Cody, car doctor is a thief, scammer, and a criminal. He took my money and never did the job. He doesn t have a shop. He left my car at Texas Library in Huntsville parking lot and asked me to tow it to my house because bla bla bla. He came and threw the car keys on the car and speedily drove away. He said he is going to pay back my money, and he never answered my calls again. He is a fraudster and a SCAM!!!!!!! He is known as a scammer, don t let what he s posted online deceive you. A pure talented thief!!!! Desist from car doctor in Huntsville . Don t be scammed as he did to me ..

Update: He spent 2 weeks working on my car and right before he was finished after he had already done really good work my check engine light came on we discussed a plan of action. He said it would cost $482 I sent him the money and he said he was going to come back and work on my car the next day. THAT WAS 5 months ago everything he claimed to have fix wasn t repaired at all I ended up having to take my car to Ford because it wouldn t start.I ve taken my car to Cody on several occasions for repairs and maintenance. He always has affordable prices and keeps me updated while he s working on car. I have yet to have a bad experience with him. I would definitely recommend Cody if you need repairs quickly day or night.

I am not sure what the bad reviews are about, maybe unreal expectations, who knows. I will tell you that Cody answered the phone, met us at AutoZone, and fixed our truck. Keep in mind, it is a SUNDAY!! First time we have ever met him, and he was courteous, and had the tools for the job. Tell you what, it is rare you find someone to work on your car over the weekend, or after hours, and Cody fills this void. Cost was very fair, and we even tipped as the wife and I enjoyed the conversation while he worked on my truck. Truck is good as new again, and Cody will get another customer in us, for sure. Cody is currently serving 10 years in prison for stealing peoples money and promising work to be done to their vehicles. Took my truck to him and it sat there for 2 months without being worked on. Lies about when it will be done and is horrible at communicating. Took my truck somewhere else. Makes you pay before the work is done and have been trying for over a month to get almost $2000 refunded back to me that I gave him and he never did any work for. I wouldn t recommend him to anyone, super unprofessional.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Me and my fianc�e just moved to the Huntsville area and started having car troubles about a month ago and didn't know where to go for good service. Cody was extremely helpful right away and since my car wasn't able to start he came to meet me to diagnose the issue. He was honest about his prices and had no problem breaking down the issue in layman's terms so I could make the best decision. He dropped the car off and brought it back before the end of the day and even fixed an issue with my radio to prevent further issues. If you're looking for a kind, honest repair man Cody is your best bet! Fingers crossed we have no more issues but Cody is our go to guy from now on!

I had a great experience with this mechanic. Cody was very friendly and transparent about the diagnosis and the steps along the repair. Thanks to him and his team, I was able to get back on the road within a few hours after a scare with my check-engine light. Easily the most transparent and friendly auto repair I ve ever worked with.I ve had issues with my break lights for the last 6 months and went to multiple mechanics who replaced the bulbs (only the easy ones) but never mentioned the underlying issues.Cody quickly identified the issues my lights and wiring had, gave me reasonable pricing, and on top of that even delivered the car to me when it was done.I m looking forward to coming back, the quality here definitely beats any chain auto repairs

I found myself in Huntsville Texas on a Friday night with my Truck giving me issues. I had a light come on and then a warning Low Engine oil pressure. I went to Auto Zone to see if they could help. I was lucky enough to meet Cody the Car Doctor. He went over and above what I would have ever hoped for. He had my truck fixed and me back on the road in a couple hours. If your ever in the area and need help call the Car Doctor He saved me tow bill dealership repairs hotel stay. I can't say enough good things about the Car Doctor. Tl:dr Never shows up when he says he will, took my money and won t return it (still waiting on $225 refund), lots of excuses. Save your money and avoid being scammed!!!My car broke down and this was the only person I could find willing to travel to check it out. We assumed a battery issue, and all Cody had to do was replace battery caps. It turned out to be the alternator so we made plans to have that fixed. As soon as we made our first payment, we had issues. He was supposed to come back later that day and he would say he was on his way back to work on the car and wouldn t show up. We would call and it would go to voicemail and then he d call us back with excuses. He didn t end up showing up that night. He also refused to work on it earlier in the day because it was too hot . I tried to be understanding but days literally went by and his communication about why he was taking so long to come back was non existent. We paid him $375 upfront. I ve managed to get $150 of that back as he said he had to wait for the refund for the part which would take 3-5 business days. It s been roughly 2 WEEKS!! I was able to contact him the other day only because he didn t recognize the number I called from. He said he had my refund but gave excuses as to why he hadn t been able to send it back to me. He said he would send it the next day and it s been 4 days since then. Just trying to put the warning out there for other people to please avoid using this guy as he scammed us out of all of that money and now won t even answer my calls.Service: Battery

We broke down out side of town late at night. Cody was the only person who answered. He had us get a tow to harbor freight parking lot and diagnosed the bad parts over the phone wheel hub and cv axle. I cash app d him money for parts. He arrived shortly later and showed me all the parts that were bad. And went to work. He did the whole job in front of me. It took 8 hours due to rusted parts and bolts. He explained everything he was doing along the way And only charged me 350 in Labor. It's been a few days now and trucks riding smooth. Highly recommend.

Our daughter s starter went out and it was after closing time for most shops. We searched on line and found Cody. He immediately accepted the job and completed it within a couple of hours! Cody was awesome! He went to my daughter and diagnosed the issue and got her car back running. Brought comfort to my mind knowing that he took care of the issue as promised at fair price. Dont bring your car here Seems a little questionable at first pulling up to a drive way.. but after talking to Cody I felt comfortable and confident that he would be able to get the job done. After being super unclear about when the job would be done, what was supposed to be a 1 day job turned into a 3 day job and then longer.9 days later i m towing my car away to bring it to a new mechanic. Wasted 400$ got to keep the parts but not sure why he is keeping the labor fees about 200$ he didnt do anything.

The owner is Cody James. He is *SCAM*, do NOT trust him. Read the yelp reviews, they are all the same instance. I took my car to him, said he could fix it within a day. He kept coming up with continuous lies and excuses over two weeks of why it has not been done. We had to take it to a different mechanic because he did not fix the car in the first place. It sat at his house for two weeks even though he has a shop . We had to get the police involved and go to civil court for a refund after paying him $850 before the job was complete. Lesson learned, do not pay before the job is done. The cop that was involved has had this same instance happen to several other people regarding Cody. The cop said he was the talk of the town. DO NOT TRUST CODY JAMES I REPEAT.

Cody helped me when my car needed service. I had to get an oil change, tire rotation, and the works. It had been awhile since my last service, and while we were taking a look at the vehicle, he noticed a few things that could do with some work. My power steering pump was leaking all up into the alternator and my belt was worn and chipped. He explained to me what these mean and why they can be an issue, as well as a timeframe or outcome should I choose to not get them serviced. He also broke down exactly how much parts and service would cost for each thing done. I went ahead and got the belt and power steering pump swapped out as well. He would also inform me about other maintenance issues for down the line ("this can be done every 75,000 miles," "take a look at it at this mileage," etc.) Later that day, while inspecting my brakes, he saw my brake pads had only a couple months left in them, and called to inform me. He also offered to have me come inspect it myself since I was not present if I wanted to. I decided to get the service done and he gave me a discount on the brake pads since I was already doing so much with him.When it was all said and done, he even offered to deliver the vehicle to me, and had also said he can do vehicle pick ups if needed as well. This was all serviced in the same day too! Had the car to him around 1:45, he had all the service done around 7:00 that night. Tires and fluids checked and topped off if needed. The man is a great help and is sure to give you a good, reasonable price, especially compared to some other mechanics. Cody was helpful in the beginning but did not get all the work done to my vehicle. I paid Him $150 deposit to remove a 4 wheel drive axle and replace tie rod ends. He was only able to remove the 4 wheel drive shaft but came up with excuses when he wasn t working on my vehicle to replace tie rods and ended up keeping over night at his house. The next day was no better. He came up with excuses and had me waiting all day till after 6 pm just to say he hadn t started my vehicle yet. He kept my money with out doing all the work and now dose not return my calls. He s a thief. Don t use him!!!!!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Cody Hamp is a legend. Has helped me out many times. Came out in the middle of the night to help me get my car going and didn t even charge me. Always very fair prices and fast service. Most definitely never smoked any weed in my face. I ll recommend him to everyone. We were traveling on Hwy 45 on a Saturday, when our 6.0 Diesel truck laid down on us. We had Roadside assistance towed our vehicle to the Car Doctors. The outside of the shop wasn t much to look at but Cody helped us find a place to park our travel trailer while they worked over the weekend to fix our truck. ( Sat and Sun)They had to install fuel injectors and fix some needed repairs. Cody kept us informed on the repairs, by texting pictures of the old parts, plus progress of the repairs and the re-install. Labor charges and the number of hours to do the job were very reasonable.

I paid for my 2 cars to get fixed in advance I gave him money for multiple parts and labor. Then he asked me for money 2 days after I dropped off the vehicles saying he needs to order more parts .every time I asked about my 2 vehicles Cody said he got all the parts and he s working on it as we speak .I went to his house 3 weeks later and my cars haven t been worked And he didn t have the parts I paid for . So I had to get my cars and take them to a proper mechanic shop. He promised to return my money a long time ago and has blocked my phone .Beware of this con artist don t end up like me you ll be sorry . Family and I were passing through Huntsville, when our battery light came on and the car started acting flaky. We made it to the auto zone before the car shut down. Folks at auto zone gave me their number. They were on site in the parking lot in about 10 minutes. Turns out the alternator and battery were kaput. Got battery and alternator at the zone, these guys got the old alternator out, then put in the new one, made sure the battery was secure, buttoned up the engine, and we were good to go. Thank goodness for these guys. We were back on the road and headed home safely, and the cost was reasonable. If I lived in Huntsville, I d definitely go to these guys again. When every other shop in Huntsville was busy, this was the one shop that could take me. I was super sketched out and unsure of the business as it's a sketchy looking building, but I promise it's worth it! Cody at Car Doctor is now my go-to mechanic! He's fast, extremely affordable (I'm a student with a child and I could afford him), and all around just a nice guy. Cody was very helpful late in the afternoon. We were having a hard time getting a belt replaced and he helped us get the car to his shop, then put the belt on for a very reasonable rate when no one else was able to help us! We will be back for all our repairs at this shop!

On my way to take my car from him. He s had our money and our car for a week and has not touched it. This was to fix it right from the first time he had it that he wasn t able to get it right. . Of coarse he can t refund our $180.00 for not doing not a f#*,#*g thing to it. The first time it cost us $660.00 . The ac/heater switch quit working. Thank you Cody. You definitely are not a mechanic. Save your money people unless you can afford to give it away to people like Cody. I will put a bad word out for you everywhere I can.

Car doctor did a great job fixing the air in my car! He was very transparent and explained exactly what was wrong with my car, and what I needed to get it fixed. My brother took his truck here and it sat there for 2 months without being worked on. He just kept getting continuous lies and excuses about when it will be done and this guy is horrible at communication. Makes you pay before the work is done and my brother has been trying for over a month to get almost $2000 refunded back to him that he gave him as a payment, even though they never did any actual work on his truck. All he gets are excuses, or ignored calls. I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone, they re scam artists and super unprofessional. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I CAN NOT TELL YOU HOW THANKFUL AND BLESS I AM FOR THE CAR DOCTOR, CODY!! 10/10!!! Listen y all, it s Friday Night and my husband, 6 year old son and I are from a small city outside of Houston. 2 hours away! Driving to Dallas for a mimi get away. When we run over a big iron rod in the middle of the Highway that put a hole the size of a quarter in my oil pan, leaking oil everywhere!!! We did not even know we had a leak until We made it to madisonvillie, which is about 30 or so minutes past Huntsville. We turn around and start heading to Huntsville to fine a repair shop. We called EVERYWHERE! Every place was closed or could not fix it until Monday. I kid you not I found car doctor on my google maps randomly and gave them a call... Cody answered right away and was instantly helpful! He met us at the local oreilys since it was after hours and inspected our car. Gave us full detail of what was wrong, charged us for the parts and labor of course, very good pricing! but honestly I don t care about pricing. This man stopped his life, on a Friday night to help out my little family so we wouldn t be stranded away from home. I ll forever be grateful for Cody for helping us this late at night and being so respectful and kind hearted. They even gave us a ride back to their shop when our car was ready... seriously such great people. I would 10/10 recommend to anyone!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Im pretty sure this place is a scam, Im not sure where all the positive reviews are from. He said everyday for 2 weeks he'd have my car fixed tonight, leaving me stranded for work, I had it towed and brought somewhere else and he was not even trying to fix the right thing, he misdiagnosed it. After a whole drama he only refunded me part of my payment, even though he did nothing but take apart my car and leave me stranded. I had to have my brother confront him on giving me my money back, because he refused to pick up my calls, and talk to me. Kept telling my brother he would refund me, he did eventually about a week late and only a part of it.He said he was okay with me paying late on a part, and then blamed his lack of work on that I had not paid him in full, mind you It was 150$ out of a 500$ payment I had already made. He should have just told me I cant pay the part late so I could have known and find a loan, instead of scamming me. It was a horrible experience, and I would not go to this mechanic ever again. If he is going to respond to this post, please know I am not replying to you, and im not taking this post down.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Cody Hampton is nothing short of a scam artist. This has been a nightmare and we have been disputing the charge with the bank, cash app etc for months. I now have to get an attorney just to get my money back . The good reviews you see are lies. I hope no one else has fo go through this . PLEASE DONT ITS A SCAM
