5/5 stars, truly recommend this place, they are all kind and caring and do anything they can to help you, very very affordable and they don t charge an arm and a leg for any work they do, all the staff is very compassionate and care for the customers and not the money, would drive hours just to come to this shop! Very very honest mechanics which is rare to find! Very grateful I found this place! A true gem of a place! They keep you updated with your car every step! 5/5 stars! Never had a problem! They always have fixed my cars and they work amazing after with no problems!

I went to the shop today without an appointment to get my fianc�s car fixed. I was told the alternator had an issue by another company, but I wanted a second opinion from a reliable source. Joe Sr. was able to replace a faulty screw on the battery terminal in just moments, and he did not even charge me for his trouble. I saved hundreds of dollars and got the car working right. My family has known their family for years and I highly endorse Fat Joe s. They are good people doing quality work.

I took my 2014 Chevrolet Cruz in to fat Joe s because I had a check engine light problem. Firestone wanted to charge me $5000 to fix the problems. Fat Joe s charge me $1,800.00 to fix the problem. And not only did they fix it right the first time but they gave me a great warranty of 1 year of parts and labor. That was so cool of them. From now own, they got my business for a life time. I will definitely recommend my friends and relatives to take their cars to Fat Joe s. Oh yes, the staff there are also very friendly. You can t beat that.

I took my girlfriend s car here to get a simple, yet annoying thing fixed and the guys here are incredible, I believe Joey, Joe and Joe Sr. They were so nice and kept me updated by calling me and also called to confirm things as well to make sure they did what I wanted done. Highly recommend and will be back for all my car needs. Also, can t forget their amazing dog, prince! Such a great worker too

I am writing this review in hopes another woman will read it. I m from South Carolina and moved to Texas a year ago, I do not know anyone here, or have a car shop I go to. My 2014 Toyota Corolla was making a sound, I took it in. Upset, because I m scared, nervous, and broke. I m assuming it was joe, who I was helped by. I waited about an hour for them to diagnose the problem. They told me over the phone it was going to be a 65$ fee to tell me the issue. That s fine. So they tell me my alternator is out and the cost was a total of 760$ he quoted me. I look up on google, because like I said I do not know anything about cars. Google said it ranged from 100-700$ so I said ok do it. I talk with my boyfriend who is not a car guy but does know a couple things. He was shocked. Immediately told me not to do it. I was hesitant because I need my car and needed it fixed. I ended up telling them not to do it. He told me usually people who try and fix things themselves tend to break it, also told me I had a one year warranty, and I won t get that anywhere else. Anyways, my bf has a mechanic on his work team and turns out it was not the alternator. It was my water pump. Long story short, I ended up getting a new alternator a new water pump, a whole tune up on my car, a lifetime warranty on both the alternator and water pump, (bought at oreileys, and auto zone) for less than 500$ my car runs and drives beautifully and I m not out almost 800$ and my car is actually fixed correctly! do not take your car to this place if you can help it. A few years ago, my transmission went kablooey! I had an older-model car and the dealership wanted to charge me more than the Blue Book value of the car to fix it. I was in a serious jam because I didn t have much money to spend on a transmission replacement nor the luxury of not having a car. Fast forward, I luckily tumble onto Fat Joe s Auto and Transmission Repair in Irving, TX! Not only did they do a fantastic job with replacing the transmission, but I paid a fraction of the cost of what the dealership was going to charge me. Ever since then, Fat Joe s has been my go-to place for anything and everything involving my car because they are a full-service auto mechanic. They are an honest, high-quality car repair service that cares about their customers, and I found them to be full of integrity and very fair with their prices. Most of all, I found this family-based business to be full of Goodness because I noticed throughout many years how their customers always leave with a big smile on their faces because they go well beyond good service. Nonetheless, if you are looking for a top-notch, customer service experience, Fat Joe s Auto is a MUST!!

We were first quoted 662 for an alternator swap based on pre inspection information. It turned out to be the tensioner pulley, belt, and battery, which all three of these come to the cost of the new alternator. We were quoted just under 1000 to fix those things. I'm sorry that is way too much 400 extra in labor costs no thank you. I am towing the car home and doing it myself. Edit: I would like to add this business everyone is respectful and by no means seem dishonest at all, I personally did not agree with the quote is all. I would recommend this auto shop. Of course with all things do your research.

As a woman, it s always nerve wracking to go to auto shops. However, my experience at Fat Joe s was great! I was able to get my car checked out the same day I called (thanks to the awesome receptionist!). Owner is honest and kind. Throughly explained what was going on with my car and the possible fixes. Thank you Fat Joe s for an exceptional experience! I will definitely keep coming here and recommending this shop to my friends & family!

One thing is for sure, it s extremely hard to find a good honest mechanic, most of the time they try to make money from you. I ve been taking my cars to Fat Joes for 14 years and I ve never been disappointed, they truly care about the customer and their vehicles. They will not try to rip you off as most mechanic garages do, they may suggest that other work may need to be done on your vehicle but they will not pressure you. Once my car broke down and I had no idea what caused it, however, I had my car towed to Fat Joe s. After they looked it over the first thing they did was tell me the truth, that it was a faulty part that they installed on my car months before. I hope you understand they could have told me a lie and charged me a lot of money to replace my engine, but instead, they told me the truth and fixed my car at no charge. The problem was not their mistake, it was a faulty part, I was just truly grateful for their honesty and the fact that they covered the full cost of the very costly repair. Helped replace my license plate after I got a screw stuck. Super fast. When I went to pick my car back up I got to meet their adorable dog, Prince. They then told me they wouldn t charge me for replacing my license plate! I was very grateful. Will be going back if I need help with anything.

My dad has been coming to this shop for over 15 years and over the years he s made the mistake to go to other shops cause every time we come right back here. Now that I ve grown up and gotten my own cars there s no other place I go. They go above and beyond and treat you like family. Highly recommend this place for any problems you have with your car minor or major

My dashboard warning lights had been on for years. No mechanic could figure out what was wrong. 1000s of dollars gone.Joe figured it out and the costs were reasonable.Honest, courteous, kind, fair, skilled.

This shop is fantastic in every way! The staff is very polite, my vehicles are fixed correctly and reasonably priced, and they have a comfortable waiting area.They are understandably very popular, so be sure to call ahead for an appointment.

Went there by recommendation from a family member. Needed a new drive belt, belt tensioner assembly, and state inspection. Dropped it off at 9AM. Got it back same day at 3PM. Nice, knowledgeable, and honest staff, warranties provided, and best of all: they're a small, locally owned business. Tired of the big chains/franchises ripping people off. Fat Joe's muffler shop provides decent service, but there's room for improvement. The muffler work was satisfactory, though not exceptional. Customer service was polite, but the wait time was longer than expected. Prices were reasonable, which is a plus. Overall, it's an okay option for muffler repairs.

I took my GMC truck in for a AC problem they had the truck one day found the problem called me with a price and that fixed it same day ,this is a very well ran and honest Auto Repair shop I was impressed and will be using them in the future I highly recommend them to anyone

I recently moved to Texas from Ohio and it can be extremely nerve racking and challenging finding a new auto repair shop that I can trust. I recently took my newer work truck to Fat Joes and I cannot say enough GREAT things about the entire staff (which is all family) and how thorough and courteous they all were. My experience at Joe's was excellent. I came in for a vehicle inspection, and it only took about 15 min. Everyone there was welcoming, personable, and had great customer service. I'd absolutely recommend going here!

i ran into some bad luck while stopping at the shopping center next door, and I accidentally locked myself out of my car. Luckily, I noticed the repair shop next door. They were extremely courteous and helpful in my time of need. Joe had me back in my car in a few minutes and saved me the cost of a window replacement. Even more amazing, he refused to charge me, even though he was working through his lunch break to help me. Business looked to be booming and I can see why. Huge shout out to the guys at Fat Joe's. I was in town for a brief trip and unfortunately had a wreck. I needed help reattaching my front license plate and showed up right before closing. Not only did they fix my plate, they also took the time to make sure my car was safe for the trip home. I came in because my splash shield at the bottom of my car was broken. They were able to take my car in right away and bolt it back in place within 10 minutes. Our first experience with Fat Joe's was a great one.. We loved their personalities, honesty and work ethics.. They thoroughly explain the issues and fix the problem.. Our car had to be there for a few hours.. They gave us a ride home on there time and came and picked us up.. Very professional and kind.. I would definitely recommend this company to any body who's having car issues.. price is within reason.. They fixed our AC and it's blowing amazing.. Definitely recommend Fat Joe's for any car problems..
