David is amazing! He is very knowledgeable of what you need and what you don t. I brought 10 qts of oil for my truck and they gave me back 2 because that s all the truck required. If your looking for honesty and great prices come here or go get ripped off else where.

First time doing my state inspection here, it was really convenient since I was running errands in the area. They were quick and also notified me that my inspection would be cheaper since my car is an earlier year!! My new inspection spot!

I had my check engine light come on and found out I needed my AGR valve replaced. I was then a single mom. My dad was usually my mechanic, but he was unavailable at the time. I took my car in to have the valve replaced so I could pass my inspection. About 2 days later my check engine light came back on. I took it back to them, but they wanted to keep my car a couple more days. I couldn t afford to be without my vehicle cause of my job and I couldn t then afford a rental. Long story short, ny dad finally came down and fixed my car. What he showed me made me so mad with this shop. My old AGR valve had never been replaced! It was still in there when my dad put a brand new one in! This place is a rip off! Non trustworthy! Head to Ultimate Car down the street, ask for Ben. He treats women with respect and mostly you can trust him.Service: Electrical

We took our car for a brake job and they took a day to do the repairs. Told my husband that they replaced rotors, calibers, brake pads, and they bleed the brake lines. We paid $635.00. To a bill that was told to us $630.00 on the phone.Two to three days later our front driver side brakes caught on fire. We had to have the car towed to them again paying for towing $16.00. It took them a week and they still couldn't figure out what was causing the rotor and the brakes to heat up. Then they said the master cylinder. Would cost us $375.00 to replace the master cylinder. I said no, we had to tow our car again to our home. Paid another $16.00 for a tow. Then we have to have someone else to look at the brakes.They found out that the rotor was warped, the brake shoes were burnt, and the brake fluid was dirty. All these things had to be replaced and flushed. These things we were told that were done. We pay another $220.00 to get this done. We are so sorry that we lost our money. But we will no longer go to this mechanic for anything. We even tried to talk with the owner Lewis to at least recoup some of our money to no avail. Told Dave to have him call us, we didn't get a call. We came a second time to the shop and spoke to his son, and he said that he would have him call. Nothing happened. We understood that no one cared about how we felt or how our car was repaired. This is the new customer service. Pay attention everyone care is out the window when it comes to auto repair. The cost is too high.

I took my old school car in to get my AC checked for blowing warm air but prior to this my AC blowed ice cold air & worked fine. They told me I need a new evaporator core in which they replaced, but the mechanic who replaced it tore my housing case up & left it with large gaping holes. The air escapes out of these holes & it prevents my air from getting like it once did. They refused to repair the damage that their mechanic did to my case housing & now I'm stuck with a very nice mint condition old school car that runs very good but with warm AC. I regret taking my car to Louis Ace Automotive. If they couldn't have made repairs with out damaging other parts, well they should've said so. Posted of customer... I will never do business with this garage again.

I came here a few months ago to ask for a quote on fixing my headlight. The wire is eroded and I assumed it could just be replaced. The manager told me I'd have to replace the entire headlight and it would cost $250. Didn't make sense to me, so I left and got a quote from another shop in a different area. They're going to charge me $65 because all I need is to replace a dang wire, like I thought at first.I'm not sure if L&D was lazy or just trying to rip me off, but this definitely doesn't seem like good business.

This place is a rip off! I loaned my car to my in-laws and the check engine light came on. They stopped here, as it was on the way to their next destination, and they were charged $75 to see why why the check engine came on! ***Keep in mind, Auto zone and O'Reilly does this FREE of charge***

I don t mean to run any one s business down, but I went to this establishment to have my car checked out because it was overheating. I met David a good nice guy and he charged me 54usd to check out/diagnose my car.He called the mechanic who checked it out and said my water pump was bad, David quoted me 847usd. Confused I almost cried.....he offered for me to get a credit card which I declined, he said he would speak to the guy to reduce the amount for workmanship but I was to distraught to wait. So I left.I called my friend who was a mechanic to come check out my car he discovered it was my radiator cap which was bad, I went to Autozone to buy it for 10usd since then my car hasn t run hot any more.I don t know if I was shocked, angry or relieved. Again I m not here to run down a business just sharing my experience.

I am very please with the service. they are the only people that I will take my car to and my daughter only takes her car there because they know all about our cars the prices are very fair . I have been with them for about 3 years and enjoy the work that they do .

The mechanic name is Lewis. I went there for a state inspection. My engine light was on due to my gas cap. Mr. Lewis was kindly enough to try to find a cap for my car. Unsuccessful, he reset my computer. With instructions to drive up to fifty miles. He and his staff are honest.

I been coming here for 30yrs now I love these people I feel like family. If I need work done I always bring my cars here fair price and they work with you on the repairs will never try to cheat you.

I was looking around for a someone who could fix my door knob. I went in and guy tells me if gonna be 75$ for them just to basically unscrew 7 bolts and tell me what i need. I then i checked google maps went to tex mex . They opened the door and help me to see what they needed, they told me it was nothing but a 20$ part i needed. For free. This place left a burning image of how machanics will try and screw you.

This is the worst place i have ever been to the mechanics tried to fight my husband after we asked for a refund because we been there 7x for the same mistake I talked to David after it happened and he was so ruined he didn't care and my car never got fixed 600 dollars wasted and they are beyond rude I wish I never went in there please don't go they hate fixing their own mistakes NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!Service: Engine repair

They have A1 service...I send all my family and friends to this shop. If it's broke they will fix it. I never had a problem. The mechanics are very professional.

lewis Ace Automotive/ L&D I been coming here for the past 20yrs and I love the work they do I come from Galveston to get my cars work on and never had a problem with this shop and hope my kids and their kids come here.

Bad service, not very knowledgeable, they will rip you off. Everytime they fix one thing I think they break something else or just lie and say you need this and that. I hate this place
