This review is way overdue. Back in April of 2023 we purchased a Ford F550 service truck on auction in Humble, TX. We picked it up on Wed but needed to drive it back to Indiana by Friday! We were desperate to find someone to look it over and make it safe to drive that long distance. Kevin at Specialized dropped everything and got us in that Wednesday. He went through the truck from front to back and top to bottom. For a fair price he did some much needed maintenance and got us on the road by Friday. I'm happy to say we made it safely back to Indiana without an issue. We highly recommend Specialized Truck and Auto. Fair, honest and just a great company to work with. Thanks again to Specialized for helping out a visitor to your city!

Great service! I finally found my car guy in Houston. The family business makes you feel comfortable. All items that need to be addressed are clearly explained and prices are fair. I enjoyed the updates along the way using the text feature. I knew what was happening at all points of the repair. I am fully satisfied with the product and service delivered.

I definitely recommend Specialized Truck and Auto. I've been coming here for about 5 years and always have gotten my issues fixed and my warranties honored. They have great customer service and Kevin is always updating you about the progress. I've recommended this place to friends and family.

Truly appreciate Mr. Kevin and his beautiful wife for taking great care of my father and family as well as being God-fearing as well. I know that sometimes things don't always play out in our best interests when it comes to vehicles but he does have everyone's best interest at heart. I love and thank them for always being there when our vehicles need an honest person to take care of it and we know that they honor their promises and will right any wrong by valuing their customers loyalty and their concerns at any given time. I pray that God continues to bless his establishment going forward and we will always be apart of the Specialized Truck and Auto family.

The owners have the most amazing and friendly customer service. Kevin is a very personable and professional business owner. Had issues with my wheel bearing and Kevin did an inspection and got me in right away to fix the issue. While fixing that issue he discovered that my rear breaks were almost metal on metal. So glad I went to them before it got worse. Highly recommended them for any auto repair needs!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Brakes

First I want to say Thank You Kevin and crew- you told me I would notice a difference right away when I drove my Suv home- oh ya I did.!I was so impressed when my son brought his truck into Kevin's shop for an issue- but little did I know i would also being coming in a week later.I can't say enough good things about the customer service- repairs- communications during repair about this business.If you want honest business people and great service - look into this business you will not be disappointedService: Transmission

Specialized Truck & Auto is not in my neighborhood , but when I called to ask about installing a catalytic converter security shield, Kevin, the owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was installed perfectly and his price was very fair. The receptionist Keeley and I became quick friends! She was very professional and made me feel very welcome in their family owned business. We would not hesitate to drive the extra miles for our car maintenance the next time we need their services! Highly recommend!Service: General repairs & maintenance

My husband went here and talked with Kevin about a catalytic converter shield. After looking at the car, Kevin told him that because of the design of the car, it did not need one. This saved us over $500 by not having one installed. Nice to see honest business folks! I would definitely return and recommend Kevin and this business.

I found this shop as I sat on the side of the road waiting on a tow truck. I called and the owner, Kevin was concerned that I was on the highway and was going to come help me get off. I told him I made it to a parking lot and would be there later. Got to his shop and only took about 30 minutes for him to find my problem. I asked since it was there to look at some other problems I was having. He ended up fixing a fuel system problem, cooling system problem, A/C problem and a wiring problem with lightning harness. He did all these things and even put a flasher module in after I was picking it up that he didn t know was bad. He didn t charge me because he told me he should have caught that before I got there. Kevin is very honest and knows what he is doing and that is hard to find in a mechanic shop. He does quality work but he is not a cheap mechanic. Kevin is a quality technician that is worth his price! For everything he did on my truck he was over a 1k less than other shops I have dealt with and he was honest about everything. I have a F250 with a 6.0 turbo diesel and that s like telling shops you have a Corvette. Price seems to always go up but it didn t here. Thanks Kevin for everything. I found my guy for my old truck from now on.

I have taken multiple vehicles to Kevin and team, and I have been thoroughly impressed with their knowledge and customer service. They are an honest bunch, and do not try to up sell you for stuff you don't need, and I have been 100% satisfied with each visit (vehicles 10 to 25 years old). They know their way around each vehicle. As another reviewer mentioned, 'they keep me up-to-date on any new issues they may run to and are on time with their deadlines' this goes a long way to customer satisfaction. I highly recommend their work.

We are very pleased with the service provided by Specialized Truck & Auto Service. We like that we can drop off our truck and we know that Kevin will take care of whatever is wrong with it. Above all, Kevin is a very honest man. I highly recommend Specialized Truck and Auto Service.Kevin and his team worked on our F350 and got it running great! The owner, Kevin, took very good care of me and my truck. He took the time to understand my needs, explain what I'll need, and also how he operates his shop. Very educated in his trade. Took excellent care of my Dodge Ram 5500. This will be my new go to shop. Definitely recommend!

Brought my vehicle for an oil change couple months ago for a great price and was done very fast. Kevin is very knowledgeable and is passionate on what he does. Fast forward to now my A/C condenser was broken due to an accident and I couldn't find someone that would fix it in less than a week, until I remembered this place. Kevin fixed my problem in 1 day at an affordable price. Overall this is the place to go if your looking for honest and A1 service on your vehicle, I will continue to bring my vehicle here for any future services I need.

I recently had a bunch of work done to my 2003 PT Cruiser at Specialized Truck and Auto! I has a Wish list for my car and EVERY repair was completed and for an amazing price!! My search for a trustworthy, reliable and hard working mechanic is over!! As long as I live in Texas I will NEVER go anywhere else! The Office staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. This is the greatest place ever!!! Look no further. Thank you SO much for all of your fantastic work and friendliness. Initially I had taken my car to a mechanic down the road from my house for a head gasket replacement. The owner of that shop acted like I was inconveniencing him asking for a quote, I left that shop with very little info and unhappy. After leaving I started to google and found specialized truck and auto and saw how many great reviews the shop had, I gave it a shot and I m glad I did. Kevin took the time to give me a quote on a day he was actually closed but just catching up on some other work. After receiving the quote it wasn t too cheap to be skeptical of the work nor was it too high to make me look elsewhere. Kevin took the time to break down everything in the quote making it all understandable. Throughout the entire process Kevin regularly kept me updated on the progress of my car. There s not many mechanics as good and honest as this guy out there anymore and I m really glad I happened to find him. I highly suggest using this shop the next time you have a problem or need simple preventative maintenance.

I have been searching years for a good mechanic and I feel so bless to have found Kevin and his staff at Specialized Truck and Auto. Kevin repaired the blown engine on my Audi A4. He even managed to charge me less than his originally quoted price to fix my car. He also changed my front and rear brakes for a reasonable price as well. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and he truly cares about his customers and the service that his company provides. I will continue to utilize Specialized Truck and Auto for all my future vehicle needs.

After reading the good reviews about this shop i decided to give it a shot and check it out. This is a small local shop owned by Kevin with 2 employees currently. They are very knowledgeable and have great customer service.I own a 3000GT which most shops don't have much experience working on, so it was nice to see Kevin had experience with these vehicles. These guys went out of there way to check over the issues and concerns i had as well as explained things very well.I can be that PITA customer and these guys really went out of there way to answer any questions i had thoroughly explain things. These guys are honest and clearly have lots of experience and knowledge working on vehicles.They do not have an alignment machine nor a tire machine. However less then 100ft from the building is an alignment shop who I've heard does fantastic work. There is also a tire shop less then half a mile down the road in case you encounter any of those needs. They are in the processes of moving to a new shop and I'm sure will have more nice toys shortly.

I have know Kevin at specialized truck and auto for almost 3years now and he is honest very thorough and goes great work. He has fixed all of my cars my sons cars and now I have my mother going there so he has become her mechanic also. He is also customer friendly and explain everything the he has to do to get your car running again. Great guy an I highly recommend him, and he has very reasonable pricing.

Kevin and his team are wonderful! They are knowledgeable, caring, and TRUSTWORTHY professionals who exemplify customer service. As a mother, it is of the utmost importance that I have reliable transportation. Having been taken advantage of by so many mechanics in the past, I'd become a little leery about taking my car to be serviced. Thank God I don't have to feel that way anymore! My dad recommended this shop, which is now where my family will entrust our vehicles for all services. Thank you Kevin!

Kevin is as honest and hard-working as the day is long!! He takes care of all our vehicles and I contacted him for his advice before I purchased my new car! Expertise is not cheap, you get what you pay for and more!!! Came to this place after all the positive reviews I saw on google... Kevin definitely has my business in the future should I need it. This man is so friendly & knowledgeable explaining the issue I believed I had but turns out it wasn't an issue at all lol. I honestly came here thinking I was gonna leave here with a dent in my wallet after believing I had a blown head gasket. I was so wrong & Kevin thoroughly explained to me what a minor issue I had and I'm just grateful for such a trustworthy mechanic! His wife at the front office was really nice and polite as well. I'd give this business 10 stars if I could!

GREAT SERVICE & WONDERFUL PEOPLE!(REPAIR DONE: Clutch kit & flywheel replacement)When it comes to my car I usually spend a good amount of time searching, calling and comparing different places for good service. By far this has been my best experience! The people at ST&AS are knowledgeable, friendly, honest and offer great prices! I moved to Tx in 2012. My daughter recommended Kevin to do work on my 1997 Ford Ranger. Being an older vehicle, I had several jobs done. Each time Kevin did a great job. He has always been dependable. Once he fixed my A/C and it stopped working again. He checked it out to find that the part he had put in was defective. It was under warranty so we didn t have to pay for it. Kevin also put the second part on at no cost to me. He stands behind his work. I believe he also loves his line of work. He is fair and upfront. I recommend him highly.
