I just want to give everyone 5 stars I went in on Monday to do a state inspection in that process one of the men told me I needed a tune up I felt like I had needed one but hadn t gotten it confirmed yet. I am a single mother who hates dealing with mechanics they have a bad reputation when it comes to women. I went home and price checked around to see how much the average tune up is and slicks had the best price! I went back and got it done my car is driving so much better now! I m still dealing with the state inspection but even in that they all patiently explained to me why that was happening so I have to go back but I feel I m in the right hands!

Do not take your vehicle here!! They are scam artist. I took my 2020 challenger here for an inspection in June 23. They told me my headlight was out and needed replacement. They ordered the part and then stated hours later " they couldn't fix the problem so didn't charge me for the bulb but still charged $250. The next day I took it to the clay cooley dealership. "They say there's nothing wrong with your headlight " the fuse was out and was replaced in 2 minutes. TAKE MY ADVICE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Just moved to Texas and needed to get a state inspection. They did the inspection, and it was fast. They are a full shop too, so I plan to get my front brakes done soon. Good service, friendly and quick.

Horrible customer service, guy was rude from the jump. On top of completely misdiagnosing my car. NEVER repaired anything, but still TRIED to charge me $250. For looking? JOKE.I m not one to write a review, but that s how bad the experience was.

I ve been going to Slick s Shop for 4 years now, and he always gets my baby Michael (My car s name lol) RIGHT!! Very reliable and professional Mechanic shop! I highly recommend!

One day I was driving around, asking around to different shops to see what was wrong with my car because I keep hearing a noise, front passenger side and different shops were telling me it was my axle someone saying it was my low control arm and Some was saying it was my brakes and rotors so my gut was telling me it was neither above so I came across Slicks state inspections so I told them can you figure out what was wrong with my car and the owner say yes we can do that so I told them I m hearing noise in my front passenger tire so they took it to the back. The owner comes back and told me that it was my wheel bearing. so I told him go ahead and fix it and next to you know the nose, When away these people were straight, honest straight forward, so I will definitely come back so I will recommend people to come here.

I used to do service here all the time, but today I came here just Open a screw from name plate, I ask him to give me rench, so I can open it. He said "oh no problem I'm opening for you", and he charge me $20!!I'll never come back again.

I went to this place to get detailing for my car and was charged $120 for the interior and exterior. After 2-3 hours of waiting I went to pick up my car and leave. To my surprise when I got home and checked the car I was in disbelief at the amount of dirtiness in the inside of the car. Please believe the reviews and STAY AWAY from this place. They'll rip you off!

Me and my spouse had gotten a cash car there, almost a month driving car starting acting up, keep in mind still was waiting on title and plates and the car was acting up horrible, so took to three shops to be sure on what it was. 2 shops said the problem being the one other shop saying something different along with paying the check up fee! So I figured for the heck of it I ll contact slicks auto which bought from full cash, told the guy what was going on with it told us to bring it there and did so we re telling him and showing him the papers and said this ant nothing there wrong that he has Mercedes going up there for business. So okay sure do your thing and let me know what you think and he said he understood what the problem was and going with the car, so the next day I get call saying it fixed drive off, okay cool taking off work early be there shortly and I ask to speak the owner that was working on the car and and one of the reps said he s in back busy working on other cars, I said I ll wait and he says one sec walks away and calls him to tell him I said I m waiting here so I can what yall did and how was fixed. Went back and said I m out of town have a nice day. Drove off and soon as drove the car broke down and didn t ask if we re even okay. How rude n lame these scammers are, I went back and looked at the car myself found that the spark and coil packs were never changed out and full of oil due to valve cover failure and took a picture and showed them and said that looks fine and drive it. Like what are you crazy clearly there s the problem, and also come to find out why they didn t change it was because the one cylinder hole threads were messed up and won t have a secure connection for the pressure so now I m out without a car and possible transmission! But said was good cuz they said they did a fluid and transmission change but if your a good mechanic should of know a good car with 135,00 miles and old year you don t do that fluid change. I don t care who you care try me.Do not buy from here! I ll say again do not and the customer was rude and sucked, along with a message to spouse saying better luck next time your crazy nothing wrong with it just you. I have proof fill free people to ask me for the all proof, to the customers only not reps or owner, cuz all you do is come up with any reason so say your good to cover your so good wanna be called business no yall look at review and comments the owner come up with excuse to make and look how he or she is being rude on the comments. So don t even reply to this without further explanation and questions and further actions.

I can t even begin to explain the amount of disrespect And lack of moral character the owner has for his customers. My girlfriends 20 year-old son had taken his vehicle up there to get looked at due to engine trouble. He was told by the owner that based on his description of the issue that the problem was his axle without even looking at his car or test driving it he then said that there were four cars in front of him, and as soon as a spot became available, he would get looked at if at all. I showed up after 15 minutes after my girlfriend son had gotten there and found my girlfriend son sitting in his car, waiting his turn to be seen. As a mechanic myself, I wanted to go and do a quick overview of his engine while he was waiting in line to be seen. I was in the process of lifting his hood up to do a quick inspection of the engine when the owner walked right up to us and asked what we were doing on his property and repeatedly said that this is private property. What are we doing there? having just spoken to my girlfriend son 15 minutes prior I was under the impression that the owner is making a joke, but he was dead serious. I was completely confused, because why else would we be at his auto repair shop but to have my girlfriends car looked at. My girlfriend son, then said I am waiting in line to have my car be seen just like you told me too. The owner then repeated that this is private property and why am I looking under the hood for on his property ? By this time, I see that the owner has some sort of issue with us for no reason and all that I can think of, now I m getting upset. I then turn to my girlfriend son and tell him get back in the car we re leaving and we will be taking our business elsewhere. It s just very difficult to explain the bizarre and extreme rudeness of the owner in this situation That he would treat customers in such a fashion is beyond me. My father is and has been A mechanic for over 40+ years and I have been to many auto repair shops over the years and never have I ve been treated by a Mechanic, or in this case, the owner and such a horrible fashion. And the fact that we were actually recommended to go here by a friend is baffling. The fact that he would just diagnose A car issue without even looking at the car itself coupled with the fact of his rudeness I would highly recommend not going to this repair shop at all, if you can help it. After reviewing a lot of the reviews on his website, I m not surprised.

Don't ever go to this place, very unprofessional, money hungry and will not even check your car,I brought my car here to replace a belt and now I'm left with a dead engine because of poor maintenance, i kept going back to the shop for overheating issues i never had before bringing the car there.

I came in for a state inspection initially 2 years ago it was fast and easy, this year I came back again got that done got an oil change, on top of that I needed A LOT of body work on my car. The owner came out from the start and offered to help me. Gave me an accurate estimate and within a week and half my car was fixed. Got the tires done with them too. Sanad the owner and his father are real good folks. I am glad I found this place. 5 out of 5 recommend.Services: Auto body & trim repair, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations, Oil change

This place is awesome! The best place to get all your mechanic needs taken care of the RIGHT WAY! Plus while I was there I got a detail on my truck that has my babu looking brand new again, thanks SLICKS!

I absolutely was relieved with the amount of service that was provided at this location. The gentleman and his team were constantly reassuring me and (patiently) explained every outcome and the reasoning for it all. This wonderful team got my car looking right again! I was rear ended pretty bad and they fixed it like new in no time at all! They also gave me a rental which made it a whole lot easier. This really is a ONE STOP shop. This was my first time using their services and it will deffinetly not be the last!I m so happy to be able to drive around in a car that looks immaculate. This is a family owned business and everyone who I interacted with made sure I was taken care of! I had a high mileage oil change and I had 2 tires replaced. It was done very fast and efficiently. Also, the service wasn t over priced. My car was in this shop for 3 weeks. Took entire payment for the estimate provided by insurance claim in 2nd week but didn't even replace the part/s that they estimated and took money for.The day they called me to pickup the car they made me wait 3 hours since they were waiting for screws and still ended up using zip ties instead of actual screws. When I ask for the receipt, owner said the receipt is whatever Insurance estimated amount is. So I didn't even get any receipt. Conclusively, I found this place absolutely dishonest and shady.I regret my decision to authorize this shop with Insurance to get my car fixed. I cannot in my right mind recommend this shop to anyone for any vehicle work.Service: Body & Trim

I had a vehicle detail performed on a used Ford. The vehicle was so clean it was unrecognizable. The team is very friendly and the workmanship is amazing. I highly recommend them.

Finally found an honest mechanic who is service oriented and customer friendly to provide an outstanding service at almost 80% less than what dealer service would charge. The Family owned business run by father and his son's provide customers with honest opinion on what it would really cost than finding an opportunity to charge extra. Due to heavy demand of cars coming in there is a room for improvement to keep less waiting time for customers. These folks repair all kind of cars, yes including luxury cars such as Mercedes, BMW and Land Rover and you name it. I strongly recommend this mechanic for your repair needs.

I went here for my detailing. To be honest the car was in very rough shape. The owners went above and beyond to get the car clean, especially the seats. The did a fabulous job overall. I highly recommend this place for any type of cleaning or repairs. The owners are very humble and nice people.

let me start with my story. i moved to TX few days ago for good. i needed to transfer my car registration to the state of TX and an inspection was required to do that. i googled inspection near me and went there. one of the guy who worked there did inspection. its a 2016 car with roughly 30,000 miles. he said the front 2 tires are bad and have to be changed and marked fail on my inspection(later Hyundai dealership said were in decent condition). he asked me to buy 2 used tires from his place for $100 and said its a cheaper deal. i bought it. when he tried to install the tier and said i had to go to Hyundai dealership as he can t open the lock and gave those tires for $90 instead. i went to Hyundai dealership directly from there and the maintenance tech there said : the 2 tiers won t fit and someone messed up with the lock on the rim. this was the first time i have someone worked on the tier (don t know who that someone could be).so i called this place again and spoke with the guy. he claimed the tiers are of right size and he didn t mess up with the lock. i asked if i can bring those 2 tiers back to him and he said its not their policy to take items back once sold. he just sold me like 30 mins ago 2 tiers that won t even fit and the worst part is he won t take it back, i even had Hyundai s tech talk to him over the phone. he stole my money. i felt like I was being robbed in a broad day light. $90 is not much but refusing to acknowledge mistake and not taking it back bothered me. i threw $90 in trash today. i am never going to this place again. they are there to snatch your money away like they did with mine!! beware!! I m also thinking abut making an official complaint.

Went there to get my inspection checked and an old change it took almost 4 hours, I was the first person in that day..... They also sold me on a set of 4 tires. I told them I would come in 3 days. Monday for the down payment somehow the price for the quote on the tires had gone up. The installation took over 3 hours. This place is shady becareful. Take pictures. Record conversations. Very shady mechanic shop
