,Thanks guys.

So unprofessional I called Saturday for my appointment that was due that day. And the person I spoke with over the phone from this location offered me an extension to pay on my next appointment since I didn t have the funds. & when I get here today 10/07/19 the manager tries to get an attitude with me saying no one said anything because no one is authorized to give extensions. This is really unprofessional for someone to give false information over the phone. Usually a customer is always right but to the manager it seemed like if I was throwing lies at his face. I think they need to check their employees instead of trying to argue back with a customer who was told false information.

Had a couple decent interactions with staff but be prepared to deal with a lot of BS when they make a mistake(and they will). When a company's customers are forced to be customers then there isn't a huge need for great customer service. This company will lie, cheat, and steal from you because there's nothing you can do about it. Sad

I sold my car 3 weeks ago and made an appointment to have the interlock moved over. Luckily the dealership worked with me. After giving Smart Start all the info on my new car I show up only to have them tell me they are unable to switch the device. Now I am out of work a half day. One car is an hour away and I still don t have the blower on. The dealership is wanting to sell my car but can t with the interlock still on it and I m stuck in the middle. I have called and tried to use the app with no luck.

I got right in with no wait. All the guys in there were friendly and thoroughly showed me how to use it and let me know if I have questions to give them a call.

Interlock was installed 1/26/21. Demo of how to use it was very clear. During the installation and demo and payment I was always asked if I had any questions several times to make sure I understand how everything works. There were no issues driving home even during the rolling tests. I didn't get a holder for the interlock because they ran out so I hope to get one after my first calibration visit.

Attempted to contact a specific location today. Was hearing automated phone directions for approximately 4-5 minutes. Finally able to speak to a live person. Person gave me a direct phone number for the location. The given phone number was of a different area code hinting the number was most likely a cell phone. Called the number and was directed to a automated message stating the number does not have a voice mail... Long story short, it's pretty much impossible to reach someone at the locations.

If you have to do it, at least this company is polite about it. Staff is professional. And to all of the new people out there: there is no way they can install it wrong and cause you to blow any kind of alcohol level. That isn't how it works.

It s decent on services during the week but Saturdays are the worst days to come. It s the only location open on Saturdays and everyone comes here. Plan to be in line for a few hours.

this is the second time ive had the displeasure of dealing with this company. I have in in-home device and after a 12 hour day at work the device popped me at .07. The First time i dealt with them i had a vehicle lock for a DUI, i own that charge but the installer put in in wrong and refused to own up to it so it constantly violated. There is something really fishy about all this. I was AT WORK FOR 12 HOURS and it popped me at .07?
